Chapter 23 Detective
When a murder is discovered, the first people to appear are usually the patrol officers who are responsible for maintaining the scene. They will quickly take effective measures to ensure order at the scene and prevent evidence from being destroyed or lost.

Then there are the technicians from the Forensic Department, who work in collaboration with the patrol officers.

When the patrol officers and the forensic department have completed their initial work, the next level of detectives will be in charge of further investigations into the case. They will be responsible for subsequent investigations and follow-up based on the various evidence collected.

The detective who took over the case was quite low-key and drove an ordinary classic Santana.

It is a configuration of one man and one woman.

Surprisingly, after getting out of the car, the two men saw Eric standing guard outside the apartment building and looked at each other.

"Costa, is this one of the talents you've noticed recently?" the woman asked.

Costa raised an eyebrow, averted his gaze, and pulled open the cordon in front of him. He said calmly, "Have you ever seen such a handsome patrolman?"

Peña naturally understood what Costa meant. She had heard that the person Costa was paying attention to was the most handsome patrolman in the West Canyon Police Department and very capable. She looked at Eric carefully for a few times, as if she was nourishing her eyes.

"Of course not. If you had such a handsome guy in your new team, I would really welcome him."

"I thought so," Costa responded and walked into the apartment building.

"When the time comes, I will seriously consider whether I can bring you some invisible benefits."

"I hope so." Peña withdrew his gaze and followed his partner inside.

at the same time.

Eric was looking at the two detectives, and he couldn't help but feel a little uneasy when he thought about how they kept looking at him.

There are quite a few detectives in the Detective Bureau, and as a patrol officer working on the front line, it is impossible for him to have met all of them, so these two detectives are indeed quite unfamiliar to him.

"They must have never seen a handsome guy!" Eric thought.

But soon, he began to formally contact the two detectives.

Costa and Peña came out not long after they went in and went straight to Eric, the client, to ask about the details of the case.

"Hey, man, can you tell me more details?" Costa glanced at Grann, who was still in a daze in the police car, and then looked at Eric in front of him.

They were a bit distant just now, but when they met face to face, Costa realized that the guy in front of him was really handsome. Not only was he tall, but his skin was also very good and delicate, like that of a young man who enjoyed himself.

"Although the case can be closed, the trial would be faster if more details were known."

Peña stood in the back, looking at Eric with a kind smile.

Eric said seriously, "Sir, I've received a report of an assault. The victim is Reina, the caller. She said her son, Grann, was high on drugs and was slashing with a kitchen knife, trying to hurt her."

Eric told the whole story in great detail, emphasizing the blood-stained kitchen knife and Grann's strange behavior.

Costa and Peña looked at each other and nodded.

"OK! Thank you for your cooperation, officer." Costa said, pointing to the suspect sitting in the police car.

"Please take him to the police station and lock him up there. We'll deal with him later."

"Yes, sir," Eric replied.

Although he didn't know the positions of these two people, no matter what, the status of a detective was very special, and was equal to the superintendent of the branch, such as his boss Daves.

If we compare them one by one, a first-level detective is greater than 3+1DT and less than a first-level superintendent. A second-level detective is already equal to a first-level superintendent. Similarly, a third-level detective is equal to a second-level superintendent.

As a lowly patrolman, it was definitely right for him to call the commander "chief".

"Yeah." Costa nodded and prepared to leave with Peña behind him, but he stopped after taking a few steps and asked.

"Officer, what's your name?"

Eric raised an eyebrow and said, "Eric, Eric Stevens, sir."

"Not bad!"

Costa gave him a thumbs-up, then he and Peña got back into the classic Santana and drove away.

"That's strange, why did you ask my name so suddenly?" Eric watched Santana leave, with a strange feeling still lingering in his heart. He felt as if these two people had noticed him a long time ago.

But after thinking about it carefully, Eric still couldn't figure it out, so he could only look at Annie who was also standing guard obediently on the side.

"Rookie! Let's go! Take the suspect back to the police station." Annie subconsciously looked at the somewhat empty scene.

Eric understood what she meant: "Leave it to Will and the others! There will be others coming soon!"

Hearing this, Annie could only nod and follow Eric out of the scene and into the Explorer patrol car.

Eric was still driving. He looked back at the suspect who had fainted again for some unknown reason, started the car and drove away from the scene.

"This is the first case you have experienced. What do you think?"

Annie was silent for a moment, the scene and the outrageous truth flashing through her mind:

"Life is so fragile, it's a tragedy."

Eric glanced at the rearview mirror, looking at Annie's reflection in the mirror, and saw her thoughtful expression: "Rookie, do you know what you are doing? Looking for meaning in a tragedy?

From my experience, this is totally useless.

What I need is what you found from my response behavior in this case!
What I need is for you to learn from your experience, not do useless things! OK? "

Annie pursed her lips: "Yes! Sir!"

Eric raised the corner of his mouth slightly: "Then continue!"

"."

"Analyze the police situation, analyze the factors of the case, and be alert to all possible situations.
Observe whether the scene conforms to normal circumstances, imagine in your mind what the suspect will do, and then respond accordingly."

An Explorer patrol car quietly drove into the West Canyon Police Station detention area.

Eric looked at Annie, who had just summarized her journey, and a hint of satisfaction flashed in his eyes.

This girl is really smart. She can come up with a satisfactory answer from beginning to end just by looking at it with her eyes.

It's just talk, he doesn't know what the actual action will be like.

"OK! I need you to remember the experience you just summarized and strive to make it your own one day."

Eric said this calmly and got out of the car under Annie's gaze.

Annie breathed a sigh of relief, knowing that her summary had passed. She looked back at Grann, who had woken up but remained silent, and followed Eric out of the car.

"Okay, Trainee Police Officer Annie, show me what you learned in the police academy."

Eli stood at the front of the car and spoke calmly to Annie.

"You come and escort the prisoner off the bus!"

"Uh, first of all."

It was another test, and Annie was a little caught off guard, but she reacted in time.

"Put on your gloves! And then get the prisoner out of the car."

She took out the gloves she had been wearing and put them on, opened the back door, looked at Grann, the silent matricide, suppressed her nervousness, grabbed Grann's hand, lowered his head, and forcibly brought him out.

Fortunately, Grann seemed to have accepted his fate, knowing that struggling in the police station was useless or that he had no strength to struggle, so he did not resist at all, which made Annie feel a little relieved.

Eric took Grann and forced him to stand against the wall. The guy had taken drugs and fell twice, and his whole body was limp.

Then he looked at Annie, his eyes indicating that he wanted to continue.

"Uh, and check the back seat."

Annie continued to lean into the back seat, and Eric stared at her without blinking as her posture highlighted her graceful figure.

"Didn't find anything." Annie got out of the car, closed the door, and looked at Eric.

"What's the next step?" Eric said calmly.

Annie naturally took control of the prisoner:

"Send the prisoner to the holding cell!"
