Chapter 10 Tang Yue's Suspicion

Qin Xiaonan slowly opened his eyes, and what came into view was a white ceiling.

The smell of disinfectant irritated his nose, reminding him that he was lying in the hospital. He tilted his head slightly and saw his mother sitting beside the bed, holding his hand tightly with both hands, her eyes full of worry.

"Xiaonan." The mother's voice was choked with sobs. "You finally woke up."

Qin Xiaonan smiled and said, "Mom, I'm fine, don't worry."

His mother clearly didn't believe him. She reached out and touched his forehead. "You said you were fine, but you've been in a coma for two days. I heard someone say there were unidentified energy fluctuations in your body and you needed close observation. What's going on?"

"Mom, I'm really fine." Qin Xiaonan tried to sit up, but was held down by her mother.

"Don't move, just lie still." The mother said, her eyes red again. "How come you are such a worrying child?"

Just then, the door of the ward was gently pushed open.

Qin Xiaonan looked up and was stunned - the person who came was actually Teacher Tang Yue.

"Teacher Tang Yue, why are you here?" he asked in surprise.

Tang Yue did not answer immediately, but turned to Qin Xiaonan's mother and smiled gently: "Auntie, I am a teacher at Xiaonan's school. I heard that he was in the hospital, so I came to see him."

"Oh, thank you so much." The mother quickly stood up. "You guys chat, I'll get you a glass of water."

"Sorry for the trouble, Auntie." Tang Yue said politely.

As soon as her mother walked out of the ward, Tang Yue's expression immediately became serious.

She walked to the bedside and looked down at Qin Xiaonan. "You possess an earth-type spirit seed that can repel general-level demons, and the demons want to leave their mark on you at all costs. Tell me, what's going on?"

Tang Yue already knew the whole process of what happened yesterday through Mo Fan.

Qin Xiaonan hesitated for a moment and said, "Teacher Tang Yue, it's not that I don't want to tell you, but you won't believe it even if I tell you."

"Whether you believe it or not is my business. You just need to tell the truth." Tang Yue's tone left no room for doubt.

Tang Yue's true identity is far more than just an ordinary teacher.

Qin Xiaonan took a deep breath, as if thinking about how to answer.

After a moment, he revealed a helpless smile: "Teacher Tang Yue, how rich do you think the Black Church is? Would they be willing to give so many precious things directly to a junior mage like me?"

"Actually, these resources were gifted to me by a master. He said that I am talented and will surely become an extraordinary person in the future."

Tang Yue's eyes flickered with suspicion after hearing this, but she didn't immediately refute it. She was silent for a moment, as if trying to weigh the truth of Qin Xiaonan's words.

Then, she changed the subject and asked another key question: "Do you know what the mark that was planted on you is?"

Of course Qin Xiaonan knew about it, the fox demon Qingning told him, otherwise he would not have allowed the sandworm to plant it on his body.

Tang Yue nodded, a hint of urgency in her tone. "That's right. That's why I'm asking you, what did you do to make this demon target you? Sandworms don't choose their targets for no reason. Their actions must have some purpose."

Qin Xiaonan knew that the monarch-level sandworm determined its position in this way, probably to protect itself rather than to hurt him.

Just then, the door of the ward was gently pushed open, and Qin Xiaonan's mother walked in with a cup of warm water and some fruit.

She had a concerned smile on her face and her eyes glanced back and forth between Qin Xiaonan and Tang Yue, obviously having no idea what their conversation was about.

Tang Yue immediately put away the serious expression on her face and replaced it with a gentle smile.

She stood up and said to Qin Xiaonan in a relaxed tone, "You should take good care of yourself and put aside your school classes for now. When you are almost recovered, I will find time to make up for it with you."

"Thank you, Teacher Tang Yue."

When Qin Xiaonan's mother heard this, she quickly put down the things in her hands and said to Tang Yue enthusiastically, "Teacher Tang, thank you so much for troubling you!"

Tang Yue smiled slightly and responded gently, "Auntie, you're too kind. Xiaonan is a very smart student. I'm just doing my duty."
