Chapter 8. We are all of the same origin.

“Perfect timing. You are the most reasonable among the Tongtianmen subordinates, so you shall judge this matter.”

Upon hearing this, the Tongtian Sect Leader still stubbornly retorted, "What do you know, you're just a child?"

As for Yuanshi Tianzun, he smiled and said, "Ji Yuan is still the one who truly understands me. I don't know how Tongtian could have raised you to have such a temperament."

Upon hearing this, the Tongtian Sect Leader was about to lose his temper again.

Ji Yuan advised, "I learned everything from my master. He's just confused because he's worried."

"I have a very good relationship with Junior Brother Duobao and Junior Brother Taiyi in private. The two of them often disagree on weapon forging, but Junior Brother Taiyi often finds weapon forging materials for Junior Brother Duobao. Our relationship remains the same. Upon hearing this, the Tongtian Sect Leader said to the Primordial Heavenly Lord, "This time it was indeed the fault of my disciples. I will discipline them properly when I return."

Laozi smiled and said, "That's right. We have gone through countless eons and seen countless sights. How can we be outdone by juniors?"

The conflict between Yuanshi Tianzun and Tongtian Jiaozhu has been going on for a long time, and he has acted as a peacemaker many times. But now it seems that Ji Yuan is more suitable, and he can finally get some rest.

Ji Yuan's aura, imbued with the fortune of heaven and earth, is truly delightful, giving one the feeling of auspiciousness bestowed by heaven. Having him mediate is certainly a good thing.

Then Laozi looked at Yuanshi Tianzun and said, "If Tongtian's disciple makes a mistake, let him handle it."

As he spoke, an object floated into the hand of the Primordial Celestial Venerable. It was a lamp, nine inches tall, with a base engraved with twelve blue lotus petals. The entire lamp was crystal clear, and the wick burned with blue and purple flames.

"This is the Jade Void Glazed Lamp. The flame of its wick is the Ancient Flame of Myriad Spirits, which has the ability to reflect one's true nature and investigate all spirits. Take it to examine the disciple's character."

Upon hearing this, the Tongtian Sect Leader immediately declined and offered to exchange it for a treasure of the same level.

Upon hearing this, Yuanshi Tianzun let out a cold laugh:
"Who wants to trade with you? As an elder, I find Ji Yuan quite pleasing to the eye. What's wrong with giving him a treasure? What? Are you trying to control your disciple?"

Ji Yuan felt secretly pleased.
