A farming master in Stardew Valley

Chapter 947 Drinking Tea

Chapter 947 Drinking Tea
Sandy rolled his eyes and ignored Leon, just looking at the two large gray footprints left on the white carpet, wondering if he could ask his boss for reimbursement for a new one.

Emily followed Leon's footsteps directly, and explained in Leon's puzzled eyes: "I also plan to go back to Stardew Valley, let's go together."

"That's fine. By the way, did you come here by bus or by car?" Leon didn't mind. If Emily came by bus, there would be no problem in letting her take a ride.

"Bus, in return for the ride, let me be the driver," Emily replied.

"Yeah, that's fine. I'm really fine. I just look a little tired, but I'm actually in good shape. If you're worried about me, there's no need to force yourself to leave early."

As soon as Leon nodded, he caught a look of resentment from Sandy. He immediately realized that Emily's departure was probably to take care of him, which was considered as forcibly interrupting Emily and Sandy's girlfriends' gathering. So he immediately explained his specific situation to Emily to avoid being recorded in Sandy's notebook.

"I really plan to go back. I have to work at Gus's place tonight." Emily answered Leon seriously, then turned around and waved goodbye to Sandy.

"Goodbye, Sandy. I'll see you next week."

"Okay, I'll wait for you. Take care." Sandy changed the ferocious expression he had shown to Leon before, and gave Emily a hug with a reluctant and expectant smile on his face. Then, when Emily couldn't see, he raised his middle finger at Leon.

Leon was not polite either. After giving Sandy a middle finger in return, he stopped being angry with her and quickly opened the door and ran away.

After Leon got in the car, started the engine and turned on the air conditioner, Emily also came out of the Oasis store. She found Leon's Beast pickup truck at a glance, trotted over, and went straight to the door of the main driver's seat and knocked on the glass.

"Just get in the car. I'm really fine. I can take you to Stardew Valley safely." Leon knew what Emily meant, but since he had fastened his seatbelt, he didn't plan to move. He was a little tired, but it wasn't fatigue driving, so there was no need for Emily to be his designated driver.

Emily hesitated for a moment, and finally went around to the other side, opened the door and sat in the passenger seat, but she still did not forget to remind Leon: "Don't be stubborn. If you feel tired, stop the car and switch seats with me at any time."

"Don't worry." Leon waved his hand, then gripped the steering wheel tightly, stepped on the clutch and released the brake, and stepped on the accelerator to drive the car out of the parking lot and into the main road.

During this time, Emily had been staring at Leon's movements and face. He looked like he was ready to rescue her at any time, which made her feel very stressed. She could only start chatting to distract her.

"Gus's tavern business has been booming lately, can you handle it?"

"I'm fine. After all, it's still the same old customers. Only Gus is busier than before." Sure enough, due to the interference of the topic, Emily's attention to Leon dropped sharply. Although her eyes still glanced over here from time to time, she didn't stare at him as intently as before.

"Gus is enjoying a second spring in his career. It's better for him to be busy. It's a good opportunity for him to lose some belly fat." Lyon joked.

"It's not easy for him to lose weight." Emily couldn't help but cover her mouth and laugh when she heard it. She obviously got what Leon meant.

Just when Leon was about to continue chatting about this topic and completely convince Emily that he was fine, Emily suddenly said, “What about you? What have you been busy with recently? I haven’t seen you in the tavern for a long time.”

"I'm busy on the farm. When I'm done with the farm work, I go fishing or work in the mines. When it gets dark, I go home and cook for myself. That's why I go to the pub less often." Leon answered casually.

"I thought Abigail had prepared dinner and was waiting for you to come back, but I didn't expect you to have to cook it yourself." Emily frowned slightly and looked a little unhappy. "She cooks most of the time now. I rarely cook anymore," Leon explained.

"Has Sophia moved into the farmhouse?" Emily asked again.

"Occasionally, she also has a vineyard to take care of." Leon replied, feeling a little embarrassed. After all, Emily's tone always sounded sour.

"I didn't expect your relationship to develop to this point. What are your plans for the future? Are you going to marry both of them? That's illegal." Emily continued to ask, while her eyes were completely fixed on Leon's face, trying to observe his expression.

But she did not see any confusion or panic on Leon's face, but rather confidence and pride.

"Don't worry, I have a title now, and the legal provisions of bigamy pose no threat to me."

"When did you become a noble?" Emily was so shocked by the unexpected news that her mouth was wide open.

"Not long ago, I was lucky to get this title. I happened to catch a good opportunity and gained some honors and contributions." Lyon said briefly without going into details about the reason for obtaining the title.

After all, there are some secrets and exchanges of interests involved, and there is a high probability that there are other forces behind the acquisition of this title, which Lyon himself cannot quite explain.

"Noble, do I have to call you 'Sir' from now on?" Emily did not dwell on the origin of Leon's title. Instead, she teased Leon about his current identity with great interest.

"Forget it. The nobility is no longer the high and mighty upper class it used to be. It's just a special symbol of status." Leon quickly waved his hand to reject Emily's teasing. If Emily really called him a noble sir, Leon himself couldn't stand it.

"I'm just kidding, don't take it seriously. I just didn't expect that I could have such a noble friend. Haley has been complaining that your identity as a farmer is a bit ordinary. If she knew that you are a noble now, I'm afraid her face would turn red." Emily continued to tease Leon.

"Then remember to take a picture and show me what she looks like. It must be very exciting." Leon agreed, and at the same time secretly complained in his heart that Hailey's description of him was definitely not ordinary, but rather rustic. However, it was not definitely not out of contempt, and it was more of a joke to a friend.

"Forget it. If your girlfriends see me sending you pictures of girls, I might get into big trouble." Emily muttered with an embarrassed look on her face.

"That's possible, but I was just kidding." Leon continued as Emily said, also to avoid suspicion. After all, the situation at home had finally eased, and Leon didn't want to cause himself more trouble.

Lyon naturally knew what Emily was thinking, because she had never concealed it. Originally, Lyon thought that after what happened at the Hawaiian party, she would completely give up, but now it seems that this is not the case. In the conversation just now, Lyon clearly felt a hint of tea.

However, he did not dislike Emily for this. Instead, he found it quite interesting. After all, tea may seem unpleasant to outsiders, but when you are a tea connoisseur, it has a different flavor.

Drinking tea is an elegant thing.
