Who let this Dementor into Hogwarts!

Chapter 225 What’s the use of Edward at home?

Chapter 225 What’s the use of Edward at home?
"So are you paying for it?" Cohen asked. "How much is it a month?"

"I paid it." Edward started the car and nodded. "Your mother and I originally wanted to give it two Galleons a week - if it was willing to take care of the housework and cook delicious meals... But it said it only wanted one Galleon a month to buy clothes and prepare gifts for friends."

"In that case, then your last bit of use in this family is gone, isn't it?" Cohen asked curiously.

Now it doesn’t even have a 3.0 rating!
Along the way, Edward was debating with Cohen about "whether Edward has value in this family". In the end, Edward won the debate for reasons that could not be stated but were known to both parties.

"It's so good to be an adult..." Cohen sighed as he got out of the car.

"I haven't seen you find a girlfriend at school." Edward patted the back of Cohen's head. "Do you hang out in the Forbidden Forest with your friends every day?"

"Women are the root of all trouble!" Cohen said sternly. "Look at your belly and chin. Aren't you looking more and more like a greasy, middle-aged, decadent old man? You've been ruined by women in this life..."

"Nonsense, I'm middle-aged, and I'm not decadent at all!" Edward deliberately shrunk his beer belly, "Your grandma always says I'm skinny--"

"The belt's off," Cohen reminded.

Edward awkwardly relaxed his taut abdominal muscles to prevent his pants from falling down in the street.

As soon as he entered the house, a little creature with two green eyes the size of tennis balls and big bat-like ears ran quickly to Cohen.

Unlike the house-elf who used to wear a teapot cover, Dobby was now wearing an old little sweater - which looked to Coin like it was left over from his former self.

"Welcome home, sir!"

"Snapped!"

Cohen slammed the door shut. With the door open and Dobby's appearance as a little monster that was clearly not from the "real world", he would easily be seen by outsiders.

"Didn't Edward and Rose tell you that this is Muggle territory?" Cohen frowned. "Don't show up in the hallway..."

"I'm sorry, sir! Dobby has been thinking about this! Dobby just wanted to... wanted to repay sir for his help--"

Dobby said in a shrill voice, and paused, as if instinctively looking around for something to punish himself with.

"Ours is an employer-employee relationship, not a wizard-house-elf relationship," Cohen reminded. "Don't hit yourself on the head with my umbrella—not even my dad's shoes."

"Yes, sir... Dobby is still a little uncomfortable..." Dobby loosened the umbrella handle in his left hand and a stiff shoe in his right hand, but they soon returned to normal. "But Dobby is very happy! Sir, Dobby has been looking for a long, long time... Other wizard families are unwilling to accept Dobby - because Dobby wants to be a free house-elf!"

"Then Dobby found your home, sir!" Dobby said happily. "Dobby can get a salary! He can also get vacation and clothes!"

"It's nice to come to my house." Cohen had no objection to Dobby working in his own house. He could also be a little wary of the Silver Key members who might cause trouble at any time. "Relieve Edward's burden, but try to stay indoors in the future to avoid being seen by Muggles—"

"Boom boom boom!"

There was a knock at the door.

"Look, the Muggles are here..." Cohen said with a headache, "Who is it?"

"I'm your father." The person outside the door said calmly.
-
"Ha, I almost forgot you outside." Cohen let Edward in and explained to Edward who looked helpless.

"You just want revenge, right?" Edward saw through Cohen's poor acting in front of his family. "Are you still angry?" "How can I be so vindictive? I won't hold a grudge against you until I'm thirteen just because you forgot me in the zoo for three hours when I was nine," Cohen said.

After throwing the box to Dobby and asking him to take it to his room, Cohen lay down on the sofa.

"You remember everything from four years ago so clearly, and you still say you don't hold a grudge?" Edward also lay down next to him, looking at Cohen with a look that seemed to clearly say, "You're clearly holding a grudge." "I just said that I didn't make a new copy for you..."

"I don't care about presents," Cohen said suddenly. "It wouldn't matter if all I got for Christmas was a toothpick."

"Hmm?" Edward put his arm around Cohen's shoulders.

"But don't scare me with fake accidents next time," Cohen emphasized again.

"Are you that scared..." Edward said solemnly, "I promise I won't joke about this anymore."

"That's good."

Cohen breathed a sigh of relief and said,
"You haven't accumulated enough inheritance yet. It would be a shame if you died suddenly..."

"You kid—" Edward laughed and tapped Cohen's head with his knuckles.

After arriving home, Cohen took a shower and went downstairs just in time to see Rose picking up Martha for Christmas.

"Meow meow meow!"

Downstairs, two kittens who looked less than a year old were meowing one after another. Mr. Frondo was taking them under the Christmas tree - there was a cat bed there that was big enough for several cats to sleep soundly.

"Cohen..." Grandma Martha rushed over happily and hugged him tightly after seeing Cohen on the stairs. "Why do you still look skinny? Did he not eat enough at Hogwarts? Or is the school food not to your liking? I have to write to Headmaster Dumbledore and ask him to add some of Cohen's favorite foods to the school menu -"

"Forget it then." Cohen muttered in Martha's arms, "The food at school is quite to my liking. I'm just not used to eating too much..."

It was normal for a normal parent to write to Hogwarts asking for more food, but Cohen...

Isn't that what the Dementors like to eat all over the Great Hall?

"Just leave these cats to Mr. Frondo." Martha finally let go of Cohen and turned to Rose and said, "Mr. Frondo always manages to control those curious and mischievous kittens. Rose, you should take a break and enjoy your vacation. And Ed, put aside the housework. I'm going to cook you a wonderful dinner tonight. Guess what dish I learned from Mrs. Russell in town a few days ago..."

"How about letting Dobby help you?" Edward couldn't discourage Martha's enthusiasm, so he had to let Dobby watch her to prevent her from ruining dinner.

"Dobby?" Martha asked doubtfully.

"It's Dobby! Mistress!" Dobby appeared in front of Martha with a bang and bowed deeply to her. "Mr. Norton hired Dobby. Dobby can cook and wash clothes!"

"Then Edward is useless, isn't he?" Martha said worriedly, and made almost the same assessment as Cohen.

"Mom..." Edward said with a frown on his face, "Give me some face..."

"Hahahahahahaha..." Rose covered her face and laughed.
