Chapter 113 Cohen is about to arrive at the secret room
Chapter 113 Cohen is about to arrive at the secret room
"It could have been some other magical scaly creature," Cohen said. "But it didn't bite me. Maybe it was just someone else's secret pet that got lost."
Harry looked at Cohen with some confusion, but didn't say much.
Some things can be discussed together during the day.
The farce lasted for half an hour, and everyone fell asleep again after closing the door - it was all thanks to Cohen casting a locking spell, otherwise they might not have been able to sleep.
No one wants to have such a guy in their bed.
After reuniting with Hermione the next day, Harry persuaded them to discuss what happened in the early morning.
"We should tell Professor McGonagall," Hermione said worriedly. "And did you hear it?"
"Yes, it seemed to say 'here' and woke me and Cohen up," said Harry. "Can it talk like the Count?"
"There's also the phrase 'Come find me in the secret room,' but it's completely different from the Count. The Count wouldn't dare get into my bed," Cohen said viciously. "And the Count doesn't have scales."
"Maybe Norbert," Ron quipped.
"This isn't fun, this is dangerous!" Hermione said worriedly. "If it's the same creature that attacked Filch and Mrs. Norris, maybe Coin will be next!"
"But it didn't bite Coin at all?" Harry asked puzzledly. "If it really wanted to attack Coin, it could have just attacked him while he was asleep. But it just asked us to go to the Chamber of Secrets to find it - could there be some secret..."
"But it fails to take into account a key issue."
Ron said,
"We have no idea what the secret room is, where it is, or how to get there. If it really wanted to see you, wouldn't it just pick a bathroom or something like that?"
Ron is indeed a genius, the Chamber of Secrets is really in the bathroom.
However, Cohen felt that what the basilisk said was purely directed at himself and probably had nothing to do with Harry. After all, Harry was not the artificial man in the laboratory.
"But Ron didn't hear the voices, did he?" Hermione asked suddenly. "Only Coin and Harry heard them?"
"I didn't hear anything." Ron shook his head.
"It's like this again..." Hermione frowned, "Hearing voices that others can't hear - at a time like this..."
"What's going to happen?" Harry asked.
"If we're the only ones who can communicate with it, and it's the monster in the Chamber of Secrets," Cohen continued, "guess who everyone else will think opened the Chamber of Secrets?"
-
In order to avoid trouble, they finally did not tell the professors that Harry and Cohen had heard the strange noise.
As we all know, Hogwarts is the place where secrets are hard to keep, so even if the professors did not reveal anything, the news that Filch was in trouble spread like wildfire in the school.
Compared to Filch's accident, everyone was more concerned about the writing on the wall they had seen before - originally everyone thought it was just a cool joke, but now that humans were attacked, the Chamber of Secrets became everyone's biggest concern.
The mystery of the Chamber of Secrets was solved in the History of Magic class the following week.
Hermione asked Professor Binns this question because she couldn't find any information about the Chamber of Secrets in "Hogwarts: A History".
"My course is History of Magic," Professor Binns said in his breathy voice, floating behind the podium. "I study facts, Miss Granger, not myths and legends."
He didn't really want to talk about this in class.
"Let's continue with the topic we were discussing. In October of that year, a special group of Sardinian wizards—"
But Hermione raised her hand again.
"I'd like to ask, sir, legends are all based on some facts, aren't they?"
Normally, the atmosphere in this classroom is dead and sleepy.
But now almost everyone was staring intently at Professor Binns, which made it difficult for this ghost professor who had not communicated with students for many years.
"Okay... okay..." Professor Binns sighed.
"Let me think... the secret room..."
He told the legend of the Chamber of Secrets, about Slytherin and his secret room, and the monster inside that could purify the school.
The students listened more attentively than the course content - or rather, this is what a proper class should be like.
"Let me tell you, that thing doesn't exist at all," Professor Binns corrected at the end. "There is no secret room, and there is no monster."
The students did not believe Professor Binns' last few words.
After class, Cohen and his three classmates walked together to the auditorium to have lunch.
"I knew Salazar Slytherin was a perverted old lunatic," Ron said angrily, "but I didn't know that the pure-blood theory was invented by this guy. If the Sorting Hat had sorted me into Slytherin, I would have gone home without saying a word..."
Hermione looked unhappy.
"If we follow Slytherin's point of view, will the monster in the Chamber of Secrets also attack me?"
"We won't let it hurt you, Hermione," Harry said soothingly, but his face wasn't looking right either.
Harry glanced furtively at Cohen.
Harry remembered that the Sorting Hat originally wanted to put him in Slytherin - Cohen said that he thought so too. Could this be related to the fact that "only the two of them could hear Slytherin's monster speak"?
But Cohen was looking down, minding his own business.
Do you want to try to open the door of the secret room again?
Since the basilisk that was related to him had already sent an invitation, and Harry and the others had already learned about the relevant information about the Chamber of Secrets - even if something unexpected happened to him in the Chamber of Secrets, it shouldn't be a big problem.
And since I have basilisk blood... there's a high probability that I won't be hurt by a basilisk's stare, right?
Otherwise, wouldn't the basilisk kill itself if it saw the water or the mirror?

2. Save a basilisk's life
[Reward: 1000 Sin Points, 1 Flesh Puppet]
?
Rescue a basilisk?
One...
Cohen raised his eyebrows.
He clearly felt that there were two of them. Although the strength of their souls was exactly the same, it was obvious that one was the old basilisk in the secret room, and the other was a young basilisk from the same laboratory as Cohen.
All I have to do is save one, which doesn’t seem that difficult.
As for the flesh puppet in the reward... it sounds like some kind of deformed flesh and blood robot, perfect for putting in boxes to do odd jobs and to scare people.
It's better than last year's staff that felt cold when hitting people. Besides being very cool when hugged while sleeping in the summer, Cohen hasn't found any use for it yet.
The goal was set, and this time Cohen was determined to go to the Chamber of Secrets to take a look - but he would not bring Harry with him this time, as Harry would be of little help and could easily be accidentally injured by the basilisk. Dumbledore might then cause trouble for Cohen.
