Chapter 30 No One Needs to Worry

The ship's lock gates roared open.

Karna walked out under the gaze of countless scarlet eyes, and then closed the gate with his backhand.

It was not until the gate was completely closed and he carefully checked the internal surveillance that he breathed a sigh of relief.

'Is this the pressure others face when facing Black Fury?'

"Brother Karna, what are you doing?"

Kahurangi's voice came from the side. He had completed the daily harassment of Ramses. Now it was time to go to Arthur to fight with him and then settle the daily task rewards.

I just heard on the way that Death Watch had borrowed a closed cabin as an independent space, so I decided to come and take a look.

"It's like gray blindness that occurs between you."

Karna pointed to his head.

"Same for us."

There is no shyness.

"Oh."

Kahurangi understood instantly.

There is definitely a Blood Angel among this group of people.

You should know that their internal records of each founding group are very detailed, so detailed that their various characteristics during the Great Crusade are clearly recorded. They may know the history of that era better than some groups that have experienced major changes.

Of course, these 'Death Watch' on the opposite side are not simple either.

They are extremely clear about the origins of the Man-Eating Sharks and their genetic defects, but as a war group active in the empire's territory, they have only a vague understanding of the current empire and do not even have a complete star map.

Not only was he able to pull out a bunch of chain axes, which are now considered exclusive to Chaos traitors, but after carefully learning about the current empire through the sharks' information database, his shocked expressions, with an expression of "How the hell did humans become like this?", made the sharks even more puzzled.

"Then I'll go to the arena first."

After understanding the other party's reasons for applying to use the warehouse, Kahurangi no longer worried about it.

After all, for today's sharks, daily rewards are more important.

"Well, I'll go check out the other warehouses."

Karna nodded, and both sides tacitly agreed not to continue discussing this topic.

He also knew why Kahurangi had left in such a hurry.

Since boarding the sharks' flagship, Ramses could no longer do his warp work. Arthur, who was freed and had nothing to do, naturally went to fight with the sharks with the idea of learning from them.

And to study, of course you have to pay tuition.

Karna glanced at the warehouse data displayed on his arm, which was still far behind after yesterday's replenishment.

The voyage was only over a month long, and he felt he had to take time out every day to restock his stock.

"Count the time."

Karna lowered his head and switched to the memo sheet, preparing to pack up his information for today and hand it to Romulus later, but found that they had all left the subspace.

"It's almost time to reach our destination."

"The Sharks are here to pay the Gray Tax. We heard there's a Martian Mechanicus prospector fleet over there, and they originally planned to rush over to replenish strategic supplies."

In an area designated for the Death Watch, Romulus, who had completed a joint exercise with the Astra Militarum, tore open the isolation door.

Right in front of him, Ramses, who had just dealt with Kahurangi and still had no idea what this think tank was trying to do, was burning incense in front of an ashtray.

I have been on other people's ships recently and dare not do anything else. At most, I can make money by making a nest in the subspace, so I can only focus on a few projects that I can do.

So, after a voyage lasting over a month, Ramses successfully pulled an external line from the Warp connection between Karna and the Black Rage. Now, Karna could use this shared line to drive the angel's offspring's physical body and indiscriminately attack Horus within his sight.

The fewer people occupying the line, the higher the degree of black rage, and the stronger the burst of combat power. Continuous investment is needed to expand the upper limit.

This directly results in the small group having to pay a much higher percentage of expenditure each time they harvest.

"They're probably not interested in this matter now, are they?"

Ramses bowed three times to the stove and muttered a few words in classical Chinese before speaking.

"Of course. After all, their weather-beaten equipment now looks brand new."

Romulus found it a little funny to think of the sharks pointing at the stormbirds sent to them and asking if they could exchange them for ammunition and other military supplies of equal weight.

There is no reason to take back what has been given away. Finally, Arthur stepped forward and gave them a way to earn supplies.

You can't give too many explosive bombs, because it would be a loss if you exchange too many, but there are plenty of power weapons, incendiary weapons, precision parts and so on.

"These guys seem to have accepted that they can get equipment by fighting Arthur every day, and Arthur is happy to learn from them. These are skills that have been passed down through thousands of years of fighting in mountains of corpses and seas of blood."

Romulus couldn't help but complain about the man-eating shark's utilitarianism. When he heard that it was profitable, he was as excited as if he had been injected with chicken blood.

Unfortunately, as time goes by, the sharks can teach less and less. Currently, only a few captains, the think tank and Tiberus have not been drained. For the future of the regiment, the captains may not have had a good rest.

If the cost of awakening Fearless wasn't too high, he felt that this group of people could pull Fearless out to be a coach.

"It seems our stretchers are rapidly evolving again. I was saying that besides our soul materialization abilities, we must each have unique characteristics. After all, the initial paint job on our bodies when we landed wasn't just random."

Ramses joked, pulling out three more incense sticks and bowing to the stove.

Then he began to mutter those classical Chinese texts commemorating the experimental materials.

"You still care about this?"

After understanding the meaning of the classical Chinese, Romulus asked curiously.

After seeing the miserable conditions in the experimental site for so long, he felt from the bottom of his heart that Ramses was a man with a big heart. At the same time, he thought it was outrageous that Arthur could watch for such a long time without any expression.

"You're not in the field, you don't understand."

Raising his head, Ramses' face became serious.

“I have to maintain my respect for life in this way.”

"Although I gave up after graduation, my teacher always taught us that no matter what is on the test bench, even if it is just a piece of dead body fragments, we should handle it with awe."

"This is a line that medical researchers must adhere to. You must understand that the only difference between these bodies and normal humans is consciousness. Even the slightest transgression will be the difference between an angel and a demon."

".Looks like I don't have to worry about you anymore."

Romulus was silent for a moment, then smiled.

He has always been a little worried about Ramses' attitude of "I don't care about your affairs, I will develop you vigorously if I have the ability."

But now that he felt the other person's mental state, Romulus knew that he was overthinking it.

"You're kidding, bro. After all, I was raised in a healthy family with both parents. You don't think all the young masters from wealthy families are self-centered playboys, do you?"

Ramses replied boastfully.

"You have to trust your good brother and don't act like a nagging mother. Of course, I have no objection to more communication. After all, in this world, only those who truly understand each other—"

He restrained his flamboyant expression a little.

"There are only four of us."
