Tokyo: Who would still fall in love after being spoiled?

"Very impressive." Suzuka nodded frankly, then turned to look at Tamura, hesitantly, and lowered her voice, "Tamura-san?"
"You're the club leader, so it's up to you to decide." Tamura paused, then continued, "If it's my personal opinion, for the sake of the competition, I hope Inoue-san can join the trumpet section."
"I understand." Suzuka smiled faintly and looked at him again. "I will report your case to Advisor Nishimoto first, but whether I can get the Advisor's approval depends on your own performance in the ensemble."
"I understand." He nodded.
"By the way, I'll help you copy the trumpet sheet music of 'Tomorrow's Spring'. Before that..."
"You can look at mine first." Tamura responded to Suzuka's words and gave up his seat.
"Thank you."
After Suzuka left for the time being, Asukai came in from outside.
"Inoue-san passed," Tamura said.
"I heard it outside the classroom a long time ago." Asukai was still reluctant. "I can't say that now. I still need Advisor Nishimoto's approval."
"Having said that, I think it's no problem for Inoue-san."
"You guy..." Asukai turned and pointed the finger at him, "You've been learning since you were a kid, right? You even bought your own trumpet, the Paul Moria PMT-71, right?"
"How do you know?" He didn't deny it at all.
"I play the trumpet too. Isn't it normal for me to know about these things?"
"I almost forgot." He suddenly realized.
"You really are..." Asukai was so angry that he couldn't speak.
The music score that Tamura placed on the music stand was still on the page of the second paragraph of "Tomorrow Spring".
The girl sat down in front of the music score. He stood behind her and looked at it again, trying to recall if he had missed anything in the music score he had just memorized.
Once you've confirmed this, step back, point the trumpet in another direction, and practice the passage.
This was his first time learning a skill from the system. In terms of memorizing music alone, playing the trumpet at level 4 was about the same as learning a painting he'd spent his entire life on.
Just like he observed a tired middle-aged man on the tram, wearing a suit, eating toast that didn't smell that bad, reading today's newspaper, and seeing in the newspaper which role-playing worker was elected as a government councilor in which district... As long as he carefully remembered every detail, he could draw it all the next day. Not to say it would be perfectly accurate, but at least 90% similar.
Now he feels similar when memorizing music scores - as long as he remembers it carefully, he will never forget when to blow, how hard to blow, and how long to hold each note.
Of course, this is related to his better-than-average memory, but memorizing music scores, portraits, or landscapes is not just about reading or taking photos. Once you get to the stage of playing or painting, it becomes a credit to the corresponding skills.
After playing it a few times, he felt that it was almost right, so he stopped for a while and listened to Tamura and Asukai practice.
The melody played by Tamura was quite proficient for a high school student, with basically no dissonance; Asukai was much more unfamiliar with it, but the melody he played was not the second one.
After he stopped, Asuka-i blew it again and also stopped, chirping softly at Tamura.
“This guy is so arrogant,” she said.
Tamura was practicing fingering on the trumpet, then taking notes on the music score with colored pens, listening to her quietly.
"Relying on his good playing skills, he pretended to practice a few times and then just watched the show from the side." Asuai said bad things about him in front of him.
He thought of Saotome and compared them in his mind.
There are still many differences between the two. Putting everything else aside, at least Asukai can play the trumpet.
Such a large wind orchestra had only two trumpet players during the Tokyo Metropolitan Competition. If any one of them lagged behind, it could be heard clearly in the concert hall.
Saotome really knows almost nothing about painting. I have no idea what she is doing in the art club every day. She wastes her time like this even in the third grade.
"Inoue-san is waiting for me." Tamura said suddenly after taking notes.
"Wait for you?" Asukai was completely dissatisfied with this answer.
He was also confused.
"There's nothing to focus on in the second section anymore. He's just waiting for me to turn the page," Tamura defended him, even though he was completely wrong. He was just lazing around, waiting for Suzuka to bring him the printed trumpet sheet music before continuing to practice.
"How can it be that fast..." Asukai himself was unsure. "A professional trumpet player wouldn't be so careless, right? He wouldn't practice after playing it a few times. Can he really play in public?"
"Maybe." Tamura, unlike Asuka, responded casually and turned to look at him, "Inoue-san."
"what's up?"
"Could you play the second section again? Especially the fourth measure."
When these words were spoken, nothing else could be seen in Tamura's beautiful, crystal-clear eyes. There were no awkward emotions about interpersonal relationships, no inferiority or hesitation.
She was just learning a technique to play better than she could, not anything else.
It didn't matter who played the trumpet, whether it was a professional trumpet player, Inoue who was the same age as her, or even a junior high school student who was younger than her.
Those eyes were surprisingly clear. He was so absorbed in looking at them that he couldn't figure out how to draw them.
This kind of cleanliness is something he cannot paint; it comes from the same world as Amano's piano music.
There may be a door to that world, but that door is always closed to him.
"Inoue-kun?" Tamura called him.
He interrupted his thoughts and played the trumpet.
Tamura remained quiet, listening to him play, staring at his fingers dancing on the trumpet keys, and listening to the last ending note completely.
"Thank you," she said softly.
Then he wrote something down on the music score and turned to the third paragraph.
He picked up the trumpet, stopped looking at the music, and played the second melody.
He also began to remember the music for the third section, which was exactly the section Asuka had just practiced.
A few minutes later, Suzuka came back and brought him a stack of sheet music, telling him that Advisor Nishimoto had directly agreed and that he just needed to participate in practice and ensemble as normal.
"You agreed directly?" Asukai was surprised. "You didn't say anything?"
"Well, this time it was very refreshing," Suzuka said.
"Oh, if only they could be so straightforward with song selection," Asukai lamented. "Even if I can practice well now, I'll still be worried about the Kanto competition because I know the score has flaws."
Suzuka didn't respond.
Tamura is looking at the music score.
There was a brief silence in the classroom.
"Is it a problem with the song selection? A flaw?" He asked, pretending to be ignorant.
"…Asumi Haru was a song that Mr. Amano wrote using a section of a melody his daughter wrote in junior high school as the main theme." Suzuka hesitated for a moment, then told him, "The section his daughter wrote was retained intact. That's what they call the 'flaws.'"
"Actually, when I first listened to it, I couldn't even tell which part was written by his daughter." Asukai sat back in his chair and chatted, "How can you say there are any flaws..."
"You can hear it if you listen carefully." Although Tamura's eyes were on the music score, he was listening to them and adding to their conversation.
"Then let Miss Amano change it! She even transferred to our small school, Kitayuki High School." Asukai said indifferently.
It seems that Asukai was one of the minority of reformists.
But her voice, resounding in the classroom, did not arouse any response from anyone.
Tamura was still looking at the music score.
Suzuka frowned, a somewhat forced smile on her face.
