Chapter 444 Make sure there are no mistakes!
“Over there in the world,” Borsalino said deliberately vaguely. “Traveling around doing business, without a fixed place.”

As the two were talking, a commotion suddenly broke out in the banquet hall. A voice shouted:
"Wait a minute! I feel like I've seen that kid in the straw hat somewhere before!"

Everyone turned to look at the source of the voice. The speaker was a middle-aged man dressed in an elegant suit, who was pointing at Luffy, who was eating heartily.

"Straw hat. Wait!" The man's eyes suddenly widened. "You're Monkey D. Luffy! The great pirate with a bounty of 5 million Berries!"

Upon hearing this, the entire banquet hall fell silent instantly. Everyone stared at Luffy in shock, a tense atmosphere filling the air.

"Pirates?!" Vice Admiral Bronson immediately became alert, his hand unconsciously moving towards the weapon at his waist.

"No! It's not just him!" another voice rang out. "That green-haired guy is Roronoa Zoro! His bounty is 320 million Berries!"

"That blond guy is Black Leg Sanji! His bounty is 330 million Berries!"

"That female navigator is Nami the Cat Thief! Her bounty is 360 million Berries!"

As each member's identity was revealed, the atmosphere at the banquet grew increasingly tense. Guests retreated, watching the Straw Hat Pirates with fear.

"The Straw Hat Pirates!" Vice Admiral Bronson exclaimed in shock. "What are you doing here?!"

Thomas and Irene were also taken aback by this sudden turn of events. They never expected that their saviors would be a powerful pirate crew with a total bounty exceeding 30 billion Berries!

"Pirates?!" Thomas asked, his voice trembling. "You guys are really pirates?"

Luffy stopped eating, scratching his head somewhat sheepishly. "Yeah, I guess I am a pirate."

“But we’re not bad people!” Chopper quickly explained. “We never hurt innocent people!”

“Yes! We’re just taking a risk!” Nami quickly added.

However, the guests present clearly could not understand this explanation. In their minds, pirates were synonymous with danger and evil.

"Everyone, retreat!" Vice Admiral Bronson shouted. "Contact Marine Headquarters immediately! The Straw Hat Pirates have appeared at Crystal Harbor!"

“Wait!” Alex suddenly stepped forward. “Whoever they are, they saved my child!”

"Boss, you can't be fooled by them!" a merchant advised. "Pirates are all dangerous!"

“But they did save Thomas and Irene!” Isabella chimed in, standing by her husband. “That’s a fact!”

The atmosphere at the scene grew increasingly chaotic. Some supported the Valentine family, some demanded the immediate arrest of the pirates, and others were terrified and wanted to flee the scene.

Borsalino, observing the situation, knew he had to make a decision quickly. Staying would only cause trouble for the Valentine family and could also expose his identity.

“Everyone, calm down.” He slowly stepped forward. “Now that our identities have been exposed, we shouldn’t continue to cause trouble for the Valentine family.”

"Borsalino," Luffy looked at him with some reluctance.

“This is the right choice.” Robin agreed with Borsalino’s assessment. “We should leave.”

“I’m sorry, Thomas, Irene,” Nami said apologetically. “We didn’t mean to hide our identities.”

“It’s alright!” Thomas said firmly. “No matter who you are, you are our saviors!”

“Yes!” Eileen said, tears welling in her eyes. “You will always be our friends!”

"Thank you for your understanding," Sanji said, moved. "But we really should go now."

Seeing the situation was dire, Lieutenant General Bronson immediately ordered, "Surround them! Don't let the pirates escape!"

However, the Straw Hat Pirates had no intention of lingering in battle. They quickly regrouped and prepared to retreat.

“Everyone, stay close to me!” Borsalino shouted. “I’ll lead the way!”

"Yata no Kagami - Retreat at Light Speed!"

Borsalino transformed into a beam of light, instantly carrying all his companions out of the banquet hall. He was so fast that the Marines had no time to react.

A few seconds later, the Straw Hat Pirates disappeared into the night, leaving behind only shocked guests and an enraged Vice Admiral Brunson.

"Damn it! They got away!" Lieutenant General Bronson roared. "Seal off the port immediately! Search the entire city!"

Meanwhile, in a secluded corner of Crystal Harbor, the Straw Hat Pirates were discussing their next move.

"Honestly, we were having so much fun." Nami sighed helplessly. "Why do we always have to expose our identities?"

"There's nothing we can do about it," Luffy said nonchalantly. "We're pirates, after all."

"What do we do now?" Chopper asked anxiously. "Will we ever see Thomas and the others again?"

“Not for now,” Borsalino shook his head. “Our presence has already caused them trouble.”

“That’s right.” Robin agreed. “The most important thing now is to get out of Crystal Harbor as soon as possible.”

“But the Thousand Sunny is still in port,” Franky cautioned. “It’s definitely surrounded by the navy.”

“Then how do we get the ship back?” Usopp asked anxiously.

Borsalino thought for a moment, then said, "It seems we need to devise a detailed evacuation plan."

The following morning, sunlight streamed through the windows of the abandoned warehouse, illuminating the faces of the Straw Hat Pirates. After a night of discussion, they decided to first check on the Thousand Sunny at the port before devising a concrete evacuation plan.

"How did you sleep?" Borsalino stretched leisurely and looked at his other companions who were still dozing off.

"This place is too hard," Nami complained, rubbing her aching shoulders. "A luxury bed is definitely more comfortable."

"Forget about that." Zoro stood up and stretched. "The most important thing now is to get the ship back and get out of here."

"That's right!" Luffy jumped up excitedly. "The Sunny must be waiting for us!"

“But the port is definitely under close surveillance by the navy,” Robin analyzed calmly. “We must proceed with caution.”

"Should we split up?" Sanji suggested. "That way we're less likely to be spotted."

“No.” Borsalino shook his head. “Splitting up is too risky; if we run into trouble, mutual support will be difficult.”

“Then let’s go scout together.” Nami took out her binoculars. “Let’s observe the situation from a distance first.”

After a quick wash and tidying up, the Straw Hat Pirates carefully left the abandoned warehouse where they were temporarily hiding. They changed back into ordinary clothes, trying their best to look like ordinary citizens.

The morning in Crystal Harbor was still beautiful, with the morning light shining on the crystal buildings and refracting into a dazzling display. But the atmosphere on the streets was noticeably more tense than the day before, with naval soldiers patrolling everywhere.

"The security is really tight," Chopper muttered. "It feels like someone's watching every corner."

“Indeed.” Franky observed their surroundings. “It seems last night’s events had a significant impact.” They slowly made their way towards the port along the alley, avoiding main roads and crowded areas. Borsalino walked in front, using his Observation Haki to sense their surroundings.

“There’s a checkpoint ahead,” he whispered. “Three navy men are checking the identities of passersby.”

"Then let's take a detour," Nami suggested.

“Wait a minute.” Robin suddenly noticed something. “There’s a bulletin board over there, and it looks like there are new wanted posters.”

They observed from a distance and discovered that the bulletin board was indeed covered with wanted posters for the Straw Hat Pirates members. Moreover, the bounties had all increased, with Luffy's bounty even reaching 6 million Berries.

"Wow! My bounty has gone up again!" Luffy exclaimed excitedly.

"This isn't the time to be happy!" Nami angrily smacked him. "The higher the bounty, the tighter the hunt!"

“And look at the equipment those naval personnel have,” Brooke observed carefully. “They’re all equipped with specialized capture tools.”

Indeed, the patrolling navy was not only well-armed, but also carried seastone handcuffs and specially made nets. Clearly, this was specifically designed to deal with ability users.

“It seems the Navy is serious this time,” Sanji said, frowning.

“Lieutenant General Brunson must have requested reinforcements from headquarters,” Borsalino analyzed. “Crystal Harbor has now become a prison.”

They continued cautiously forward and finally reached a high vantage point offering a view of the port. Through their binoculars, they observed the Thousand Sunny.

"The Sunny is still here!" Luffy exclaimed excitedly.

"But it's completely surrounded." Nami took the binoculars and observed. "There are at least five warships patrolling the area."

"And there are many navy personnel searching the ship." Zoro's expression was grave. "They're looking for something."

“They’re probably looking for clues we left behind,” Robin speculated. “Or maybe they’ve installed listening devices on the ship.”

"Damn it!" Franky exclaimed angrily. "Don't let them mess with my ship!"

“Calm down, Franky,” Borsalino reassured him. “Charging in now will only lead to your death.”

As they were observing the port, they suddenly heard footsteps behind them. A large number of soldiers were closing in from all sides.

"Oh no! We've been found out!" Nami said nervously.

"Surround them! Don't let anyone escape!" an officer shouted.

In an instant, at least one hundred fully armed soldiers surrounded them. These soldiers were not only well-equipped but also highly trained, clearly an elite force.

"The Straw Hat Pirates!" The leading officer was a middle-aged man; his epaulets indicated he was a colonel. "You're surrounded! Surrender immediately!"

“It’s a trap.” Zoro’s hand was already on the hilt of his sword. “They knew we’d come here.”

"Looks like someone tipped us off." Sanji's tone was filled with anger.

“Now is not the time to dwell on that.” Borsalino calmly surveyed the surrounding situation. “We are completely surrounded.”

Indeed, from this vantage point, the entire hill was under naval control. Several newsbirds were circling overhead, clearly broadcasting live.

"Luffy, what do we do?" Chopper asked fearfully, clutching Luffy's clothes.

Luffy looked at the densely packed soldiers around him, then at the Thousand Sunny in the distant port, and fell into deep thought.

“Surrender,” he suddenly said.

"What?!" Everyone stared at him in shock.

"Luffy, what are you saying?" Zoro couldn't believe his ears.

“If we retaliate now, many people will definitely get hurt,” Luffy said seriously. “These soldiers are just following orders; they’re not bad guys.”

“But what if we get caught?” Nami said worriedly.

"It's okay!" Luffy grinned. "We'll figure out how to escape! Right, everyone?"

The Straw Hat Pirates exchanged glances. Although somewhat unwilling, they all understood Luffy's thoughts. They would never harm innocent people, not even the opposing Marines.

"Really," Nami sighed helplessly. "You're always like this, Captain."

“But that’s definitely Luffy’s style,” Sanji nodded. “I support your decision.”

“Me too.” Zoro withdrew his hand. “Anyway, it’s not like it’s my first time in jail.”

Borsalino looked at his companions, a warm feeling welling up inside him. As a Marine Admiral, he had seen far too many pirates who would stop at nothing for profit, but the Straw Hat Pirates always managed to surprise him.

“Since everyone agrees, let’s surrender.” He slowly raised his hands.

"Are you really surrendering?" The colonel asked, somewhat incredulous. "You're a pirate crew with a total bounty exceeding 30 billion!"

“We don’t want to hurt innocent people,” Luffy said calmly. “So we choose to surrender.”

“But if you dare to mistreat us…” A dangerous glint flashed in Zoro’s eyes. “Then that’s a different story.”

The colonel was momentarily intimidated by Zoro's gaze, but quickly regained his composure: "Don't worry, we'll handle it according to regulations."

"Put seastone handcuffs on them!" the colonel ordered. "Especially those with special abilities!"

The soldiers cautiously approached and put specially made handcuffs on the Straw Hat Pirates. The moment the seastone handcuffs were put on, Luffy, Chopper, Robin, and Borsalino all felt their abilities disappear.

"It hurts so much," Luffy said weakly. "It feels like my body doesn't even belong to me anymore."

“Just be patient,” Borsalino comforted him. “It’s only temporary.”

"Escort them back to base!" the colonel ordered. "Keep a close watch on them, and don't let anything go wrong!"

And so, the Straw Hat Pirates were escorted down the mountain by a large group of people. More and more citizens gathered along the way to watch, and everyone was talking about it.

"It really is the Straw Hat Pirates!"

"He looks younger than I expected."

Why did they surrender?

"It might be a trap."

The Straw Hat Pirates remained silent in the face of these discussions. What they needed to do now was observe their surroundings and prepare for their future escape.
