Chapter 441 A Little Trick

“Finally back,” Marcus muttered to himself. “Damn it, he almost caught me.”

He walked toward the bed, intending to examine the jewelry hidden in the secret compartment. But when he discovered that the compartment had been opened, his face turned deathly pale.

"Impossible!" he cried in horror. "Where are the jewels?"

“It’s with me.” Borsalino emerged from behind the door, carrying a jewelry box.

Marcus was stunned when he saw Borsalino. He had never expected the other to be waiting for him there.

"How...how did you find this place?" he asked, trembling.

“Through the clues you left behind,” Borsalino said, taking out the notes. “These records expose your true objective.”

Marcus saw the notes and a look of despair crossed his face. He knew he had been utterly defeated.

“Now, do you still want to say that the jewelry has been sold?” Borsalino asked.

"I..." Marcus opened his mouth, but couldn't say a word.

“Surrender,” Borsalino said calmly. “This time, you truly have nowhere to run.”

In this cramped room, high up in the building, Marcus truly had no chance of escape. More importantly, the jewels had been found, and his last resort was gone.

“I surrender,” Marcus finally gave up resistance and slumped onto the bed.

“A wise choice.” Borsalino breathed a sigh of relief. “It’s better for everyone.”

Soon, the kingdom's guards arrived at the scene. With Borsalino's help, Marcus was formally arrested, and the jewels were recovered intact.

"That's wonderful!" the captain of the guard exclaimed excitedly. "You really succeeded!"

“That’s to be expected,” Borsalino said modestly. “It was just good luck.”

Inside the Kingdom's government building, Borsalino completed the final formalities of the mission. For successfully apprehending the criminals and recovering the stolen goods intact, he received the full reward of 75 Berries.

“This is what you deserve.” The receptionist handed him a bag full of coins. “We are very impressed with your professionalism.”

“Thank you.” Borsalino took the bag. “I’m glad to have rid the kingdom of a dangerous element.”

That afternoon, Borsalino returned to the restaurant with the 75 Berry prize money. The Straw Hat Pirates were all waiting for news from him.

"It's a success!" he announced as he entered. "Marcus has been caught, and the jewelry has been recovered!"

"Great!" Everyone cheered excitedly.

"As expected of Borsalino!" Luffy exclaimed happily. "You're amazing!"

“Now our financial problems are completely solved.” Nami looked at the bag of coins, her eyes gleaming with gold.

"And we still have extra funds to have some fun in the kingdom." Sanji was also very happy.

“Most importantly, it helped the kingdom get rid of a dangerous criminal,” Chopper said earnestly. “That’s a good thing!”

That evening, to celebrate the success, the restaurant owner prepared a sumptuous dinner. The entire restaurant was filled with a joyful atmosphere.

"Borusalino, how did you find the location of the jewels?" Robin asked curiously.

“By analyzing his behavior patterns,” Borsalino explained in detail the reasoning process. “Every criminal has their own behavioral habits; with careful observation, you can always find clues.”

“I’ve learned something!” Franky said admiringly. “Your analytical skills are truly amazing!”

"That's the difference between a professional and an amateur," Zoro agreed.

Sunlight streamed through the restaurant window, illuminating the table where Nami was carefully counting the money she had earned over the past few days. Several money pouches filled with various denominations of Berries lay before her, along with a small notebook detailing her income and expenses.

“Let me calculate,” Nami muttered to herself as she counted the money. “The bounty on Borsalino is 75 Berries, we earned 5 Berries working at the restaurant, plus the remaining 20 Berries.”

Everyone else gathered around her, watching the financial expert work with curiosity.

"A total of 100 million Berries!" Nami announced excitedly. "We're rich!"

"Wow! So much money!" Luffy's eyes lit up as he looked at the money pouches. "We can buy lots and lots of meat!"

"Luffy, stop thinking about food all the time!" Nami immediately stopped his daydreaming. "This money needs to be allocated and used wisely!"

She took out a piece of paper and began to draw up a detailed financial plan.

“First, we need to keep 50 Berries as an emergency reserve,” Nami wrote carefully. “This cannot be used.”

"Why keep so many?" Usopp asked, puzzled.

“Because we're sailing on the high seas, we could encounter emergencies at any time,” Nami explained. “For example, ship repairs, medical expenses, or other unexpected costs.”

“Nami is right,” Robin agreed. “Sufficient financial reserves are very important.”

“Then, the remaining 50 Berries can be used for daily expenses and entertainment,” Nami continued. “According to my calculations, that’s enough for us to play in the next city for a week.”

"Great!" Franky exclaimed excitedly. "We can go to so many places!"

“However,” Nami changed the subject, “to avoid another financial crisis, I will implement a strict budget management system!”

She stood up and announced in a serious tone, "From now on, I will manage all the money! There will be a daily spending limit for everyone!"

"What? Consumption restrictions?" Luffy protested, disgruntled. "Does that mean I can't eat as much as I want?"

"Of course not!" Nami said firmly. "You spent 55 Berries on one meal last time, almost bankrupting us!"

"But I have a big appetite," Luffy said, feeling wronged.

"Even with a big appetite, you need to be moderate!" Nami pulled out a calculator and started doing the calculations. "According to normal standards, each person's daily food expenses should not exceed 5000 Berries!"

"5000 Berries?" Luffy was shocked. "That's not enough for me to get full!"

"This is already very lenient!" Nami argued. "A normal person only needs 1000 Berries for food a day!"

"What about other expenses?" Sanji asked.

"Shopping, entertainment, transportation, etc., are limited to 3000 Berries per person per day," Nami continued, announcing the rules. "The total spending limit is 8000 Berries per person per day."

“In that case, ten of us would need 8 Berries a day,” Robin calculated quickly. “That’s 56 Berries a week, which is definitely within our budget.”

“But…” Nami suddenly changed the subject, revealing a sweet smile. “This mission was mainly completed by Borsalino, so he should receive an extra reward!”

Everyone looked at Borsalino, who was leisurely drinking tea.

"An extra reward?" Borsalino was somewhat surprised. "No need, we all worked together."

“No! Merit is merit!” Nami insisted. “You caught the criminal, recovered the stolen goods, and earned 75 Berries!” She took a wad of banknotes from her purse and handed it to Borsalino.

"Here's 20 Berries as your personal bonus!" Nami said generously. "There's no daily spending limit; you can use it as you see fit!"

"20 Berries?!" Luffy's eyes widened. "Why does Borsalino have so much money?"

“Because he earns the most!” Nami said matter-of-factly. “The more you work, the more you earn—that’s a basic principle!”

“I want extra bonus too.” Luffy looked enviously at the money in Borsalino’s hand.

"If you want to, go complete a bounty mission!" Nami said without any hesitation. "As long as you can earn money, I'll give you a bonus!"

"Really?" Luffy's eyes lit up. "Then I'll go catch criminals too!"

“But we can’t reveal our pirate identities!” Nami immediately reminded them. “And it only counts if we actually earn money!”

Borsalino looked at the 20 Berries in his hand, a strange feeling welling up inside him. As a Marine Admiral, he was never short of money, but receiving this kind of "bonus" was indeed a very special feeling.

“Thank you, Nami,” he said sincerely. “I will use this money wisely.”

“You deserve it!” Nami said happily. “Thanks to your contribution, our financial situation has greatly improved!”

While others were somewhat envious, they also believed Borsalino truly deserved the reward. After all, without his efforts, they would still be struggling to make ends meet.

"When do we set off for the next city?" Sanji asked.

“Let’s leave this afternoon!” Nami said excitedly. “I’ve already looked it up; the next city is called ‘Crystal Harbor,’ a very famous tourist destination!”

“Crystal Harbor? That sounds beautiful!” Chopper said expectantly.

"It's said to have the most beautiful crystal caves in the world, as well as a variety of unique cuisines and entertainment facilities," Robin explained, sharing the information she had read in the book.

"Great!" Luffy jumped up excitedly. "A new adventure!"

In the afternoon, the Straw Hat Pirates bid farewell to their friends in the Red Line Kingdom and embarked on their new sea voyage. Tom came to the port to see them off, his eyes filled with reluctance.

“Thank you for everything you’ve done for our kingdom,” Tom said sincerely. “Please come again if you have the chance!”

"Of course!" Luffy waved happily. "Tom, take care of yourself too!"

The Thousand Sunny slowly sailed out of the port, heading towards Crystal Harbor. According to Nami's calculations, the voyage would take approximately two days.

"We have plenty of funds this time, so we can really enjoy ourselves!" Nami looked at her financial plan and was in a good mood.

“And I also have personal funds!” Borsalino shook the money bag in his hand, a hint of smugness in his tone.

"I also want personal funds," Luffy muttered enviously.

"Then you should work hard to earn money!" Nami said with a smile. "Next time you encounter a bounty mission, you can give it a try!"

"Alright! I'm going to make more money than Borsalino!" Luffy declared with high spirits.

The first day of the voyage was peaceful, with everyone preparing for the upcoming trip to Crystal Harbor. Sanji was researching local specialties, Chopper was organizing medical supplies, and Franky was checking the ship's equipment.

Borsalino, meanwhile, leisurely sunbathed on the deck, occasionally helping others with tasks. With the extra funds, he was indeed in a relaxed mood.

"Borsalino, what are you planning to buy with that 20 Berries?" Nami asked curiously.

“I haven’t decided yet,” Borsalino said slowly. “Maybe I should buy everyone some gifts?”

"Buy gifts for everyone?" Everyone was touched.

“You don’t have to do this!” Chopper said, moved. “That’s money you worked so hard to earn!”

“But being able to go on adventures together is a precious experience in itself,” Borsalino said sincerely. “Sharing happiness is the most important thing.”

"Borsarino," Luffy looked at him, moved. "You're such a good person!"

"Not at all," Borsalino waved his hand modestly.

The next morning, they encountered an unexpected incident.

As the Thousand Sunny sailed on the calm sea, Usopp on the lookout suddenly shouted:

"Emergency situation detected ahead! Someone needs help!"

Everyone immediately gathered at the bow of the ship and looked ahead. In the distance, on the sea, a small boat was emitting smoke, and it seemed that someone on board was waving for help.

"It's a wrecked ship!" Nami immediately determined. "We have to go save them!"

"Of course we have to save them!" Luffy said without hesitation. "Franky! Full speed ahead!"

"Roger that!" Franky immediately accelerated, and the Thousand Sunny headed towards the small boat that had called for help.

As they approached, they discovered the situation was far more serious than they had imagined. The small boat wasn't just smoking; it was actually on fire. There were two people on board, a man and a woman, who appeared to be a couple, desperately trying to put out the flames.

"Quick! A lifebuoy!" Sanji immediately threw out a lifebuoy.

"I'm here to save them!" Luffy prepared to jump into the sea and swim across.

“Wait!” Borsalino stopped him. “Let me handle this; I’m faster.”

"Yata no Kagami - Light-speed Rescue!"

Borsalino transformed into a beam of light and instantly appeared on the small boat. He swiftly picked up the two people and then returned to the Thousand Sunny at the speed of light.

The whole process took less than three seconds, and the couple was safely rescued and brought aboard the boat.

"So fast!" The man stared at Borsalino in astonishment. "How did you do that?"

“Just a little trick,” Borsalino said modestly. “Are any of you injured?”

“No, we’re alright,” the woman said, her voice trembling. “Thank you for saving us!”

Chopper immediately went over to check on their physical condition, and after confirming that there were no external injuries, everyone breathed a sigh of relief.

"How did you get into danger?" Nami asked with concern.

“We are merchants who set sail from a nearby town,” the man explained. “We were on our way to Crystal Harbor to do business, but we encountered pirates on the way.”

"Pirates?" Zoro immediately became alert.

“Yes, a very vicious group of pirates,” the woman said fearfully. “They stole our goods and money, and set our ship on fire.”
