Chapter 7224 Anxiety

Chapter 7224 (Seven Thousand Two Hundred and Twenty-Four) Anxiety

The brown-handed man said, "What if what I'm saying isn't what you think?"

"Are you asking again because you think I didn't answer directly?" Grayhand asked.

The brown-handed man laughed and said, "You can interpret it however you like, but do you want to give me a straight answer now?"

The gray-handed man said, "Alright, I'll answer directly."

The brown-handed man said, "You agreed so quickly, that's great. Now, give me your answer."

"Oh, so you want me to answer quickly? You don't want me to delay?" the gray-handed man asked.

“No,” the brown-handed man chuckled. “I didn’t mean that at all. I just wanted to hear your answer. Who knows if you’ll even answer if I delay?”

"Didn't I already promise you?" Grayhand asked.

"Which part did you promise me?" the brown-handed man asked.

“I just said, ‘Okay, I’ll answer directly,’” said the gray-handed man.

“You said that after I said, ‘You can interpret it however you want, so do you want to give me a straight answer now?’ That wasn’t the first time I’d asked you that kind of question,” the Brown-Handed Man said.

"Does your positive response depend on the timeframe?" Grayhand asked.

The brown-handed man chuckled, "Yes, it depends on the timing. After all, you only said you'd give a direct answer when it wasn't the first time I'd asked you this kind of question. So I really can't be sure if you'll answer it again."

The gray-handed man laughed and said, "Didn't you think I was pretty good at procrastinating? Why is it that my procrastination makes you feel anxious now?"

The brown-handed man chuckled, "You can tell I'm feeling anxious?" The gray-handed man said, "It seems so. You've asked similar questions more than once."

The brown-handed man said, "That's because you haven't answered yet."

“I didn’t say I wouldn’t answer,” Grayhand said. “In other words, the timing of my answer is uncertain, which may cause you anxiety.”

The brown-handed man laughed and said, "I'm not sure if this counts as anxiety. Actually, I didn't think I was anxious just now, but after hearing what you said, I think it's not unreasonable for you to call my state anxiety."

The gray-handed man asked, "Oh? Why do you think it can be called anxiety just because I said that?"

The brown-handed man laughed and said, "While listening to you, I couldn't help but recall the state I was in when I was speaking just now."

"Suddenly realized you're anxious?" Grayhand asked.

Brownhand said, "It's not so much that I've become aware of anxiety, but rather that I've realized I might be having a similar reaction to before."

The gray-handed man asked, "What was the reaction?"

"How should I put this?" the brown-handed man said. "Let me put it this way, when you didn't give a direct answer just now, I had a reaction similar to when I used to work for my master. When the master didn't give a direct answer, I would keep thinking that the master might not give a direct answer, and then I would try to think of a way to do what I should do if the master didn't give a direct answer."

Grayhand said, "You reacted like this when I hadn't given you a direct answer?"

The brown-handed man said, "Yes, that's exactly what I meant."

The gray-handed man paused, then smiled and said, "Oh, I understand."

"You can understand that too?" the brown-handed man said. "I don't think I should have reacted like that. After all, I was facing you this time."
