The gray-handed man said, "Yes."

"It seems we haven't completely strayed from what we were talking about earlier. I just said that I didn't feel like you were forcing me to say anything, and then you brought this up," the brown-handed man said.

“That’s exactly what brought this up in my mind,” said Grayhand. “Your words probably served to bring it up.”

The brown-handed man said, "It's not entirely incomprehensible to consider this as a sudden recollection of something else."

The gray-handed man said, "You haven't answered my question yet. Of course, I'm not forcing you to answer; I'm just saying that if you intend to answer, then I'm prepared to listen."
