Chapter 1011 Lex's Assist
at the same time.

Padrick Farm.

The warm yellow light in the living room couldn't dispel the gloom in the hearts of the "fathers with worries" gathered there.

Raven was wrapped in a deep purple hooded cloak, almost blending into the shadows of the corner, with only her tightly pursed lips revealing her anxiety.

Azu stood by the window with his arms crossed, his eyes fixed on the dirt road leading to the farm gate.

Mark stood against the wall, his brow furrowed, his hands in his jacket pockets.

Loki also abandoned his cynicism at this moment, and his eyes flashed with a rare worry.

Peter told them not to go out under any circumstances, but at this moment, everyone felt uneasy.

"Boom! Boom! Boom!"

Suddenly, a knocking sound rang out.

Jane, who was stunned for a moment, quickly stepped forward and opened the door.

The figure standing at the door, silhouetted against the heavy darkness outside, appeared somewhat unsteady.

The person who appeared outside was not Peter.

The figure was panting, as if it had traveled a long way.

He raised his hand and wiped the sweat mixed with dust from his forehead, revealing his bald head.

Lex Luthor appeared outside the door.

Upon seeing Lex appear, the tense atmosphere in the living room momentarily froze, only to be replaced by a deeper sense of surprise and disbelief.

Lex Luthor?

How could he be at Patrick's Farm at this time?

Luther ignored the questioning looks directed at him.

His sharp eyes scanned the living room urgently, but he couldn't find the person he was hoping for.

Where is Mr. Patrick?

Luther's voice was hoarse from the long journey, and his tone was urgent, "Where is he? I must see him immediately!"

Raven stepped forward from the shadows, her voice low and wary as she asked, "Father's not here, Luther. What are you doing here?"

She didn't like Luther at all.

Although she had known Lex since childhood, this guy had been making a big fuss about the superhuman incident lately, and had previously tried to investigate her family.

"Not here?"

Luther's brows furrowed sharply, a hint of almost uncontrollable anxiety flashing across his face.

"Where did he go?"

Azu walked over, looked Lex up and down, and said to him, "I don't know, but he's off to do something very important. If you need anything, you must talk to your father."

"It's too late. Oh, right, Louise Lane, do you know where Louise is? I haven't been able to find her. If Mr. Patrick isn't here, then take me to see Louise Lane!"

His gaze was fixed on Raven, with an almost pleading urgency. "Only she can reveal the truth to the public the fastest. Raven, take me there!"

Raven was moved by the rare sincerity in Luther's eyes.

She glanced at Azu and Mark, who both nodded slightly.

What do you want with her?

Raven continued to ask.

“I have discovered a truth that I wanted to tell Mr. Patrick, but he was not here, so I went to see Louise. There is a force that has altered our history. It may sound unbelievable, but it is true, and only she can tell the world.”

Upon hearing Lex's words, Raven glanced in shock at Courtney, who was sitting to the side.

Courtney has been staying on the farm since the incident occurred.

She always wanted to do her best to help everyone.

Hearing Lex say that someone had changed the history of his world.

Courtney looked shocked.

Does Lex also know the history of the Justice Society's disappearance?

“Come with me. Louise was doing an interview in Moscow. It will take some effort to find her.”

Without further hesitation, Raven turned and walked outside.

Luther immediately followed, his steps so hurried that he almost stumbled.

"Wait, Raven, I'll go with you."

Courtney, who had been quietly staying in the corner, got up without hesitation, took the Cosmic Staff, and followed.

Ten minutes later.

There was a rapid knocking on the door to Louise Lane's room.

Louise opened the door, her face still showing the fatigue of staying up all night to finish her manuscript and a hint of displeasure at being disturbed.

But when she saw that standing at the door were Raven, Courtney, and that bald billionaire exuding anxiety, her displeasure instantly turned into astonishment.

"Luther? Raven? What happened?"

Louise's keen journalistic instincts immediately picked up on the unusual atmosphere. Without a word of pleasantries, Luther practically shoved Louise aside and barged into the simple room that was temporarily serving as her studio.

Scattered on the table were manuscript papers and an open laptop.

Ignoring everything, he walked straight to the table and roughly slammed a small, black USB drive without any markings onto it.

“We need your help, Miss Ryan.”

Luther turned around, his sharp eyes fixed on Louise. "Here's some news, big news that will overturn everything you know."

Louise frowned, looking warily at the USB drive.

"What's inside? Luther, don't try anything funny with me."

"evidence."

Luther stated unequivocally, "Evidence that proves our world is fake, evidence that a period of history, a group of people, was completely erased by some force!"

He pointed to Courtney standing next to Raven, "She can testify, Stargirl, Courtney Whitman, her memory is not distorted, she can prove that those 'non-existent' heroes ever existed!"

Under Luther's intense gaze and Louise's inquiring look, Courtney took a deep breath and nodded vigorously.

“Yes, Ms. Lane, I remember them, Midnight Doctor, Timeman, Johnny and his elf… and… and the others from the JSA (Justice Society of America). They existed, they fought alongside my stepfather Pat, but now… no one remembers them except me, as if they never existed.”

"I always thought it was a dream until Mr. Patrick told me about the original Green Lantern, and then I realized it was real."

Louise's expression changed upon hearing Courtney's words.

JSA?

what is that?
Why does it sound strangely familiar?
"It's not just simple amnesia, Louise!"

Luther's voice rose, and he said excitedly, "It's the erasure of the nodes of existence, the modification of the entire timeline. That force doesn't make people forget them, but rather it completely removes the 'fact nodes' of their existence from the river of time."

"It was as if it had never happened. Then, in order to fill this huge void, the entire timeline began to self-correct, self-weave, covering up the traces of erasure. As a result, the fates of all those connected to them, all the people and things they influenced, were changed, all of us—"

Luther pointed to the endless night sky outside the window, then to himself, and then to Louise.

"We all live in a reality that has been stitched together, after a forcibly altered, false timeline."

As Louise listened to Lex's words, she felt a chill run down her spine and spread throughout her body.

Luther's words were as crazy as science fiction, but the painful reality in Courtney's eyes, and the inexplicable fog deep in her own memories, made it impossible for her to easily deny them.

She picked up the cold USB drive, feeling its immense weight.

"Where's the evidence?"

Louise's voice was a little hoarse, "Besides Courtney's memories, what else do you have?"

Luther seemed to be waiting for her to say those words.

A near-morbid, fanatical smile, as if he had discovered the truth, appeared on his face.

He reached into the inside pocket of his expensive suit and carefully took out a photograph.

It was just a very ordinary, somewhat old-looking black and white photograph with slightly worn edges.

He then solemnly pushed the photo in front of Louise.

"look at this."

Louise picked up the photo with a puzzled look.

The background of the photo resembles a typical street in an American small town, and it's somewhat blurry.

In the center of the photo stands a young man wearing an old-fashioned suit and glasses, who looks refined and cultured.

The man was smiling at the camera; his smile was gentle and had a scholarly air about it.

An extremely ordinary appearance, the kind that would probably go unnoticed in a flea market.

"Who is this?"

Louise asked, puzzled.

"Joan Osterman".

Luther paused, his gaze piercing the gentle young man in the photograph, and uttered the name, word by word:

"That is, Dr. Manhattan."

Louise gripped the edge of the photo tightly and looked at Luther with a puzzled expression.

"Who is he?"

Instead of returning immediately, Luther became lost in some kind of reminiscence.

He then began to speak very quickly but clearly:
“Since my teenage years, I have had an almost obsessive curiosity about the anomalies beneath the surface of how the world works. Two years ago, my private satellite network and secret monitoring stations around the world detected inexplicable, periodic, and anomalous surges in localized temporal energy readings on Earth.”

"These peaks far exceed natural fluctuations. It feels like... something enormous is cautiously and tentatively reaching its tentacles in from outside our universe, each touch creating ripples in the spacetime structure."

His fingers tapped unconsciously on the table, in a rapid rhythm.

“I mobilized all of Luther Group’s top resources and manpower to begin a full-scale effort to track the source of this abnormal energy. It is elusive, like a ghost, and each appearance is extremely brief, leaving traces that are quickly submerged by cosmic background radiation.”

"The process of tracking it was like chasing a phantom in an endless maze, which cost me countless riches and efforts, and almost made me give up... until a few months ago, a chance occurrence with an unusually strong burst of energy readings led me to the central city."

Luther's eyes sharpened, as if he were back on that rainy night.

"I witnessed the rebirth of Wally West, the boy who appears out of nowhere, struggling to emerge from the void like a bolt of lightning. Two Flashes—Barry Allen and Wally—embracing and talking in the rain."
