Chapter 3828 The Holy Bell's Luck and the Unicorn (Bonus Chapter for Alliance Leader)
Chapter 3828 The Holy Bell's Luck and the Unicorn (Bonus Chapter for Alliance Leader)
Such a scenario was not predicted by the serpent. In the destiny it observed, after molting, it would first have the Summoner and the chosen ones present temporarily withdraw, and when they returned free from their own powers, the apocalypse would have already fully arrived and eroded half of the material world.
And now, even without the Summoners and the Chosen, there are still so many.
A flash of light appeared in the [Ouroboros Eye - Left Eye]. Ignoring the people silently watching it, it looked towards the cliff face of the ruins:
"So that's it."
Meanwhile, "What If," standing beside the Tower of All Things, was also watching the location of [Oracle Square]. The little unicorn, sent flying by the blast, crashed heavily onto the square, curling into a white ball of fur and rolling a considerable distance before finally stopping in the very center of [Oracle Square].
The little unicorn stretched out its body, revealing Mia, who was protected in its soft belly.
The cat didn't seem disoriented by Ellie's rolling around; instead, it meowed as the disoriented Ellie swayed to her feet.
Ellie, still seeing double images, naturally didn't understand what this meant. Fortunately, the cat's tail drooped down, and then the burning tip of the tail pointed downwards.
Because of the severe double vision, Ellie actually saw three cat tails. She looked down and saw that there was a ring embedded in the center of the square where she was standing.
"Huh?" (What?)
Just as it was wondering, the little unicorn turned back to look in the direction of the battle. It saw a thick, dim yellow beam of light shooting straight into the night sky. Then, the deep night sky, which had cracks, was stained as if it had been stained with dim yellow ink, and rolling yellow sand spread out in all directions from the center of the ruins.
The power seeping from the giant hole sent a chill down Ellie's spine. This time, it wasn't a magic lock anymore; the true rules of the material world were being rewritten. Ellie stared at it with her azure eyes, her expression blank, until she heard a "roar~".
Turning around again, Ellie saw little Leona carrying the Holy Bell that should have been in Stella's hand, limping towards her from the direction of the cliff near the edge of the ruins.
Little Leona was clearly also affected by Mr. Snake's appearance. Seeing her limping, Ellie, with tears in her eyes, hurriedly ran over to greet her and try to heal her, but then came a series of "hoo" sounds.
Behind little Leona, amidst the sandstorm, countless pure white divine beasts rushed towards this place. Hundreds of unicorns' lights touched and merged with each other, temporarily shielding them from the apocalyptic environment in this dim, yellowish landscape.
Little Leona and the herd of unicorns stopped on the left side of the center of the square, and everyone crowded together to look at Ellie, who was standing alone in the center of the square.
Little Leona, at the very front of the group, tossed the sacred bell she was carrying into the center of the plaza, into the circle of "Luck," and then excitedly barked at Ellie. Her injuries were healing thanks to the power of her pack, and Little Leona was clearly happy that everyone had finally broken through the blockade and could come to Ellie's aid.
The unicorn herd ceased their howling, and the sacred beasts of the Sixth Era all gazed upon this fellow being from the distant past.
Ellie stood there, stunned, until little Leanna excitedly crossed the dividing line in the center of the square and ran towards her. After nuzzling her neck, little Leanna, without a word, pushed Ellie to the very center of the square.
The unicorn herd immediately surrounded Ellie, and the white light emanating from her merged with theirs. The long-lost feeling of "returning to her pack" made Ellie want to cry, while the unicorns rubbing against her all around reminded her of the days when she lived with her pack.
In the white light, Ellie transformed from her unicorn form into human form, with the cat still perched on her head.
The Ring of Fate manifested behind her, and this time Ellie was connected not to the fate of a single individual, but to the fate of an entire race. A new unicorn race accepted her back, and thus her innate destiny combined with the unicorns' "population convergence" trait to take effect.
The pure white light gathered the power of the new species, a power accumulated by the entire species over the past thousand years of reproduction, history, culture, and living environment. Ellie, who had just advanced to the sixth ring, now had more spirit runes appearing on her life ring, a gift from the new species.
The surrounding unicorns instinctively stepped back a few paces, clearing a space around Ellie. Little Leona, however, did not retreat and remained in the position closest to Ellie.
With encouraging looks from Leona and all the other unicorns, Ellie bent down to pick up the sacred bell that the Hermits of the Forest had lent to Shad, and then grabbed the golden Ring of Luck that flew toward her from the ground.
This is Ellie's second ring.
At this very moment, amidst the eager anticipation of all the unicorns, Ellie held a ring in one hand and shook a bell in the other—
Ding dong~
hum!
"hold head high!"
"Meow~"
The vibrations of the sacred bell triggered a resonance within the Ring of Luck, while the collective cry of the unicorn herd amplified the bell's connection to destiny. As for the meow, it was clearly Mia's displeasure at the unicorns' noise.
From the high cliff of the ruins, from the very center of the Oracle Square, a golden circular ripple spread out in all directions.
The ultimate fortune spread across the entire island due to the power of the ring wielders, the amplification of the bells, and the magical racial resonance of the unicorns. All units that Ellie deemed "friendly" received this fortune, and golden light lingered around the many ring mages. Even those who faced the Serpent found themselves empowered after the clear sound of the bells.
Of course, those who were most closely connected with Ellie and who needed luck the most received the most help.
The ancient cult's sacred bells rang out, echoing throughout the entire Falling Star Bay area. Even though the dim yellow light of day had already covered most of the night sky and was still expanding, those who had just felt uneasy and as if their souls were being crushed by a boulder were now awake.
On the fog-shrouded sea, the attack from Shad and Iluna's fusion had killed the giant serpent that had poked its head out. Meanwhile, as the molting serpent emerged from the rolling yellow sand within the ruins, billowing sand and dust also erupted from the giant crater on the seabed beneath the surface.
Mr. Snake did not appear on this battlefield, but the apocalyptic environment here was much more severe than that on the mountaintop.
The seawater here has turned yellow, with large swaths of yellow sand mixed in with the seawater and spreading outwards.
People who were originally in the center of the battlefield on the sea were forced to fall back to the sea from the air, and even those who possessed the counterfeit Ring of Destiny had to retreat away from the center of the battlefield.
The warships, originally sent to provide distant support and eliminate monsters in the ocean, were now unable to retreat in the dim light of dawn. A quarter of the crew went mad as the night sky changed color; some developed snake-like markings, while others gradually withered and dehydrated until they became mummies capable only of mindless attacks.
The appearance of these monsters immediately threw the ship into chaos. Even though the church sent ring sorcerers to assist on board, they were unable to stop the chaos in their haste.
However, among the many warships, the situation on the HMS White Pearl was the best.
Major Rades organized a group of mentally sound personnel who, on the one hand, held off the attacks of the madmen and monsters, on the other hand, gathered the survivors and took control of the captain's cabin. Before long, with the assistance of the ship's shamans, they had completely brought the situation on the "White Pearl" under control, and even went to other ships to provide support by "boarding".
"This major participated in the Battle of Midhillburg in 1853."
Some of the ring sorcerers on board knew about the ship's officers, so they weren't surprised by the middle-aged major's outstanding performance. And this kind of ordinary person, capable of taking on a critical mission with both courage and meticulousness, would now have opportunities to cooperate with the church later.
Especially in such chaotic times.
The situation at the edge of the battlefield at sea is only dangerous for ordinary people; it is nothing compared to the very center of the battlefield spewing yellow sand.
When the apocalyptic fate of the Sixth Era was truly born, and the most deadly dim yellow light radiated out, the ring sorcerers in that area at that time faced a truly deadly crisis.
Claire didn't know what was happening to the others, but she immediately lost consciousness after being enveloped by that dim yellow light.
When she woke up again, she felt dizzy and her soul was about to collapse. Enduring the intense discomfort, she looked around and saw that she was standing in the midst of rolling yellow sand, surrounded by broken walls and ruins. And no matter how she looked at it, it felt like the town of Kyle Todd.
She didn't have time to check her surroundings anymore; something in the sky was drawing her in with its powerful presence.
Looking up, in the sky where yellow sand rolls, a black sun with fiery lines hanging prominently.
Claire only glanced at it, but felt her entire soul drawn in. She was the Great Witch of the Sun, and although she also used the power of ice and snow, she was actually more skilled in wielding the power of the sun.
Looking at that black sun, she suddenly realized that she had never truly understood the "sun," and that the sun before her was the real sun.
So beautiful, so gorgeous, the rolling blackness drew her soul inside, and the extinguished light and chilling heat were her true home.
Then the phantom of black flames appeared on Claire's body, as if to burn her and then draw her soul toward the black sun.
But having experienced the bizarre event of talking to her own corpse and jumping off a cliff with it, she instinctively sensed something was wrong.
