Days wandering around Hogwarts
Chapter 517 The Game Has Begun
Chapter 517 The Game Has Begun
"Charlie, believe me, you'll love it once you see it!"
It was late at night when Hagrid walked into Hogwarts Castle carrying a bucket of dead mice.
As he walked, he said, "I hope this cute little guy will like the gift I brought. I think he will definitely enjoy eating it."
Charlie was also very excited. According to Hagrid's description, he had never seen an owl almost as tall as Ron, so he was more enthusiastic in helping to catch mice than he was when he cooked for Ron at home.
We arrived at the ward quickly and it was quiet inside.
Hagrid walked up quickly, lifted the quilt, and stood there in a daze.
What about an owl? An owl that big?
Charlie was scratching his head. Not only was this owl the same height as Ron, but its head, limbs, and hair were also the same as Ron's.
The weather was still cold at night, and Ron woke up with a shiver.
"Hagrid, what are you doing? Give me back the blanket!"
He is very grumpy when he wakes up.
Charlie was even more confused. An animal looked like Ron, barked like Ron, and looked angry like Ron, so it must be Ron, right?
"Ron?" Charlie asked uncertainly, "Is that you?"
Ron then noticed his second brother in Hagrid's shadow. After snatching back the quilt, he pouted and said, "Good evening, Charlie."
When he saw the barrel full of dead mice in Charlie's hand, he immediately thought of what was going on and shuddered. He immediately imitated his mother's tone and said, "Are you going to learn from Fred and George? Why not learn from Percy? He does a good job in the Ministry of Magic, and the Minister mentions him from time to time..."
Charlie said somewhat awkwardly, "Ah, I didn't know you were here. I was planning to give you your presents tomorrow."
"Hagrid told me there's an owl here that's as big as you."
Ron was a little scared, but luckily Madam Pomfrey's medicine was very effective. The pain stopped immediately after drinking it, and he turned back into human form. Otherwise, he would have been fed to rats.
He felt his stomach churning at the thought.
Although Charlie didn't know why Ron was lying in the school infirmary, he saw that he looked very bad and looked like he was about to vomit, so he thought he was having a seizure and immediately went to find Madam Pomfrey.
Hagrid came to his senses at this time and asked, "Ron, did you see an owl as big as you when you came here?"
Ron said, "It was taken away by Charles."
Hagrid suddenly became nervous, thinking that it might be because Madam Pomfrey said that the owl could not be cured, so he took it to the Dancing Grass Restaurant and stewed it overnight.
At this moment, a scream from Madam Pomfrey came from next door.
The next morning, when the students went to have breakfast, they saw a huge sign that read: "Rubeau Hagrid and Charlie Weasley are not allowed to approach the school infirmary." It started from the main entrance, with a sign every five steps, all the way to the door of the school infirmary.
The Weasley children met at the dinner table to discuss the matter.
They heard Charlie say last summer that they would meet soon, but everyone was curious about what law he had violated that made Madam Pomfrey hang so many signs overnight and Professor Dumbledore didn't care.
Ron said while eating grilled sausages, "Charlie and Hagrid brought two buckets of dead rats to the infirmary last night, which made Madam Pomfrey very angry. Professor Dumbledore's persuasion was useless."
Fred and George looked at each other. They had been playing pranks for so many years, but they were still not as good as their second brother's casual tricks.
Ginny asked, "What are Charlie and the others doing at Hogwarts?"
Fred said, "Need I ask? It must be something related to the Triwizard Tournament. I think the next game must be related to the dragon."
Ginny asked worriedly, "Are we going to fight a dragon?"
No one knows the answer.
After hearing this, Harry asked Charles, "Are we really going to fight a dragon?"
Charles shook his head and said, "That's impossible. If we kill the dragon, we'll lose a lot of money. If we break it into pieces, even the Dancing Grass Restaurant won't want it."
Several people around looked at Ximo and felt that there was some truth in it.
Seamus asked nervously, "If something happens, they won't have to pay for it, right?" Charles said, "I don't think the school will ask students to pay for it."
Simo was somewhat relieved, but he had a new question: "I don't know how many fire dragons there are and how to fight them."
Charles pondered and said, "Maybe intelligence gathering is also part of the game."
At this time Hermione said: "You go and find out about the types of dragons, and I will go to the library to find a book on how to fight dragons."
"I think it would be easier to ask Hagrid," said Harry.
Hermione thought what he said made sense. Given Hagrid's obsession with dragons, he probably knew more about them than any books in the library.
So Hermione said, "There's nothing wrong with being more prepared, Harry. Go ask Hagrid."
She finally looked at Charles and said, "You come and help, too."
Charles wanted to help, but Dumbledore asked him out for a chat during the morning class.
"I can't help." Charles said to Seamus during lunch. "Dancing Grass Restaurant needs to be responsible for the catering of the 'guests', so I can't participate in matters related to the competition, let alone reveal any information."
Hermione asked indirectly, "Does it require a lot of catering services?"
She wanted to find out how many dragons had come, but Charles said, "The prices of mutton, beef, and pork have gone up a lot now, and I can get cheap meat."
Hermione saw that she couldn't get the answer she wanted, so she had to give up.
During lunch break, Seamus and the others came to the edge of the Forbidden Forest and found Cedric, Fleur, Krum and others there.
However, there was a thick white fog in the forbidden forest, and it was impossible to see what was inside. One could only vaguely see that there seemed to be a high wall between the trees.
As if as a demonstration, or perhaps as a reminder, a bird flew into the forbidden forest and was immediately caught by the vines extending from the trees.
Obviously, you can find out information if you want, but it depends on your own ability.
Charles saw them from a nearby greenhouse and just smiled.
There are many loopholes in the defense around the Fire Dragon Camp. As long as the contestants are serious, they can break in and find out what's inside.
If you are careless and get caught, then sorry, you have to stay and shovel dragon poop.
Charles felt that Durmstrang was the least problematic. The night was the world of vampires, and it would not be difficult for Erica to sneak in.
Beauxbatons is not sure, but there is naturally no problem with Hogwarts.
Fred and George are very familiar with the terrain of the Forbidden Forest and may have discovered the problem.
Just as Charles thought, after lunch break, Fred said to Cedric on the tower of the castle that could see the forbidden forest: "The black shadow we saw should not be the real camp."
Cedric said seriously, "Tell me what you think?"
Fred said: "Although I don't know how many fire dragons there are, they definitely need a large flat area, which is not suitable there."
"I heard from Charlie before that fire dragons can easily cause fires, and it's best to have water around them, and there just happens to be no streams or ponds there."
Cedric nodded, thinking it made sense.
Another person in their group said, "How about flying over there on a broomstick and taking a look?"
Cedric was a little tempted. This was indeed a good idea. It would be most convenient to find it at night when there were lights on.
At this moment, a scream was heard outside the castle.
The first-year students are taking flying lessons and are now starting to learn some difficult flying maneuvers, but it seems that Hogwarts' broken broom has broken down again.
The broom that a Slytherin girl was riding seemed to have a serious problem. She lost control and flew high into the sky, unknowingly getting closer and closer to the Forbidden Forest.
Cedric and the others thought to themselves that it seemed they were not the only ones who thought so.
