Chapter 484 Dress
As the Christmas dance drew closer, students were busy inviting dance partners and many were distracted in class.

"Mr. Weasley, I want you to focus on spells in class!"

Professor McGonagall's hands were shaking with anger.

In all her years of teaching at Hogwarts, this was the first time a student had cast a spell and lost his concentration during class, transforming his desk into a dachshund as long as the desk.

This matter was a bit strange. Professor McGonagall calmed down and asked with concern: "Ron, is there something wrong at home?"

She thought that Ron was so distracted that it was likely that something unexpected had happened at home.

Charles also asked Ron: "Weasley, did I ask you to borrow money?"

Ron shook his head.

Finally, it was Harry who said, "He was upset about not getting a partner."

"Five points deducted from Gryffindor!" Professor McGonagall was furious. "You were absent-minded in class and got into an accident."

"If the wand had been a little off, the spell would have hit Longbottom and his ball would have been over!"

Ron's face flushed immediately.

After class, Professor McGonagall asked Charles to wait for a moment and asked him in a low voice: "What has your grandfather been busy with recently?"

Charles recalled the contents of his diary and replied, "He said that he recently met a younger generation of a friend from his youth. Now he is with that younger generation and he often asks me for Dobby recipes."

Professor McGonagall nodded and said, "Oh, that's as it should be."

Older people can understand the feeling of meeting the descendants of old friends.

In the corridor, Charles met two acquaintances, with whom he would chat for a while whenever they met during this period.

"Oh, Miss Zhang, I didn't expect to see you here." Charles greeted Qiu Zhang enthusiastically and exaggeratedly, "The first time I saw you, I felt that I should invite you to the Christmas dance."

Qiu Zhang smiled and asked, "Are you inviting me now?"

The person who was about to invite her was a little nervous.

Unexpectedly, Charles sighed deeply and said, "I'm sorry to disappoint you. Now that I see Mr. Diggory, I think he should be invited."

Qiu Zhang's face turned pale and he immediately pulled Cedric up and ran away.

Charles smiled, and for some reason he found this very amusing.

"You seem to be in a good mood." Furong came from behind.

Charles said: "I don't know why, but I always want to tease them."

Furong's eyes lit up and she said, "This may be a sign that your memory is returning."

Charles smiled and said, "I think so."

The two chatted as they came to Furong's dormitory.

There were two clothes racks in the dormitory, with two sets of clothes hanging on them. One was a bright blue dress, sparkling with stars, and came with a pair of crystal shoes. The other was a black men's double-breasted suit, with the embroidery and buttons on the front, collar, and cuffs all shiny silver, and a pair of leather shoes.

Fleur pointed at the black dress and said, "This is your dress. Erica got it back for you when she went to get her dress."

Charles didn't know why Erica didn't give him the dress directly, but he still said, "Thank you, it looks nice."

He was just thinking about putting the dress away when Furong said, "Why don't you try it on and try it on? If it doesn't fit, there's still time to alter it."

Charles scratched his head and said, "It doesn't seem right to change here, right?"

Furong took off the dress and put it in his hand, saying, "There's nothing wrong with it. Go change it and show it to me."

"You don't want me to change your clothes, do you? I'm good at changing Gabrielle's clothes."

Charles naturally wouldn't let her help him change, so he had to go to the bathroom to change into the dress.

“It looks like a good fit.”

When Charles came out, he found that Fleur had changed into her dress, which seemed a little tight.

"Practice with me." Fleur held out her hand to Charles. "You don't want me to make a mistake when I start dancing, do you?"

Charles said hesitantly, "I don't know how to dance." Furong smiled and said, "It's okay, I'll teach you."

The speakers on the table played fast-paced tango music. Charles straightened his chest, tightened his abdomen, and tucked his legs in. The two of them leaned close together, their bodies touching.

Dancing is indeed not difficult. Tango is just walking and dancing. You jump after three steps, look back after two steps, bend your waist after five steps, wave your hand after six steps, and then you walk and dance again.

Every time they looked at each other, they lingered, every time they got close as if they were going to hug each other, they finally pretended to be reserved and maintained the last bit of distance. Although their faces were serious, their hearts were beating fast, and it seemed as if there was a thin ice that was melting between them.

I don't know when the dance stopped, my eyes were blurry, my breathing became heavier, and my lips got closer and closer...

"Boom boom boom!"

The knock on the door startled them both.

Fleur immediately pushed Charles into the bathroom, took off her dress and let it fly back onto the hanger, then undressed, poured hot water over her body, applied some shower gel and shampoo, put on her pajamas, and pretended that she had just taken a shower.

It was Professor Delacour who came.

After he came in, he asked his daughter with concern: "I saw that you didn't go to dinner. Are you feeling unwell?"

Furong lowered her head slightly and said, "I'm not feeling uncomfortable anywhere, it's just..."

Professor Delacour said seriously, "Is it because the food at Hogwarts is too greasy for you to wear your dress, so you didn't go to dinner?"

"I said, you can't control your body weight by not eating."

"I heard that there is a kind of weight loss pill in the UK that works really well. I'll buy it for you later."

Furong gritted her teeth and said, "I'm not getting fat!"

Professor Delacour smiled and said, "Dad, I was young once too, and I know what young people are thinking. Don't worry, I won't let Gabrielle know... huh?"

His eyes suddenly became sharp and he found a pair of men's sneakers under the empty hanger.

Furong then realized the shoes Charles had just taken off, and said hurriedly, "Charles came to take away his dress just now, changed his shoes to try on his feet, but forgot to take his old shoes away..."

She couldn't go on because her normal shoes were on the hanger with her dress and now she was wearing the crystal shoes.

Then she added: "I'm a little uncomfortable wearing these crystal shoes. Wear them more often in the next few days, otherwise you'll fall down."

Professor Delacour said, "I asked no questions."

Furong's face suddenly turned red.

Fifteen minutes later, the students of Beauxbatons began to return, and seeing Professor Delacour in the corridor outside Fleur's room, they greeted him and asked him what he was doing here.

Professor Delacour sneered and said, "I'm going to catch mice."

"There are mice in the castle?" Charles' voice sounded behind him. "It might be a student's pet."

Professor Delacour looked at Charles in surprise and asked, "Why are you here?"

Charles raised his foot and replied, "I tried on my new shoes when I got my dress just now and forgot to take my old shoes back."

Professor Delacour learned much later that Charles could pass through walls just like the ghosts.

He just glared at Charles and said before leaving: "Since it's a pet, I won't worry about it."

Charles knocked on the door and entered the room again, but this time both of them were calm and it was a little awkward for a moment.

Furong stammered, "Just now...just now...it was just an emergency. Don't think...don't think I would do something like that again."

Charles nodded immediately.

He didn't know what to say for a moment, and finally just blurted out: "Have you found a dance partner?"

Fleur nodded.

Charles opened his mouth and finally said, "I'm sorry, I wanted to invite you, but something happened and I can't come to the dance. Please don't tell anyone else."

"Don't apologize," Fleur said, "I think you have something to do, and I understand."
