Days wandering around Hogwarts

Chapter 483 Don't Go Forward

Chapter 483 Don't Go Forward
It was a cold December morning. Peeves had poured a bucket of water on the corridor last night, and a thin layer of ice had formed by daybreak.

Even colder than the weather was Snape's look, which reminded Karkaroff of the winter at Durmstrang.

"Igor..."

When the two met face to face in the corridor, Snape called out to Karkaroff in a deep voice.

The students were still asleep, and it was dark and eerily quiet all around. The atmosphere between the two of them was also eerie.

Karkaroff didn't expect to meet Snape so early in the morning.

The person he was most worried about when he came to Hogwarts this time was Snape, because Snape was once a member of the Death Eaters and was very likely to discover his plan.

Karkaroff asked expressionlessly, "Severus, what's the matter?"

He thought that Snape would not stop him for no reason, and he must have something to say. Could it be that he discovered something?
This made him serious and prepared to deal with emergencies.

Snape said with the same expressionless face: "Don't go any further, turn back."

Karkaroff's heart sank. Why did Snape say that? Did he find out what he was doing?
He thought that when the Dark Lord mentioned Snape before, he thought that this person had betrayed him, so he was not imprisoned in Azkaban, but remained by Dumbledore's side.

He thought again that if Snape knew what he was doing and did not tell Dumbledore but told him privately, it meant that he was still a Death Eater who could be saved.

So Karkaroff said, "Severus, I know what I have to do."

He thought to himself, why not find an opportunity to have a good talk with Snape?
Snape continued walking forward without saying a word, passing Karkaroff and disappearing at the end of the corridor.

When Snape approached, Karkaroff suddenly found that his expression was a little unnatural, which was a bit strange.

"Is there some hidden secret in this matter?" Karkaroff walked forward while thinking, wondering if something happened to Snape that he didn't know about, so he was conveying information to him in this way?
Suddenly, he felt the world spinning.

"Oh!"

There was a layer of ice on the floor of the corridor, and because it was so dark, I couldn't see clearly.

When Karkaroff got up from the ground, he suddenly thought to himself, could it be that Snape also fell down like me, so he told me not to move forward?

Karkaroff felt a little pain from the fall, so he decided to go to the school infirmary to take some medicine. On the way, he met Snape again, but they both pretended not to see each other.

What Karkaroff didn't expect was that there was someone unexpected in the ward.

Helen was lying on the hospital bed, covered with two quilts. She had just taken medicine and steam was coming out of her ears.

Helena said hysterically, "You didn't go back to the dormitory last night, you caught a severe cold, and you just took a shower?"

"Are you...being forced?!"

Helen nodded. She had been locked in a stone for a whole night and then fell into the icy lake. She went to the bathroom to soak in hot water to warm her body, but it was no use. She had a serious cold and a low-grade fever, so she had no choice but to come to the school infirmary.

Helena's face suddenly became grim, and she asked through gritted teeth, "Who is it?"

Helen was worried that her sister would go and cause trouble for Charles and ruin her plans, so she just shook her head and said, "Forget it."

Helena's eyes narrowed and she asked in a low voice, "Could it be that Steve Rogers?"

Helen shook her head, worried that her sister might do something wrong, but finally she told the truth: "It's Charles Smith."

Helena was stunned when she heard it. It was Charles. He was only 14 years old, and he actually did such a thing!
Helen immediately said, "Let's talk about it after Christmas."

Helena was silent for a moment, then gritted her teeth. The Dark Lord's mission was more important, so she said, "I know what to do."

At this time, Karkaroff walked into the ward, frowned and asked: "What happened?"

When Helena saw it was him, she immediately made an excuse: "Nothing, she fell into the big lake."

"Ah?" Karkaroff looked at Helen in disbelief. "You actually fell into the lake?"

Not to mention if it was a real Durmstrang student, but the one in front of him actually fell into the lake?
Helena stood up and shooed him away, saying, "Pomfrey will be angry later."

Karkaroff felt that this morning was really pleasant. First, Snape slipped and fell on the ice, and now he fell into the lake and caught a cold. It was a rare treasure. He immediately stopped feeling the pain in his body. Helena said to her sister, "You continue to rest. I will bring you breakfast."

"Don't worry, I won't tell him."

Helen nodded. Falling into the lake was such an embarrassing thing.

During breakfast, Charles was chatting with Seamus about ball gowns when he suddenly felt a murderous look from the Slytherin.

When he saw that it was Helena, Helen's sister, he thought it was about throwing Helen into the big lake, so he didn't take it seriously and just responded with a contemptuous smile.

It just so happened that he had just finished eating a piece of oil cake and felt some oil on his lips, so he licked it subconsciously.

Helena was thinking about how to kill Charles after completing the mission. She kept thinking and couldn't believe that he would do such a thing at such a young age.

As for the fact that Charles was the son of the Dark Lord, it didn’t matter. At worst, I could just give him a son as compensation.

Just then, Charles looked at him, smiled and licked his lips.

Helena suddenly felt a chill and wondered if her would be his next target.

Charles ignored her and continued chatting with Seamus.

Seamus suddenly asked him, "Did you try on your dress?"

Charles blinked and asked, "My dress?"

Seamus thought that he really didn't remember this, so he said, "You had a custom suit ordered in Hogsmeade. Ask Miss Delacour. She should know."

Charles nodded and said he would ask later.

At this time, Hermione, who was sitting on the other side of him, said, "Recently, many boys have invited Fleur to dance after hearing that you didn't invite her."

Charles asked Hermione, "Who has she agreed to dance with?"

Hermione looked at him in disbelief.

Not only Hermione, but Seamus, Harry, Ron, Neville and others also looked incredible.

Charles asked in confusion: "Why are you looking at me like that? I have found a dance partner."

This caused an uproar.

Charles found a dance partner, and it wasn't Fleur. Is there anything more ridiculous than this?

Harry immediately asked, "Who is it?"

Charles didn't say anything to avoid unnecessary complications. He then remembered what Peeves had said last night about his relationship with Tom Riddle, and decided to talk to Dumbledore later.

Charles began to change the subject: "Granger, who is your dance partner?"

At this time, Dean Thomas let out a wail and took out a few copper coins and gave them to Neville and Ron.

Neville said with a smile: "I told you that even if Charles has lost his memory, he will take the initiative to care about who Hermione's dance partner is."

Hermione glanced at Neville, then said nonchalantly, "I've been invited, and I agreed."

Ron was happily pocketing money, and when he heard it, he immediately asked, "Who is it?"

Hermione replied: "Everyone will know on the day of the ball."

Charles asked Harry again: "Potter, who is your dance partner?"

"I invited Ginny," Harry said as he ate his fried eggs.

"What?!" Ron was shocked again and looked at Harry in disbelief.
