Days wandering around Hogwarts

Chapter 370 I didn’t take medicine this month
Charles stayed in St. Mungo's Hospital for almost a month. When he returned to Hogwarts, the extracurricular teaching activities for this school year had just ended, but the report still had to be written.
This is not a problem for him. He can just refer to other people's reports and write a review.
Classmate Harry was as enthusiastic as ever and helped him collect all the homework he had to do during his hospitalization.
After a few days of peace, Harry came to Charles' dormitory mysteriously and asked him in a low voice: "Do you feel that Professor Lupin is a little strange these two days?"
Charles thought about it and it seemed to be true. Lupin had been a little absent-minded these past two days.
"Who knows?" he said while playing the latest version of Magic Tetris. "The adult world is too complicated. You don't understand it yet."
"Tsk..." Harry said disdainfully, "As if you know everything."
The next day, after dinner, Charles was going to the greenhouse to process the accumulated data. Halfway there, he was pulled into a dark place by Harry, where Hermione and Ron were also.
"Look." Harry pointed to a bright light ahead, "That's Professor Lupin. He doesn't know where he's going."
It was already dark and the moon had not yet come out. Lupin used his wand to light the way out of the school.
Hermione continued, "The professor has been acting strangely these past few days, could it be related to what happened tonight?"
Harry nodded and said, "I think it's possible."
Ron looked uninterested in the matter and said helplessly, "Maybe he's going on a date."
Charles was inexplicably dragged to follow Lupin, and he was not interested. He echoed Ron and said, "Yes, according to the professor's age, normally the child should be in Hogwarts, so it's not strange to go on a date now."
"No!" Hermione discovered the problem, "He wasn't heading towards the school gate, nor the back door to Hogsmeade."
Harry felt the need to continue following, so he and Hermione crept ahead cautiously, while Charles and Ron followed behind eating potato chips.
"You two!" Hermione turned around and glared at the two guys who were crunching potato chips, "Stop being so loud."
Ron handed the bag of potato chips in his hand to Hermione: "Want some? Chicken drumstick flavor."
Charles said calmly, "Don't be so nervous. At worst, let Harry ask him tomorrow."
Then Harry whispered, "He's gone!"
The light in the distance had faded, and Lupin had disappeared.
Charles knew what was going on. Today was a full moon night, and the last place the light appeared was next to the Whomping Willow. Lupin was going to the Shrieking Shack.
But Lupin had been behaving quite normally for so long, so why did he seem a little absent-minded this month? Charles began to become curious as to whether something had happened.
Harry and Ron were a little afraid of the Whomping Willow. The tree usually looked fierce and aggressive, and occasionally a flying bird could be seen being beaten into a bloody mist by the branches.
But it was different tonight. The Whomping Willow looked like a beautiful girl raised in a boudoir, with thousands of green ribbons hanging down. She was weak and gentle.
Charles turned to look at Hermione, and it was obvious that the Whomping Willow had sensed her coming.
Harry found a hole next to the Whomping Willow and went in without saying a word. Hermione followed closely behind him, and Ron hesitated for a moment but finally followed.
Charles thought about it and turned around.
Sure enough, Dumbledore was watching with a smile in the darkness not far away.
"Professor Dumbledore, what a coincidence, you are also basking in the moon." Charles started playing dumb.
Dumbledore smiled and said to him, "Let's go. What happened tonight has something to do with you."
Charles was a little confused and didn't know what was going on tonight, but since the principal said so, he decided to go and watch the fun.
In the Shrieking Shack, Harry and his three companions were scratching their heads in embarrassment.
As soon as they came out of the cave, they were caught by Black. Soon Dumbledore followed from behind. "It's quite lively." Charles took out his drinks and snacks and placed them on the table. "Where's Professor Lupin?"
A group of people gathered around the table, but Lupin, who had arrived earlier, was nowhere to be seen.
Blake pointed to the doorway off the living room and said, "Remus is in there."
Charles looked at the kitchen door, was silent for a moment, and asked cautiously: "Did you stew him?"
Blake rolled her eyes at him.
Dumbledore said, "Remus has not taken his medicine this month."
Charles understood that this was a test for drug withdrawal reactions.
Dumbledore continued, "Others were afraid to do this project, fearing that the medicine would be useless if they stopped. Remus volunteered."
Ron didn't know that Lupin was a werewolf yet, so he asked in surprise, "Professor Lupin is sick?"
Blake nodded and said, "He was bitten by a werewolf when he was a child."
Ron and Hermione expressed surprise, and Harry then told them about Lupin's treatment.
Black said to Dumbledore: "I have heard that the Ministry of Magic intends to arrest Fenrir Greyback and his gang in the near future."
Dumbledore said with satisfaction: "It seems that the Ministry of Magic has done something useful for the last time."
Black said worriedly, "I know all about this. I'm sure Greyback will know it too."
"He's not someone who will just sit there and wait for his turn. I'm worried that he might do something."
Dumbledore frowned slightly.
Black continued, "I'm concerned that he might do something during Hogsmeade week to intimidate or threaten the Ministry."
Dumbledore nodded. It was indeed possible.
In the past, Hogsmeade Week at Hogwarts was random, and it was difficult for outsiders to determine the date.
It’s different now. With two weekends every month, everyone knows that if they want to do something bad, they can be more targeted in their timing.
At this moment the kitchen door opened and Lupin came out.
He did not turn into a werewolf, his face was paler than usual, and his eyes were a little dazed.
Blake immediately asked, "Remus, how do you feel?"
Instead of sitting down at the table, Lupin pulled a chair up to the kitchen door, sat down, and rubbed his head.
"My head is buzzing." He spoke in a hoarse voice, "I want to eat a medium-rare steak."
Dumbledore had already pulled out a list of questions to ask, and after writing down Lupin's first reaction, he said, "Remus, count to one hundred."
Lupin began to count, quite fast at first, but then gradually slowed down.
Dumbledore then asked him to recall what he had done today, and then yesterday and the day before yesterday.
Lupin was very clear about what he did today, even remembering what he had for breakfast, but things about the past two days were a bit confusing, as he mixed up yesterday's and the day before yesterday's classes.
It can be seen that the werewolf factor in his body has not been completely eliminated. Although he did not turn into a werewolf during the full moon, he was still affected and his mind was a little confused.
