Chapter 455 Riding the Dragon to the Death
"What?" Caslo turned around and looked at his dragon with a puzzled expression.
"Perhaps you should consider moving King Roland to a safer place, after all, this mountain range is no longer safe!" Kaldo shook his head; only he himself knew what the enraged golden dragon was capable of.
"..." Omsk and Kaslow exchanged a glance and saw the unease in each other's eyes.
"We can't stay here any longer, we have to go!" Caslo picked up Roland and tried to mount the dragon saddle.
"Cough cough!" Roland in his arms suddenly coughed a few times.
"Your Highness? That's wonderful!" Caslo exclaimed with delight.
"Omske! You take the others and follow, I'll take the king first!" Caslo took Roland's items into his spatial equipment without giving him a chance to refuse, and then the Storm Dragon flapped its wings and disappeared into the sky.
“Okay!” Omsk nodded. He knew what was important. Even if everyone here died, Roland’s life had to be ensured. If Roland died, the Lagrange bloodline would be cut off.
……
"Caslo...where am I?" Roland weakly opened his eyes. His fingertips felt a cold touch; it was Caslo's adamantite dragon armor.
"Your Highness, you were too reckless! You almost lost your life!" Caslo said with concern.
"I didn't expect I couldn't block that arrow..." Roland murmured, his mind a jumble of Morse code, his thoughts uttering nothing but beeps. The second time! The second time he'd almost been wiped out in one fell swoop... He hadn't yet recovered from the trauma of the troll spear attack, thinking that after equipping himself with the Grand Duke's Dragon Armor, no one should be able to hurt him...
To my utter surprise, it was actually possible to hit it, and not only that, it even hurt a little...
"Where are my equipment? Where is my dragon?" Roland frantically searched his body, wriggling around helplessly because the familiar items were not with him.
"Boom!" Caslo quickly maneuvered Kaldo to land on a hill, fearing that some big brother might be performing acrobatics in the air and end up in the Grim Reaper's grave.
"I've put the equipment away for you! As for Dos..." Caslo sighed. He didn't understand the dragon's situation either, but it had flown dozens of miles away now, so it should be fine.
"What's wrong with Doss?" Roland asked anxiously while fastening his armor. A golden dragon! A young one could be fooled... no! A contracted golden dragon is worth more than a divine artifact!
"Hey! It actually repaired itself!" Roland touched his chest. The unassuming Grand Duke Dragon Armor had unknowingly repaired itself. At this moment, the Grand Duke Dragon Armor, now as clean as new, showed no signs of having been attacked and almost breached.
“Epic equipment.” Caslo glanced at it and said calmly. Isn’t automatic durability repair a must-have feature of epic equipment? Equipment below epic level with self-repair ability is like the golden dragon of the equipment world. However, automatic repair ability is very common for epic equipment. Of course, the fact that the feature is very common does not mean that epic equipment is very common.
"Hmm!" Roland nodded. After all, Caslo and Ajax were now wearing epic sets after Roland used the equipment upgrade card, and they should have set effects.
"You need to be prepared to lose Doss!" Caslo said to Roland, though reluctant. Caslo then recounted what had happened after Doss fell unconscious. Roland swore on his friends' penises that he had never seen anything so outrageous in his life, let alone heard of it… a baby dragon transforming into an adult! What kind of plane is that?! If it were true, Roland said he could perform a handstand while washing his hair and a live-streamed chopping up of a dragon!
"By the way, where did Doss go after he turned into an adult?" Roland suddenly asked, startled.
"It seems he went to pick a fight with those tankers!" Caslo scratched his head, somewhat puzzled.
“It’s not wrong to seek bad luck, but isn’t this a bit too unlucky?” Roland nudged Caslo.
"What's wrong? Your Highness... Dragon God! What's that!" Caslo followed Roland's gaze and successfully saw the small sun rising dozens of miles away, but he guessed that the chariot people didn't feel as involved as the little sunflower mother's class.
"The Golden Holy Dragon's strongest dragon language forbidden spell - Dragon Taming and Death!" Roland swallowed hard. Although this was the first time he had seen such a magnificent forbidden spell in this world, he had seen it many times in the game before. If its power was real, Roland estimated that they would have to run even further.
"Damn it! The others are still behind!" Caslo suddenly froze. If it really was the Great Forbidden Spell Dragon Riding Death, then the others were not in a safe situation.
"Whoosh!" Just as the two were talking, a flash of white light appeared, and the small sun emitted a dazzling light. Roland and Caslo subconsciously closed their eyes. When they opened their eyes again, a huge shock wave was spreading rapidly, and a mushroom cloud was rising in the Iron Hills.
……
"By the Dragon God! Come and see!" Caslo stood there dumbfounded, unable to believe what he was seeing.
The skull of Iron Hill has been lifted... Half of Iron Hill has disappeared, and the caves dug by the dwarves in the mountains can now be seen on one side of the foothills.
“I hope Dain won’t kill me…” Roland murmured to himself.
"Mount: Dos (Golden Dragon), Juvenile Stage (Pseudo-Adult: 2 minutes remaining)." Roland then realized that he had somehow signed an equal contract with Dos.
But what's with that fake adult? After listening to Caslo's explanation, Roland had a guess: the problem must lie with the phantom images of Doss's parents. Those gold and silver figures were no match for their ID numbers.
Perhaps it was a gift from his parents, perhaps it was a backup plan from his dragon parents, or perhaps it was some kind of protective mechanism that needed to be triggered. The only thing that is certain is that while Doss's power is not sustained, its strength is already on par with that of an adult.
"Ahem! Your Highness!" Roland and Caslo waited for several hours before finally seeing the disheveled and exhausted Omske and his entourage.
"Roland, you idiot!" Verway plopped down on the ground. If he hadn't gotten into trouble, the dragon in his arms wouldn't have gone berserk, and if the dragon hadn't gone berserk, he wouldn't have been buried alive. So, based on the above, we can conclude that Roland's accident almost led to Verway being buried alive!
“Sigh…” Roland didn’t reply, but silently gazed at the eastern horizon. At this moment, Roland was uneasy. Although he had an equal dragon rider contract with Doss, that thing had limited restrictions on the free movement of knights and dragons. If Doss really planned to run away, Roland would have nothing to say. After all, the binding force of the equal contract was pitifully small. It was not a slave contract.
