Chapter 191: Ten Thousand Dragons Chanting
“Old friend…we can’t retreat now…” the knight in silver armor said weakly.
"This damned Middle-earth!" the wounded silver dragon sighed.
"I wonder where the Alliance army has advanced to..." said Dragoon Commander Osbayar anxiously.
"We just need to hold off those damned Ringwraiths!" the silver dragon roared. Of noble birth, he was originally unwilling to shed blood for humans, but his contracted partner, with whom he shared a deep bond, was a human knight. He had no choice but to join the battle, for the contract! For his brother who had shared life and death with him!
"We've already conquered most of Middle-earth, now all that's left is to go to Mordor and end that tyrant! He's a demon on par with Morgoth!" Osbayar could only cheer on his companions.
"Oh! Alright, my friend, I'm willing to fight for our friendship!" The enormous dragon rolled its eyes, and the silver dragon quipped, tilting its wings and sending a whooshing gust of air carrying it swooping down toward the ground.
"What are you going to do?" Osbayar was stunned; he didn't understand what his dragon was going to do.
"Let's find a town and fill our stomachs. I haven't eaten for months! Now I'm going to eat three whole roasted cows! Oh no! Five! I think you'll pay for it, right?" Silver Dragon said arrogantly.
"God! You can really eat!" Osbayar said helplessly, shrugging his shoulders as he sat on the dragon saddle.
"Of course, if you don't want to pay, I can pluck a few scales and pay for it myself!" the silver dragon said happily.
“Fine, I’ll pay for it!” Osbayar said decisively.
“Time flies… A hundred years have passed in the blink of an eye… You have become a fully grown silver dragon, and I have become a sixth-tier hero! We have spent our lives chasing after the footsteps of darkness and fighting against them. This time, I hope for peace in the world!” Osbayar recalled, his voice filled with vicissitudes and nostalgia.
"Yes! When I first met you and saved you, I knew you were destined to be my brother, my friend, my knight! Fate has bound us together!" The silver dragon, flying low, turned its massive head, its bright eyes filled with tenderness.
"Thank you for saving me from those thugs. It's a pity you came too late, otherwise our village wouldn't have been destroyed..." Osbayar's voice was calm, but everyone could hear the sorrow in it.
"Hey! Brother, promise me, after this battle, go and marry a woman. You should have a child by now, and then we'll go to Dragon Island! We'll live a peaceful life there... My people will welcome you! After a hundred years of fighting, you owe the human race nothing more." The silver dragon said solemnly.
“But I am still human after all…” Osbayar sighed.
……
"We're at River Valley Town now, let's go down!" Osbayar patted the silver dragon's back. Below, a simple little town flickered with dim lights; this was the former River Valley Kingdom...
"Alright!" The silver dragon's figure darted through the space, and in a flash, it appeared in the distant jungle.
"Let's go! Take me to eat something delicious!" The silver dragon transformed into a miniature silver dragon and quietly coiled around Osbayar's wrist.
“Hey! Buddy! You look just like a silver bracelet!” Osbayar waved his arms excitedly.
"If you keep swaying like that, I'll stomp on you!" the silver dragon said irritably, feeling dizzy from being shaken.
……
"God! You can really eat! You ate a whole 20 sheep!" Osbayar walked out of Valley Town with his satisfied silver dragon.
"Alright, my fault, but as my knight, shouldn't you feed me?" The silver dragon bared its snow-white teeth.
“Let’s go, we still have to go to Mordor. It’s time to end all this!” Osbayar’s eyes flashed with a cold light.
“I don’t think the orcs of Mordor are much stronger than the orcs of the North!” The silver dragon spewed a puff of white breath at Osbayar’s face.
"Roar!" A clear dragon's roar rang out, and the massive body of the silver dragon suddenly appeared. Osbayar grasped the reins on the saddle and mounted the dragon's back. ...
"After this battle, the world will be at peace! Our human race can rise again!" Osbayar's eyes gleamed.
"As you wish, my knight!" the silver dragon murmured.
"Crack!" Like a thunderclap from a clear sky, a fiery red figure lashed out at the silver dragon with a loud bang.
"Battle Demons? Impossible! They should all have died in the War of Wrath!" Osbayar's eyes widened in fury. He saw a full five Battle Demons! When did Cataclysmic-level magical beasts become so worthless? Five of them popping up like cabbages at once?
"Boom!" The Fiery Demon, who was holding aloft his flaming staff at the very back, suddenly slammed it down. A strange red light wrapped around the silver dragon. The silver dragon immediately sensed something was wrong and tried to teleport away from the battlefield, but unexpectedly, one of its legs was entangled by the red light...
"Damn it! Spatial confinement! They're coming for us!" Unable to escape, the silver dragon angrily turned around and raised its sharp claws. Five claws covered with spatial blades slashed heavily into the chest of the whip-wielding fire demon, bringing out a large spurt of blood like lava.
"Kill! For the glory of knights!" Osbayar's pupils instantly turned bloodshot, and he entered battle mode in a second.
"Get lost!" The 10-meter-long dragon spear fiercely lashed out, sending a massive fire demon flying, creating an unreal and shocking sensation.
"Die!" With the sound of the dragon spear piercing flesh, a fire demon's chest was mercilessly pierced by Osbayar.
"Roar!" The torrent of dragon breath mercilessly washed over the Flame Demon's body. Even the Flame Demon had to temporarily avoid the power of the spatial torrent.
"Find a way to break through space! We can't stay here any longer!" Osbayar's eyes were bloodshot. No one could withstand the attack of five fire demons at the same time, let alone the silver dragon whose ability to teleport was restricted.
"Crack!" The fire demons wielded their flaming whips, shattering even the dragon scales with high magic resistance, scattering silver dragon scale fragments all over the ground.
"Armor-piercing attribute!" Osbayar's expression changed instantly. A dragon without the powerful dragon scales for defense was definitely no match for the Flame Demon.
"Space-Shattering Mirror Annihilation!" The silver dragon roared in agony as it unleashed a forbidden spell of wide-area effect. Instantly, the space around it shattered like a mirror, and a fire demon that couldn't dodge in time was enveloped within the forbidden spell's range.
"Howl!" The Flame Demon roared, its battle aura surging forth to fiercely resist the cutting force of space.
"Boom!" A burst of blood mist as thick as magma exploded, and the lower half of the fire demon instantly turned into fragments. The powerful destructive force brought by the spatial rules was clearly revealed. This was the power of the rules!
"Die!" The sharp dragon spear pierced straight into the head of the severely wounded fire demon, and the fire demon's bright eyes instantly dimmed.
"A divine artifact!" The other fire demons all took a step back in fear. Only a divine artifact could instantly kill a fire demon with a powerful healing ability!
"Heh, your eyesight isn't bad. This spear is called 'Ten Thousand Dragons Chant'! A divine weapon of the Dragon Clan!" Osbayar's face was extremely ferocious.
"Leave them all for me today!" A surge of battle aura erupted from his body; the only dragon rider commander of the human race was ready to fight to the death.
"Roar!" Four long whips pierced through the air and slammed into the silver dragon's body, dragon scales flying and dragon blood spraying...
……
"This is too difficult! We can't break through at all!" The silver dragon, whose body was almost entirely devoid of healthy scales, whispered to his knight as the battle raged for nearly a day.
"Do we still have a chance to win?" Osbayar looked at the four fire demons, who were also badly wounded. Apart from the fire demon that was careless and killed at the beginning, the other fire demons kept a safe distance from the artifact in Osbayar's hand. The destructive power of the offensive artifact was extraordinary, because few mortal bodies could withstand the attack of divine power.
