Chapter 81 Extra Chapter 1: A Sign of Fate
Happy birthday to Husky, a fellow member of the group! Here's a bonus chapter for you.
————————Divider Line———————
"The horse... this absurd... after more than seventy years of experimentation, it has failed both theoretically and practically... history and facts have proven that it is a complete and utter scourge to humanity..."
"In order to rule Russia and the world, Stalin made it so that... wherever... civil war, famine and terror would occur."
"For this reason, we sincerely apologize in the Kremlin to the peoples and countries around the world who have been persecuted."
"We now solemnly declare that all organizations of the former Soviet Union are dissolved, and from this day forward, any activity of the former Soviet Union is illegal and subject to legal sanctions..."
On December 25, 1991, as Gorbachev's resignation speech as the last president was broadcast on television, this once vast and glorious red empire collapsed.
Flies, mosquitoes, and maggot-like capitalists and White bandits cheered and danced proudly on the hero's corpse.
Scott Lake—a well-dressed, gray-haired, resolute-faced gentleman, as thin as an unshakeable mountain—walked briskly through the numb crowd and tormented veterans to a library on the outskirts of Moscow.
The sounds of a drunken man yelling and a desperate woman arguing came from inside the library.
In each fireplace burned priceless research materials, simply to get through the cold winter.
Scott Lake walked towards the third floor, and as he neared the end of the corridor, he waved his wand, and a simple door suddenly appeared on the wall.
This is a room sealed off by bricks and tiles.
Scott strode into the room, and the door behind him disappeared, turning back into a thick brick wall.
The sealed room was not large, with no windows on the four walls, and only a huge, solitary wooden door standing in the very center of the room.
Scott approached the wooden door and tapped it with his wand in a rhythm of three long taps followed by two short taps.
"Squeak—" The wooden door slowly opened, revealing a magnificent and enormous conference room behind what should have been an empty wooden door.
Scott entered the conference room, removed his hat, and gave a slight bow to the empty head seat. His deep blue eyes swept across the entire room. There weren't many people in the conference room; including Scott, there were only five—a witch with straight black hair and deep blue eyes who looked to be in her twenties or thirties, sitting at the head of the table on the right.
A tall, thin wizard with short white hair and a goatee with small curls at the ends on his thin chin.
An old woman with silver-white hair neatly tied up, skin as dry as tree bark, but a straight back.
There was also a short, fat, bald man.
The entire conference room seemed to be built on a cliff overlooking the sea, with a vast expanse of blue ocean visible through the huge floor-to-ceiling windows.
But through another floor-to-ceiling window, one could see a dense forest.
There are also bustling commercial streets, castles built in barren wastelands, cabins high in the mountains, and caves in the desert...
And the floor-to-ceiling window behind Scott—
A magnificent library built on the outskirts of Moscow.
“No.” Scott Lake found a stool and sat down, saying firmly, “The sickle and hammer do not refer to it. The last prophecy left by Lord Grindelwald… the sickle and hammer surrounded by a pentagram… does not refer to the Soviet Union.”
Upon hearing Scott's words, the room fell into a deathly silence. The young witch nervously twirled the ends of her white hair with her fingers. Her dark blue eyes kept glancing at the old woman sitting opposite her, her back ramrod straight.
“Hasty has made another prophecy,” the old woman said. Contrary to her frail appearance, the old woman, who looked to be at least ninety years old, had a loud and confident voice, like a tireless fighter.
“Hmm…yes, I’ve made another prophecy.” The young witch, Hastihad, the most talented prophet currently existing at Durmstrang School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, said, biting her lip.
All eyes turned to the young witch seated at the head of the right side.
“The prophecy is vague…” Hastie said, “A burning golden cup… a shift in destiny… a certain death fleeing from it… a red star will rise… the hammer and sickle will appear…”
