Harry Potter and the Great Old Ones

Chapter 483 Exploring the Gods

Chapter 483 Exploring the Gods
The trade between the residents of Lengyuan and the caravans went smoothly.

During the transaction, Tiera didn't sense anything amiss.

The residents of Lengyuan did not bargain, did not attempt mind control, and did not even offer a pretentious, frightening grin.

The inhabitants of the Cold Plains acted rather hastily and casually during the transaction. After the deal was completed, they turned around and returned to the depths of the Cold Plains with their goods without looking back.

Tiera watched the sounds of the Cold Plains residents disappear into the distance, tilted her head as if she understood something, then shrugged and stopped paying attention.

Once they could no longer see the Cold Plains inhabitants and Cold Spiders, Tiera, along with the Golden Book Conference, headed towards the port.

"May the great Abyss King bless you." Tiera greeted him according to the customs of most humans in the Dreamlands, then drew an old seal on his chest with his right hand.

At this moment, the leading merchant had disembarked from the ship again, took the heavy bags of rubies from the sailors in charge of the transaction, and arranged for other laborers to carry the unwanted goods of the Cold Plains residents back to the ship.

Upon seeing Tierra and the others approaching, both the merchants and sailors tensed up and stopped what they were doing, watching them warily.

After Tiera finished greeting them, the caravan seemed to breathe a sigh of relief, but they remained vigilant.

“Good afternoon, brave merchants and strong sailors.” Tiera smiled and curtsied. “We come from a distant, unknown land, lost in this icy wilderness. Would you allow me to board your merchant ship and leave? Of course, we will offer you a satisfactory reward—”

As she spoke, Tiera extended her hands from the wide sleeves of her robe, holding two heavy gold nuggets in her hands—

The gold bearing the Federal Reserve logo is one of the many gold reserves that Chief Thunderbird took from the Federal Reserve's vaults.

Upon seeing the two gold bars in Tierra's hand, the leading merchant's eyes revealed a look of joy and a fleeting glint of greed.

The leading merchant took the gold nuggets, examined them carefully, and then handed two more gold bars to the sailor who had initially traded with the inhabitants of Lengyuan.

The sailor put on the comical metal helmet again and began to examine the two pieces of gold closely.

About a minute later, the sailor looked up and nodded to the merchant, seemingly confirming the authenticity of the gold.

The merchant was overjoyed and snatched the gold bars from the sailor's hand, excitedly rubbed them a few times, and then stuffed them into his pocket.

"May the great King of the Abyss bless you!" The merchant said with a smile after putting away the gold bars, then drew an old seal on his own chest. "Welcome, travelers from afar. We happen to have three rooms available, but..."

As he spoke, the merchant glanced at the group behind Tiera and continued, “But there are seven of you… Our rooms are small, all single rooms. Even if we have extra bedding, it can only sleep two people at most. One of you will probably have to squeeze in with our sailors. Heating equipment is quite expensive, and we haven’t installed it in any of the spare rooms. We’ll probably need at least six days to get out of this frigid sea.”

“Six people will be enough,” Tiera said with a smile. “Please take these elderly people to the port where humans live. I have some things to take care of here.”

The merchant paused for a moment, then looked Tiera up and down, giving him a knowing look before raising his head to call out to the sailors still on deck, instructing them to tidy up the three rooms and prepare some hot soup and food to entertain the travelers from afar.

The caravan seemed to have no intention of lingering there. After Dumbledore and the others boarded the ship, they quickly packed up, and less than five minutes later, the crimson merchant ship raised its sails and sailed into the distance. Tierra stood on the harbor, watching the merchant ship sail away until it was completely out of sight before turning his gaze away.

Immediately afterwards, Tiera's body began to writhe, like a viscous liquid.

Tiera reached out, pulled it into her body, and when she pulled it out again, two Game Boys appeared in her hands.

Tierra inserted the game cartridge and tested the various functions of the game console.

“That’s normal.” After playing for a while, Tierra put the two game consoles back.

After that, Tierra pulled a videotape projector and a diesel generator out of his body.

Tierra connected the power and started the videotape player. First, she inserted a romance film. After everything seemed normal, Tierra removed the tape and inserted an action film. After it played normally, she inserted an action-romance film. After watching for a while, Tierra removed the tape and then scanned everything into her body.

"Not bad." Tiera sorted through the numerous game consoles, game tapes, videotapes, videotape projectors, exquisite handicrafts, and various other artifacts representing modern human technological civilization that were placed inside her.

These are all things that Tierra bought near Hogwarts and in large supermarkets in London.

Tierra herself traveled from a world more than twenty years in the future. She might feel curiosity and nostalgia for the electronic products of this world, but she would certainly not find them novel.

These things inside Tiera were offerings that Tiera prepared to present to the gods of dreams.

Tiera returned to the Dreamlands hoping not only to trade for a sufficient amount of Sky Gold, Flowing Silver, and Pillar Copper from the Moon Beasts, but also to find Kadas, like Randolph Carter, and offer her sacrifices to the gods of the Dreamlands.

Of course, Tiera's motivation was not out of admiration for Kadas or reverence for the gods of dreams.

Tiera hoped to exchange these exquisite gifts from human civilization for something from the gods—

Pain, illusion, destruction, and objects blessed by deities possessing these three powers.

These are the three subordinate authorities that make up the authority of "annihilation".

Tiera's learning of the "Time" authority is progressing very smoothly. She only needs to conduct a few more experiments before she can completely master the "Time" authority.

After Tiera finished organizing the offerings she had made to the gods, she looked around at the white snowfield.

"Hehe..." Tiera chuckled happily, then transformed into a cloud of indistinguishable mist and drifted off in one direction.
