Chapter 45 Snape's Shock
Chapter 45 Snape's Shock
"This, this is the principle of Transfiguration for senior students!?" Percy exclaimed in surprise after taking the notebook.
"The principles of Transfiguration?" Hermione had also squeezed in the New Year, but Tyella's notes were just a bunch of dazzling symbols, formulas, and geometric figures.
“This shouldn’t be something you need to learn at your age. What do you want to see? Go to OWLs?” Percy asked sternly, assuming that Tiera and his two brothers had conspired to deliberately make things difficult for him with the very complex principles of Transfiguration.
Percy, who grew up with his two younger brothers and whose schooling was only a few years apart, developed PTSD from the mischievous boys.
“No, Prefect, I just want to make magical items,” Tierra said.
Tierra understood; he always learned by first studying theory and then conducting experiments, which was also the normal procedure in Chinese education.
Books like "The Principles of Potions" and "A Brief Introduction to Transfiguration" are typically read by senior students who have passed the OWLs exams and want to take their magical journey a step further.
Aside from a few wizards, such as the young Dumbledore, Grindelwald, Voldemort, and Snape, only Tyrell and Hermione would read these books at this age.
However, when Hogwarts left, they first practiced, practiced extensively to master the skills, and then... and then... and then they became proficient through practice.
Therefore, young wizards at Hogwarts, including some graduates, may never read these books in their entire lives, but even so, they can use Transfiguration very skillfully.
"Just focus on learning what you're capable of at your age, don't aim too high," Percy admonished sternly, seemingly stung by the magical item.
After saying that, Percy stormed off.
Tierra and Hermione looked at each other in bewilderment.
Hermione was a little confused as to why a perfectly good academic Q&A session had ended like this.
Tierra had a hunch, thinking of the Weasley's joke shop in the book, that the twins were probably starting to research their prank products now.
The initial exploration must not have gone smoothly, because Tiera just saw a look of deep hatred on Parsi's face.
Not long after Percy left, Harry and Ron arrived at the restaurant.
"Tiera, we'll be counting on you for Potions class later," Ron said.
“Even if you drink the calming potion,” Hermione said loudly, puffing out her head, “even with Tierra’s calming potion, Snape will still deduct points if you don’t perform well. So I suggest you take another look at Tierra’s potions notes right now.”
“Take another look at Tierra’s potions notes!” Ron repeated exaggeratedly, mimicking Hermione. “You’re talking as if you like Tierra.”
"You!" Hermione blushed slightly, then glared fiercely at Ron. "You're unreasonable!"
After saying that, Hermione slammed the book down and changed seats.
"She's completely unreasonable!" Ron said to Harry and Tyella after Hermione had walked away.
Harry nodded silently.
Tierra retorted, "Don't keep saying that about her."
"She... does tend to be a bit preachy and annoying, but her intentions are for your own good."
And she's going to be your wife, Tierra thought to herself.
However, Hermione's prediction came true.
After drinking the calming potion, Harry and Ron were indeed much more focused, and at least they didn't spill anything during Snape's Potions class.
But this still couldn't change their situation. Because in the eyes of Potions Master Snape, their operation was riddled with flaws.
Harry and Ron were still subjected to ridicule for the entire class.
Fortunately, Gryffindor only lost fifteen points in this lesson.
Moreover, thanks to the calming potion, Harry and Ron were able to overcome Snape's taunts and genuinely learn something from the lesson.
This eased Hermione's gloomy expression, which had been sullen all morning.
"Your classmates have all left. What are you doing here? Our genius Mr. Wu."
After everyone else had left, only Tiera remained, holding a red potion in a glass bottle.
After Snape discovered that Harry had helped him cheat, Snape's opinion of him took a sharp turn for the worse.
Tierra thinks Snape probably considers Tierra and the three deductions to be part of the new Raiders quartet.
This probably brought back some bad memories for him.
“Yes, Professor Snape,” Tyella said, feigning the air of a studious and inquisitive young wizard.
“This is, this is the calming potion I brewed, but for some reason, it’s different from the light purple described in the book… it’s a deep red, pungent potion. Could you please take a look at it for me?” Tiera handed over the glass bottle she had been holding with both hands.
"Hmph!" Snape scoffed. "Looks like our little wizard's genius wants to improve the potions himself!"
Despite saying this, Snape gestured for him to place the potion on the desk in front of him, then waved his wand and cast an unknown spell.
"Potion identification charm," Snape said. "On page 89 of *The Complete Guide to Potions*, you can do this yourself from now on..."
Snape suddenly opened his eyes wide halfway through his sentence, as if he had seen something incredible.
Although the potion identification spell works on potions, only the caster knows the specific result. If you want to show it, you can only add a flashback spell after casting the spell so that others can know.
After a moment of stunned silence, Snape cast another potion identification spell.
Not knowing what the outcome would be, Snape picked up the potion and went back to his own potion room.
This completely left Tiera standing there.
"This..." Tiera didn't know whether to leave or stay, so she could only stand there anxiously.
Tierra sent the potion to Snape for evaluation to verify her learning in potions, so that he could feel at ease taking the Hydra poison she was about to brew.
That's a derivative poison of the Blood Curse Orcs, and with Tiera's current strength, the Curse Worm might not be able to remove such a high-level curse from her body.
If anything goes wrong, it will be too late for him to regret it.
But Snape's reaction to this potion was unexpectedly strong.
According to Tierra's estimation, even if his improved potion was much stronger than the usual calming potion, it shouldn't have caused Snape to lose his composure like this.
Didn't he often experiment with improving potions when he was young?
Sorry everyone, the fourth update is late. There will be a fifth update soon, but it might be around 1 AM. Go to sleep now and check back tomorrow morning!
