Harry Potter and the Great Old Ones

Chapter 224 Zaun Little Elf

Chapter 224 Zaun Little Elf

“What poor old Kreacher saw? The spendthrift young master who disappeared for over a decade has returned, bringing back a filthy little mudblood to wreak havoc on my mistress’s house.” Kreacher’s voice was slow, his eyes filled with disdain. As he spoke, he bowed to Sirius, as if it were an instinct, but at the same time—

"Hmph!" Kreacher gave Tiera a disdainful snort, then immediately roared as if he had lost his parents:

“Oh… my poor mistress, my poor mistress! The great and noble Black family bloodline is extinguished… Waaah… Look, my mistress, what you feared has finally come to pass! Look at your unfilial son, he has finally brought back a man from outside! And a filthy, disgusting, despicable Mudblood at that! Although he had an affair with that little devil of the Potters before…”

"Shut up! Kreacher! Shut up!" Sirius roared, his face ashen.

“Yes…yes, young master. The young master told Kreacher to shut up, and Kreacher will obey. Kreacher was born into the noble Black family.” Kreacher said, bowing his head.

“Sorry,” Sirius said coldly. Although he was prepared to get rid of Tierra, he still felt embarrassed to be humiliated by his own house-elf in front of Tierra. “It has become a bit crazy because it hasn’t interacted with anyone for too long.”

“Young Master always likes to crack a little joke. Kreacher isn’t crazy. Kreacher was just really hoping Young Master would find a companion.” After saying this, Kreacher bowed to Tiera again, and then said in a very soft but clear voice:
“Kreacher smelled the Mudblood. If the poor mistress knew in the afterlife that her master had married such scum, what would she say to poor old Kreacher? Disgraceful! Ugh! Disgraceful! Ugh! Disgraceful…”

"Shut up, Kreacher!" Sirius shouted angrily. If it weren't for the possibility of needing Kreacher later, Sirius would have already kicked him.

"Hehe..." But Sirius heard Tyella chuckle softly.

"What are you laughing at?" Sirius asked curiously. A normal wizard would have already drawn their wand by now—

Oh...right, his wand is with me.

Sirius tucked his wand into his sleeve.

"Nothing, I just found it interesting," Tiera said casually, then climbed the stairs.

"Interesting?" Sirius asked, following behind Tiera, puzzled.

“Mr. Black.” Tierra stood on the fourth step, reached out and forcefully pulled down a worm-eaten, moldy curtain, revealing what was hidden behind it—

A portrait of a fierce-looking old woman.

The old woman let out a piercing scream, like a ghost, and waved her claw-like hands as if to grab Tyella's face.

"Who are you? Who are you? You beast, you slut! Get out of here! Who allowed you to enter my ancestral home? This is the Black family home!"

The old woman's face was terrifying and ferocious. Just as she was about to shout something again, Sirius Black rushed over—

“Shut up, you horrible old witch, shut up!” he roared, trying to pull the curtain back up.

"You, you!" The old woman's face turned deathly pale, her eyes wide with disbelief as she stared at Sirius Black, then her voice became even shrewder, "It's you, you good-for-nothing, the disgrace of the family, the wicked son I gave birth to! How dare you come back, you..."

"I told you, shut up!" Sirius roared, and with lightning speed, he shoved the curtain back over his head.

The screams ceased, followed by a lingering silence.

“Do you know what I saw, Mr. Black?” Tierra asked.

“What you see is my mother,” Sirius Black said.

“No, Mr. Black, no…” Tyella smiled, then said with a compassionate expression, “You only see the surface, I see it…”

"I saw a woman who was like a tragedy."

“Isn’t that right?” Sirius said sarcastically.

“No, Mr. Black. You don’t see the essence. No one is born evil, and no mother is born hating her child so much,” Tierra said. “Can you explain her evil, where does her hatred for her child come from?” “The pure-blood theory,” Sirius said almost without hesitation.

"Then where does the pure-blood theory come from?" Tierra asked again.

"Pureblood theory..." Sirius pondered for a moment—

“From…it seems to be from Slytherin,” Sirius said.

"Don't blame the ancients for the mistakes, Mr. Black," Tierra said, fully opening up his mental dimension. "I don't deny that Salazar Slytherin was a great wizard, but he was only a great wizard from over a thousand years ago. He didn't have that kind of foresight. He proposed the pure-blood theory only to prevent Muggle wizards who had been brainwashed by religion from entering schools and betraying wizarding society, thus causing irreparable consequences. Moreover, he was still a wizard who was responsible for his students and had a strong sense of justice."

"Then Mr. Black, can you tell me, in that situation, when the conflict between Muggles and wizards was at its most intense, would you have risked recruiting Muggle students who might have been brainwashed and whose minds were filled with fanatical religious beliefs?" Tierra countered.

"I..." Sirius thought for a moment, then answered sadly:

"I won't……"

Sirius's voice was extremely soft, as if he had said something shameful.

“Slytherin’s original purpose was not discrimination, but to maintain the stability and security of the entire wizarding world,” Tierra said. “Even Muggle-born wizards were considered to have unparalleled talent at the time, so why? Why has Slytherin’s extremely limited admissions strategy been touted and developed to this day by countless so-called pure-blood wizards?”

"Why...why?" Sirius asked.

“Your history of magic is better than mine, so tell me why,” Tierra said.

"I..." Sirius hesitated, unable to give a coherent answer.

"Discrimination against Muggles in the wizarding world has always existed and has persisted for a long time. As Lily's good friend and a leading figure in the last Wizarding War, Mr. Black, you must have thought about the reasons, right?" Tierra asked again.

"I...I don't know..." Blake said embarrassedly.

“We should learn something from our past, from our experiences, but look at you, Mr. Black,” Tierra said, feigning anguish. “You’ve been in Azkaban for twelve years, twelve years of just sitting there? Dwelling on your most painful past over and over again? Haven’t you ever thought about anything?”

Tierra stood on the stairs, looking down at Sirius—

"So you're still as reckless, as foolish and impulsive as ever, right? Twelve years in prison, twelve years of pain and depravity haven't made you grow at all, have they?"

A powerful mental force pressed down on Sirius Black.

"Twelve years ago, you changed the Secretkeeper without authorization, causing the deaths of Harry's parents. Twelve years later, are you going to kill Harry's best friend indiscriminately again?" Tierra asked with a smile. "Do you also want to get rid of me?"

Sirius's expression changed drastically in an instant, and in a panic, he raised his wand—
