If I break this oath, may I be subject to death by a thousand cuts and suffer in the deepest layer of hell for eternity."

As soon as he finished his sentence, the sky rumbled with thunder, signifying the sanction of the oath. He looked at Di Fuyi full of hope. "Will this placate your worries?"

Di Fuyi had a ghost of a smile on his face. "I will believe in you for this one time. However, you have imprisoned the new Lord by your own accord and poisoned her as well; punishment is still necessary."
