Did Horus and his Legion have any merit? Of course they did. But were his contributions sufficient to warrant his appointment as Warmaster? That's debatable. The Battle of Ullanor is known as Horus's Ascension, but was it Horus who won Ullanor? Clearly not! The Emperor won, and even by the standards of the Ullanor Ork Legions, they were certainly no match for the Randan xenos. The latter, however, were the ones who bested nine Legions, including the Daedric Emperor, three Primarchs, and 9 Space Marines. For the Randan to have enabled the Emperor to unleash the treasures of the Eternal Night Labyrinth was something he could boast about forever!

Although ordinary people in the Empire were unaware of the existence of such a terrifying alien, Horus certainly knew! Then, because he won the Battle of Ullanor with the Emperor's help, Horus became the Warmaster. In Balder's eyes, this was ridiculous and he was dissatisfied with the Emperor's favoritism.

Now, however, perhaps it was Guilliman's inexperience, but regardless, he accepted the mission. Since Guilliman wanted to give it a try, Balder naturally had no reason to refuse. The Endless Journey had already discovered the treasure he had left behind, and there, too, traces of the Randan alien had appeared. Overall, it was still within control. Letting Guilliman witness the horror of the Randan would only benefit him.

"In that case, let's not conduct simulations that have limited meaning. The fleet should rest immediately and conduct targeted professional training. Regardless of the outcome of this battle, for the sake of our friendship as we once fought side by side, I will provide the Ultramarine Legion with 300 sets of Centurion Terminators. If the Ultramarine Legion is willing to continue fighting alongside us in the future, the Iron Wolf can also be provided. At the same time, we will also equip the Legion with temporary Bear gunships and better equipment." said Bader.

"Alright, then let's complete our preparations quickly, and then we'll test our skills on the battlefield," Guilliman nodded. He was actually quite satisfied with the result. After all, judging by the battle that had just concluded, the Ultramarines had absolutely no chance of winning. Balder's proposal to halt the exercises was actually a concession to his reputation. And, well, Balder was truly generous, sending over 300 Centurion tanks straight away. It made Guilliman almost embarrassed.

"Actually, we all fight for the Empire. There's no need to be so polite," Guilliman said.

"Yet we are comrades. The Space Wolves are not in the habit of letting their comrades suffer," said Baldur.

Chapter 198 Preparation 1

"Are you really going there yourself?" Aboard the Splendor, the lead ship of the Splendor-class battleships, Baldur saw Guilliman and his heirs, fully armored. Compared to the Guilliman of later generations, clad in the Armor of Fate and wielding the Emperor's Sword, this Guilliman appeared smaller and younger, full of sunshine and energy. Before witnessing the darkness of the galaxy, Guilliman was a remarkably optimistic young man. His left hand wore a power gauntlet called the Hand of Domination, while his right rested on the short sword called the Sincerity.

"Of course, I have summoned my best sons and 1 Ultramarines. We are ready to face any enemy in the galaxy." Guilliman said confidently.

"1 men? Thank you very much for your help, sir." Baldur was slightly taken aback. He hadn't expected Guilliman to mobilize a full Chapter for this campaign. (During the Great Crusade, the Ultramarines were divided into Chapters, each typically consisting of 1 men, and the entire Ultramarines had 1 Chapters.) The Ultramarines of today weren't the same legionary Ultramarines of later generations. 22 men was the maximum Guilliman could muster on such a short notice.

"How many forces will the Space Wolves Legion mobilize?" asked Guilliman.

"3.5," Balder said. The total number of Space Wolves and other Legions accompanying Balder to Ultima this time was 1.5. The fleet aboard the Endless Journey also had 1 Space Wolves. Later, another 10000 Space Wolves and allies would join the fleet from other locations. This was arguably the Space Wolves' entire mobile force available for this direction, as Rus's fleet was engaged elsewhere. Rus's personal Space Wolves were even smaller than Balder's own. It could be argued that Rus had tightened his belt to support his ally.

"3.5 elite Space Wolves?" Guilliman's face changed when he heard the news. He had never expected the Space Wolves to gather so many legions just to recapture a single planet! An enemy that the Space Wolves took so seriously must be no pushover.

"Our two legions together have a total of 4.5 people, which is enough to destroy an alien race. In fact, since the beginning of the Great Crusade, I have not seen any alien race that can deal with nearly 5 Space Marines on a single planet. This is truly a powerful military force." Guilliman said seriously.

"But it may not be enough," said Baldur.

"4.5 Space Marines! More than 350 battleships, isn't that enough?" Guilliman said in surprise.

"Not enough." Baldur's face was sullen. A few days earlier, in a divination, he had predicted the participation of two legions, Guilliman and himself, plus a small number of DA. This prediction had depicted two artificial moons, shimmering with psychic energy, hovering high above a dead planet. Baldur immediately realized that his limited force was simply not enough! In this battle, Baldur was tasked with recovering what he had left on the target planet, so he couldn't directly participate in the battle initially. And relying solely on these two legions and the Endless Journey, facing two Randan battle moons... Baldur could only hope that this fleet could hold out until he could complete the recovery.

"So? You have other plans?" asked Guilliman.

"Yes, I sent a request to the Iron Hands Legion. Lord Ferrus responded to my request and said that the Iron Hands Legion and the Raven Guard Legion would provide no less than 3 reinforcements for this battle." Balder said.

"Shit..." Guilliman was shocked upon hearing the news. He really couldn't imagine that the relationship between the Space Wolves and the Iron Hands Legion would be so good. With just one communication, 30,000 Iron Hands arrived. Moreover, with so many legions in place, the possibility of Ferrus personally participating in the battle was very high.

"So, will I see another of my Primarch brothers in this battle?" asked Guilliman.

"Maybe two," Balder said. "Lord Krax of the Raven Guard might come too."

"Three Primarchs, three Glorious Queen-class battleships. I can't imagine what kind of power can stop our offensive." Guilliman's words were full of shock.

"So what if three Glorious Queens? Back then, when the DA attacked a War Moon, they also deployed three Glorious Queens, and one was lost. This time, if all three Glorious Queens make it back intact, we'll be lucky," Balder mused. To prevent the enemy from desperately bombing the planet, the Endless Journey would be lucky to contain one War Moon. The remaining three Glorious Queens and a host of warships would have to deal with another War Moon. Ugh, their long-range firepower wasn't going to work anyway. All they could do was see if the three Primarchs could pull off a miracle by boarding.

"Come, Lord Guilliman, bring your brother and let us take a look at this dark corner of the universe." After saying this, Balder took Guilliman into the main hangar of the Splendid-class battleship.

"This is..." As everyone entered, except Balder, they all felt a profound shock. It seemed as if this hangar concealed an unspeakable fear, and even Guilliman felt a throbbing in his heart. A split second later, Guilliman reacted and, following his instincts, looked towards the nearby area. A strangely shaped Titan, emitting a frightening psychic surge, lay entrenched like a giant beast, waiting to be awakened.

"What is that?" Guilliman asked in shock.

"Those are Psionic Titans. They burn the souls of psykers and are driven by them, projecting psychic energy as a means of attack. They're usually used against certain unnamed enemies. What you saw was quite good. Some Psionic Titans have already begun using Psionic Crystals. Otherwise, the repercussions left behind after the deaths of hundreds of thousands of psykers would be even more terrifying," Balder said calmly. Indeed, Balder had recently established connections with the Order of Doom during his meeting with the Sigillite, who had expressed their willingness to support a squad of Psionic Titans specifically to deal with Randan's Brain Eaters.

"How can there be such a vicious weapon in this world?" Guilliman did not hide his disgust for this weapon.

"To survive. Because the enemy has it, so must we," Baldur's response was uncharacteristically cold. "And believe me, with a machine like this, if it can guarantee us against any psychic interference from the enemy, it's already quite good." Baldur's next words slightly jarred Guilliman. It was also the truth, though, because, in the background, the Omen Titan Legion was engaged in the battle against Randan, though, to be fair, the results weren't very good...

"Okay, let's take a look around here. This is for the warriors: Psychic Suppression Equipment, which can suppress psychic energies within a small area." Baldur then led Guilliman to the other side. As a super-psychic subspecies, the Brain Eaters naturally had different ways for Baldur to deal with them. Using the Sisters of Silence was one method, while using psychic energy to counter psychic energy was another. A small number of the Sisters of Silence also participated in the Asian War, but they had special missions to perform, so they couldn't be dispersed to every squad. This left Baldur with no other option but to use another method to counter the Brain Eaters' mental control.

"Are there any other forbidden weapons?" asked Guilliman.

"Of course there are, psychic bacteriophage bombs, vortex torpedoes, and mind whippers. These will all appear." Balder spoke in the calmest tone of the absolutely taboo existence in the human arsenal.

"A vortex torpedo? It's said that when it detonates, it will shatter the veil between reality and the void, and the resulting rip in space will destroy all existence. Even a planet." Guilliman had to admit that he was somewhat ignorant. Of the weapons Balder had just mentioned, he had only heard of one.

These weapons do exist, but they're not here. Psionic Phage Bombs and Mind Flayers are in the arsenals of the Radiant Lord and the DA. Vortex Torpedoes, on the other hand, are quite common, being carried by both the Space Wolves and the Iron Hands fleets. The Radiant Splendor even has two in its internal arsenal...

"This time we may be facing a war machine as big as a satellite. Conventional firepower is no longer enough to destroy such a target. All this is necessary," Bader said.

"So, you are planning to use a volley of vortex torpedoes to get rid of this guy?" After hearing what Baldur said, Guilliman imagined Randan's war moon as a huge space station. This statement could not be considered wrong. After all, the battle moon was indeed an extra-large movable space station. However, it could not be considered completely correct, because if a simple volley of vortex torpedoes could get rid of the target, then in the original background, DA would not have sent a Glorious Queen as a sacrifice.

"If the target can be eliminated this way, that would be great." Balder had no experience fighting against Randan, so he could only make his assessment based on divination and intelligence. However, certain supernormal entities within Randan made it difficult for Balder to divine anything further without awakening his essence.

"Well, what do I need to do then?" asked Guilliman.

"When necessary, take the fleet to board the ship." Balder said after thinking for a while.

"Is that it?" Guilliman frowned.

"Really? With the fleet the Ultramarines currently possess, they can only resort to boarding in a battle of this magnitude," Balder sighed. A fleet of mediocre cruisers, using them to fight the Randan Grand Fleet and the Battle Moon, if not boarding, would they engage in a cannonade?

"I can bring the Imperial Navy's fleet." The fledgling Guilliman wanted to show himself.

"The race we are facing is not only a powerful psychic race, but also has deep attainments in technology. They can simulate the signals of our warships, cut off our communications, and even control our warships to fire at their own people. At least ordinary fleets will find it difficult to resist. Therefore, in order to avoid some unnecessary trouble, we will modify every warship participating in the battle. In order to reduce the possibility of something bad happening. And now, we only have a few warships that can be modified. So this battle is not about more the better." Bader said.

As a force of both psychic and technological prowess, the Randan's technological prowess also merited Balder's attention. While it's unclear how it compares to the current peak levels of the Mechanicum, it's certain that facing a standard Imperial fleet would be a straightforward battle. Therefore, after consulting with the Lord of Radiance and Ferrus, Balder formulated a "preventative plan" designed to ensure the control of his fleet to the greatest extent possible. Of course, due to a lack of information, cost, and time constraints, this plan could only mitigate enemy maneuvers, not eliminate them. Future refinements would be needed as more information becomes available. So, despite Guilliman's eagerness to participate in this battle, for the safety of the Space Wolves and the Ultramarines, the latter's fleet should be smaller.

"Come and take a look here." Balder then led Guilliman to another cabin, where a huge door structure was being built. This door structure was 70 meters high and 100 meters wide.

"What is this?" asked Guilliman.

"The portal, with the power of the psychic crystal and the operation of 70 rune priests, can open a portal leading to the target area. You just need to step over it and you will reach the other side." Balder said with a smile.

"I've heard that you once transported groups of Titans from high orbit to the surface of a planet. Did you use this technology to achieve this?" Guilliman asked with interest in addition to being shocked.

"No, if it were me, I could do everything you said without this device, but for some reason, I have more important things to do, so the task of opening the door was given to someone else," said Bader.

"Moreover, even with the assistance of technology and psychic power, opening the door is not so easy. The opponent's shield and psychic power will interfere. Therefore, we must first use certain means to weaken the opponent's shield before we can open the door. All Primarch flagships will be equipped with such a facility. The psychic Titans of the Order of Doom, ordinary Titans, as well as Primarchs and Legions will enter the target through this portal." Balder said.

Expecting to board the Moon directly from the boarding bay was unrealistic. Consider how the DA's Queen of Glory died—she was severely damaged by a Randan drone. Clearly, Randan's fighters and bombers were exceptionally powerful, and the fact that they could severely damage the Queen of Glory amidst the DA's vast fleet was enough to prove the point. A simple Terminator teleport would be a complete loss, so after careful consideration, aside from using the Queen of Glory for a kamikaze attack, the only option was to weaken the enemy's shields, opening a gap in their thick defenses, and then directly launch a portal.

Chapter 199 Preparation 2

"Anything else?" Guilliman had been shocked enough today. He really didn't expect that there would be so many horrible things inside such a battleship. Looking at his home planet outside the porthole, he felt a sense of sympathy.

"Of course there are others. Let me introduce you to Lord Nolan. He will be joining you in this battle with his guards," Baldur said, waving to another Radiant Lord avatar in the distance. Honestly, Baldur wouldn't dare throw Guilliman directly into the front lines of the Moon-bound war against the Randan. So, he'd specially equipped him with a high-end AI avatar and several Extinction Relics! Put simply, these unmodified Extinction Relics and the Radiant Lord avatar alone would be enough to defeat even the unawakened Primarch!

Of course, this kind of treatment wasn't exclusive to Guilliman; Ferrus and the Corvus King also deserved it. And if an unconquerable enemy truly emerged, Baldur and the Emperor would even intervene to pull them back...

"Welcome, Lord Nolan." Guilliman walked forward and said very friendly.

"It is an honor to serve you, esteemed Primarch," the Radiant Lord's clone responded with a dignified reciprocation, observing Guilliman. Having previously interacted with Perturabo, the Radiant Lord felt that the man before him seemed far less intuitive than his brother. The moment Perturabo laid eyes on his clone, he realized he was a machine lifeform, and a formidable one at that. And what would Guilliman say? Didn't the other party realize his uniqueness? This Primarch was a bit lacking.

"Perhaps Guilliman cannot realize that you are a robot, but he is also aware of your strength. However, unlike Perturabo, he can hide his emotions very well. And in some aspects, Guilliman looks at things from a kind perspective, unlike Perturabo, who has a persecution complex." Baldur's voice sounded in the ears of the Lord of Radiance.

"That's good. We can save ourselves a lot of trouble." The Lord of Glory responded, and it was obvious that their communication was not noticed by others.

After introducing the Lord of Radiance to Guilliman, the day's meeting concluded. Baldur's role for the Ultramarines in this battle was simply to provide support. The technological battle was left to Ferrus and the Mechanicus, while the psychic battle was handled by the Endless Journey and the Dark Angels. The Lord of Radiance provided the Primarchs with personal retainers and some of the firewalls. His true form was gradually recovering, and this was the maximum he could offer.

--------

"My lord, I feel that Lord Nolan's origin is very strange." After returning to the Glory of Macragge, the Primarch's guard Hill said with some concern.

"It's strange. I've never heard of such a powerful being in the Space Wolves Legion before. And when we met, my intuition told me that his ability was not inferior to mine. I don't want to know why the Space Wolves have such a terrifying person. As long as my father tells me that the Space Wolves are absolutely reliable, that's enough."

"And, judging by Lord Balder's preparations, perhaps I have underestimated the potential threat within the galaxy," Guilliman said. Some things, after all, cannot be truly understood without experience. And what about today's meeting? Although he hadn't yet seen the Randan xenos, the Space Wolves' preparations had already convinced Guilliman that this war would be anything but easy. "What exactly are the Randan xenos?" Guilliman pondered, feeling a surge of anticipation.

Besides Guilliman, Ferrus was also eagerly anticipating all of this. He was now delighted to have found an enemy who could prove his abilities! Ferrus longed to challenge a powerful foe, especially one that excelled in direct confrontation. This so-called Randan was right in Ferrus's favor!

Of course, there was another very important reason: Balder had handed him command, while Balder would handle some of the "technical work." This greatly satisfied Ferrus's vanity. So much so that Ferrus now felt he was lacking the necessary personnel... And just as Balder had expected, Ferrus had brought Clarks with him. Compared to Ferrus's hardline style, Clarks was more relaxed and easygoing. And since Clarks treated him well, he decided to follow him.

--------

"This time, our six legions will carry out the mission together. Although I have thought before that one day I would lead my brothers to become the pioneers of the empire, I am still a little surprised that this glorious and brilliant moment can come ahead of time. Especially, we will fight together with another brother who has just returned." Ferrus said with some conceit.

"Guilliman? I heard that before my father found him, he was already the ruler of a pocket empire." Clarks said thoughtfully.

"He's different from Horus. Balder spoke highly of him, calling him the most suitable candidate for the Imperium's future Chancellor. I trust my brother's judgment. In short, he won't be a difficult brother to get along with," Ferrus said. "Also, compared to us, the Ultramarines have just returned with their Primarch, so the number of men they can mobilize won't be very large. It all depends on us."

This time, the Iron Hands deployed 2.8 men and over 300 battleships, while the Raven Guard also dispatched over 5000 men and over 40 battleships. Ferrus saw that the two most elite legions of the Imperium, the Iron Hands and the Space Wolves, combined had over 5 men. Counting the other legions, that numbered over 8 Space Marines and over 700 battleships. With such a force, even facing a planet made entirely of iron, they could surely melt it with their firepower.

So, while Ferrus trusted Balder greatly and took this operation very seriously—after all, it was his first time leading six legions to eliminate the xenos—he didn't feel too much pressure. (Baldur also brought part of the Fourth and Twelfth Legions.)

"Just now, Lord Bader said in his communication that the First Legion will also send a small number of troops to participate," said Clarks.

"The First Legion? Interesting. This time, the elite are finally gathered together." Ferrus stroked his chin and fell into deep thought. Ferrus was still in awe of the First Legion. He remembered a joke that Russ and Balder had played on him: when the First Legion arrived, it meant that the Emperor no longer wanted to see them.

"Will they act alone or under my command?" asked Ferrus.

"There are less than 3000 people participating in the First Legion. They mainly carry out anti-psychic tasks, and they will cooperate with our actions. However, Lord Bader reminded us that it is best to listen carefully to the opinions of the First Legion." Clarks said.

"Okay, I know what to do," Ferrus nodded. "Now, let's all get moving! Dukain, report to me immediately on the progress of all preparations. I need the entire fleet in peak condition before facing my allies!" Ferrus said.

"I will follow your orders, my lord." Du Kain bowed and said.

"Krax, let's take another look at our plan. According to Balder, we will encounter two war machines comparable to asteroids in this battle. He calls them war moons. Balder said that the Space Wolves fleet can deal with one of them and its attached fleet, while we will join forces with the Ultramarines Legion to deal with the other one."

"The enemy possesses terrifying psychic powers and advanced technology. The Dark Angels and Space Wolves' Rune Priests will handle the psychic power, while we will handle the technological aspects. Guilliman, my brother has just returned. Although he brought 1 troops, I am not optimistic about the 13th Legion's previous mediocre performance. Therefore, we will have to rely on ourselves."

"My tactics are very simple. Our three Queen of Glory-class battleships will be at the forefront, serving as the core of the entire fleet. We will use our advanced technology, heavy armor, and perfect tactics to continuously consume the enemy's other warships, and after their numbers are reduced to a certain level, we will launch a boarding operation." Ferrus said.

"Okay, I'll fight alongside you, and perhaps with our newly returned brothers," Clarks said. "But is it really okay for Lord Balder, our strongest psychic, to be absent from this battle while busy with other matters?" Clarks expressed his doubts.

"Brother Balder said he wanted to recover an ancient relic, which is very important for future expeditions. If we can't do this, then we can only do a good job on the battlefield. Believe me, Clarks, my brother. Balder is a trustworthy brother and ally. He must have his reasons for doing this. And the Emperor also believes that we can fight this battle well." said Ferrus.

"Have you contacted your father?" Clarks said in surprise.

"Of course. How could I not discuss such an important military operation involving several legions and primarchs with my father? Father reminded us to deal seriously with this alien named Randan and provided us with additional help." Ferrus said.

"Extra help?" Clarks asked.

"Yes, from the ancient abominable intelligence and the knights of the Chamber of Attendants." Ferrus said meaningfully.

"Doesn't the Empire prohibit the development of AI?" Clarks was really surprised.

"These are modified and restricted killing machines. Father said they are trustworthy, so we can just treat them as sharp swords in our hands," Ferrus said. Although these Extinction Relics were provided by the Lord of Radiance, it was obvious that if these items came from the Space Wolves, it would definitely not be good. Therefore, some of the Extinction Relics were painted yellow and added with the Imperial Double-Headed Eagle, making them part of the Emperor's organization. They were then transferred to Ferrus. The Emperor still valued his descendants very much and was afraid that something might happen to them.

It can be said that the Emperor and the Traveler attached great importance to this Randan campaign. To recover the Traveler's lost possessions, the Randan aliens directly deployed two War Moons. The Randan aliens could only identify 13 War Moons in the background. This time, two War Moons were deployed. Balder's intention was to seize both War Moons by surprise, taking advantage of their unpreparedness. Capturing one would be even better.

For Ran Dan, War Moons and the Masterminds within them were extremely precious war resources, practically impossible to recreate for a while. They were the kind of thing where every one they took was a lost one. Before the Ran Dan aliens realized the power of humanity, destroying two War Moons was undoubtedly of immense strategic significance. After all, if all twelve War Moons were to be launched simultaneously, as depicted in the scenario, it would be incredibly difficult tactically. After all, 12 DA plus three Glorious Queens would barely take down one War Moon. How many Space Marines and Glorious Queens would it take to take down twelve War Moons? Forget about other tiers of warships; they wouldn't even be able to self-destruct upon impact!

Balder had already made up his mind. After he recovered the wretch, he would first work with the Endless Journey to take out one of them, leaving the other for the Primarchs to board. With three Primarchs, the Psionic Titans of the Order of Doom, and the Extinction Relics of the Lord of Radiance supporting them, they would surely be able to capture another War Moon, right?

----------

Just as Ferrus led his fleet to Macragge, the Dark Angels fleet commanded by Nemean and Asmodeus was also on its way to Macragge.

"We, the Space Wolves, and Lord Balder are truly destined to be together," Nemean said with some emotion. He recalled the moments he had spent with the Space Wolves a few years ago, when Russ had just returned to the Legion. To be honest, back then, the Space Wolves were undoubtedly the weakest of the weak, as far as Nemean and his fellow Dark Angels were concerned. But now, these men had grown to the point where even the Dark Angels had to respect them.

It's not that the average combat power of these Wolf Cub's is now comparable to that of Inner Circle Supermen, but rather that trade between Nemean's Order and the Space Wolves has become extremely important. Many of the Space Wolves' products are considered excellent even by the Dark Angels, and are extremely useful in war. Furthermore, by reselling them to other Orders, Nemean's Order can profit... Business, isn't it?

"Yes, the Space Wolves are actually very good war partners. Although they are a little unkempt, they are really excellent. And Lord Balder is even comparable to the Primarch." Asmodeus said with emotion.

"Two Primarchs in one legion? This is no joke." said Nimin.

"Don't worry, I won't say this again after our Primarch returns. I heard that our Primarch is about to return?" Asmodeus asked.

"Yes, Lord Urien said that the Emperor has found his eldest son. After this battle, we will be able to see our Primarch." Nemeen said.

"I'm really looking forward to it." Asmodeus said.

Chapter 200 "Big Brother" Ferrus

"Here they come!" At Mandeville Point in the Macragge System, Guilliman once again welcomed the arrival of his allies. This time, he greeted the formidable Xth Legion, considered one of the top three legions. Leading the legion were his two brothers. The Iron Hands' presence certainly didn't disappoint Guilliman. The vast fleet fully demonstrated their strength and tenacity. Compared to Balder, Ferrus's fleet was larger, with more capital ships. From afar, it resembled a moving steel fortress!

And how should I put it? The Iron Hands fleet was easily distinguishable from a regular Legion fleet by its appearance. The Iron Hands fleet had a higher proportion of capital ships, and each one was essentially equipped with long guns. In Balder's words, it was closer to a dreadnought layout, with fewer cannons mounted on the sides. Add to that the various complex, unidentified, high-tech equipment adorning the hulls. From afar, even Guilliman could sense the overwhelming pressure.

"Compared with the Iron Hands Legion's fleet, most of the warships in our legion seem so thin." Grod whispered to the Primarch.

After witnessing the strength of the Space Wolves fleet, Grod, who came from the Legion, was indeed a little dissatisfied with his own fleet's combination of mainly cruisers. As Balder said, no matter how good something is in other people's hands, it would be inconvenient if it is not in your own hands. The Imperial Navy has large battleships, while the Legion lacks large battleships. The result is that when the two sides cooperate, they have to spend a lot of extra energy to coordinate, and when the real fight comes, they may fail. In this case, it is better to give the Legion an all-round fleet.

"And the Imperial Navy warships assigned to the legion are not that powerful." Hill also spoke.

The Imperial Navy's warships were merely standard stock, prioritized by production volume and cost, with combat effectiveness taking a back seat. After all, the Imperial fleet often encountered relatively modest foes. Furthermore, the Adeptus Mechanicus also restricted the spread of certain technologies. Consequently, aside from legions like the Iron Hands, whose entire ranks were filled with tech geeks and had ample funds, few legions possessed the skills and resources to lavishly equip their fleets with cutting-edge technology.

"Well, you have a point." Guilliman's face stiffened. Clearly, he felt a bit uncomfortable after being shocked twice by friendly forces in such a short period of time. Everyone is vain, and the Primarch even more so. And as his two subordinates had said, the Ultramarines' fleet was inadequate! Furthermore, the Ultramarines didn't have the numerical advantage they could claim to have. Ultramar wasn't built in a day. Calth, Ultramar's largest shipyard, hadn't even begun construction yet!

Just as Guilliman was feeling somewhat ashamed of himself, Ferrus, already feeling like a big brother, was also observing the Ultramarines fleet in the distance. Looking at the neatly arranged, yet unremarkable fleet in the distance, Ferrus couldn't help but frown.

"Our new brother has no special features at all. His fleet is so ordinary. And lacking large warships, it feels like a piece of sparse bread. Our brother actually pinned his hopes for victory in the naval battle on a mortal fleet. This is irresponsible to his own legion. I believe I need to make him realize the problem."

"Look at the Space Wolves fleet next to us, and then look at the brand new Splendid-class battleships. The gap between the fleets of the Ultramarines and the Space Wolves is so obvious. Doesn't my brother feel ashamed? I am really disappointed with this newly returned brother." Ferrus said with a serious expression.
