When facing the Chaos Gods, Wa Banxian's performance was even worse than the Traveler, who was besieged by the Chaos Gods during the Dark Ages. Although the Traveler lacked divine domain at the time, he could escape! Moreover, the Traveler was already bound to humanity. Although humanity was severely damaged, thanks to its vast population and the human fleets that still struggled to navigate the starry sea, the Traveler was still able to gain a considerable amount of faith. Therefore, although the Traveler seemed weak, he was able to escape time and time again. Wa Banxian seemed to have everything, but he could not withstand a single failure.

"Khorne, Nurgle, I will make you pay!" Vashtor dragged his broken body, blood and plague all over his body. The black smoke and flames lingering on him gradually faded away, and his almost immortal metal body even began to turn into flesh and blood. This was the curse of Khorne and Nurgle.

Vashtor quickly flapped his broken wings and stabbed Khorne with the spikes on his wings, but the latter dodged it easily. Then Vashtor picked up the warhammer in his hand again and smashed it towards Nurgle. The huge impact made Nurgle's body shake, and the half-immortal was bounced away by the reaction force.

"He's already dying!" Khorne sneered. But when he saw where Wa Banxian had landed, he felt uneasy, because Wa Banxian was flying towards the location of the World Eaters.

"You coward, face me!" Khorne roared and rushed forward, but his movements were still too slow. Wa Banxian looked at the World Eaters Legion that was bound in place by divine power with a grin, and raised the war hammer in his hand high!

"Move! Move!" Angron saw the enemy approaching and tried to struggle, but he was still a step too slow. The hammer finally fell. The bad news was that Angron didn't dodge, but the good news was that he wasn't hit directly. Stuck by the hammer, Angron flew away like a kite without a line. The World Eaters who fell in the center of the hammer were instantly annihilated by the angry blow of the hammer! And Kahn was among them!

"You have killed my mortal champion." Khorne felt the death of Kharn, a complete death, a conceptual shattering that even Khorne could not resurrect.

"I will kill you!" Khorne lunged forward, tearing at V'Banxian's body like a furious hound, using teeth, claws, and any other weapon he could find. Two massive figures tore across the battlefield, shattering everything in their path. The factories and furnaces of the Dark Forge were crushed, and the sea of blood was vaporized. The scene was so chaotic that even Nurgle couldn't help!

The sharp blade in Khorne's hand pierced and sliced through the air, nearly cutting the already severely injured body of Vah Banxian in half. However, what Khorne didn't expect was that Vah Banxian didn't care about his lower body, but flapped his wings and rose into the air. After temporarily breaking free from Khorne, he flew into the distance. That was where Mortarion was.

"What's coming?" Mortarion, heartbroken, suddenly looked up. Ever since being brought to the Dark Forge Realm by Tzeentch's magic, Mortarion had been completely broken. Facing a battle beyond his imagination, he couldn't even muster the will to fight, and simply tried his best to find a place to hide. What could he do? At this moment, Mortarion was just a weak Primarch with no one to support him.

The mountainous upper body of Vashtor appeared before Mortarion. The Lord of Death stared in shock. He tried to resist, but a surge of power held him in place. He tried to call upon the gods for aid. In the moment of death, he prayed to Tzeentch, the Emperor, and even to Nurgle, the very being he had just battled, hoping for their help. Unfortunately, Vashtor was no Lord of Radiance. Even though Vashtor was about to fall, he was still strong enough to take Mortarion with him!

"Emperor, father!" Tzeentch did not answer Mortarion's prayer, for His avatar had fallen. Nurgle wanted to respond, but it was too late. In his final moments, Mortarion suddenly remembered his father, the Emperor who had saved him, helped him, and given him a legion. Reflecting on the past, Mortarion suddenly realized that there seemed to be no fundamental conflict between him and the Emperor. However, by the time Mortarion realized this, it was too late.

As Vashtor's hammer fell, Mortarion's body instantly turned into nothingness, followed by his soul. It must be said that the Primarch was indeed a treasure that combined the power of the Warp and the Emperor's genes. Even for Vashtor, it would be a bit troublesome to completely destroy it. Under the blow of Vashtor's hammer, Mortarion's personality and soul were also shattered, and the remaining indescribable residue was the essence of the Primarch.

"Nurgle, your Primarch is gone too. Are you happy?" A severely injured Vashtol grabbed the remaining Primarch's essence with his hands. "There's still some left, but I won't leave it to you!" Vashtol then threw the remaining Primarch's essence into the vastness of the Warp. Perhaps to specifically irritate Nurgle, he threw it in the direction the Gods of Order were heading.

"I will crush you and bury your body underground in Nurgle's garden to rot forever. I will throw your soul into my cauldron, where you will never be free." Nurgle's huge incarnation finally arrived and crashed into Vashtor. In anger, Nurgle tore off Vashtor's wings, and the big mouth on his abdomen devoured Vashtor's body, while his two hands kept beating and tearing each other.

Under the relentless onslaught, Wa Banxian truly had no strength to fight back. His hammer had been knocked away, and his body lay like a tattered sack. In the final moments, Wa Banxian ignited his own essence. His shattered godhead and power transformed into a destructive force, resonating with the remaining dark forging realm. The entire realm began to crumble, collapsing towards its origin.

"Nurgle, stay away, he is about to self-destruct!" Khorne warned.

Sensing the danger, Nurgle attempted to distance himself from Vash-Tor, moving his swollen body backward. But how could the Darkforged Demigod allow his enemy to escape? The decayed, shattered demigod's body grasped the Nurgle avatar with a fierce grip, its sharp iron limbs piercing Nurgle's rotten flesh. The bile and gastric juices within Nurgle attempted to dissolve these fragments. The authority of Darkforged creations and the authority of decay roiled and corroded Nurgle's body, causing even Nurgle's clones immense pain.

"Your power is inferior to mine, and I will be victorious in the end." Nurgle said, suppressing the pain.

"So what? I just want to leave you with a painful memory." Vashtor didn't care about Nurgle's attack. At this moment, He seemed to be ready to die with Nurgle's incarnation.

"You lunatic!" Nurgle finally felt the long-lost fear in this place. He began to retreat, gave up the attack, and tried his best to push away the guy lying on him.

Khorne, far away, was also hesitant. He wanted to aid Nurgle, but feared being implicated. Even more unsettling was the fact that the Gods of Order seemed to have reclaimed Tzeentch's lost authority and were on their way. And amidst Khorne's hesitation, Vashtor finally ignited his core. His body, his godhead and power, and his domain, at that moment, collapsed inward like a collapsing star.

This collapse wasn't just astronomical; it was also the destruction of authority and godhood. It was the release of his divine power in the most violent and destructive manner, the final venting and destruction of a senior demigod. Even Nurgle, known for his tough skin and flesh, couldn't endure such a powerful force.

In an instant, Nurgle's massive form was swallowed by the spherical black devastation, leaving only a single hand and a few tentacles. Endless destruction ravaged the demons and legions within. Those who failed to escape, save perhaps the incarnations of the gods, were reduced to nothingness.

"Khorne, help me!" Nurgle wailed. Khorne hesitated for a moment before lending a helping hand to Nurgle's avatar. Finally, when the Black Domain of Destruction was erased by the laws of the Warp and the real universe, half of Nurgle's body finally broke free.

Along with the explosion of Vashtor's body, some broken authority and remaining fragments of power were also shot into the endless subspace and real universe. As the saying goes, when a whale falls, all things come to life. The search for Vashtor's remaining legacy will continue for quite a long time.

"His backlash is weaker than I expected." Khorne said, looking at Nurgle's broken body.

"What do you mean?" Nurgle, who was left with only his body, said angrily.

"The fragment of Dragon Forest Star is gone, and this fragment was not affected by the field's self-detonation. This guy has escaped by surprise!" Khorne said viciously.

"This... was carelessness." It wasn't until Khorne pointed it out that Nurgle realized that he seemed to have been tricked by the Banxian V! Banxian V had indeed self-destructed, but this self-destruction was not suicide. He detonated his own godhead and domain, but at the same time, his soul, or rather, a large part of his soul, had already escaped to the fragments of the Dragon Forest Star with some of its core authority.

Chapter 453 Khorne Still Wants to Try (5K)

At the outset of the war, it was Nurgle who confronted Dragon Grove. After severely damaging Varbanxian's war planet, he simply tossed it out of his domain, leaving it behind. However, this gave Varbanxian an opportunity to escape. When Varbanxian's self-detonation severely damaged Nurgle's avatar and frightened Khorne, his soul had already fled with Dragon Grove. Now, the Gods of Order have arrived, and Khorne can no longer pursue him. This is a truly impressive escape!

"Damn it! My life power is gone too!" Nurgle carefully felt his broken body and realized that not only had he not gained anything, but he had actually lost a lot. Mortarion was killed, and his essence was spread everywhere. He didn't get the power of the half-immortal, and he even lost something.

"Let's go! The Gods of Order are on their way. If we hesitate any longer, we won't be able to leave!" Khorne sighed. He hadn't anticipated the battle unfolding this way. Not only had he failed to recover from the wrath of the Vulcan, but his own Chosen Champion, Khârn, had also been slain, and Angron had been wounded. And Nurgle had lost a Primarch and his authority. From the looks of it, he'd lost quite a bit, but he had the hidden tricks he'd prepared. There was still hope.

Thinking of this, the incarnation of Khorne took Nurgle away from the battlefield, and soon after, with the coming of the blue ocean, the gods of order came to the battlefield where a shocking battle had just ended.

"Is Vashtor dead?" the Emperor asked, looking at the battlefield in front of him that was filled with the aftermath of divine power.

"As a demigod, Vashtor is dead. He has lost his domain and destroyed his godhead. So there is nothing wrong with the death of the demigod Vashtor, but his soul and some of his core authority are still there. A ghost is still wandering in the warp and the physical universe." The Eldar Death God thought for a while and said.

"Can we find Him?" asked the Emperor.

"Not yet. We didn't join this battle, and we know too little about the situation on the battlefield. And after Vashtor self-destructed, the violent fluctuations of divine power temporarily interfered with my observation of fate." The Eldar Death God shook his head helplessly and said.

"And can Khorne and Nurgle find His remnant?" asked the Emperor.

"It's very likely. After all, they have fought before and their fates are intertwined." said the Eldar Death God.

"It seems this battle still needs a conclusion," the Emperor said grimly. "Hmm? What is the Traveler doing?" At this moment, the Emperor suddenly realized that the usually talkative Traveler hadn't been silent. When the Emperor saw the Traveler, he found that He was carefully searching the surroundings for items left behind by both sides of the battle, including but not limited to fragments of Nurgle's death knell, fragments of Vashtor's body and power, and fragments of the shattered godhead.

"You..." The emperor's face changed.

"What are you looking at? Pick it up quickly. There are not many opportunities like this. The last time I did this was when the Eldar gods fell." said the traveler.

"Uh, is that really okay?" The Emperor glanced at the Harlequin and the Eldar Death God beside him. The Eldar Death God was chatting with him, while the Harlequin seemed to be searching for the lost fragments of the God.

"There's nothing wrong with it. I did the same thing when my brothers and sisters fell." The Harlequin's face, painted with abstract oil paint, showed no expression, but his tone clearly made the Emperor feel embarrassed. "I'm doing this to honor my compatriots."

"Okay. If you are not active in eating, there is something wrong with your thinking." The Emperor took a deep breath, stabilized his expression that was about to collapse, and joined the team of pickers. After Khorne and Nurgle left, everyone cleaned the battlefield happily and harmoniously. As for what happened next, we will talk about it later!

----------

"I have decided to withdraw from this war," Nurgle said in despair, dragging his broken body deep within the Warp. Having lost his Chosen Primarch and most of his Legion, and having lost some of his power over life and death, Nurgle was already in a terrible state. He had suffered a severe blow both mentally and physically, and now he no longer wished to wade into this murky water. Anyone who wanted to come could come, but he wasn't coming!

"You can naturally choose to withdraw. This is your right. But I will continue to participate in this war. I will not withdraw until the last moment. This is my principle." Khorne said firmly.

"As you wish." Nurgle sighed.

"But I need your help," Khorne continued, looking at the terrified Nurgle. "I don't need you to enter the battlefield again. I simply hope you can provide some assistance. Vashtor should still have the power over your life, but having lost his godhood, he cannot effectively suppress this power. I need you to find him."

"So what if you find Him? Can you guarantee that you can kill Him before the God of Order? Can you guarantee that you can escape safely after obtaining His legacy? Give up, Khorne. Now that you use your divine power again, whether in the Warp or in the physical universe, you will not be able to escape the gaze of the Gods of Order. Now that fate has turned to the Emperor and the Traveler, why don't we return to our respective realms?"

"Think about Tzeentch and Slaanesh, our situation has improved a lot. The weakening of Tzeentch is our strengthening. There is no need for us to be so persistent in looking for things that do not belong to us. I ended up like this this time because I was greedy." Nurgle persuaded.

Nurgle reflected on his actions. Killing the Lord of Radiance certainly earned him the Traveler's wrath. But Nurgle believed the worst thing he could have done was to lend the power of death to Khorne, leading to his own loss of power and a deeper calamity. And now, he has lost even more.

"Times have changed, Nurgle, the Warp is no longer peaceful, and there is no future in standing still. Think about the bright side. Although Mortarion is dead, at least he did not fall into the hands of Tzeentch. And now, I understand your difficulties. Leave the rest to me. I will help you get back your lost authority, and the conditions I proposed before will not change. What do you think?" Khorne said solemnly.

At this moment, Nurgle suddenly felt in a trance that he could sense a sense of sincerity in Khorne's behavior... This startled Nurgle.

"Okay, I will help you find Vashtor, but I won't take care of anything else." Nurgle thought for a while and said.

"So be it." Khorne nodded in satisfaction.

"What exactly do you intend to do?" Nurgle asked after a moment's hesitation. He truly wanted to know why Khorne was still so confident. He had already lost 8% of his battle. Compared to the Gods of Order, the power of both sides was completely disproportionate.

To be honest, Nurgle didn't have high hopes for Khorne's plan, but he really wanted Khorne to succeed, and then use Khorne to take back what was his. As for how to repay Khorne's debt later? That's another question. If there's no other way, he can just acknowledge the big brother. After all, the Warp is no longer peaceful, and if he wants to survive, even a god must cling to the thigh and acknowledge the big brother.

"Well, I'll tell you," Khorne said with a smile. "Lorgar still possesses my divine power. He didn't fight to his full potential at the Battle of Calth, and I allowed this. You don't think he can steal my power without paying the price, do you?" Khorne laughed heartily at this.

"You are truly... clever." Nurgle had originally wanted to describe Khorne as insidious. The possessions of a superior aren't easily taken, especially when Lorgar lacks the protection of another superior. Put it this way: if Khorne so chooses, Lorgar's every move will be visible to him. He could even directly usurp the throne through divine power. After all, look at the background: when the Emperor possessed Guilliman, did he ask him anything? He didn't need to!

Not even mentioning a first-class deity like Khorne, even with Vorcinus, look at the background, those ominous arks he's sent out. Ultimate control has always been in Vorcinus's hands, and they serve as his teleportation anchor points. If anything goes wrong, he can just go there. In the Warhammer universe, a mortal trying to play tricks on a god would be a recipe for disaster.

Therefore, Khorne's plan was simple: using Lorgar as a tool, he would find the Vulcan and then possess or teleport to him, striking quickly and retreating quickly, escaping before the gods of order could react. As for whether Lorgar's body and soul could withstand Khorne's tyrannical power, or whether Lorgar's body would be shattered by the Vulcan at the last moment, Khorne had no concerns. After all, Lorgar was just a scoundrel.

"Lorgar, what a pity! This guy is disobedient. Otherwise, we could have kept him and used him." Nurgle sighed. In fact, Nurgle was very satisfied with Lorgar's abilities, but Lorgar had previously worshipped the Four Gods and later wanted to become a god himself. This chess piece was disobedient, so it was a bit troublesome.

At this time, on the ruined Dragon Forest Star, Wa Banxian, who had temporarily escaped the disaster, was also considering his future path. Well, calling him Wa Banxian might not be appropriate now, and calling him Wa Canhun is more appropriate.

At this point, Vashtor placed his remaining soul on the Dragon Forest Planet. Using his remaining divine power and authority, he transformed the shattered planet into a living metal creature. Overall, it resembled the original form of the Lord of Radiance, but was even more powerful.

Indeed, even at this point, as a former veteran demigod capable of bargaining with the Chaos God, Wa Banxian remained remarkably powerful. His weakness was only relative to the gods. To mortals, he could still proudly proclaim his might!

"Fortunately, everything is going according to plan." Vashtor finally breathed a sigh of relief as he gazed at the green crystal at the planet's core. After sacrificing his divine domain and godhood, he had obtained the fragment of the power of life he had longed for. It could be said that this was simply fate favoring him. After all, even if he had killed the incarnation of the god, he might not have been able to obtain the fragment of power. Now, he had only severely damaged the incarnation of Nurgle and obtained the fragment. This was already very lucky.

The fundamental reason why Vashtor did this was not greed, but necessity. On the one hand, although Wa Banxian had shattered his divine domain and divine nature like a hero, on the other hand, he still wanted to retain as much of his core authority as possible, such as casting, invention and knowledge.

These powers not only held power and future possibilities, but also served as the foundation for Vashtor's control over Dragon Forest Star. Without them, not only would he be unable to repair Dragon Forest Star in the future, but he wouldn't even be able to control the war planet away. After all, the creation of Dragon Forest Star itself was based on metaphysics, not science. Without the metaphysics, how could he control it?

However, having lost their godhead and domain, the price of retaining these powers is immense. Exercising these powers requires sacrificing one's very essence. Note that this essence is not simply the soul, much like the Primarchs' essence and soul are distinct. It is the source of a higher being. (In the background, the Emperor once stated that if He had the time, He would repair the 2nd and 11th. This suggests that even if a Primarch dies and their soul is gone, as long as the Warp essence that formed them remains, a new one can be created.)

In order to survive, Vashtor must obtain Nurgle's Life Power to ensure his essence can "live." As for whether Nurgle's Life Power is twisted or normal? Sorry, Vashtor can't comment on that right now. Simply put, if he obtains it, his future may be in jeopardy. If he doesn't, his best fate is to slowly fade away.

This time, Wa Banxian's luck was indeed good, at least on the surface. After all, he didn't have to die for the time being! But if you delve deeper, the situation becomes far less optimistic. After all, his fate was already headed towards death, and this trend remained unchanged. And just because he had gained some of the power of life, did that mean it was truly his? With no godhead, no domain, and even no complete body, how could he control Nurgle's lost power? Wa Banxian wasn't so naive!

All He did was actually just delaying, buying time for Him to make the next decision.

"Why not just surrender?" Wa Banxian thought about it again and again, and suddenly felt that being a dog for the Gods of Order was not unacceptable. After all, the Gods of Order only wanted his authority and obedience, not his life. But the Gods of Chaos might eat up his soul and essence together?

If before, when Wa Banxian contacted the Gods of Order, he had a bit of a sneaky intention, now he was truly considering surrendering. After surrendering, the Gods of Order would weaken their essence, even entering the endless cycle of reincarnation controlled by the God of Death for a few rounds, and then allowing the Emperor and the Traveler to place their marks on them. Using Nurgle's life authority as a greeting gift, Wa Banxian felt that if he surrendered, he would not lose his position as a duke or lord. No, he would not lose the treatment of a Primarch.

Now, the Traveler's creation is still sealed deep within the Dragon Forest Star. Once it is opened, the Traveler will definitely be able to feel it. And with the Traveler's power, it is really not difficult to bring down justice from the sky.

"If the Traveler and the Emperor are immoral, then..." However, when the time came, Wa Banxian still retreated. After all, if the Traveler knew his location, he would really have no trump cards at all. They could easily kill him and take away everything that belonged to him.

Entrust your life to the trustworthiness of the Gods of Order? The Traveler is trustworthy, of that, Va Banxian is certain, but the Emperor... Va Banxian expressed doubt about His credibility. And just as Va Banxian hesitated, the final participants in this drama, Horus and Lorgar, had already entered the scene!

That’s right, they had just entered. After all, the fight between the gods in front was not something that small fry like them could participate in.

"The incarnation of Tzeentch has been destroyed." Horus said to Lorgar beside him.

"Really?" Lorgar said in shock. Honestly, he hadn't expected the former most powerful evil god, the incarnation of Tzeentch, renowned for his cunning and erratic nature, to be defeated. After all, Tzeentch wasn't a piece of trash like Slaanesh. Of course, with Lorgar's status and abilities, he couldn't possibly know the details of this series of battles.

"It's true. I've lost most of the Lord of Change's blessings. His avatar has been destroyed. At least for the time being, He will not interfere," Horus sighed. Horus, too, couldn't determine the extent of the battle between the gods, but he could sense that the fall of the gods' avatars had weakened him.

Nurgle was honest enough. Although his avatars stopped causing trouble, he did not withdraw the power and blessings given to Horus. The same was true for Khorne. Horus's failure was inevitable, but the evil gods still wanted to complete the ritual.

"What about our prey? We don't know the situation of the gods or Vashtor. What should we do?" Horus asked with a frown.

"His situation should be very bad, because many demon engines in my legion were originally produced by his foundry. These demons signed contracts with Vashtor and were then bound to the machines. But not long ago, these contracts were torn up, and these demons returned to the warp. This is why I came to you. It's our turn. Our prey should be seriously injured, but still alive." Lorgar said.

"What about the gods? What about the Chaos Gods and the Order Gods, led by our father? What are their conditions? What if we enter the battlefield without permission and encounter them? Should we face the gods directly?" Horus asked anxiously. When the incarnations of the gods were able to walk the earth, they would not give Horus too much power. Only when an incarnation like Nurgle had decided not to leave home would they give Horus power.

But now Tzeentch and Slaanesh have withdrawn from the game. They have lost all the power that could be used in this war, which has directly destroyed half of Horus's power. Khorne has not let go either, so the power that Horus now possesses is not even a quarter of what the four gods originally promised. In this state, encountering the gods of order is just seeking death, isn't it?

Chapter 454: Lorgar's Fall

"We search for our prey now, then kill Him and seize His legacy. That way, we still have a chance to survive. If we retreat now, you don't think our father will let us go, do you?" Lorgar said darkly. "So, Horus, do you want a slow death or a desperate fight?"

"I, Horus, will never give up!" Horus said firmly. "But you must find the location of your prey."

"Of course, I'll take care of everything." A flash of scarlet suddenly appeared in Lorgar's eyes. The glaring color made Horus feel a sense of oppression.

"There's something wrong with Lorgar." Horus frowned. A sense of unease welled up in his heart. After seeing Lorgar off, Horus returned to his room and recalled every detail of his recent interactions with Lorgar.

After hesitating for a moment, Horus took out a box that was sealed with layers of seals from the secret room next door. He carefully removed the seals and then opened the box. Some dazzling crystals were scattered inside, emitting a breathtaking light, which made people fascinated by it. However, if you stare at it for a little longer, you may be contaminated by the power contained in it.

Gold and blue crystals are the embers of the power of the Emperor and the Traveler. They sear the souls of followers of the Chaos Gods, gaze upon red crystals and risk madness, while purple crystals of Slaanesh can lead to hedonism, and Nurgle's corrupts the life force, sickening the healthy and twisting the dead into zombies.

This was something Lorgar had given him, said to be the crystallization of divine power gathered from past wars. It held immense power, capable of easily slaying even Eternals. Lorgar had claimed it was a token of his sincerity. Horus had been delighted at the time, but now, the more he thought about it, the more he felt something was amiss.

In Horus's eyes, Lorgar was a despicable being who would do anything to achieve his own ends and gain. Horus never forgot how Lorgar had set him up to fall into the hands of the Chaos Gods. The Horus of this dimension knew far more than the Horus of the background. After witnessing the great war between the gods' avatars, Horus no longer believed he could control Chaos and harness their power for his own benefit.

So why would Lorgar be willing to give him what he considered his trump card? There were only two reasons: one was that Lorgar needed him as cannon fodder, and the other was that Lorgar was already powerful enough to defeat Vashtor without these things. Either way, it wasn't good news for Horus.

As for the agreement Lorgar had reached with him? Sorry, Horus never believed it, because Lorgar's credibility was too poor. Every word he said was full of vicious lies. Both parties were just using each other, nothing more!

Besides this somewhat unclear logical problem, Lorgar's personality has become irritable and violent, a stark contrast to his previous godlike persona. Furthermore, Lorgar is also purging the fleet of followers of Slaanesh and Tzeentch. If Lorgar previously treated the Chaos Gods with some degree of affinity, but at least superficially treated them all equally, now things seem to be falling apart. This is a stark contrast to Lorgar's previous behavior.

"What is the reason?" Horus frowned. "Does Lorgar really think that just a little bit of Khorne's power can solve all problems?"

"Wait, the power of Khorne?" A light bulb went off in his head, and Horus felt that he seemed to have grasped some information. A terrible thought came to his mind.

"Damn it! In the eyes of these guys, we might just be puppets!" Horus said angrily. Just as Horus realized the truth, Lorgar's time was running out.

------------

"Khorne, why are you here?" When Lorgar opened his eyes, he found himself trapped in a brass hall engulfed in flames. A blood-red figure sat on a throne, gazing at him with interest. This wasn't reality, but a projection of his own mind.

"It's just some interest. Lorgar, you don't think that some things are yours just because you take them, do you?" Khorne said jokingly.

"I have fulfilled my duty!" Lorgar exclaimed.

"Whether you have fulfilled your obligations is not up to you, but me. If I say you haven't completed it, then you haven't completed it. And now I want to take back what belongs to me, and then get some interest." Khorne smiled happily.

"Alright, I don't want the power anymore, you can take it." Lorgar chose to give in. "If you want interest, I can give you part of the legion."

"You give it to me? Do I need you to give it to me?" Khorne sneered from his throne. "Everything you have is mine. Your soul, body, and legion are all mine!"

"Nurgle feels sorry for you and thinks that if you are willing to surrender, then he might give you the status of God's Chosen One. But I won't give it to you because I know very well that guys like you have no bottom line at all. If the demons belonging to us can guarantee respect and obedience to the Lord, then you don't even have that. So, what use do I have for you?" Khorne sneered.

"Khorne, you bastard..." Lorgar roared angrily. Meanwhile, Khorne had already stepped down from his throne, ready to reap Lorgar's soul. This body still held some use for the time being; Khorne needed it to control the entire Word Bearers Legion. But at that moment, a crack appeared in the floor of the Brass Palace, rapidly widening. The distance between them widened, and Lorgar vanished from the spot.

"The Jester's remaining power?" Khorne snorted. "But so what? It's just a few minutes of delay. Lorgar won't have time to inform his legions." Khorne shrugged.

----------

"Lorgar, today, you finally saw the darkness of the Chaos Gods, didn't you? They are a pack of ruthless cannibals," the Laughing God said with mixed feelings. As Khorne had said, the Harlequin, using the portion of his power hidden within Lorgar, could only delay Khorne for a few minutes, and he himself was unable to deliver the message. Lorgar's fate was sealed; even if he were to return to the Emperor's service, the Emperor could not save him.
