"Aren't you afraid of being discovered by the evil god?" the emperor asked.

"Of course I was scared, so I conducted an experiment. During a battle, I used my divine power to injure a great demon and left a seed in his body. I made slight modifications to his essence. Who do you think this great demon was?"

"Could it be Slaanesh?" said the Emperor.

"Yes, it's the Great Demon of Slaanesh. To be more precise, I modified Xarathi. The Demonic Scourge. This was an experiment. I wanted to see if Slaanesh would notice my modification. However, it turns out that they didn't seem to notice."

"As you said, Slaanesh represents two sides. One side is the pursuit of excellence and skill, and the other side is debauchery and corruption. As for me, the modification I made to Scourge is to cut off his corrupted side. I made him a great demon who pursues excellence and skill, a hardworking great demon, a great demon who has broken away from vulgar interests. However, this removal obviously did not attract the attention of Slaanesh. On the contrary, because Scourge is more efficient in doing things, he is very fond of this great demon." The traveler said leisurely.

"So what then?" The emperor's face showed a rare seriousness.

"Then? This plan didn't continue because I didn't have to worry about demonic possession later. But now, this plan seems to have taken a new turn, and I'm interested in demonic disasters again."

"A diligent and outstanding great demon eventually came into serious conflict with the debauched and decadent side of Slaanesh. Slaanesh, on the other hand, is arrogant and capricious. The mark I left behind allowed Scourge to resist Slaanesh to a certain extent. But just now, we completely isolated Slaanesh's perception of this battlefield, which gave Scourge his own ideas. An idea of breaking away from Slaanesh. Because Slaanesh cannot protect them and is too cruel. And how can we say Scourge? Because he is also a derivative of an extreme personality, it is easy for him to do things on a whim." said the traveler.

"The Great Demons are fragments of the evil god's power. How could they possibly rebel against their master?" The Emperor was completely shocked by the Traveler's outrageous actions. He didn't expect that the Traveler actually wanted to poach the evil god's people!

"Skarbrand once attacked Khorne, and Carlos often acted insincerely towards Tzeentch. You know very well what the nature of the Primarchs is. You are their genetic father, and part of their power comes from you. Some of them will betray you. As long as I use the right means, what's wrong with poaching them?" the traveler asked in return.

"I understand. When you stabbed the Demonic Scourge, his essence was already impure," the Emperor said meaningfully. Inwardly, he felt that compared to the Traveler's ruthless behavior, the demons were still kind.

Slaanesh is a special case. If we look at it purely in terms of power, it's possible for a deity to be unable to detect the plots of the other deities. For example, Khorne didn't realize Skarbrand had been seduced by Tzeentch. While the Traveler's abilities weren't great at the time, Slaanesh simply wasn't doing his job.

If Khorne's mind is focused on acquiring more skulls and expanding the war, Tzeentch's thoughts are about plotting and collecting the fragments of his crystal scepter. Nurgle's thoughts are about making a daily pot of soup. And what does Slaanesh think about? Seeking daily excitement?! Just look at how degraded Fulgrim and the Emperor's Children have become in the background. So, there's a reason the Traveler is so focused on Slaanesh: this evil god is truly unreliable.

"You are a great demon with great aspirations and talents. You are really capable of making things happen." The emperor praised.

"Well, let's see the clash between the Raven King and the Scourge. Honestly, I think in a fair fight, the Raven King doesn't have a high chance of winning," the Traveler said after a pause. "But it's time to reap the rewards. Maybe this time we can finally pry a piece of Slaanesh off of him."

"Are you planning to capture a demon?" the Emperor said in surprise.

"As long as the Demonic Disaster doesn't cause trouble for humans and the elves, I don't care whether he follows us or not. Maybe what the Demonic Disaster wants most now is freedom. Who knows, this is a very good sample that we can continue to observe." The traveler said with a smile.

"Will the Demonic Disaster become an existence similar to Bilak?" asked the Emperor.

"Who knows? But if this happens, the Chaos Gods will be less confident in their minions, right?" The Traveler sneered. After all, if the Traveler can try to poach the Chaos God's minions, then the Chaos God might also consider poaching other minions. Intelligent creatures might rebel, and now, the demons might rebel too! If nothing else, this will at least make the already chaotic Chaos Gods even more chaotic!

"This is a good drama, let's continue watching." The traveler said. At this time, the battle between the Crow King and the Demonic Disaster was underway!

--------

"Come again, Raven Lord." He blocked Corax's lightning claws with his shield and parried his three-headed power whip with his spear, then distanced himself from the enemy once again. The Scourge looked at the Primarch with a complicated expression. Although the previous battle had been fierce, with both sides wounded, the Scourge now felt more relaxed than ever. Slaanesh's control had been eliminated by the Gods of Order, or rather, their attention was no longer on him.

"You are doomed to lose. The rebels and filthy things like you will be eliminated sooner or later." Corax said a little anxiously. He didn't expect that the demon in front of him would be so difficult to deal with.

The two sides had been fighting for a long time, the battle between the two powerful warriors leaving no one else to intervene. Now, both sides had reached a location far from the main battlefield. The Raven Lord had received news that his army was advancing rapidly. He could now focus his main attention on dealing with the demonic scourge.

"Sometimes, I envy you." Scourge used his claws to push back Corax's renewed charge. "You have a good father. Although many of your brothers call him a tyrant and consider him a tool of the Emperor, he truly treats you like his own children." As a great demon who had once defeated Skarbrand, Scourge's skill in close combat was unparalleled. If he didn't want to lose, then the Primarch before him would find it extremely difficult to win.

(For comparison, Skarbrand was exiled by Guilliman, but strictly speaking, Guilliman was lucky enough to save him. With the continuous sacrifices and efforts of the Legion of the Damned and the DA Grand Marshal, Guilliman fired a cannon to shatter the black sword stuck in the latter's chest and finally captured Skarbrand.)

"I'm surprised a demon would say such a thing," Corax sneered.

"Haha, let's make a deal. I want to live a different life." The Demon Scourge once again distanced himself and used his psychic power to force the Crow King back. "The Supremes and you want to reclaim Fulgrim, and I am willing to help."

Hearing this, the Raven Lord felt confused. Somehow, his perception told him that the demon seemed to be telling the truth. But at the same time, his past experience and knowledge told him that the demon was not trustworthy.

"Perhaps after you are completely destroyed, if you still have an afterlife, I will consider your thoughts." said the Crow King.

"I understand your suspicions. Let's wait and see. We'll meet again in the future." The Demonic Disaster feinted a shot before retreating from the battlefield, no longer interested in tangling with Corax. He had more important things to do, like figuring out whether he was still the same person.

When Slaanesh's control over Scourge began to falter, during this rare moment of complete independence, Scourge finally remembered what had happened during his battle with the Traveler. He also felt the impact of the Traveler's attack on his essence. Simply put, after thousands of years of erosion and transformation by the Traveler's divine power, Scourge was no longer a complete Slaanesh demon, but a hybrid.

Theoretically, the Scourge could seek out Slaanesh and have him purify the Traveler's power. However, once Slaanesh learns of this, it's unclear whether he will help the Scourge purify the Traveler's power or simply destroy it in a rage. The Emperor could tell the fallen Mortarion that he might be redeemed in the future. That's because the Emperor is the father of the poison tank! Slaanesh doesn't consider the Scourge his own son. Furthermore, the Scourge is very resistant to returning to Slaanesh's embrace.

"Slaanesh, shame on you!" Malphite spat. Having been subtly influenced by the Traveler's divine power for millennia, Malphite's worldview had been slowly reshaped. The fact that he'd given up pleasure to focus on perfecting his craft was already incredibly un-Slaanesh!

Now, recalling Slaanesh's actions and his disgraceful performance in the previous series of battles, the Scourge himself felt a little embarrassed. After all, Scourge had defeated Skarbrand, one of Khorne's most powerful daemons. And what about Slaanesh? He was taken down by the Traveler on the first day of the war. Not only did he lose his avatar, but even his true form was severely damaged. A classic example of being both a wimp and a playful person! Then think about how Slaanesh treated him. He fought hard out there. If he did well, the rewards he received might be less than those of the little goblins in front of Slaanesh. If he didn't do well, he could be imprisoned for 600 years. What a torture!

"How about trying a different sect?" This thought suddenly occurred to Mozai. He was initially shocked by his own idea, but then he felt that this idea was too exciting! For Mozai, Slaanesh was not a qualified boss. Other gods could also be bosses!

----------

"You are really amazing. You won't really accept the surrender of a Slaanesh Great Daemon, will you? Can the Eldar gods accept it?" The Emperor said to the Traveler. Slaanesh can sense what the Scourge is thinking. So when Slaanesh's perception is cut off and the Traveler has taken measures before, the Traveler and the Emperor will naturally know what the Scourge is thinking.

"It's not a big deal. I've discussed this with the Eldar gods. Many Slaanesh Daemons are actually the souls of the fallen Eldar. You wouldn't think the Dark Eldar's dark deeds are only directed at other civilizations, not other Eldar, would you? It's a common problem among intelligent civilizations: infighting." The Traveler smiled and said, "Of course, the Eldar gods have their own ideas about Slaanesh Daemons, such as allowing them to go through the endless cycle of reincarnation first."

"The Eldar gods are truly indifferent to life and death." The Emperor said with some surprise. The Eldar gods are weak.

Neither the Harlequin nor the Death God could compare in strength to the Emperor and the Traveler. One of the most obvious issues was that even the Emperor and the Traveler had their own vast arsenal of "Warp Servants." But the Eldar gods did not. This was awkward. In the background, only the Death God had an avatar, but the Harlequin did not. So, in this situation, the Eldar decided to try a different approach.

Chapter 401: An unexpected gain and Alpharius's loyalty (8K)

"So you're not the only one planning to undermine Slaanesh," the Emperor said thoughtfully. You know what? Demons are actually quite useful. Losing them isn't such a big deal. After all, in most cases, they can be recycled and recreated. And while this helps preserve as many precious and powerful souls as possible, it also helps satisfy the desire for immortality for some beings.

The existence of this Warp facilitates the gods' work and attracts many believers. It's not enough for ordinary believers to aspire to become "Demons." Just look at those Chaos followers; how many have their ultimate goal of becoming a Demon Prince? How many succeed? Most die, and the rest become Chaos Spawns. And within the Empire, too many aspire to become living saints!

"So, Emperor, sometimes you need to think more broadly." The Traveler gestured with his hand. Of course, the Eldar gods had taken precautions, such as traveling through the endless cycle of death itself, specifically eliminating any traces of Slaanesh. Then, they would bear their own mark, emerging as brand-new "Eldar demons." Of course, the success of this elimination also depended on the target's cooperation and willingness. This directly impacted the effectiveness of both elimination and transformation. After all, even the transformation of a Primarch by a Cult God depended on their willingness. And even more so, transforming a demon. And in this case, the Scourge proved to be a perfect guinea pig.

So, the situation now is, let's experiment with the Demonic Scourge. If it succeeds, the Gods of Order will consider how to divide up the future demons of the Warp... If the Four Gods' demons are difficult to pry open, we can start with non-demonic creatures or unmastered demons, using demons to fight demons! The demons in the Demonic Inquisition Hall in the background also make sense. After all, sometimes these things are really useful.

However, just as the Emperor and the Traveler pondered the philosophical question of "If the evil gods can use demons, why can't I?", a tremor from the Warp alerted the two gods. A powerful wave, imbued with divine power, emanated from the depths of the Warp. It carried the aura of Slaanesh, yet it wasn't entirely Slaanesh! Something surged into the real universe like a prehistoric beast. Undoubtedly, Slaanesh had taken action, but not personally!

"It's a shame, but for Fulgrim, I must pay this price," Slaanesh said with some emotion as he looked at the iron felt he had thrown. Slaanesh's final solution was to throw away something he had received from the Eldar gods, something he had corrupted but not fully controlled, to break the barrier set by the Eldar Death Army. This time, he threw the iron felt that had once been in the hands of Vaul, the God of the Forge!

When this artifact, once the God of Forge's terror, appeared in the real universe, the aura of tyranny, resentment, and unwillingness emanating from it, coupled with Slaanesh's unique stance on attacking the Eldar, instantly brought a considerable number of Eldar to the brink of mental collapse. This was no ordinary artifact, imbued with a complex aura and past. A planet-sized object suddenly appeared, and like a cannonball, it slammed into the Eldar Craftworld, the centerpiece of the formation.

Countless weapons were fired at the huge artifact, but even the heavy artillery on the Ark that could shatter stars could not cause any damage to this defiled artifact.

"Help us, gods of men!" The Harlequin's voice echoed in the traveler's ears, his words filled with a rare sense of fear and anxiety. At this moment, he was truly terrified. To inflict the greatest possible blow on Slaanesh, the Eldar gods had concentrated nearly all of their most elite forces and a powerful Craftworld. If this strike landed firmly, the Ark would be lost.

"Can't the Eldar gods handle it themselves?" the Emperor said with some surprise.

"The Harlequin isn't strong enough. Furthermore, this iron felt is no ordinary object. Countless Eldar artifacts were once forged upon it, including the sword Vaal used to battle the War God Khaine. After his defeat, Vaal was wounded by Khaine and chained to this iron felt. This iron felt holds Vaal's deep resentment and unwillingness, and, furthermore, it's infected by the power of Slaanesh. It has a very potent special attack effect against the Eldar and their gods."

"The Phoenix King and Vaal are just a remnant of soul, nothing more. The Eldar Death God lacks a suitable body. Perhaps Inieed has the ability to stop them, but it will surely cause huge losses. His power is the foundation for the Eldar to maintain their fight against Slaanesh and is the guarantee for the Eldar souls. So this choice is difficult." said the traveler.

"Stopping it is not a problem. The problem is, this thing..." The emperor's eyes flashed with divine light, and he seemed to be considering some issues.

"We should take a long-term view. We should not calculate too much about our allies' things. Besides, we all respect each other. We help them block this attack and then return the things to them. Do the elves have the nerve to take them for free? Moreover, they still need our help in dealing with some things." The traveler said calmly.

"Well, forging is the priesthood you've always desired. If you can give it up, why can't I?" the Emperor said. A moment later, the avatars of the Emperor and the Traveler appeared in the physical universe. A golden sun and a cerulean ocean instantly obscured the sky. In that moment, all beings, whether human or demon, rebel or loyal, felt two immense pressures enveloping their senses.

In the distance, the iron felt, suffused with the blood of the gods and the foul aura of Slaanesh, swirled towards the Ark. Like a destructive meteor, it slammed directly into the Ark. However, as the two gods intervened, the planet-sized iron felt was finally caught and vanished from the physical universe. However, the aftermath of the collision affected the Eldar barrier, creating cracks in the once tight barrier. Seizing this opportunity, Fulgrim, Malphite, and N'kari slipped through the gaps. But the vast majority of the rebels and demons were not so lucky.

As for the subsequent strangulation, that had nothing to do with the Traveler and the Emperor; that was the business of the people below. The Emperor was more concerned about what the Eldar gods would give in exchange for this iron felt.

--------

"Vaul, this is your old tool." The Harlequin God appeared, accompanied by the God of Death and the remnants of two gods. He looked at Vaul beside him with a complex expression. The Phoenix King, meanwhile, was also filled with sorrow, and he sighed deeply. This artifact carried with it so much of the Eldar's past glory and sorrow.

"You used to be my tool, but now I can no longer use it. I am just a remnant soul." Val said with a wry smile.

"After all, this creation once belonged to you, and you can take it back." The Emperor spoke.

"Haha, your actions surprise me a bit." The Great Clown's expression changed. He had originally thought that the Emperor wouldn't so easily return such a valuable artifact to the Eldar. After all, even if the Emperor and the Traveler couldn't fully utilize the artifact, it would still be of some use to them. Furthermore, this time, it was the Eldar gods who requested humanity's help.

Even the Eldar gods were ready to abandon the artifact. After all, the Vaal could no longer use it, and the pollution on it was too difficult for the Eldar to deal with. It was a complete waste.

"We are allies. The Chaos Gods will exist for a long time. They are our common enemy. In the future, we will face more enemies together, such as the Devourer from beyond the galaxy," the Traveler said. "We shouldn't let a few small gains ruin our cooperation."

"Your Excellency is right." said the Phoenix King.

"Traveler, you are a being of high moral character," Val said.

"Haha, at our level, we can still be called morally noble. This is really a high compliment." The traveler said half seriously and half jokingly.

As the saying goes, kindness doesn't command the army, and righteousness doesn't command wealth. And as the saying goes, without ruthlessness, one can't stand firm. This is quite true, and has nothing to do with human morality; it's simply a common trait among intelligent creatures. Furthermore, a godlike being like the Traveler, among other things, has done countless things to disobeying aliens: he'd explode the stars, turning your home into a mine, or annihilate them with neutrons, turning yours into his own. When the Traveler said this, he was really just joking.

"This thing is good for dealing with Vashtor." Val said.

"?!" The Emperor and the Traveler were moved.

"That guy wanted to obtain the authority of casting and craftsmanship, but this authority was so strong that he couldn't grasp it at all. However, I have actually gone further than that guy on this path. After all, I was once the casting god of the elves, and we are descendants of the ancient saints. His path and mine almost overlap, and the things I left behind are far superior to his in status. Add to that your divine power, it will be very easy to deal with him." Val was repaying the kindness of mankind.

Simply put, when everyone's power is similar, whoever is stronger is truly stronger. For example, if a battlecruiser is defeated by a battleship, it can still flee or launch a surprise attack. However, since they are both battleships, their strengths are similar in all aspects. The weaker party doesn't even have a chance to flee. Unfortunately, Val and Vashtor are such a pair. Their power is very similar, and Val was indeed much stronger than Val Banxian back then. Val's creations naturally have special attacks against Val Banxian.

"Emmmm." The Emperor looked at the traveler. It was obvious that the previous plan could be changed again.

"If someone dies in the future, his revenge will be blamed on Slaanesh." The traveler said with a smile.

"That's it, let's leave this thing here for now. Travelers can use this time to purify this artifact and learn how to use it. I will provide help." Val said.

"May our cooperation be joyful. After the war, this artifact will return to the Eldar," the Emperor said. With the key issues settled, the gods exchanged a few pleasantries and the discussion concluded. Then came the next step: if Wa Banxian were to be robbed of his gold, how would the profits be distributed?

This benefit isn't just about technology and knowledge; it involves something far more profound, like power and godhood. Undoubtedly, travelers who are direct participants in the plan and skilled in this area will take the lion's share. But how will the remaining treasury be divided among humans? As for why the Eldar don't want it? Even the meager remains of the Vaal Half-Sage's soul are more valuable than what the Vaal Half-Sage has left! In the eyes of the Eldar, the remaining treasury is worth more than the iron felt taken back and then used by the Vaal for archaeological excavations.

But it must be said that this was a great gift to the Primarchs. Deciding who to give it to and who not to is a matter of study. Some, like the Khan, Russ, and Guilliman, are out of the question, as they have little to do with forging. The only ones truly capable of competing are Ferrus, Perturabo, Vulkan, and Dorn.

"So, what do you think?" asked the Emperor.

"Leave a portion for the Lord of Radiance, and you can do with the rest. Don't worry about Trazyn. The ceiling of the Necrontyr's physical universe is not just talk, and if you want divinity, the Star Gods also have it." The traveler's answer was unusually simple and crude.

"So, you're pushing the problem onto me again?!" The Emperor suddenly realized. What a cunning fellow! He really didn't want to offend anyone. The Emperor suddenly felt that the Traveler was also well-versed in the ways of the world. Theoretically, the Emperor and the Traveler could make arbitrary decisions, deciding who to give and who not to give. However, the problems that arose from this were somewhat troublesome.

Giving it to the Radiant Lord was perfectly fine. After all, the Radiant Lord had burned himself to death and sacrificed for humanity, so giving him a high-dimensional reward was perfectly normal, and the loyal Primarchs wouldn't object. Therefore, the Traveler's suggestion of leaving a portion for the Radiant Lord was perfectly acceptable.

But the remaining four most competitive Primarchs are a bit tricky, honestly, because, to some extent, Ferrus is on one side, Perturabo and Dorn on the other. Vulkan should technically be considered Dorn's side, but he's quite popular, so assigning him wouldn't be a big deal. And then, how to divide the three? That's the problem.

After all, Ferrus still has Guilliman and the Raven King behind him. Russ is also more inclined towards Ferrus. After all, they have known each other for a long time and have a good relationship.

"Okay, let me remind you again. If this godhood is divided into small pieces, it becomes a tool, not a monopoly. Everyone can give some. As for who gets more in the end, it depends on their ability." said the traveler.

The Traveler's intention was clear: to chop these godheads into small pieces and distribute them. The Traveler never intended to create a human god of forging. The concept of forging was too powerful and too important. No one could handle such a vast concept, and considering the consequences, it wouldn't be good for such a crucial concept to be controlled by one person. Furthermore, humanity still had the Mechanicum.

"Okay, I understand," said the Emperor.

"Well, Emperor, there is one more thing that I'm sure you will be interested in." The traveler stopped the emperor who was about to leave and said.

"What's the matter?" The emperor became interested. After all, there were a lot of happy things today, and the emperor was in a good mood.

"I found Alpharius." The traveler said with a smile.

"Fuck! Where is he? What is he doing? Is he okay now?" The Emperor said excitedly. As this was the first Primarch he actually brought back, the Emperor still cared very much about him.

One could even say that if Alpharius were willing to admit his mistakes and turn against the rebels, the Emperor would simply accept. Of course, this couldn't be said directly, for if he did so, what would the other loyalist sons think? What would the Traveler think? Even so, His joy was evident.

"How did you find him?" asked the Emperor.

"It's simple. The alien remnants behind Alpharius aren't very powerful. Now, humanity's fortune is gradually recovering, and their protection of Alpharius has weakened. Of course, this isn't the most important thing. The most important thing is that Alpharius disguised himself as an Ultramarines expeditionary force and came to one of my shrine worlds. He even obtained supplies from this shrine world by impersonating the Ultramarines. He also commandeered a newly built Splendid-class battleship, and you know very well what this class of battleship is. The AI aboard it is a fragment of my power."

"How about it? Do you want to meet your rebellious son? Give him a surprise? Or let me do something for him?" The traveler laughed.

Alpharius was at his wit's end. As the Imperium and Chaos clashed, civil war erupted within the Alpha Legion. Alpharius opposed the Emperor but distrusted Chaos, and he also harassed them. Consequently, Alpharius's Legion was attacked by a combined force of both the Imperium and Chaos. Meanwhile, Omegan, with the support of Dorn and Guilliman, launched a massive offensive across the Imperium.

As twin Primarchs, the two were practically on par. However, their support and manpower were vastly different. After numerous battles, Alpharius's flagship was severely damaged and hidden in a corner of the galaxy. The entire Legion was forced to break up into smaller units, wandering the world.

Although Alpharius's Legion had been dispersed, he still wandered the astral sea with over 8000 Legionnaires and a decent fleet. Alpharius's Legion was short of supplies, so he decided to visit Guilliman's 500 worlds to see if he could get some.

If he could trick them into leaving without resorting to violence, that would be best. If he was discovered, Alpharius wouldn't mind robbing them. He then found an industrial world called Hyrule 5, also known as the Traveler's Shrine World.

As a deity whose origins lie in travel, yet whose passion for forging and construction is unwavering, the Traveler's followers not only build temples and altars, but also transform their homeworld into an industrial world. After all, according to public teachings, the Traveler is considered an aspect of the great God of All Things, so there's nothing wrong with developing industry on a shrine world!

Furthermore, because everyone in the Adeptus Mechanicus believed in the Traveler, the Adeptus Mechanicus turned a blind eye to this research and development. After all, the Adeptus Mechanicus itself was known for its looseness, and the Traveler sect within it likely felt closer to the brothers on Hyrule-5 than to other mechanics. And because the planet was strategically located and had abundant resources, it became one of Guilliman's planned Ultramar Fifteen shipbuilding bases.

Originally, Alpharius had planned to impersonate the Ultramarines, trick them into entering, then overturn the tables, beat up the defenders, and then flee, teaching Guilliman a lesson. However, plans couldn't keep up with the unexpected. Upon Alpharius's arrival, a cultist rebellion had erupted on the planet!

Well, to be precise, this planet once held a Khorne relic sealed within it. As Khorne turned its gaze towards Ultramar, this relic awakened, affecting many. Coupled with the earlier actions of the Word Bearers Legion and the arrival of a Word Bearers fleet, a rebellion erupted on this crucial world on the fringes of Ultramar.

So now Alpharius was faced with a choice. The Empire and Chaos were at war. What should Alpharius do? Should he fight both sides? Or the Empire? Or Chaos? Or should he just walk away?

On this issue, Alpharius's judgment was accurate and quick. Without further ado, he decided to help the defense forces of Hyrule 5 fight against Chaos. It wasn't that he had changed his mind.

Rather, he knew his purpose in coming here: to get supplies and manpower first, no matter what method he used! The fleet's supplies and reserves were already at their lowest point. If he missed this opportunity, the next time the brothers had a meal would be a problem!

The problem was clear: since Chaos and the Word Bearers were out to destroy his fortune, he had to deal with them first. Furthermore, Alpharius figured that helping the natives would make it easier to get things later. So, with 8000 Hydras, Alpharius decisively joined the fray. Unconsciously, he acted loyally, defeating the Word Bearers fleet and earning a warm welcome from the planet's ruler, Ingvar, the High Craftsman of Hyrule-5.

Alpharius had originally planned to restock his supplies and then depart. However, the Grand Engineer himself was too hospitable, and Hyrule-5 was generous, revealing a newly completed Brilliant-class battleship, the MK6, in the planet's dockyard. This Brilliant-class battleship is one of the most advanced and improved versions of the Brilliant series. With a length of 12 kilometers and a maximum width of 5 kilometers, it possesses firepower and capabilities far exceeding those of its peers. It is an excellent choice for fleet warfare, planetary landings, and as a command center.

Originally, this warship was built by the Industrial World and intended for the Imperial Navy. However, the crews supposedly seeking to receive it were attacked by Chaos en route, suffering heavy casualties. They couldn't arrive anytime soon, and the ship couldn't remain in the shipyard forever. So, the warship was intended for incorporation into the Ultramarines. Since the crew had arrived, it was simply handed over to the Legion. Whether this exceptional commander could secure the ship depended on his abilities; the Industrial World had nothing to do with it. The only problem, of course, was that the ship still needed some finishing work, requiring a short wait.

"Hmm... then wait a moment." In less than a tenth of a second, Alpharius decided to add this exceptional vessel to his fleet. He had long coveted this class of warship. However, his Legion had never acquired one. After all, his relationship with the Primarchs who controlled production was truly troubled. Alpharius had considered sending his children to seize one, but their attempt to board it was repelled. The surviving children remarked that the vessel was truly uncanny, its construction and internal defenses incomprehensible. Simply put, it was a bit of a mystery.

The days that followed were probably the most comfortable for the officers and soldiers of the Alpha Legion. They were received as heroes who had saved the planet. And the High Engineer Ingvar also considered Alpharius a friend. Initially, Alpharius had worried about being exposed, after all, a few spies would be difficult to detect. But with 8000 of his fleet being Alpharius, such a large target, could Guilliman not detect him?

However, after talking with Ingvar, Alpharius understood the real reason: there was a problem within the Ultramarines! Or at least Guilliman had falsified the size of the Legion he had announced. The actual size was far greater than the 25 Smurfs Guilliman had reported, a total of 25 regiments.

Alpharius calculated that, theoretically, an Ultramarines should number around 1 men, but during battles with the Ultramarines, Alpharius's Legion had encountered a legion with 1.8 men! The fleet was over twice the size of a regular legion, with greater tonnage! A spearhead force of three Splendid-class battleships and seven other battleships had directly overwhelmed the Alpha Legion's squadron. After the battle, Alpharius learned that the commander of this legion appeared to be named Hill.

Later, during the battle with the Ultramarines, Alpharius discovered that none of its chapters seemed to have even 1 men! They weren't undermanned, but overstaffed. Overstaffed, to be sure, it was just a matter of how much. And beyond those 25 chapters, there were also numerous independent units and fleets, numbers so numerous they were difficult to calculate. So, when Alpharius entered the scene under the guise of the Ultramarines' XX Special Forces, no one suspected anything...

Of course, the security on this planet is actually very strict. Every incoming ship and personnel will be tested for chaos contamination. However, Alpharius really doesn't believe in chaos...

"Guilliman, I didn't expect a fellow like you with thick eyebrows and big eyes to have such thoughts," Alpharius said with a hint of pride. It was clear that Guilliman had expanded his forces to a far greater scale and number than he had reported. This, to Alpharius, clearly indicated he was having second thoughts, or perhaps even his own agenda. Furthermore, the rebellion had progressed to this point, with both sides already engaged in three divine wars. While the various legions took turns deploying, Guilliman seemed to be holding his ground, his main force remaining steadfast within its own territory. What was he planning?
