Are the Dark Eldar strong? Theoretically, they should be very strong. After all, a race that can imprison an entire star within the Webway must possess considerable technology and power. However, they generally cause a lot of trouble in the physical universe, but rarely anything major. After all, they come out to plunder and profit. Sometimes it's not a question of whether you can defeat them, but whether it's worth it.

The Black Bean Sprouts were no shortage of means. After all, they were the direct cause of the Khan's disappearance. Whether there were other hidden forces or connections behind this, Balder couldn't know. Regardless, the Black Bean Sprouts, who had threatened the Imperial transport fleet, and the Mysis who collaborated with them, would have to pay the price for their actions. And if nothing unexpected happened, the Eldar emissaries would come again.

"The Eldar, the Iron Hands, and me." Interesting. Balder leaned back in his chair, closing his eyes. When he opened them again, they glowed with a faint golden light. "The gears of fate have turned. Xilego, I hope you can be more honest this time. It's a pity for Ferrus."

"Endless Journey, prepare to teleport, I want to go back." Balder said seriously.

"I will follow your orders, Master." Endless Journey responded respectfully and expectantly. He vaguely realized that his master was going to be serious this time!

After Balder returned and explained the mission, he went back to his captain's room. He walked alone in the wide corridor of the Endless Journey, emitting an invisible pressure that made people feel awe. Whether they were Space Marines or Mechanicus Sages, they subconsciously chose to stay away from the corridor and respectfully welcomed the owner of the battleship.

Balder said nothing, but his words made it clearer than any other words how serious and solemn this lord was at the moment. After he walked away, everyone returned to their work. People were curious about the reason, but no one dared to ask.

Chapter 68: A Conversation in the Depths of the Soul

"Endless Journey, don't let anyone disturb me." After returning to the captain's room, Balder ordered the Endless Journey.

"As you wish." The Endless Journey began to seal off the passages leading to the captain's room and lowered the energy shield. Whether it was physical or subspace, no one or any other existence except certain entities could explore the secrets deep within the Endless Journey.

Balder walked towards the throne in the center of the captain's room, lost in thought. After a moment, his mind seemed to grasp a message. He sat upright on the throne and closed his eyes. He activated the mark left by the Eldar spirit. Through a special method, he knew that Nyadra was ready to communicate and was waiting for him to enter the meeting place.

As the mark deep within his soul activated, Balder's spirit arrived in a unique space. It felt like two separate spaces joined together. The side Balder occupied resembled the throne room aboard the Endless Journey. Its layout was solemn and austere.

On the other side, it seemed to be an Eldar Ark World. Even though it was simple by Eldar standards, the wraithbone buildings inlaid with crystals and gems still gave people a sense of elegance and beauty.

"Respected Traveler." When Balder entered this special space and time, Niadra's eyes flashed with surprise. The person before him exuded a different aura. Last time, Niadra had felt that Balder, on the surface, was a sensible mortal, someone who would retreat when faced with difficulties and hesitate when faced with choices. But this time, when Balder appeared before him again, Niadra felt as if something had awakened. While her human side still dominated, she still had to be mindful of her attitude.

"You guys are very quick." Balder said in a low voice.

"Everything is destined. The Fallen Moon Cabal has violated the will of the gods and the goal of the Eldar's revival, waging war for their own depravity. This behavior must be stopped. And I, as a messenger of the gods, am willing to assist you." Niadra straightened her body when she mentioned the word "god." She felt a little pressured by the person opposite her, but she didn't want to lose her momentum.

"And you harvest souls and believers, is that right?"

"Since they are unwilling to serve the Twin Gods and unwilling to work for the revival of the Eldar, this really puts us in a difficult position. Wantonly discarding is a waste, and waste is shameful."

"I want something and some help." Balder's expression changed, and a piece of information flowed into Niadra's mind.

"The technology you need is not a problem. But the Eldar fleet will not participate in a head-on conflict yet. At most, we will close their webway before the Fallen Moon Cabal evacuates." said Nyadra.

"We have our own difficulties. The Dark Eldar are too large. Neither the Harlequin God nor the Lord of Death can give up easily. If the Troupe or the followers of the Lord of Death openly help outsiders destroy a large-scale Cabal fleet, it will put a lot of pressure on our next operations."

"Then, taking a step back, can you, as I request, intervene at any time to open and close the Webway?" Balder asked. Balder had no plans to enter the Webway, at least not yet. On the one hand, the Webway was too dangerous; what if he were imprisoned? On the other hand, this encounter was just the beginning. Balder felt that dealing with the Iron Hands might require even greater effort than fighting them in combat. Therefore, he couldn't reveal his cards too soon.

"The Webway is such a great creation that even the gods can only glimpse a corner of its secrets." After pondering for a moment, Nyadra sent a message to Balder, indicating the location of the Webway in certain areas and the time when it can be controlled.

"Please make good use of the resources at your disposal," said Niyadra.

"In addition, I want a complete, large warship of the Fallen Moon Conspiracy, and you know, it may be difficult to do this. I need to completely control the entire warship in a short period of time to prevent them from destroying its key components." Bader said.

"No problem. The Endless Journey will acquire the relevant knowledge and weapons." Nyadra's response was as straightforward as ever. Or perhaps the Eldar gods didn't care about such minor issues.

"Okay, let's talk about the Iron Hands. You seem to be interested in Ferrus?" Balder spoke again, and his words made Nyadra tremble. She looked at him in surprise.

"Don't look at me like that. To me, this plot is obvious," Balder replied calmly. To him, the matter was easily understood both logically and from the context. In the background, the Eldar prophets had warned Ferrus that he would die at Fulgrim's hands, but Ferrus ignored them. This showed that at least some of the Eldar wanted to save Ferrus from certain death.

In this plane, after the Eldar God of Death resurrected prematurely and glimpsed the future, it was inevitable that they would choose to join forces with humanity to fight Chaos. And Ferrus, as a crucial figure, closely connected to Fulgrim, it would be normal for the Eldar gods to take action; inaction would be abnormal!

Logically speaking, if the Eldar only wanted to eliminate the disobedient Fallen Moon Cabal, Baldur could have done it himself, and then shut down the Webway. Baldur could have dealt with them, and in that case, why would they provoke the Iron Hands?

Some might say that because Mysis's pocket empire is at war with the Iron Hands, and the Dark Eldar are allies, Balder has his own ideas about this.

"We should be frank. I understand your interest in the Iron Hands. But there is another question, and I have a vague feeling that as the Fallen Moon Conspiracy, which has fallen to the extreme, why would they invest so much energy to help a pocket empire that they despise from the bottom of their hearts? Is there a reason for this?" Balder looked at Nyadra, with only determination in his eyes, and no questions asked.

"You are truly wise." Niadra bowed slightly after hearing this. "Our gods anticipated your second question. They said you need to understand it yourself, find the clues, and solve it. This will help you find yourself."

"As expected." Balder felt a certain uncertainty in his heart, and now, after receiving confirmation from the other party, the fog in front of him dissipated a little. "I will handle these matters myself."

"Well, then, let's talk about the Iron Hand Primarch," Balder said. "What do you want to do? It's best for everyone to be frank. Ferrus isn't as easy to talk to as I am."

It's finally time for my new book to hit shelves. I'm a true newbie, writing for Hedgehog Cat. From the first chapter until now, I've seen no one recommending my new book. This journey hasn't been easy for me. Thank you to all my fellow readers for their continued support, and to my editor, Garlic, for your help and support, allowing me to go through the entire recommendation process. Thank you all!

I'm a Warhammer fan, primarily a fan of the backgrounds. I also read the novels myself, and GW's settings are conflicting, with a lot of character changes, not to mention the constant data clashes and power breakdowns. So, please bear with me on the backgrounds, as GW itself hasn't quite figured things out, and it's just a novel after all.

As for characterization, the author's writing is truly average. After all, this is my first time writing this type of novel, and I'm not particularly skilled at it. I can only say I'll do my best. If you can guess who I am, that's fine. Don't ask any more questions. The relevant posts have been deleted. Please understand, fellow readers. Thank you all in advance.

Regarding the plot, I'll try to write a different 30K story. The 30K storyline features very little description of xenos and human pocket empires. Furthermore, the Great Crusade wasn't entirely smooth sailing. Besides the well-known Randan, there was actually a lot of collaboration between multiple Legions. Therefore, the protagonist will undoubtedly interact frequently with other Legions and Primarchs, starting with the Iron Hands. After all, Ferrus returned early. Some plot threads and clues will also be gradually revealed. Please be patient. I'll strive to write a rich and comprehensive story.

Overall, the story is definitely much better than the background. After all, the protagonist's background is so awesome. If the human dream is still broken, then wouldn't the protagonist's journey through time be in vain?

Next up are updates and rewards.

The author has promised to update more chapters before. Basically, if a single person tips over 5K, he will update more chapters.

第一次加更是3月19号的书友储存箱的5K赏。在3月21号兑现的。

The second one is the reward from the three soaps that book friends can explore later.

The third one is the 5K reward from book lovers who have a desire that surpasses everything else.

The fourth book friend has more rewards, including 5 soaps and 1 dog food from Death Titan, which directly exceeded ten thousand.

The fifth one is the 5K reward from book friend Moyu Zhengwei today.

At the same time, there are rewards from other book friends~~~. The author thanks again.

The first reward has been paid out, so the next four are due. The author should update the book four times. And the reward from book friend Death Titan is over 4. So I will update the book once more, which will be the fifth time.

So, after it goes on sale tomorrow, I'll have five chapters to go. I heard in the group that Shuke usually gives 5 to 1 in rewards per chapter. I'll give five chapters tomorrow, which is basically 2 in rewards per chapter. And the author gives about 5 per chapter.

According to Shuke's general rules, Blade will also receive additional updates. This author has only just learned about this. After all, I'm new here, and sadly, because the book was released at the beginning of last month, after asking the editor, I was told that last month's attendance wasn't considered perfect, so Blade will only receive the lowest level. But this should be added.

The author has read the rule from friends and inquiries that it is 100 or 200 blades at a time. Now there are 263 blades, so the author is now planning to add 100 blades at a time. So I will add two chapters.

In the future, after the book is released, the author's reward will be the same. When the total reward reaches 100, the author will add an update. When the blade reaches 2, the author will also add an update. Generally speaking, a chapter is more than 2. Normally, the update can be updates per day~~~!

Oh, and I missed an update today, but I'll make up for it tomorrow. Tomorrow's first chapter will be about the problems that the author has in mind for Ferrus. Since the content is relatively coherent, I won't break it up. Chapter 4 K.

As for the results? I naturally hope they are as high as possible.

Therefore, in addition to the normal rewards and blade extra chapters, as long as the average subscription does not exceed 500, the author will add one more chapter. If the author's average subscription exceeds 2500, then the author will add 5 more chapters.

Plus, the author previously promised a minimum update of 1 words, so tomorrow will be at least 2.6 words! There's one 4K chapter, which translates to ten chapters. The author has drafts saved. As for the bonus chapters and the average subscription bonus chapters, if the author can manage them tomorrow, they'll definitely be posted tomorrow. If not, they'll be posted as soon as possible~~~!

It is not easy for the author to write a book. If you really like this book, I hope you can support it. Here, the author thanks everyone again~~~.

Also, if you have any opinions, you can discuss them in the thread or in the back-channels, as long as they are polite. I've seen very little discussion about the content in the back-channels and thread, and I don't know what everyone likes. As for setting up a group, we'll talk about it later. Let's get tomorrow's launch ready first.

Well, the author is going to prepare for the release of the book tomorrow. After it is available, the VIP chapter will be updated. Once again, please help all the book friends, thank you~~~!

Chapter 69: Ferrus's Problem

"What do you think is Ferrus's biggest problem?" Niadra spoke first. This question surprised Balder somewhat, and he fell into deep thought. This question was indeed quite difficult.

Is Ferrus strong? He's certainly strong, even a contender for the Warmaster position. Guilliman once commented on the Primarchs, calling Ferrus, Dorn, Sanguinius, and Russ "the fearless minority." He also claimed that Ferrus was the most important of them all, irreplaceable and unshakeable.

But honestly, Baldur didn't take Guilliman's assessment seriously. After all, his judgment was questionable! He didn't mention the Dark Angels or the Sons of Horus, two of the most elite Chapters. He also didn't mention the hardworking Iron Warriors or the master tacticians like the Emperor's Children. It seemed like the only people mentioned were those he had a close relationship with.

Regardless, Ferrus was formidable. His superior strategic vision, sophisticated tactics, precise calculations, and superior technique made his Legion invincible. While Balder had always believed that a Legion that hadn't fought the Randan wouldn't have witnessed the galaxy's most formidable foe, there was no doubt that Ferrus was at least a top-tier Primarch, and his combined Legionary and individual strength was essentially in the top six.

Okay, now let's analyze the military and combat capabilities of Ferrus and the other Warmaster candidates. Angel, aside, has a very high Charisma, and with maxed-out Reputation and Fame, he's a capable fighter. However, the size and equipment of his army lags behind Ferrus, Horus, and Jonson. As for Papa Smurf? He's good at farming, so I'll rule him out for now.

Balder then began to analyze the differences between Ferrus, Horus, and Jonson in how they handled problems. These differences were not in their tactics, but in their mindsets and choices when facing powerful enemies.

For example, what happens when faced with an enemy stronger than anticipated? For example, someone on Ran Dan's level? The lion's approach is to do whatever it takes to defeat the opponent. In battle after battle, the lion uses sophisticated tactics, great sacrifices, and powerful technology to crush the opponent bit by bit.

And what about Horus? His choices were often far from straightforward. During the Battle of Randan, Horus never committed his precious Legion. He couldn't have been unaware of the Randan xenos' existence, nor of their power, but he didn't go.

In the Battle of Gate 42, Horus asked Krakos to take on a task he was not good at, while he also had other troops that could attack at the time. You can say that this was a grudge, or a conspiracy, but it also reflected from the side that Horus chose to avoid the real strong enemy.

During the Heresy, Horus demonstrated this to the fullest. From Isstvan until the Battle of Terra, he tended to consume the forces of his allies first. In other words, when he faced a truly powerful enemy, Horus chose the Fabian tactics, emphasizing detours or even avoidance.

A simple comparison makes the conclusion clear: the Dark Angels are truly ruthless, ready to slay anything. Horus, on the other hand, is more thoughtful. He never underestimates his opponents and uses his power with extreme caution. Furthermore, Horus is highly skilled at resolving issues through negotiation. He uses his power with caution, never overestimating himself, and especially never putting himself in personal danger. Caution is the core of Horus's military strategy.

Ferrus, however, was a different story. While adept at tactics and calculation, he wasn't exactly cautious. Perhaps it was his success in battle, or perhaps it was his lack of experience training with powerful aliens like Randan and the Krafo, but Ferrus was confident his system could solve every problem. While this proved to be the case, he was able to solve most problems, but it was the few he couldn't that ultimately ended his life.

Impatience and overconfidence can be said to be the root causes of Ferrus's death. In fact, a simple change of perspective can solve Istvaan V's dilemma. Not to mention a complete evacuation, at least his life could be saved.

That is, they had eight legions, while the enemy had only four. Although the Imperial Fist was temporarily unable to arrive due to the warp storm, the Iron Hands hadn't considered that Horus was no fool. How could they be so confident that four legions could defeat their seven? Could there be a problem?

Perhaps to outsiders, this may seem like hindsight, but think about it: his best friend, Fulgrim, was even poached by Horus, the Emperor's favorite, and yet Horus rebelled.

So why did those with reason to rebel, such as the Word Bearers who burned the Perfect City, the Iron Warriors who toiled without proper honor, or the Night Lords, who were inherently mentally unstable, so readily join the fight? After all, Fulgrim and Horus had the least reason to betray the Emperor. Didn't the Emperor treat them well?

If Guilliman's ignorance of Horus' betrayal led to the devastating losses at Calth, then as a frontline legion commander, he should have been somewhat wary, given Horus's unusual behavior and Fulgrim's betrayal of the Emperor. (Of course, this could be interpreted as a plot twist, but I won't discuss that here, purely from a logical analysis.)

If Horus had put himself in Ferrus' shoes, how would he have handled the situation? Wouldn't that be simple? He would have kept his troops and those of his most reliable and closest allies at bay, letting the others take charge! In this situation, even if he couldn't win, he wouldn't have died. So, that's a different way of thinking.

What? What if it was Jonson? That would be easy. He'd just pull some advanced technology from his pocket and destroy Isstvan V and the rebels on it! Jonson said he was an expert at that. (By the time the Iron Hands landed, they'd already essentially wiped out the enemy fleet, while the remaining four rebels hadn't yet arrived.)

Even Pertu Bora, a reckless fellow, actually fought a Primarch-level opponent in person, except when he brought Angron back. After all, at that time, Pitt had the absolute advantage. Otherwise, he remained cautious and held back. Even on Terra, when he was about to face Dorn, he didn't personally engage in the fight, fearing a potential setback. Ferrus, on the other hand, was completely irrational. Why would he fight with a knife for no reason?

Furthermore, when facing Fulgrim, he had already told Ferrus the truth: that, aside from the three of them, everyone else was on Horus' side. At this point, Ferrus could have evacuated if he wanted to. After all, even when Curze was nearly killed by the Lion King, the Black Armor Guards were able to take him away, and Ferrus had nearly ten thousand Gorgon Terminators with him at the time!

Besides, as a master of technology, Ferrus would have had teleportation equipment or something, so he could have just delayed for a while and left. As a result, Ferrus went to fight Fulgrim, which was really reckless.

Some might say that Vulkan's hammer had a teleportation beacon, but he didn't leave. That's another question. Perhaps Vulkan was struck by a nuclear bomb before leaving?

"Ferus is an excellent commander, but he is sometimes impulsive and very conceited. He is not cautious enough and does not listen to advice." Bader thought for a moment and added the last sentence. Because, during Isstvan V, Clarks and Volkan had reminded Ferrus to fight slowly, but it was obvious that they were rejected.

"Your analysis is correct, respected traveler," Niyadra nodded.

"So? What do you want to do? Let the Iron Hands suffer a setback in their first battle in Methis?" Balder looked at Nyadra with a cold glint in his eyes.

"We will not attack the Iron Hands from behind. We will even aid you and the Primarch," Nyadra said with a smile. "This war will not be easy, as the enemy's tactics are not compatible with the Iron Hands'. Ferrus will be victorious, but this battle will also leave a deep impression on him."

"And that's it?" Balder looked at Nyadra, his tone filled with doubt. "You and I both know that people tend to forget. Ferrus's stubbornness may prevent him from learning the lessons of this battle."

History has changed, but fate may not. Ferrus will still be a hidden danger in the future. Perhaps he won't die on Isstvan V, but he may fall elsewhere due to this fatal flaw. Learning from this mistake may only be a temporary solution, not a permanent one.

As for asking Ferrus to be wary of Fulgrim? The Eldar had done that before, to no avail. And even if he said it himself, it wouldn't have any effect. After all, their relationship was truly close before, and a rash suggestion would only earn Ferrus ill will. Of course, that wasn't the most serious problem; the most serious issue was the possibility of him becoming a target.

"So, this time we can give you another chance to choose. If you are willing, we can prepare a weapon for Ferrus that can at least save him from the fate of death. Of course, this weapon requires you to deliver it to Ferrus in some way." Niyadra gave the solution.

"Isn't this weapon very valuable?"

"Of course it is very precious. It is a weapon that can cut off the vortex of fate." Niyadra said.

"Haha." Baldur sneered. He didn't doubt the Eldar could accomplish this. After all, even Guilliman was slain by Fulgrim, and the Eldar God of Death could still resurrect him. As the Eldar God of the End, Aeneid held a very high status. Furthermore, now that he had awakened early and joined forces with the God of Laughter, it seemed possible that he could reverse Ferrus' fate through scheming and divine power.

After all, the Emperor had rescued Guilliman countless times since his awakening. If the Emperor could do it, then at least Enied could rescue him once. Never mind what would happen if Ferrus was beheaded; history has changed. Many past memories no longer count. And Balder wouldn't worry about such a weapon being lost. Think of Russ's Dionysus Spear...

"But what's the price?" Balder looked at Nyadra. "If we accept your kindness, what will we, or Ferrus and humanity, have to pay?"

Standing at a higher position, Balder has his own vision. This cause and effect is not just the cause and effect after saving one person, but also the change in overall destiny caused by this action. Even though Balder has not yet recovered, he subconsciously avoids this issue.

"The price hasn't been decided yet." Niyadra smiled.

"You're still not being honest enough." Balder fell into deep thought, his aura suddenly changing. If Balder had previously given her more wisdom and authority, now he gave her a sense of strangeness and awe.

"We'll discuss this later," Balder said. It was clear he had temporarily rejected Nyadra's solution. After all, the price involved was high, and he didn't want to shirk his debt to the gods. Balder himself wasn't afraid, because his subconscious told him that when the god of death appeared in this world prematurely, his debt to the Eldar had already been paid! He even had some money left over!

Did Angron, Pony, and Mortarion truly want to surrender to Chaos? Obviously not. Did they have a choice? It's so hard to stay true to one's true self amidst fate! Just like can Guilliman, once he wakes up, abolish the Ecclesiarchy? Obviously not!

By 41, the situation had deteriorated to an unprecedented degree, leaving the Eldar with no better options, and the Emperor was truly powerful. Now? The Eldar still have plenty of time and space, and the Emperor isn't strong enough.

As for whether he needed to take some measures for Rus? Balder's thoughts were simple at this moment. If he couldn't even protect Rus, then a sword imbued with divine power would be of no use at all!

"So how do you plan to solve this problem?" Niyadra asked.

Facing Niyadra's question, Balder once again fell into deep thought. "We still have time. We can wait," Balder said after a moment. In his heart, some half-baked ideas were already brewing.

"Or, when the time is right, you can go before the Emperor. Ferrus is His son after all."

"Yes, respected traveler. If there is nothing else, then I will take my leave. May the elves and humans have a bright future." Niadra saluted.

"Give my regards to the two gods," Balder nodded.

With Niadla's disappearance, Balder also exited the space, lost in thought. He knew he had a lot of work ahead of him. Previously, helping Russ in battle had been just a leisurely activity. Logistics matters were a minor issue; communicating with Iron Hand would require some careful thought. Most importantly, he had a vague feeling that something in Methis had a connection to him.

Chapter 70 Communication with Ruth

"These guys!" In Heracfenr's throne room, Russ felt a slight headache as he watched his men drinking, eating, and boasting. The battle was over, and he had successfully placed the orc boss's head in his trophy room. However, he was not particularly happy because just a day earlier, intelligence from the rear had told Russ bad news.

That is, another transport fleet belonging to the Space Wolves had been intercepted! Looking at these drunkards celebrating their victory, unaware that if this continued, their fleet's supply of Fenrisian mead would soon be exhausted, these guys really got Rus drunk! However, a group of Terran scions reminded Rus that if this continued, there would be trouble. It must be resolved quickly.

Russ had told the captains the seriousness of the situation, but they claimed they didn't understand honorable fighting and that if they left it to him, he would take care of it. But seeing their attitude, Russ knew he couldn't count on them.

"It seems that not only I am tired, but you are tired too. Now I feel balanced." Balder took the cup and poured himself a glass of Fenris mead.
