"The Moon of Vaal should still be in your hands. Give me a Randan War Moon in good condition. Add you and Vaal and you will be enough to teach Tzeentch a small lesson." said the Phoenix King.
"Are you sure?" Honestly, after battling the Dark Lords for so many years, the Traveler feared Tzeentch the most. Slaanesh was a piece of scum. Nurgle was an opportunist. He seemed powerful, but against beings above him, Nurgle was nothing more than a scavenger vulture. He would only attack when you were weak enough. As for Khorne? Haha, the Traveler could run if he couldn't defeat him, but Tzeentch truly intimidated the Traveler.
"Affirmative," the Phoenix King said with a smile. After all, the Eldar and the Chaos Gods had been coexisting for tens of millions of years. If we were to talk about seniority, it would be hard to say who came first!
"That's good," the traveler nodded, feeling relieved.
"Lorgar is going to take action against Loken." At this moment, the Emperor spoke.
"Let Loken put up a proper resistance and then evacuate. There's no need to stay in Dalkan. You can't hold it." The traveler said after feeling the lifeline in the void.
"However, the most correct choice is to let them consume the enemy as much as possible. Some of the weapons in Lorgar's hands are still very scary. It will be beneficial for us to expose them as soon as possible. The Eldar Legion will also provide assistance." said the Big Clown.
"Thank you," the traveler responded.
Chapter 368 Locke is ready
"How are the preparations going?" Loken, the lord of the Dalkan Forge World and former forge master of the Moon Wolves Legion, asked Tarvitz who came to him.
"Most civilians and technicians have been transferred to safe areas through the planet's webway. We no longer have to worry about anything. The Forge World Fleet, Planetary Defense System and Planetary Garrison are also ready. We can definitely stop the rebels here. Even if a Primarch comes here with 10 Space Marines and their attached fleets, I still have hope of stopping the enemy." said Tarvitz.
"Very good." Loken nodded, very satisfied with the current war preparations. He then looked at the Eldar representative, the Prophet of Ulthwe Ark, Eldrad. "We are very grateful that you can lead the Legion to support us. May the friendship between the Human Empire and the Eldar last forever. So, regarding the current war situation, do you have any suggestions?"
"Before the war comes, Your Excellency needs to prepare some whirlwind torpedoes deep in the core of the Dalkan world." As soon as Eldrad opened his mouth, Loken's fist hardened!
"If our intelligence is correct, then the rebels attacking Dar'Khan this time should be Lorgar and his Word Bearers. Previously, Lorgar's legion had been hunted by Lord Sanguinius and the Blood Angels," Loken said. Loken didn't know much about the Word Bearers. On paper, the legion appeared to number only 14 men. Their tactics and techniques seemed unremarkable. As for their Primarch, Lorgar, despite being a bit mysterious, gave a rather pleasant impression. Honestly, when Loken learned that Lorgar was the leader of the traitors, he was still shocked. It's true you can't judge a person by their appearance!
"If we're simply talking about Legion management, Lorgar is exceptional among the Primarchs. According to the information we've received, despite the losses in previous battles, the Word Bearers still number around 20 men. Furthermore, Lorgar has been preparing for rebellion for quite some time, and the loyalists within the Legion have been largely wiped out. This time, he's concentrated nearly 16 legionaries for the attack, not to mention the accompanying Daemon Legion."
"Technologically, these Traitor Legions were equally formidable. He joined forces with Forge-General Hake, who had left Mars. He persuaded this high-ranking member of the Mechanicum, who had a problem with the Emperor and the Traveler, to join the Traitors and is said to have provided the Word Bearers with some terrifying weaponry."
"A powerful legion, ample armaments, and an unpredictable demonic horde. Lorgar and his legion are far larger than you previously estimated. All we can do is wear them down and then withdraw from Dal'Khan at the right time. Of course, we absolutely cannot leave this important Forge World to the rebels. Complete destruction of this Forge World is the only option." Eldrad didn't play the Eldar's favorite charades anymore and explained the matter clearly.
(In the background, the size of the Word Bearers is described as being close to that of the Ultramarines, while the size of their fleet may exceed that of the Imperial Fists. The Ultramarines had 25 men before the Heresy, and the Imperial Fists' fleet is the largest in the background. In this article, although the Word Bearers are smaller, they are still first-rate in terms of numbers and fleet size.)
"This news is truly shocking, but even so, I will continue to fulfill my mission. I will resist the traitors' attacks here and inflict as much blood as possible. The entire Empire knows very little about facing demons. I hope our efforts and blood will help the Empire gain relevant experience," Loken said firmly. "As for this planet, although I feel extremely reluctant to leave it, Darkan is like my own child. However, if the time comes, I will resolutely blow everything to pieces!"
"We will fight alongside your Excellency, respected Commander," Eldrad responded.
--------
"I never imagined the Word Bearers would possess such a powerful force." Abaddon glanced out the porthole at the massive fleet, his heart filled with shock. Over a thousand warships of all kinds surged through the Warp's tidal currents like a torrent. Their scale was unmatched even by the entire Luna Wolves fleet.
Yet, this wasn't the most terrifying thing. In the midst of the torrent of steel, two warships the size of asteroids, surrounded and protected by countless other ships, were vastly larger than even the average star fortress. The torrents of energy emanating from their countless plasma engines carved a streak across the sky stretching for hundreds of kilometers. Plasma flames illuminated the forms of these massive warships. The largest of the Legion's fleet, the Queen of Glory-class battleships, seemed little more than escort vessels alongside the capital ships. Many high-ranking members of the Mechanicus exclaimed in amazement that the mere presence of such massive warships was a miracle.
"So, this time, Loken is doomed. His best outcome is to accept his father's orders and return to our side," Horus Jr. said to Abaddon. Horus had mixed feelings about Abaddon. His inaction led to Torgaddon's escape from the battlefield with a fleet of the Luna Wolves. But Horus couldn't bear to see Abaddon killed. After all, if Abaddon were eliminated, young Horus would be the only one left of his former Supreme Staff, the Council of the Four Kings! Horus offered Abaddon a chance, a chance to prove his loyalty. Abaddon, however, joined the expedition with a dazed mind. This expedition targeted his former comrades.
"So, Abaddon, face the reality. We will win in the end, and our father can lead us to a future that belongs to us. We are no longer the same as before. We are the descendants of the Wolf God, and no longer the Luna Wolves of the past. Our legion has been renamed the Sons of Horus." Young Horus said, looking at his dejected colleague in front of him.
"In Dal'Khan, we will face Loken and Tarvitz. Not long ago, it was me who personally led the team to save Tarvitz and rescued the Emperor's Children Legion from corruption. Now, who would have thought that we ourselves have fallen and become the existence we once hated the most. No matter how we cover it up, no matter what excuses we make up, we have betrayed everything we once swore allegiance to." Abaddon lamented.
"Don't say that again." Young Horus stepped forward and grasped Abaddon's shoulders. "We have cut ties with the past. We must obey our father's will! Our genes come from him. He is everything to us. You must prove yourself, Abaddon!" But Abaddon's lifeless eyes were the only response to Young Horus.
However, Abaddon's entanglement could not affect Lorgar's ambition. On his flagship, Fury of the Abyss, Lorgar summoned his men and made war deployments.
"Loken has refused to surrender to the gods, so the only outcome for him and his Forge World is destruction. All the people and the entire planet will be sacrificed to the Chaos Gods. I don't think it's necessary to spend too much time on a planet like this. I hope to win this war as soon as possible. Erebus, you can command another Abyssal Fury-class battleship, the Triarchic Prayer, alone to destroy them and then sacrifice them to the gods." Lorgar said to his chief dark apostle.
"As you command, my Primarch." Erebus's eyes revealed a fanatical look. In his opinion, although he and the Primarch had not been happy about some things before, the Primarch still valued him now.
"Very good." Lorgar glanced at Erebus, a hint of coldness flashing in his eyes. While Lorgar wasn't a good fighter, his strategy and tactics were spot on. He had heard of Loken, and the Dal'Khan Forge Guard was highly regarded throughout the Legion. After all, the entire guard was comprised of veterans who survived the Luna Wolves' participation in the Battle of Rand'dan. Tarvitz was also a top-tier member of the Imperial Legion, and Akurduna was rumored to be on Dal'Khan. Add to that the entire planet and its planetary defenses, and it was a truly formidable challenge. With so many renowned generals and 5 Space Marines, it wouldn't be easy to conquer.
Lorgar's idea was simple: there could only be one voice in the entire Legion, and that voice could only be his own. He gave Erebus immense support, and Erebus would use his blood and the blood of his cronies to win victory for Lorgar! Lorgar then looked at the Nurgle Archdaemon Ku'gath. This Nurgle-appreciated Archdaemon didn't seem particularly interested in the impending battle, while the Archdaemon of Khorne next to him seemed eager to fight. Tzeentch's Archdaemon didn't appear, only a Changeling concealed himself under his hood. As for the Daemon of Slaanesh, there was one Archdaemon, but the most elite were not there, reportedly having gone to find Fulgrim.
"The team's scattered. It's hard to lead them." For some reason, Lorgar suddenly had this thought. He should have been full of fighting spirit. After all, Horus had been destined to join the Chaos Gods, and in that unimaginable battle over Isstvan 3, the gods had triumphed. But Lorgar was still filled with unease.
"Let's get started. Don't let me down, don't let down the gods who are watching us!" Lorgar said at the end of the meeting.
--------
"They are coming! I feel the ripples caused by the huge number of ships passing through the warp! They are endless! The demons in the void are clearing the way for them!" A psychic told Tarvitz what he saw.
"Excellent. Signal Garro and tell him we're ready," Tarvitz said. The Loyalist fleet above Dalkan was divided into two main groups. One consisted of the Dalkan Garrison Fleet, commanded by Garro, and the Loyalist Death Guard. Together with star forts and minefields, they had sealed off Mandeville Point, the entire system. The other consisted of the Imperial Fleet, commanded by Tarvitz. The former comprised nearly all of the Loyalist heavy warships, while the latter comprised nearly all of the Loyalist's fast warships.
The Eldar fleet from Ulthvi, meanwhile, cruised on the edge of light and darkness. The prophets aboard their ships blanketed their hulls with psychic energy, while phantom fields blocked most technological detection. Like sharks lurking in the void, they waited for any self-righteous enemy to enter the fray.
"The Word Bearers fleet has emerged from the Warp! Their vanguard fleet has entered Mandeville Point!"
"The minefield has been activated!"
"Star Fort firepower system activated, we've spotted the enemy! Light spear and macrocannon arrays preheated!" Tactical instructions flowed before Garro, and everyone was already in full battle formation. All war machines roared with bloodthirstiness. With the soothing of the Mechanicus and the Legion's technical sergeants, the battle frenzy was temporarily suppressed. But this frenzy would inevitably be unleashed!
"Let's use artillery and sharp blades to completely destroy these hateful guys!" Following Garro's order, the Dalkan garrison fleet aimed at the first batch of Word Bearers fleets that rushed out of the warp and fired deadly fire!
Countless torpedoes, shells, and beams of fire poured down upon the Word Bearers fleet like a tidal wave. Erebus was prepared for any eventuality. He dispatched a detachment of heavy warships, including battleships and large cruisers, forming the spearhead of the vanguard! He hoped to rip the defenders' firepower apart. Following behind were a large number of cruisers, who would exploit the time bought by the heavy warships to close in on their opponents. Then, with fierce close-combat firepower and a vast number of Legionaries and vassal troops transported onto the opposing warships, they would completely overwhelm the enemy. It was a simple and common tactic. The third wave would be the allies of the Mechanicus, whose valuable warships, equipped with ultra-long-range firepower, would provide ample support for the fleet. The entire plan was imbued with a deadly rhythm and the beauty of echelon. Erebus considered this wave a sure thing, not even considering committing his precious Abyssal-class battleship.
"The battle begins," Young Horus said to Abaddon.
"I know," Abaddon said. The Luna Wolves squadron led by Horus the Younger was not large, as Horus still had to deal with the Angels and Ferrus. This fleet did not join Erebus's fleet, allowing them to observe the battlefield from the sidelines.
"Loken can't withstand the attack of this fleet." Looking at the fleet of hundreds of warships, little Horus said.
"Do you have any misunderstanding about Loken's level? Perhaps, Loken will be defeated in the end, but he will never lose to a charlatan who can only use words to deceive and threaten others." Abaddon sneered.
--------
"Damn it! We're facing a star fortress!" When the murderous Word Bearers fleet rushed into the real universe, the first thing that came into view was three star fortresses arranged in an inverted triangle! To protect the Legion's only forge world, Horus had invested heavily, deploying three Tiramisu-type star fortresses in high orbit around the planet. However, now, these three star fortresses had been dragged to Mandeville Point, blocking the position where the Word Bearers fleet appeared!
Chapter 369: Loken: What a pity, I was planning to deal with the Spirit of Vengeance.
No warship will engage shore artillery! This ancient adage remains valid even in the 40K era! Star fortresses, vastly outmatched in firepower, sowed death with abandon. They slowly rotated in the air, unleashing their firepower from each sector in turn. From their star fortresses, the heavy warships of the Dalkan garrison frantically attacked the invaders. The warships, armed with Dalkan's custom-made long guns and the terrifying axial cannons of the Splendor-class battleships, instantly shattered several large cruisers and a battleship!
A minute ago, the vast fleet of capital ships had been hunters; now, they were scattering through the void like frightened sheep. Some warships, driven into minefields by the overwhelming firepower, were instantly shattered by countless torpedoes and mines. The Word Bearers were zealous, attempting to sacrifice themselves to clear a path for the following fleet. However, as cruisers rushed out of the void to launch their charge, Tarvitz's fleet, like a group of fierce rangers, fiercely penetrated the enemy formation, devastating them with torpedoes and fierce large-caliber cannons, using intense bursts of firepower. As for the Dark Mechanicus's Terror Arks? Sorry, they couldn't even find a safe passage through the void littered with wreckage and their own warships!
"Sir, we can't break through the enemy's defense! The enemy has set a trap at Mandeville Point. Our fleet cannot be deployed, and the fleet's charge cannot shake the enemy's defense." A Word Bearers legionary reported to Erebus.
"Damn it! It's just a few star fortresses. The Triumvirate is enough to tear through the enemy's defenses!" Erebus said gritting his teeth as he looked at the fleet that had turned into space junk.
A massive ship began to sail toward the veil between the void and reality, with a swarm of warships gathering around it. A massive vortex tore through the thin barrier between the two realms, and a trident-like ship emerged into the real universe. However, due to its enormous size, it was like a giant bear trying to pass through a narrow passage. The warship practically nudged forward, nimbly, through the cracks in the veil!
"What is that?" Everyone was stunned at that moment, staring at the massive, wedge-shaped prow, its front width already longer than a battleship's. They seemed to witness an unmatched, ancient beast resurfacing! The prow's adamantine armor was engraved with the blasphemous motto of the Word Bearers, each word several meters tall. On the upper hull, a honeycomb of artillery and aircraft ejection ports lay densely packed. That was firepower enough to put even star fortresses to shame. Countless distributed void shield generators held the battleship in place. Even if some shields were destroyed, others would still provide protection. This was a nearly unmatched war fortress!
"Our weapons can't penetrate its shields!" Immediately, the Loyalist fleet concentrated its fire on this new, most threatening target. However, the firepower, enough to force the Glorious Queen-class battleships to retreat, barely pierced the behemoth. To Erebus, the hail of bullets from the opposite side wasn't even as annoying as the battleship's emergence from the void. After all, the ship was too large, making it difficult to enter and exit the Warp.
"Sir, this is the latest battle report from Captain Garro," a staff officer said. Then, Loken saw the image of the massive warship that was almost enough to suppress everything.
"What a pity. Originally, I wanted to leave some things to the Spirit of Vengeance." Garo looked at the Abyss-class super battleship coldly, with a hint of regret on his face.
"Let's send the Scourge Squad forward. Hopefully, they can successfully repel this guy," Loken said. Who survived the front lines of the Randan battlefield without some technology and ruthlessness? Besides, after returning, Loken would focus on farming and armaments. If Loken's current forces encountered the Randan War Moon again, well, they probably wouldn't win. While Loken felt they could easily destroy a Glorious Queen, this guy was a bit overkill!
After realizing they couldn't pose a sufficient threat to the Triumvirate, Garro concentrated some of his firepower on the surrounding frigates. The ferocious barrage reduced the warships of various types to fireworks in the sky. The remaining firepower remained directed at the behemoth warship. Light spears and macrocannons rippled through its shields. The chaotic energy signals directly interfered with the ship's sensitive detection arrays. At that moment, a small, spindle-shaped vessel stealthily approached its target. The Triumvirate's frigates were overwhelmed, and the warship's own detection was also disrupted.
"Alright, prepare to release!" After the technical sergeant finished checking the weapons stored inside, he handed control directly to the machine spirit inside the hull. Then, all personnel entered the escape pod. Thus, the small ship equipped with a cloaking field and its hull filled with graviton bombs began its final sprint!
"Something is flying towards us!" In the end, this small thing that was 1.5 kilometers long still couldn't escape the detection of the Trinity Prayer.
"It's just a frigate that luckily showed up. This thing can't hurt the Triarch Prayer at all. Allocate some firepower to kill it!" Erebus said disdainfully.
So, under Erebus's command, the behemoth reluctantly allocated a tiny bit of its firepower. However, to the Word Bearers' surprise, the battleship exploded on its own not far from the target!
"What the hell is this?!" Unlike a typical explosion filled with high-temperature plasma, this little thing first caused the entire hull to warp, as if being compressed like dough by some immense pressure. Then, the entire hull rapidly collapsed inward, and a mass of darkness began to expand outward. Everyone was stunned by this unprecedented sight, and a well-informed high-ranking forger of the Mechanicus let out a hysterical cry of surprise!
"Get out of here quickly! This is a graviton bomb! It can even distort space and time. Not even light can escape. This is a micro black hole!"
However, the graviton bomb's effect is faster than human thought. By the time they saw the light warp, it was too late. Powerful gravitational waves had already impacted the Triumvirate, rendering its numerous void shield generators virtually ineffective. The massive warship seemed pulled toward the black hole's core by the powerful force of gravity, annihilating all matter there! The heavy deck and rear support structure twisted and deformed under the pull of gravity. The warship's immense tonnage became its own demise! Panicked, Erebus ordered the fleet to flee this death trap, but even so, a section of the warship, the size of a Glorious Queen-class battleship, was torn off and sucked into the black hole, ultimately vanishing into thin air!
"My lord, the Triarch Prayer has been severely damaged! They possess weapons beyond our comprehension." Erebus frantically pleaded with Lorgar for help, for at that moment, he truly felt death approach. The massive warship wailed, its machine spirit emitting a heartbreaking wail. Half the Mechanicum priests connected to it fell instantly!
"Unfortunately, we lack the firepower to finish him off." Watching the fleeing behemoth, Garro shook his head helplessly. The weapon in his hands wasn't strong enough, otherwise, he would have definitely left it behind. The Word Bearers, in order to protect their flagship, were also providing cover whenever possible, even if they were shattered by the intense firepower.
--------
"Our frontal breakthrough has failed. My lord, you must make a decision." Kor Phaeron bowed to Lorgar and said.
"Loken is truly formidable." Lorgar frowned as he watched the Word Bearers fleet, still rushing into the battlefield like moths to a flame, his brow furrowed. Honestly, if the battle continued like this, it would be difficult for the Word Bearers to gain a decisive advantage. After all, the area of Mandeville Point was limited, and the enemy could simply block it and attack. Their fleet's advantage wouldn't be fully exploited. And to make matters worse, he couldn't stop now. After all, if he withdrew his forces now, what would happen to the Triarchal Prayer? Who could guarantee that Loken wouldn't have a backup plan?
"Now, it's time to pray to the gods for favor. We need to build a new landing site in this galaxy." Lorgar said to the demons beside him.
"It's not a problem to open a channel, but this channel won't be very big," said Kugax.
"It's enough to be able to pass through the Glorious Queen-class battleships, and arrange some other warships. I have estimated the military strength in Loken's hands. He has concentrated almost all of his forces near Mandeville Point. As long as we can have a fleet entering from other directions, everything will be fine. Kor Phaeron, don't let me down!" Lorgar said.
"I hope so," Ku'gath said. His response caused Lorgar to frown slightly. He excused himself from the bridge, returning to his quarters under the pretext of preparing to pray to the gods. Ku'gath then sent a Nurgle fly to quietly follow Lorgar.
"Your attitude makes people feel that you are just going through the motions. You are your father's favorite, shouldn't you spread the name of Nurgle in the physical universe?" Lorgar said to Ku'gath mercilessly.
"The Father is very satisfied with the present situation. He has obtained what belongs to Him," said Kugath.
"Isn't our goal to overthrow the rule of the false emperor? Aren't we trying to establish the kingdom of the great gods in the real universe?" Lorgar said excitedly.
"Hehe..." The only response he got was Kuga's series of sneers that seemed to be a bit contemptuous.
"Lorgar, the Great Father values you deeply. But the prerequisite is that you must understand the situation. We are all pawns, and the gods are far above us. They may lose, but they will not die in the foreseeable future. For them, everything before them may be just a game, but it's different for us." Ku'gath said, then cut off the communication, leaving Lorgar alone in deep thought.
Meanwhile, the battle continued as Kor Phaeron boarded the Glorious Queen-class battleship, the Law of Faith. A fleet was assembled alongside the Glorious Queen. As the Chaos God's divine power tore a hole through the void, this fleet entered the real universe from another direction. However, Kor Phaeron had no idea that his opponent had already noticed before he even opened the door.
"They're coming!" Eldrad felt the tremors of the Warp. A divine force swept across, and the veil between reality and the universe was drawn back. A bridge between the Warp and the physical universe was being built. Under the might of the Chaos God, the impossible became inevitable.
"Now, it's our turn?" Akurduna, who was sitting aside, picked up the sword in his hand and stood up.
"Yes, it's our turn. Garo and Tarvitz are responsible for the front. Although they blocked the opponent, the pressure is already very great. And we are responsible for dealing with the enemy who broke in from other directions." said the Eldar prophet.
"Actually, I still miss your half-hidden, secretive conversations," the Sword Saint said, half-seriously, half-jokingly. "They carried a hint of that elusive pride and reserve of an ancient civilization."
"So, so you feel that this has something in common with the elegance that your Legion of the Emperor's Sons pursues?" The old prophet said expressionlessly.
"I feel like there is," Akurduna said.
"Then you'd better be careful, your gods may not like this kind of mystique." The old prophet laughed.
"Perhaps you're right." Thinking back to how simple and rough Balder sometimes was when they first interacted, the Sword Saint agreed.
"Alright, there's a foe inside that our fleet has a tough time dealing with. I leave it to you and your men. I hope you can at least hold it off," the old prophet said. In his previous divination, he had already spotted the Glorious Queen-class battleship, the Law of Faith. This Glorious Queen-class battleship was clearly beyond the Eldar fleet's capabilities. After all, the Eldar fleet was renowned for its high mobility, concealment, and high burst firepower. The Eldar did possess battleship-class warships, but they were few and far between, making them quite valuable.
"Don't worry, my brothers and I will take care of that warship!" Akurduna dropped his playful attitude and grasped the longsword bestowed upon him by the Primarch, a weapon imbued with the power of the Untouchable. Following the Primarch's betrayal, this weapon was removed from the Legion's armory, but only a select few knew it still served the Emperor, now known as the Redemption. The loyal Imperial Children longed for the day when they could use this sword to redeem their Legion and save their Primarch!
This time, Akurduna's mission was definitely not a suicide mission. Before coming, Loken had given Akurduna an object. It was nominally a logic virus that could be used to control certain Machine Spirits. However, its actual function was probably only known by Loken. According to Loken, with enough luck, this object could easily turn a warship's Machine Spirit on our side.
Chapter 370: Sword Saint: The boat is good, but mine is mine (5K)
Meanwhile, as the Swordmaster made his final preparations, the Traveler observed the battle from a higher dimension. After all, this was just another experiment. During the Great Heresy, Chaos had used various Data Demons and the like to inflict heavy losses on the Loyalists. Even during the Battle of Calth, the orbital defense system was temporarily destroyed by the Electronic Demons.
After the Traveler became a god, He began to think, this electronic demon is used by Chaos, so why can't I, the Traveler, use it? It's actually not that difficult, it's just a process of contamination. An operation that mixes psychic energy and technology. And compared to the Chaos Gods, the Traveler still has an advantage because His powers include travel and forging. If those rebels use alien warships, it may be difficult for Him to operate them, but if you use human warships, don't blame the Traveler for being unethical! After all, this is exactly in line with His power. When dealing with the rebellious prince before, it was just a trial run, and now, it's time to get serious!
Thus, when Kor Phaeron and his fleet emerged from the void, the Eldar fleet had already entered combat position. Led by three Ark Eldar Void Dragon-class battleships and three former Dark Eldar Iron Thorn-class battleships, the swarm of Eldar warships was rapidly approaching the Word Bearers fleet from the rear. The biggest problem for the human warships was that their rear hemispheres had almost no firepower, and the Word Bearers fleet, having just completed the jump, had no time to organize its formation, let alone detect these high-speed assassins who had activated the phantom light field.
Then, unsurprisingly, a burst of pulsed lances wiped out the enemy! Unlike most human lance weapons, which fire one round at a time, Eldar warships are unique in that their lances are essentially fixed to the ship's axis. This allows for lances to be incredibly large. If human lances are rifles, firing one round at a time, then Eldar lances are submachine guns. Their bursts are continuous beams, like a guillotine, piercing through a warship. You could say Eldar warships aren't sturdy, but you certainly can't say their firepower is weak! In fact, in a one-on-one duel between battleships of the same tier, the likes of Nemesis and Emperor simply can't defeat an Eldar Void Dragon! (Try Fleet Gothic 2 if you're unconvinced.) While the Eldar lances' reload time is a bit long, this single burst is enough to disrupt an opponent's formation!
"Those damned long-eared creatures! With battleship-level firepower, how could they possibly be on the side of the False Emperor?" Many Word Bearers died never knowing who had attacked them, but some eventually spotted the looming Eldar fleet. The remaining main force began attempting to capture those fleeing at high speed, while the enchanted warships within the fleet harnessed the might of the Warp to pursue the Eldar fleet. Eldar warships were often captured by the sudden appearance of enchanted warships, their countless tentacles piercing their fragile ethereal bones and sending swarms of cultists, Word Bearers, and even daemons tumbling into them.
The two sides engaged in a fierce battle in the void. The Eldar fleet entangled its opponent, tearing Chaos warships into pieces. The Word Bearers fleet's counterattack also inflicted heavy damage on the Eldar.
"We can't continue to tangle with these long-eared creatures. Let the Law of Faith be the spearhead of the attack and cut through their formation!" Kor Phaeron also realized that although the Eldar warships had powerful firepower, they still posed no threat to the Glorious Queen-class battleships. Therefore, he rushed his flagship to the most conspicuous position to better utilize its firepower and attract the firepower of the Eldar fleet.
However, this gave Akurduna and his men an opportunity. Under the cover of friendly forces, a Dark Eldar cruiser finally approached the huge warship in the face of heavy artillery fire. Before it was completely destroyed, it used the Dark Eldar's unique boarding vehicles to send more than 300 Emperor's children onto the warship!
"Sir, we lost a cruiser in this attack," a battle commander said to Eldrad, looking at the destroyed warship. The heartache in his tone was evident.
"Everything will be rewarded. There has never been victory in this universe that comes without sacrifice. Our ancestors knew this well, so we conquered the entire galaxy. Now, although we have declined and our time has passed, we still need to pay if we want to survive!"
"Okay, let's not worry about that huge guy, just do our job." The old prophet said calmly.
--------
"Find excuses and terminals, and prepare to inject the purification program. Any traitor on board does not deserve mercy, but as a fine product forged in the Imperial Shipyard, it should continue to serve humanity and the Empire." Akurduna gave the order the moment he boarded the battleship.
At this moment, he vaguely felt a door appear in his mind. He could sense what was behind the door. This door led to the command bridge of the Glorious Queen-class battleship. Akurduna knew that as long as he pushed open this door, he could cross the distance of more than ten kilometers and go straight to Huanglong!
"Behind the door is Kor Phaeron, an old man proficient in psychic powers, and hordes of Terminators and demons. Akurduna, are you ready?" A voice sounded in his ears. He was very familiar with this voice. It was the legendary commander of the Space Wolves hundreds of years ago.
"I am willing, even if there is the evil god's lair behind me." Akurduna said firmly.
"Good job!" Akulduna heard the traveler's satisfied laughter. Then, a portal appeared in reality. Just as everyone was amazed at this miracle, Akulduna was the first to rush through the portal and directly arrived at the main bridge of the Law of Faith!
"Come, filth of the Warp and vile traitors." The moment the Swordmaster drew his sword, a shimmering blue light swirled across the blade. A power distinct from psychic energy combined with the anti-psychic stance of the Untouchables. Blue flames rose from the Swordmaster's body, and unique, mysterious runes were imprinted on his power armor.
"I am your end, I am the punishment!" Akurduna raised his sword and rushed towards Kor Phaeron like a whirlwind. Swarms of demons and Word Bearers tried to stop the wind-walking swordmaster, but under the lightning-fast blade, all who dared to stand in his way were reduced to ash. The demons' wails of burning souls echoed throughout the physical universe and the Warp.
The psychic spells fired by the dark apostles and demons disappeared without a trace on the swords and on the bodies. The blessing from the traveler and the anti-magic field of the untouchables effectively suppressed all the power of the warp.
