Chapter 284: Superior Skills
"You shouldn't have come." The traveler said to the Randan Lord who looked like Cthulhu in front of him. This was the first conversation between him and the Randan alien god.
"Huh?!" Lord Randan raised his head and looked at the blue giant standing in the distance. There was a hint of sarcasm in his words. "As the main god of your race, you actually ask such a question. It's ridiculous."
"If you're finished, the Randan civilization will be wiped out," the traveler replied. "You're not as strong as I am. Even within the Randan Empire, you're no match for me."
"Fate is not unique," Lord Randan said after a long silence. All higher beings understood this statement. After all, the Traveler knew that nothing could bind all fates. And after Lord Randan said this, the Traveler understood what he meant. That is, Lord Randan had no choice!
This was a trap set by the Traveler for the Randan Overlord, but wasn't it also the Randan Overlord's best chance? At this point, the human gods were separated, leaving the Traveler within the Randan Empire while the more powerful Emperor was on the front lines. Facing a relatively weak Traveler on his own territory was the best outcome the Randan Overlord could imagine.
Killing the Traveler was impossible, but as long as they repelled Him, Randan would still have a glimmer of hope. Randan civilization could delay until the evil gods in the warp launched a counterattack against humanity! At the level of gods, the evil gods in the warp were no longer a secret. It could even be said that under normal circumstances, it was impossible for the evil gods in the warp to deal with these beings who embarked on the path to godhood in the physical universe.
Just as the war between the Heretic God and the Emperor lasted for a long time, yet the Emperor never lost. Just as before the Fall of the Eldar, the Traveler had never feared the demons of the Warp. The laws of the real universe greatly suppressed the power of the Heretic God. It was during the Fall of the Eldar that the Traveler was beaten and ran everywhere.
All destinies are not unique, and the Randan Overlord is aware of this. Although his own civilization is in dire straits, colliding with humanity's destiny at this point in time, as the saying goes, destiny cannot be violated, and humanity will inevitably rise to the top, but this does not mean that Randan will be destroyed. After all, becoming the overlord of the galaxy is not inconsistent with the existence of other powerful civilizations in the galaxy. Aren't the Eldar and Orcs still alive and well? The Randan Overlord has actually chosen this path. The prerequisite for embarking on this path is that he must be able to hold on, to hold on until the long river of fate changes, until the evil god attacks humanity.
To achieve this goal, destroying any number of Space Marines, fleets, or even one or two so-called Primarchs would be of no real consequence. To truly delay the Randan civilization until the evil gods could strike at humanity, they must harm or threaten humanity's gods. The first battle between the two sides, while fierce, was merely a test. This round was the real deal. The Traveler had prepared a great gift for the Randan Overlord, and the Randan Overlord had similarly prepared a great gift for the Traveler!
Now, the fundamental reason why Lord Randan was willing to engage in conversation was that, if he wanted to use this great gift, it would take time... And for some reason, it seemed that the deity across from him was also willing to engage in conversation. Time passed, the constellations the traveler had been waiting for began to form, and Lord Randan's attack began to count down.
"Actually, I wasn't that crazy originally." Lord Ran Dan said. He knew very well that the traveler opposite could detect the chaos within himself.
"I know the problems I'll face if I do this, and I'm also aware that it will limit my future achievements." At this moment, Ran Dan Overlord was unusually lucid. "But I have no choice. I've paid an unimaginable price for today. You can mock me as a failed deity, but even so, I have no regrets!"
"So, are you ready now?" The traveler smiled. They were all foxes for thousands of years, adhering to the principle of never arguing when they can take action. If they arguing, it means they can't take action yet! As for heroes cherishing each other? Please, unless the other party completely surrenders, it will be a fight to the death.
At this moment, both sides felt the time had come! The traveler even sensed something extra. During the previous conversation, he finally understood why Lord Randan had come here, and he had used the last moment to respond! So, almost simultaneously, both sides began to attack!
In an instant, the murderous intent of the entire secondary star region seemed to solidify into substance. The traveler's divine power surged like a tide, rapidly connecting the entire constellation. At this moment, a huge omen fell on the Ran Dan Overlord, and there was no escape. At the same time, the stars that made up the constellation also became unstable. Stars that originally had lifespans of hundreds of millions, even billions of years, began to age rapidly. Under the power beyond reality, the radiation pressure of these stars was severely weakened. Hengxin's interior began to collapse, and the excess energy was channeled into the traveler's hands through special means.
The Eldar gods released the stars imprisoned by Commorra, and the sudden appearance of planets completed the spell with the galaxy as the chessboard. Multiple stars emitted light and heat. This energy was countless times the energy radiated by normal stars. Like a huge fireball, these stars were quickly drained.
At the same time, the divine power the Traveler had poured into the Warp began to take effect, causing violent Warp tides. These terrifying energies continuously impacted the barrier between reality and the Void, once again blurring the dividing line between them. Even more terrifying, the tides in the Void resonated with the pulsations of the stars in reality, and the forces from the Warp and reality gradually merged into one. And at this moment, the Moon of Vaal appeared.
Psionic energy and stellar power converged near the Vaal Moon. This artifact, born from the War of the Ancients, once again unleashed its might. The entire planet shone like a star in the real universe. The stellar fire, the tide of psionic energy, and the divine power of the Traveler converged here. The entire ritual entered its final stage. The Traveler appeared in the vicinity of the Vaal Moon in an instant, and the Vaal Moon, shining with infinite light, hung high above. When the energy gathered to its limit, a spear of light that even the gods could not bear to look directly at soared towards the cursed Randan Overlord in the distance.
At this moment, Lord Ran Dan, who had been locked in by divine power and fate and was bound to be hit, did not try in vain to dodge the attack, because he knew he could not dodge it, and more importantly, he needed to use this opportunity to severely damage the traveler. At this moment, the traveler finally saw Lord Ran Dan's hidden trick. He opened his big mouth full of spiral teeth and spit out a stick-like thing, which was entangled with countless souls and the echoes of the death of countless powerful people!
"The Fall of Civilization... Hehe." The Traveler recognized the enemy's trump card. It was the product of the Randan civilization's destruction of other civilizations, after which they, through a special ritual, fused the resentment and curses of countless dying civilizations! Added to this was countless souls! (This idea came from the Earthshaker shells. You can look at Earthshakers; they're quite mysterious. They're said to be the wails of dead planets being destroyed, collected by the Mechanicus...) At this moment, the Traveler suddenly felt that his own moral standards were still very high. Although humans had ruthlessly exterminated countless xenos, they had never truly created such a weapon. Of course, this might also be due to a lack of certain technology...
Lord Ran Dan also used some forbidden means to lock onto the traveler. Both sides would be sure to hit. At almost the same moment, the light spear in the traveler's hand and the civilization fall in Lord Ran Dan flew out at the same time and flew towards each other's targets!
Almost instantly, the spear of light, reborn from an ancient Eldar deity, struck Randan Overlord in no time. The fusion of divine power, stellar energy, vast psychic energy, curses, and the power of fate left Randan in imminent danger of destruction. The blazing, dazzling spear instantly transformed into a brilliant ball of light, blazing like a star. Engulfed in the flames, Randan Overlord let out a howl of terror that resonated with the inhabitants of several star regions. Many psychics even perished on the spot, stricken by the divine spirit's agony.
Of course, as the god of the Randan race, the Overmind's pain was somehow transmitted back to the Randan army. Almost instantly, countless holes and collapses appeared in the Randan army's formations across the battlefield stretching across several star regions. The Space Marines were shocked by the enemy's spontaneous retreat and deaths. The originally fierce battle suddenly became one-sided. Even though the Supreme Masterminds and ordinary Masterminds struggled to restrain and control their subordinates, the Overmind's severe damage still left an irreparable scar on the enemy.
After this attack, Ran Dan Overlord's size shrank by nearly half, and a yellow-blue flame burned from his body, burning his mind and body constantly. It could be said that this attack almost perfectly achieved its purpose, and the Traveler successfully inflicted heavy damage on the opponent! However, at this point, the Traveler also had to consider how to deal with the opponent's attack!
Using one's own body to resist is impossible. As a Traveler, how can you let the opponent's ultimate move hit you directly? That would be an insult to your own priesthood! Although the Traveler doesn't want to admit it, in human history, the first group of Traveler believers were people who needed to escape... Traveling is actually a form of escape! The fall of civilization is inevitable, but for the Traveler, when it will hit is uncertain. Although He cannot delay it for too long, this time is enough for Him to take the next step!
The moment Lord Randan launched his attack, the Traveler also activated his own priesthood and domain. The distance between the Fall of Civilization and the Traveler was widened. This distance was a distance of logic and fate. No matter how the Lord's killing move flew and hit, because the Traveler had activated his priesthood, this attack would inevitably take some time to hit.
During this time, the Traveler decisively activated his second priesthood: that of the human god of the Webway! The Eldar gods granted the Traveler some authority over the Webway, and the Webway became a secondary priesthood under the Traveler's name. Once activated, the Traveler and the Webway merged into one! Indistinguishable from the Webway of this sector! In this scenario, the Fall of Civilization would eventually strike the Traveler, but the vast majority of the damage would be absorbed by the Webway! The Webway was still very strong. Although it sometimes leaked, from the time of the Old Saints to the present, whether it was the War of the Ancients, the battle between the Eldar and the C'tan, the Iron Rebellion, or the Fall of the Eldar, none of them had fundamentally destroyed this system. Even with Ran Dan's killing move, it could only destroy the Webway of a certain secondary sector.
When the Traveler and the Webway merged into one, the fall of civilization finally came. The terrifying power and curse destroyed the Webway that had existed for billions of years. The Traveler relied on the protection of his own divine power and his own travel priesthood to escape the disaster. When all the smoke cleared, the Traveler reappeared in the physical universe. The entire secondary star zone turned into a mess, and the figure of Lord Randan had long disappeared.
"A little hurt, but this result is acceptable," the traveler said, looking at the scars on his arm. The webway here took the vast majority of the damage, with very little falling on the traveler. Obviously, it would be almost impossible for him to remain unscathed, but this result was really good.
"Huh?!" The traveler, fresh from battle, suddenly sensed a distant being watching him. That feeling was so familiar. In fact, every time he was watched by this being, he felt an immense chill and murderous aura, the scheming and malice of Tzeentch. But now, the traveler, destined to become a god, no longer cared so much about the prying eyes of his old enemy. He looked up into the distance, chuckling contemptuously at the other party.
"Long time no see, Jianqi!" said the traveler with a smile.
"Hehehe..." At this moment, Tzeentch also saw the traveler, and from the long river of fate, he remembered a certain existence that should have completely disappeared from the physical universe, the warp, and the long river of fate! At this moment, he was terrified, because even with his power and priesthood, he had no idea how the other party had escaped from the inevitable death situation, returned here, and continued on the path to godhood!
Faced with a situation completely beyond his control, Tzeentch let out an angry and confused howl! Tzeentch could tolerate changes that were unfavorable to him, because unfavorable changes were also part of the way of change, but he could not tolerate changes that he could not understand! This was completely beyond his control.
"We'll have plenty of time for a great battle in the future," the Traveler said. "Now, get back!" The Traveler swung his spear, wiping out Tzeentch's tentacles from the real universe! At this moment, the impact of this battle was just beginning to ferment!
Chapter 285 The Gods' Reactions
"This is unreasonable! Fate has deceived me! After the war, fate clearly told me that there would be no trace of Him in this galaxy! He will become a piece of history, a past, and everything about Him will completely disappear in the torrent of time after a long time. However, today, He is back, the most important god among humans is back, and He has taken back His authority! Humanity should not have a second god, and there should be no new race of gods after the Eldar!" Tzeentch roared violently in the Crystal Palace, and countless Tzeentch demons, demon princes, and changelings huddled in the corners.
"Not long ago, during the war between gods, I felt the changes in the long river of fate. It began to develop in a direction that was not favorable to me. Over the long years, I have been strangling those who have the potential to embark on the road to godhood. I have won victory again and again. I bewitched them, deceived them, and eliminated them. All the gods could not stop the passage of time and the power of chaos. However, now, the most critical one among these gods has escaped my plan. The opportunity has been lost. Fate has given me tens of thousands of years to kill a god, but failed. I have lost this opportunity, forever!" Tzeentch's words were full of sadness.
"This is an unnatural force, a force beyond our comprehension. It has taken this fellow from certain death." Tzeentch's words betrayed a palpable fear. The once-powerful evil god, the one who toyed with fate and even the gods, was beginning to feel fear. This was a fear of the unknown.
All super-sizes are relative. To ordinary people, psykers are super-sizes. To ordinary Space Marines, Primarchs are super-sizes. And to all mortals, gods are super-sizes. So, for gods, are there super-sizes? Of course they do! Just like Tzeentch didn't dare jump into a well to explore its depths, there are ultimately some beings in this universe that even the Chaos Gods are unwilling to touch.
Tzeentch gathers knowledge and dictates fate. For him, the thought of a being possessing knowledge beyond his own and the means to escape fate is undoubtedly terrifying. It implies that the other party possesses some hidden card he is unaware of. If Tzeentch cannot peer into the fate of his opponents, the threat of this evil god is actually less significant.
Mortals are worthy of respect, yet they are also filled with potential. Often, they will bravely accept death for their nation and civilization, even accepting outcomes far more horrific than death itself. Demons and certain entities may appear powerful, but their strength is based on their own strength. Spiritually, they may be far inferior to mortals. Demons, due to their indestructible nature, fear no life or death. However, if there were a way to completely and decimate them, their cowardice and inner weakness would be fully revealed! And as their leader, the Cthulhu was unwilling to face the unknown. At least Tzeentch couldn't understand how the Traveler, at the final moment, escaped the Cthulhu's trap laid across the galaxy! It was unbelievable.
--------
Meanwhile, in Nurgle's hut, the God of Entropy gazed out the window at the blow that shook the physical world and the Warp, lost in thought. As the God of Decay, Pestilence, and Entropy, Nurgle saw things more deeply than Tzeentch in some respects. Although he hadn't discerned the other's divine office from the previous encounter, nor even connected it to the Traveler, he recognized this apotheosis from another perspective of fate.
"I feel His former breath. He originally died thousands of years ago. He went through the process of his first steps, development, glory and fall. But in the fall, He completed the transformation through some unknown means. He was reborn from the fate of decay and ruin. The increase in entropy is irreversible, but He started a new cycle in the form of rebirth through some means." Nurgle muttered to himself.
This cycle is actually Nurgle's ministry, though it's a negative one, like the decay of an animal becoming a breeding ground for flies and insects. Yet, a certain being on the other side completes this metamorphosis from a positive perspective, emerging from its cocoon and reborn. Soaring between the physical universe and the Warp with a new form.
"He has completed the process of rebirth from death on another level. Although he is an opponent, he is worthy of admiration." Nurgle pondered. Does eternity exist in the universe? In theory, it does exist. After all, there are so-called immortals among humans. Their natural lifespan is infinite. To a certain extent, even ordinary attacks cannot kill them. However, for these evil gods who can wander the long river of fate, these so-called immortals are not truly immortal. They can still be killed. When the entropy in their bodies accumulates to a certain level, the noose of fate will kill them!
As gods, they can actually feel these invisible nooses. They try to escape and try to stay away from the noose of fate through sublimation. This is indeed a route, because after completing sublimation, the old self is no longer the self. After sublimation, they exist in the universe in a completely new form and essence. They are no longer the same as before, so the noose of fate targeting them is naturally ineffective.
However, the way this person in front of him dealt with it was very special. Although he had completed sublimation, he did not use sublimation to avoid the noose of fate. This was also unknown to Nurgle.
"Perhaps Tzeentch could glean more secrets from this," Nurgle pondered, but he didn't offer a trade. Partly because they were sworn enemies, and partly because even if he knew, it wouldn't be of much use. The other party would inevitably attain godhood, and as the primary god of a galactic overlord and the first to attain godhood, his destiny would be immense! Nurgle knew that facing fellow gods, it would be nearly impossible to kill them before their destiny waned. Entropy and fate are objective. At a certain point, death is inevitable, but below a certain point, death is inevitable! This is destiny!
"But I don't know who among us this god will target in the future war." Nurgle fell into deep thought. With the Traveler's ascension to the gods, the nature of the future war changed. It was no longer a great game of the gods, but a bloody contest!
The reason is simple. Once a civilization completes the initial stage of divine power, its nature changes. With a true god, it can bestow divine power upon believers, who, relying on divine power, can destroy demons! Even if they, as beings who have attained divine power from the real world, were to send down avatars, even if those avatars were destroyed, I'm afraid many demons would die before they were destroyed! And Nurgle truly loves his children.
"This unknown being is the first, the abomination will be the second, the two main gods." Nurgle shook his huge head and sighed.
If Tzeentch was exasperated and Nurgle worried about his future offspring, then what was Slaanesh doing at this moment? Deep within the Sixth Ring of Slaanesh, the Dark Prince gazed in horror at the scar that pierced through the physical universe and the Warp! The consequences of the Traveler's previous attack were so severe that even according to the laws of the physical universe and the Warp, it would take a considerable time to erase them.
This seems somewhat similar to the Eye of Terror, but it's not the Eye of Terror. The Eye of Terror isn't just a product of the imbalance of power between the real universe and the Warp; it's also the tomb of the Eldar, the galaxy's previous overlords! Slaanesh's awakening nearly wiped the Eldar from the galactic stage. This terrifying aftershock is the long-lasting reverberation of a galactic overlord. It wasn't simply the work of Slaanesh alone; after all, the other three Great Lords awakened earlier and were even more powerful than Slaanesh, yet they didn't create the Eye of Terror.
As a being that had once devoured nearly the entire Eldar pantheon, Slaanesh naturally recognized the source of this attack. He faintly saw the shadow of the Eldar god behind it. Slaanesh destroyed the Eldar and their gods, but that didn't mean he was truly more powerful than the Eldar at their peak. He simply took advantage of luck and the light of the Eldar's corruption to complete his numerous kills.
Now, as the weakest of the Chaos Gods, the opposing human deities have clearly received favor from the Eldar. Undoubtedly, future conflict between the two sides is inevitable. He himself might even be targeted. Slaanesh is conceited, yet at the same time, he suffers from inferiority complex. As the weakest of the Chaos Gods, he has been humiliated by his own kind more than once. And he truly has no other options. Now, he is forced to cooperate with Nurgle, who has stolen his toy. And when his former mortal enemy now possesses the means to harm him, Slaanesh is horrified and uneasy.
"The Traveler's performance was even better than we imagined. I had originally thought he would suffer moderate damage, perhaps even delaying his ascension to godhood, or perhaps even requiring the use of Primordial Water," the Laughing God said. The fall of the civilization dominated by Ran Dan truly exceeded the Laughing God's expectations, and he hadn't anticipated the enemy's ability to deploy such a lethal attack. However, in the end, the outcome of this battle was quite satisfactory, with the Traveler achieving a near-complete victory! This gave the Laughing God a higher opinion of the Traveler.
"But the webway there has been completely destroyed, which is really a pity." The God of the Dead said with a slight sigh. The Eldar God of Death still cares a lot about the legacy of the ancient saints.
"But his fighting ability is indeed beyond our expectations. Wasn't he originally a traveler? His performance and intuition are even better than Kunos (Isa's husband, the god of hunters)" said the God of Death.
"That's because the Traveler wasn't born strong. His journey was more difficult than any of ours. He felt the pressure of survival and strived to improve himself," the Harlequin God said with deep emotion. The Eldar gods had long since realized their own fall, even foreshadowing humanity's rise. Faced with this almost unavoidable fate, the Eldar gods had chosen many candidates from among humans to ascend to the Gods. The Traveler was initially just one of those candidates, a very unremarkable one. Aside from the ability to reincarnate with his memories, he possessed little special qualities; he didn't even possess psychic powers! Back then, the Eldar could reincarnate endlessly.
At that time, many Eldar gods thought that he should be excluded to avoid wasting precious resources, but only the Phoenix King insisted that this seemingly ordinary seed would eventually grow into a towering tree because of his perseverance, his intelligence, his forbearance, and his decisiveness when necessary.
Because the Traveler is ordinary, he must seize every opportunity. Because he is weak, when facing an enemy, he must find ways to protect himself and kill his opponent. Because he was not born strong, he does not have that sense of arrogance. He knows how to integrate with the foundation of this civilization and how to limit his greed and desires.
So, in the end, after experiencing tens of thousands of years of suffering, the Traveler finally ascended to the throne of God. The last and most crucial step, escaping from the clutches of the Chaos God, was accomplished by Himself without the help of the Eldar gods, after all, the latter were unable to take care of themselves.
The existence of travelers ultimately proves one thing: greatness comes from the ordinary, and the fruits of the future begin with the efforts of the present!
"The Lord of Randan is doomed to destruction, and the end of Randan civilization has come. After defeating this greatest enemy, mankind will reach its peak. What about my people? Val seems to still have a trace of soul left. Can we resurrect it?" asked the Clown God.
"That remnant of soul still retains its sanity, but a remnant soul is still a remnant soul after all. The past Val has disappeared forever. His essence, godhead, divinity, and priesthood all disappeared with his fall. He is dead as a god, and only memories and thoughts are left. Resurrection also has prerequisites. For me, it is too difficult to resurrect a dead god." Death sighed and said.
"However, if possible, we can try to reincarnate his residual soul. However, he must walk the path to godhood all over again, and I am not sure whether he can do it." said the God of Death.
"We'll talk about it later. We need to listen to His opinions," said the Harlequin God. Meanwhile, there was another participant in this galactic game: Khorne!
He sat upon the brass throne, brimming with interest at the battle unfolding in the distance. However, a massive golden figure, sword in hand, met His gaze, a rather disastrous sight! After a while, Khorne gave up, and His presence returned to the realm of Khorne. The Emperor also chose to turn back. Just as He had withdrawn His spirit and power from the Warp, something unfolded in the distance, on a planet called Prospero, causing the Emperor's heart to leap! He turned His gaze towards Magnus' homeworld, His face livid.
Chapter 286 Magnus's Folly (8K)
"My lord, we have discovered anomalies among the stars. Several galaxies were wiped out by an inexplicable force in a battle. We don't know what destroyed all of this. What's worse, we can't even get any information or prophecies from it. It is a restricted area for all means of detection, whether it is technology or psychic power." Enan Anku, the guardian of the Prospero Library, said in shock.
"Well, I'm aware of your concerns. A battle was waged in that region by more powerful beings, a battle beyond our comprehension." The Scarlet King smiled inexplicably. "The fate of two civilizations was decided at this moment, and thankfully, we are victorious."
"Sir, I don't understand what you mean. Please forgive my ignorance. Could you explain it more clearly?" Amberforth, the lecturer of the Sky Owl School, asked doubtfully. His tone was filled with a desire to know the truth behind it.
"Over the tens of thousands of years of human civilization, there have been many brilliant and talented people. They are more powerful than we can imagine. Among them, there are even those who can be compared to my father. They can destroy a galaxy with a wave of their hands and make time and space change according to their wishes. And this battle is to fight against the Randan aliens. Well, this is all I can tell you. May the knowledge of our ancestors guide us on the way forward." Magnus said seriously.
"So, our observation mission is over?" Enan asked.
"It's over for now. This was an unprecedented war that has not happened in thousands of years." Magnus said, then waved his hand to signal his descendants to leave temporarily, and the proud Scarlet King fell into deep thought.
In reality, he knew much more. He knew that in the heart of the Randan Empire, a powerful human, nearing the end of his ascension, was engaged in battle with the Randan Overlord. The battle a few weeks prior was merely a test, and the recent battle, which had wiped out an entire sub-sector, was the first round of the decisive battle. He had long sensed something strange in the fluctuations of the Warp. He had consulted the Emperor, hoping for enlightenment.
The Emperor's response was simple yet stern: Magnus was forbidden to peer into the Sea of Souls to obtain any information regarding the battle, nor to attempt to interfere with it. Magnus and his Legion were even temporarily confined to their homeworld. Now Magnus was torn between his thirst for knowledge and his father's prohibition. He had a vague feeling that within that indescribable battle lay unimaginable knowledge and the path to human advancement. He desired to know all that lay beneath.
"The battle is over. I feel the power emanating from that area." Magnus's eyes penetrated the void and looked at the aftermath of the decisive battle that was spreading around.
"The entire impact has expanded at the warp level and may even sweep across several star regions. The warp travel of the Randan aliens has been temporarily cut off, but this place is still far away from Prospero. By the time the aftermath spreads here, it will probably become an inconspicuous stream in the warp." Wisdom gleamed in Magnus's single eye.
"I didn't peek into the secrets. I just took a scoop from the vast tide." Magnus said after thinking for a long time.
"I have a legion to rely on, and I have hundreds of excellent psionic masters to help me solve this problem." Magnus finally made a decision.
"Pass on my orders, I will reveal the secrets of the highest power in the galaxy on Prospero's most magnificent pyramid!" Magnus gave the order, and the entire legion moved accordingly!
---------
On the Great Pyramid of Prospero, 300 wizards of the Thousand Sons Legion stood on the 10th floor of the pyramid. Under their feet were engraved complex psychic arrays that could concentrate everyone's psychic energy together while also preventing psychic backlash. In addition to these wizards, there were nearly a thousand psychic servants and slaves who would be the providers of psychic energy.
Magnus, accompanied by his attendants, walked to the top of the Great Pyramid. At the bottom of the stairs were his subordinates, descendants and subjects. Magnus was the king here. Relying on the power of this Great Pyramid and thousands of psychics, Magnus believed that he would possess power comparable to that of the gods!
"Let's start. I can sense the approach of one of the energy turbulences!" A golden light shot out from Magnus's one eye. In his vision, he saw a mixture of blue and gold energy traveling through the waves of the warp. Although in terms of scale it was just a stream of water in the ever-changing warp tide, it was so dazzling that people could see its extraordinaryness at a glance. Magnus could even feel that this power was not psychic energy!
"Isn't psychic power an existence? Interesting. Perhaps, after research, I can open up a new discipline besides psychic power." Magnus was full of hope and ambition at this moment!
As the ceremony began, the entire pyramid was enveloped in a brilliant psychic energy. Under Magnus's manipulation, a massive spatial rift suddenly appeared atop the Great Pyramid, allowing even mortals to peer through it and see the surging Warp. Waves of the Warp surged forth, but all energy was blocked by the psykers within the Great Pyramid. It must be said that Magnus and the Thousand Sons Legion were quite capable, and their defenses were relatively successful. Unfortunately, Magnus's desire this time was divine power!
Magnus quickly caught sight of the blue-gold light and began to try to control the surrounding Warp turbulence, directing the light towards Prospero. And exactly as he expected, the light rushed towards him like an arrow from a bow, and Magnus was ready to capture it.
He concentrated his psychic energy, weaving it into a large net, ready to catch the "little fish." However, as the "little fish" approached him, he suddenly discovered the violence, scorching heat, and deep murderous intent hidden within this power! Magnus couldn't describe what he saw. At this moment, an inexplicable thought surged through his mind: fear and death!
This "little fish" easily tore through the psychic network set up by Magnus, just like a bomb that easily penetrated the target, and then followed the space crack and was about to land on Prospero!
"Ah!" With a heart-wrenching roar, the red giant Magnus, the primarch of the Thousand Sons Legion, fell painfully from the top of the Great Pyramid. At the same time, in the void, a terrifying force flowed out from the warp, instantly dissolving everything it touched!
"Stop this psychic energy!" The Thousand Sons psykers surrounding the base of the Great Pyramid began to activate the magic circle and release psychic energy. Under the command of Amon and Fusis Ta Ka, a huge psychic shield was erected, and then another team of Thousand Sons tried to save their Primarch.
Then, the psychic shield constructed by hundreds of Thousand Sons wizards was no more formidable than a soap bubble against this terrifying force. In an instant, Fuxis Taka, Captain of the Second Thousand Sons Academy and lecturer in the Falcon School's Holy Temple, tried to resist. He attempted to use teleportation magic to transport himself and his colleagues, but was shocked to find that he could not move. Even his spiritual consciousness told him that time, space, and everything around him were locked by a powerful and mysterious force! There was no escape, no escape!
Just as this force channeled from a distant star region was about to engulf everything, a golden figure appeared at the summit of the Great Pyramid! Time seemed to slow down in an instant, including the strange force from before. Then, a terrifying golden energy tide quickly neutralized the power surging from the spatial rift. A godlike Emperor emerged from the golden light, his face ashen and filled with rage.
"Magnus, I warned you! Don't spy on those who are beyond your comprehension! You promised me!" The Emperor's voice echoed throughout Prospero, like a god's judgment on mortals.
"Father... I... am just... pursuing..." Magnus curled up on the ground in pain. His gorgeous armor and cloak were already riddled with holes from rust, and his body was covered with scars. An unknown force was corroding his demigod body.
"Alas..." The Emperor raised his hand, and a golden torrent of energy cleared away the alien forces involved in Magnus.
"Take your Primarchs back! Everyone, remain in your quarters and await your fate!" the Emperor spoke. Though this time, His clone came alone, His orders could not be disobeyed. Even the most arrogant Thousand Sons Magi bowed and saluted, then returned to their respective quarters with their Primarchs. Without guards, they would not violate the Emperor's decree.
-------
A moment later, only the Emperor remained, standing atop the remaining pyramid, lost in thought. He knew of the first decisive battle between the Traveler and the Lord of Randan. He had specifically warned his descendants, as well as those with great power who might be able to glimpse the distant divine war, not to spy on it, much less attempt to guide this power beyond their control. For it wasn't psychic energy; it contained divine power, the suffering of the gods, the power of rules and taboos, a power completely beyond the reach of mortals.
Although this strike didn't completely kill the Randan Overlord, that's because the Randan civilization itself is a high-level civilization with a chance of galactic dominance, and as the only deity, its power is naturally immense. Put simply, with just this one strike, a piercing deity would have been instantly annihilated! However, Magnus defied the Emperor's prohibition, not only seeking to glimpse the secrets within, but even attempting to channel this power and study it...
Then, Magnus and his Thousand Sons Legion made a terrible mistake... He actually tried to intercept this power. What else could this be but courting death? At this moment, the Emperor suddenly understood what the Traveler had said: "If those who are conceited would listen to advice, then the world would be a wonderful place." The Emperor deeply agreed!
"Magnus is injured." The Emperor's expression was complex. Magnus attempted to capture divine power, but divine power itself was inherently disruptive. This power, in particular, came from the Traveler, a being on the verge of becoming humanity's supreme god. Such a high status rendered the Emperor's predictions ineffective. He realized this only when Magnus prepared to capture it. However, by the time it arrived, Magnus had already been affected. Although the Emperor's divine power had sapped much of it, the damage had already been done. Even within the Primarch's essence, this divine spirit had left a scar on Magnus's very being and soul! It might not be apparent now, but it could cause problems in the future.
"Let's contact the Traveler. I hope there's a solution." The Emperor still stood on the ruins of the Great Pyramid, but his consciousness had already contacted the Traveler and informed him of the entire process.
--------
"Please, my priesthood doesn't include healing and rescue... But a short-term seal is no problem, and I feel that the Eldar Death God should have some research in this area." The traveler who was treating the wound thought for a while and said.
"Your power has accidentally merged into Magnus' body. So, using this power, can you free Magnus from Tzeentch's control?" asked the Emperor.
"I feel you overestimate my power. Even against Slaanesh, all we do is give us hope of regaining a new Fulgrim in the future. In this battle, we face not only your strength and mine, but also the power of the Eldar gods and the malice of the piercing death gods. And all we can deal with is a single Slaanesh. If we attack Magnus, we will face Tzeentch directly. You should be well aware that under the manipulation of Tzeentch and Fate, salvation is too difficult. The best outcome is to obtain a new, untainted Magnus, just like Fulgrim."
"And even if this were to be accomplished, it would be extremely difficult. At least with the power of us Gods of Order, it would be difficult to accomplish this," the Traveler said after carefully calculating each other's strengths. As for whether Primordial Water would work, Primordial Water benefits the physical body, not the spiritual.
"That is truly a pity. I have high hopes for Magnus. He is very similar to me in many ways. I would really like to save him if I can," said the Emperor.
"Yes, you are very similar in your arrogance and pursuit of knowledge. Ambitious, full of curiosity, and believe that you can change everything." The traveler said in his heart.
"If possible, we must move forward with this plan. I want to save my child," said the Emperor.
"Let's try our best." What else could the traveler say in response to the Emperor's request?
