"When the Traveler's followers pray, we can feel a reaction similar to psychic energy. It seems like psychic energy, but not entirely. We don't know what it is exactly." This was Yesugei's answer to Juba.
So Juba and Yesugei submitted this issue to Khan and Bat, and the latter's answer was simple. The Emperor allowed the travelers to believe, so it was safe. Since it was useful, then use it well.
Adhering to this principle, Zhubahan also took a laissez-faire attitude towards the followers of the God of All Machines. Then, these Mechanicus followers began to preach within the fleet! They said that if they believed in the Traveler, those with less faith would receive free weekly bolter maintenance, while those with more faith would receive a free precision plasma pistol manufactured by Huangquan No. 8, Steel Ball, or Lucius Forge World. And by fighting in the name of the Traveler, they would gain the right to purchase limited edition products...
"Okay, let's stop talking about this and get down to business." Zhu Bahan said after clearing his mind of distractions.
As the void curtain opened, Jubahan and his fleet were the first to break out of the warp! Led by Jubahan's flagship, the entire fleet completed its formation change at the fastest speed, simultaneously activating its stealth stance, reducing its own signal, and began to sail towards the distant target.
"One space station and a medium-sized defense fleet. The enemy's number is beyond our expectations." Juba reported to Khan.
"The long-range heavy weapons fleet is in place, and we are about to start the attack." On the other side, Qin Xia's fleet has also arrived. The fleet, mainly composed of Glorious-class battleships and Mechanicus battleships, aimed the long-range light spears and nova cannons on the bow at the distant Randan Space Station. Following Qin Xia's orders, dozens of long-range gunboats began to launch large-scale artillery attacks outside the attack range of the Randan aliens. Thousands or even tens of thousands of tons of shells whizzed towards the distant space station. Accompanied by dazzling flashes, the shield of the Randan Space Station withstood the violent attack.
Obviously, this space station couldn't hold out for long. After a brief hesitation, nearly half of the Randan fleet rushed towards the distant Qinxia fleet. Now it was the turn of the Zhuba fleet. The entire fleet quickly approached the Randan fleet from the side and, with the enemy almost unnoticed, fired a series of guided torpedoes. At the same time, the large-caliber heavy artillery on the central axis of the hull fiercely bombarded the enemy.
Somewhat different from the large-caliber long cannons mounted on the central axis of the hull equipped by the Iron Hands fleet, the heavy artillery of the Juba fleet does not pursue long range, but rather fierce attacks at medium and short distances. On the one hand, this is because the energy output of the weapon is reduced for the sake of high speed, and on the other hand, the White Scars Legion pursues lightning-fast maneuvers and super-strong medium-range attacks, and both the vertically launched torpedo array and the large-caliber short cannon highlight this point.
Zhubahan's cutting-in tactics were very effective. He not only successfully dealt a heavy blow to his opponent, but also cut off the latter's retreat. At this time, the curtain of the warp opened again. Led by Khan's flagship Bladestorm, the White Scars fleet swarmed out and rushed towards the Randan alien.
The ensuing battle was simple. Several squadrons, working in concert with Jubahan, shattered the Randan defense fleet, while the main fleet, led by the Bladestorm, successfully destroyed a distant space station. Then, a barrage of orbital bombardment overwhelmed the planet's defenses. A flurry of vortex and bipolar torpedoes followed, shattering the planet and decimating billions of Randan xenos along with it. One hour and fifty-five minutes later, the White Scars fleet reentered the Warp, racing non-stop to the next battlefield.
Two weeks later, after the fleet led by the Traveler destroyed more than a dozen Randan worlds, the entire fleet temporarily withdrew from the Warp. In an area without planets, the Imperial Fleet took a short rest. During this time, the senior leaders of each legion could also gather on the flagship of their own Primarch to discuss some things.
"The battle went smoothly." Qin Xia said happily.
"It's going very smoothly, but I'm afraid this success won't last long." Zhu Bahan said on the side.
"Tell me about it, Juba Khan," the Khan said, raising his eyebrows slightly.
"The enemy's defense is getting stronger. Obviously, they have noticed our presence. Although they always seem to be one step behind us in responding, I can vaguely feel that they are getting closer and closer to us," said Juba.
"What about Yesugei? What do you think?" asked the Khan.
"Maybe the truth is even more terrifying than what we see. I can feel a shadow moving towards us. In addition, there are several extremely powerful beings. Their mental energy is beyond my imagination. They are like stars in the subspace. If I am not mistaken, this should be the legendary Supreme Brain. This shadow and the Supreme Brain are in the subspace, approaching us from all directions. They want to surround us." Yesugei said with a gloomy face.
"Bart, what do you think?" The Khan looked at Bader's trumpet. In truth, he too had a vague sense of the approaching crisis. The entire fleet had emerged from the warp to rest and recuperate, presumably in preparation for the next battle.
"The main force of the Randan aliens is indeed approaching us, but we have already prepared a response. We will not retreat, we will continue to move forward." Bader said.
"Any plans?" the Khan asked.
"I already have it. Although it will be risky and may even cost a heavy price, I believe it's all worth it. Later, we will go back to the Tower of Light to discuss the next stage of the plan." Balder said firmly.
"That's good." Khan nodded without asking any more questions.
On the other side, Sanguinius had arrived at the Tower of Light, and Balder was telling him about the next stage of the mission.
"In the previous stage, the Khan and his legion took on most of the strike missions. His rapid assault and decisive actions allowed us to destroy several Randan planets in succession, but these happy days will soon pass. We will soon face real challenges, and a large-scale siege will be inevitable. And this is the time for the Space Wolves and the Blood Angels Legion to be dispatched." said Balder.
"I am willing to take on this responsibility and I will lead the attack. So what is our goal for the next stage?" Sanguinius said without hesitation.
"Here is the second largest industrial and naval base of the Randan Empire." Bader pointed slightly at the star map. On the star map, this place was called the Tentacles of Fear.
"Here? It's a very good prey. If I remember correctly, when the Legion Think Tank was making predictions, we found a war moon under maintenance here." Sanguinius said.
"Yes, we did see a war moon, but this war moon was not undergoing maintenance. It was a war moon in good condition." Balder said calmly.
"A full war moon? That means this could be a trap?" exclaimed Sanguinius.
"This is a trap, a trap that distorted the judgment of all the think tanks in our legion. In fact, this is not the end. There should be another war moon where we can't see it. And there may be supreme masters in these two war moons. This is a trap." Balder said.
"Then can we choose to bypass here? Although the Randan Legion is surrounding us from all directions, it should be no problem if we want to leave." Sanguinius asked.
"No problem, but I have a better plan," Bader said.
Chapter 275
Lord Randan is also a god. Although for various reasons, he was ultimately unable to lift the kingdom of God into the subspace, he has gone very far on this path after all. In essence, he is not much different from the traveler, so he can feel that the traveler is gathering troops. He can also vaguely realize the traveler's plans and actions, and decide the next course of action based on these predictions. So he set up a game, a game that makes the traveler choose one of two options.
As Sanguinius had said, if the Traveler wished to leave, then there would be no problem. Even if multiple Randan fleets were forming a massive encirclement, the Traveler could escape the Randan Empire at any cost. The Randan Overlord could accept this outcome. Although the Traveler had led his fleet to eliminate more than a dozen Randan planets in just two weeks, inflicting heavy losses on the Randan aliens, if the Traveler evacuated at this time, it would be the best outcome the Randan Overlord could accept.
Because at this moment, Randan faced not only the Traveler fleet deep in the rear, but also a sustained frontal assault from several Legions Astartes, led by the Emperor. Who were they? The Dark Angels, Iron Hands, Iron Warriors, Ultramarines, Imperial Fists, Salamanders, and Raven Guard. The pressure from these seven Legions was immense, and the Alpha Legion had also begun infiltrating and sabotaging the other side of the Randan Empire. While the Randan Overlord focused his attention on the Traveler, the Imperial Legions, under the Emperor's protection, were wreaking havoc on the enemy.
Although Ran Dan is strong, and there are beings like Ran Dan Overlord, they still lack the foundation compared to humans, especially in this plane, where Ran Dan Overlord needs to fight 1V2! Even weaker travelers have traveled further than him and are stronger.
Therefore, in this situation, Lord Ran Dan had no better way. He could not keep the traveler, and letting the latter leave was undoubtedly the way with the least loss. Once the traveler left, Lord Ran Dan could get a chance to breathe again. After all, once the traveler brought the team back, it would take a long time to prepare before setting off again.
Another strategy was set up within the Tentacles of Terror. If the Traveler refused to withdraw while the situation was favorable and continued to fight behind the Randan, the Randan Overlord would await the Traveler's arrival within the Tentacles of Terror. He currently had at least two War Moons deployed there, one of which housed the Supreme Mastermind. Add to that the presence of His own body, and this was essentially the strongest force the Randan Aliens could muster at this point in time.
Because before, with Ferrus's return with several legions, under the Emperor's planning and blessing, the Imperial Legion destroyed the fourth War Moon and damaged another. And Jonson, with his own legion, also damaged a War Moon. So far in the battle, the Randan aliens have built a total of 1 War Moons, of which four have been completely lost, two damaged, and only five operational. The Randan Overlord can already bring two War Moons to block the Travelers, which is almost the limit! At most, one more War Moon can be deployed, and everything is fair. If a third War Moon is deployed, the Randan will inevitably pay a price.
This situation gave the Traveler a strategic idea. It wasn't that he couldn't retreat, but rather that he wanted to quickly eliminate the Randan aliens. The Traveler had already made up his mind: he would deal with the Randan Overmind, while the Endless Journey would deal with the war moon with the Supreme Mastermind. Next, the two Primarchs and several mobile aerial fortresses would deal with the other war moon. In terms of high-level combat power, the Traveler's fleet was no match for their opponent. Of course, the Randan fleet had the advantage in terms of fleet size, and they were well prepared.
After careful analysis, the Traveler concluded that this battle was a struggle between the two sides. A decisive battle of this magnitude would certainly not be decided in a short period of time. If the Overlord of Randan could pull in a War Moon during the stalemate, the situation would likely be unfavorable for his side. However, this was within the Traveler's tolerance. He needed to create a situation of disadvantage in order to lure the Overlord of Randan into the ambush set by him and the Eldar gods, and inflict severe damage upon him with the power of the stars and the gods!
At that time, the Emperor once asked the Traveler why he was so anxious, and the Traveler's answer was very simple, because the time he could stay in the real universe was very short at this time, and the exclusion of the rules of reality forced him to hurry up. Otherwise, once the Traveler became a god, the Emperor would have to take action himself.
Ask yourself, aside from the Star Gods, when is a God-ascending being at its most powerful? It's definitely after achieving godhood and establishing their kingdom. But when is a God-ascending being's influence on the real universe greatest? It's definitely when they're about to ascend to godhood, but haven't yet. Because at this point, they've essentially become gods, but haven't yet entered the Warp. They are truly gods walking the real universe, unrivaled except by beings of their own level!
This was the case with the Traveler, and indeed with the Dark Gods. For example, after Slaanesh's birth, he exploited the chaos in the physical universe and the Warp to wreak havoc, nearly wiping out the weakened Eldar gods and slaying the gods of other races. The entire Warp became turbulent, nearly halting all Warp travel within the galaxy. And what about when Slaanesh became a god? Unleashing such a massive Warp storm became impossible.
Therefore, the Traveler was eager to engage in a decisive battle with the Randan Overlord because He could not remain in the real universe for much longer. Once He became a true god, his spirit and body inhabiting the Warp, the Emperor would have to personally deal with the Randan Overlord. Therefore, to conserve the Emperor's power, the Traveler had to end the Randan War as quickly as possible, or at least kill the Randan Overlord first! Therefore, He decided to fight the Randan Overlord in the Tentacles of Terror.
"Let Khan and the others come. I have a plan." Bader said after thinking for a while. Half an hour later, Khan also arrived, and with him were representatives from various legions.
--------
"Everyone, I've called you here for an important matter," Balder began. He was increasingly removed from his humanity. Even though he was trying his best to suppress his true nature, in the eyes of some powerful psykers, an indescribable, overwhelming pressure emanated from him. It was indescribable, impossible to look at.
"Everyone should be clear about the current situation. We can choose to evacuate temporarily, or we can choose to engage in a large-scale and brutal battle with the Randan aliens. Some people want to avoid the limelight temporarily because an extremely powerful existence has arrived. He is the Lord of Randan, a combination of the power, spirit and luck of the Randan aliens. He is extremely powerful, beyond everyone's imagination. But what I want to say is that as long as I am here, I can guarantee that in the next battle, the Lord of Randan will not interfere with your battle, and the war moon carrying the Supreme Mastermind will be dealt with by the Endless Journey." Balder said.
"However, we are in the territory of the Randan aliens, attacking the positions they have already set up. Our overall military strength and fleet are at a disadvantage. If we can retreat temporarily, after resting, would it be more appropriate to cooperate with the fleet in the front to launch another attack?" Locke asked after hesitating for a moment.
"From a conventional point of view, your tactics are more reasonable, but from my point of view, I'm afraid it won't work. I don't have much time. If I can't defeat the Overlord of Randan within the limited time, then the Emperor will have to do it himself." At this moment, a crack seemed to appear on Balder's face, and a deep blue light instantly filled the entire venue. Everyone seemed to see the blue ocean hovering in the subspace.
"This..." At this moment, the faces of the people in the venue changed drastically. Except for Khan and the Angel, who behaved normally because they had been informed in advance, the others were stunned. Some of them had tried to draw their weapons. Their heads gave orders, but their bodies did not obey. In just a few seconds, everyone suddenly found that they seemed to have no idea of resisting. Subconsciously, everyone realized that this powerful existence was kind to them, and they should maintain enough respect for this existence.
"Everyone, maybe I am no longer considered a human being in your eyes. But please believe me, I will eventually exist for human civilization." Balder said.
"God?!" A somewhat absurd idea popped up in Locke's mind. Locke did not believe in the existence of gods, but at this moment, he seemed to vaguely feel that this word might not be illusory.
"What a majestic being! The perfection my father pursued pales before this one." Akurduna was deeply shocked. He couldn't describe what he saw, but he felt it was a perfect being of a higher dimension! His father and brothers seemed to still pursue perfection in appearance and behavior. How shallow!
"It's truly incomprehensible. The secrets of the First Legion are nothing more than toys before such a vast power." Astjos, a knight from the First Legion, slowly lowered his head, his hood obscuring his expression. The Knight Commander of the First Legion vaguely recalled certain events from the past, such as his own Primarch's reaction and Russ's subsequent compensation. It was hard to say whether these events had no connection to the man before him. He also recalled the advice and reminders that Jonson had given him before his departure.
"Our father must know better," Ascius thought.
"Everyone, remember, we are human beings, and we will be the kings of the real universe. We do not need to worship alien gods, nor do we need to rely on the evil forces in the subspace. We believe in ourselves, our ancestors, reason and science. Remember, even as powerful as I am, I am still a human being." Balder said.
"My lord, with all due respect, psychic power is not rational," said Garo.
"Psionic energy is also rational. It's a form of energy, fundamentally no different from the nuclear reactors and antimatter reactors we use. Knowledge is not wrong, but the means of using knowledge and the understanding of knowledge may be wrong. I've simply gone further than you and see things more clearly."
"Garro, I know what you are worried about. Don't worry, after this war is over, I will go where I should go and will not affect you. You should be able to see that my condition is not stable. Psychic power is indeed dangerous, but sometimes, psychic power is necessary." Balder said calmly.
"My Lord, I was wrong." Garro instantly understood what Balder meant, and he remembered what the Khan had once said to him. It was clear that the being before him was ready to fight for his life. Garro fell to the ground and apologized to Balder. He was ashamed of himself, after all, he had just questioned a powerful being willing to sacrifice himself for humanity.
"We are willing to obey your orders." The Khan and the angel stood up and saluted.
"That's it, after resting, I will lead you to destroy Randan's tentacles of fear. The war moon, Randan fleet and planet there will be completely blown to ashes. Let us set off the prelude to Randan's destruction!" Balder said finally.
"Destroy the aliens and let humanity shine forever!" The cheers from the audience were like thunder!
-------
"Are you and my father on the same path? Perhaps one day, my father will follow the same path?" After everyone else left, the two Primarchs stayed, clearly eager to learn more. Sanguinius spoke first.
"Our paths are similar but different. We are both on the path of ascension, but the specific paths are different. How should I put it? The Emperor was born strong, while I am much weaker. So this time, I will be lazy and deal with an easy one first. In the future, He will lead you to deal with more difficult ones." Balder said.
"So will we meet again after this time?" asked the Khan.
"After this war, my body and my spirit will indeed not remain in the physical universe, but in the future, perhaps my clone can still come to the real universe. Perhaps, we will have the opportunity to fight side by side in the future." Balder said. To be honest, although as a being who ascended to godhood from a human in the real universe, theoretically as long as he is willing to reduce his power, his clone can still come back, but when he will come back is hard to say. After all, the traveler is also the first human to become a god, and he has no experience to speak of.
"Beings like you are called gods in history books. So, can I call you a deity?" the Khan asked cautiously. Honestly, he didn't have a favorable impression of deities. After all, the Primarchs were all proud, especially the Khan, who believed that his fate was in his own hands.
"If you insist on thinking so, then so be it," said Balder.
"Does the faith of the Traveler within the Mechanicus have anything to do with you?" the Khan asked leisurely. Khan knew that the being before him had surpassed his own imagination, his own father even more so. Well, if a faith wanted to spread within the Imperium of Man, how could it possibly succeed without the consent of these two? And on closer inspection, the Traveler, worshipped by the Mechanicus, seemed quite similar to the supernatural powers displayed by Baldur. After all, Baldur was known for his incredibly high Warp speeds and the ability to open doors and leap into people's faces.
"I am the traveler." Balder said with a smile.
"This..." Sanguinius was stunned. "I thought a being like you wouldn't exaggerate," he said with a hint of disappointment. After all, he had also read the boasts of the Mechanicus's Traveler sect about their own beliefs. These claims were so grandiose, claiming that the Traveler had guided human civilization and travel since the dawn of time, reincarnated countless times, and created countless glories and technologies. All of this struck Sanguinius as unreal.
"Actually, what they say is a bit of an understatement." Balder smiled. "Do you know the Golden Throne? My technology is there. I invented the warp drive and navigation system ten thousand years ago. It's no exaggeration to say that I pioneered human long-distance navigation."
"......." Khan and Sanguinius fell silent.
"It is precisely for these reasons that the Emperor and I have reached a cooperation agreement," Balder said with emotion. If he hadn't already secured the authority to travel to humanity, the Emperor wouldn't have been so easy to talk to!
"Senior." Khan and Sanguinius saluted solemnly.
"Are you promoting the worship of travelers now in order to accumulate strength? Using human faith to enhance your own power?" Sanguinius felt a little uncomfortable.
"Haha, if I could, I'd rather not have faith and just stay in the physical universe," Balder said with a sigh. "Faith makes me strong, but it also pushes me away from the real universe. Everything in the world has a price, and power is no exception. When we gain greater power, we pay an unimaginable price."
"Actually, I have been in the real universe for tens of thousands of years, and I like this kind of life very much. If possible, I would like to continue." Balder said meaningfully.
"I understand," the Khan said after a moment's contemplation. Clearly, someone of Balder's stature could be described as a supreme being in the physical universe, a true free and unfettered being.
"So in the future, the path you said we will take will also require absorbing the power of faith?" asked the Khan.
"Maybe, maybe not, but faith will eventually become the means of human unity. After all, the Empire is also a form of faith," Balder said. "Of course, if you don't want to leave, you don't have to. The future is yours to choose."
"I believe we will make the right choice." Sanguinius said seriously.
"It seems like we talked about a lot of taboo things today." Khan sighed.
"It doesn't matter. You will soon forget what you said today, and one day in the future, you will awaken again." The traveler's face appeared and looked at the two primarchs with a smile.
"?!" Sanguinius and Khan were shocked, feeling that some memories seemed to have been erased, but no matter how hard they tried to recall they could not remember it!
Chapter 276 Face to face with Ran Dan Lord (5K)
"Huh..." The Traveler sighed as he watched the two Primarchs depart. He had spoken a great deal today, satisfying the curiosity of the two chosen ones. But it was clear that some of these things were beyond their comprehension. So, what should he do? The simplest solution was to seal their memories. The Traveler would unlock them when they needed them.
Regardless, after a period of rest and recuperation, the entire expeditionary fleet's combat effectiveness was restored, and the fleet's internal consensus was unified. Meanwhile, the traveler sensed the shadow within the void, drawing ever closer. The Lord of Randan, He has arrived! He resides within a massive construct resembling a planet. The term "war moon" is completely inappropriate for such a massive construct. His powerful mental projection exists within the Warp, like a strange and profound ocean.
"Thank goodness you took the wrong path." The traveler sensed the souls within the vast ocean of darkness, the unyielding spirits and resentment of those devoured during the Dark Overlord's repeated devouring and evolution. Among these souls were Randan brain-eaters and other alien races. Deities have their limits. They can wield power with a single word, flattening planets and extinguishing stars at will, but they also have limits. Perhaps the Randan Overlord began as a powerful psychic, but as his rapid devouring and evolution grew, his power grew, and his consciousness underwent a severe split.
This split in consciousness effectively left the Overmind in a trance. His divine nature was weakened, and reckless actions and madness constantly washed away his remaining sanity. This misguided path also blinded him to the potential threat. In the war against the Randan, the Traveler already had the upper hand. However, the Traveler now knew that if he truly unleashed his divine power, some of the evil gods within the Warp would undoubtedly be aware of his presence, and some might even vaguely foresee a change in their fate.
"So, Tzeentch, what will you decide?" The Traveler fell into deep thought. While the Randan Overlord was powerful, He had never been the Traveler's primary enemy.
"Expeditionary Fleet, prepare to enter the Warp! Let's go!" Following the Traveler's command, the massive fleet once again entered the Warp, rushing towards their fateful battlefield. Meanwhile, in a higher dimension, the Traveler was already preparing for his first divine battle with the Randan Overlord!
"Actually, for a war of this scale, it would be better to have Lord Ferrus or Lord Horus command it," Torgaddon said with a hint of regret aboard the White Scars' mobile fortress, the Vast Sky. He saw that even the Primarchs would be unable to handle a battle of this magnitude. Lord Balder would have been a very good choice, but before departure, the Tower of Light and the Endless Journey dismissed all other personnel, and Balder also stated that he had no time to interfere in the battle's command.
According to the previous agreement, the actual fleet battle command center has been moved to the White Scars' space fortress, the Vast Sky, and the commander will be the White Scars Primarch, while the frontline commander is Sanguinius. This arrangement has caused some people to feel a little regretful. Many people believe that it would be better if the two prestigious commanders, Horus or Ferrus, were in charge. Of course, as soldiers, they must obey orders, and it is indeed more appropriate for the two Primarchs to serve as supreme commanders at this time.
"Jaghatai, my brother, how did you plan this engagement?" Sanguinius asked.
"We can't control the higher-level battles, and they don't have much to do with us. Lord Bader and the Endless Journey can only help us stop the Randan Overlord and a war moon with a Supreme Mastermind stationed there, which is already the limit. We need to deal with 1 to 2 war moons and the endless Randan fleet. In a battle here, our fleet is destined to be at a disadvantage, so the previous positional warfare has absolutely no chance of winning, so mobile warfare is the only way. And our warships also have the advantage of speed." Khan said.
"I am willing to obey your arrangements, Chagatai, but if it is just dodging, I don't agree." Sanguinius was also influenced by certain rumors. In his eyes, Chagatai seemed to be the kind of person who was more opportune.
"Of course we're not just dodging," Chagatai said with a smile. "If possible, we'd even like to destroy a war moon, or even the shipyards and planets in this system." The Khan then laid out his entire plan: maneuvering was merely to manipulate the enemy and find opportunities, but the ultimate goal was still to kill them.
"It's a good plan, but can we really carry it out?" Sanguinius asked.
"Of course, we have this." The Khan stretched out his hand, and in his palm were several crystals shining with blue light. These crystals made Sanguinius, the Primarch, feel extremely dangerous and alert.
"What is this?" Sanguinius's eyes changed slightly.
"I can't explain exactly what they are. Just before, the voice of Lord Bader sounded in my mind, and then these things were sent to me. No one else can see them. These crystals can strengthen our fleet, and even allow the entire fleet to be teleported instantly, or open a space tunnel. I can't understand the principle, and I don't know what this is, but I know how to use them." Khan sighed and said. He finally glimpsed the meaning of the so-called higher-end combat power. This is a power beyond worldly understanding.
"May these mysterious creations aid us in our victory," said Sanguinius.
-------
"Everyone, human civilization needs us to do our duty in today's battle! And I will lead the charge!" A voice suddenly sounded in everyone's mind, and then the Tower of Light and the Endless Journey were wrapped in a blue halo, and then broke away from the fleet like a meteor. A moment later, the curtain of the void was torn open, and the traveler appeared in the real universe with his vehicle, and behind him was a huge imperial fleet.
"Lord Randan, prepare for our war." In an instant, the Traveler retracted all his clones, his true form appearing atop the throne of the Tower of Light. Not far away, the War Planet, home to the Lord Randan, began to move. In tacit agreement, the two entities flew out of the galaxy. A moment later, the two entities appeared a light-year away! Behind the Tower of Light and the War Planet, the Endless Journey and a Randan War Moon followed their master. Since Slaanesh entered the Warp, the physical universe has once again ushered in a war between the Ascended Gods! Today's battle will determine the future of the galaxy for tens of thousands of years!
A colossal blue figure, too vast for mortals to gaze upon, emerged from the Tower of Light. Its form quickly expanded to the size of a planet, and the Tower of Light transformed, becoming a spear held by a giant. In the distance, the war structure inhabited by the Randan Overmind extended countless tentacles. The war machine, armed with metal and dark technology, suddenly transformed into a fusion of flesh and machinery. The entire planet gradually stretched from its spherical form, forming a massive octopus-like object. As the two Supremes prepared for battle, the barrier between the Warp and the physical universe collapsed within a system, the Warp's energies and the laws of the physical world constantly eroding each other. If one had to describe the state of this space, it would be a miniaturized Eye of Terror, but everything within it was controlled by the two Ascended Gods!
Meanwhile, on the other side, the Endless Journey had already engaged in a firefight with the Randan War Moon. Even as deputies of the two gods, they still did not dare to get too close to the battlefield of the gods.
How did the gods fight? With brute force, tearing apart the enemy? With powerful psychic energy, shattering air and time? No, not really. The gods' most deadly form of combat was an attack on the fate of their opponents, much like how the Eldar Pantheon had used the stars to cast curses and omen upon the C'tan. This attack was extremely difficult to avoid, and would erupt at some point in the future, just as the Eldar gods were aware of their own downfall, yet powerless to prevent it.
Well, the Traveler's assessment was somewhat selfish. In the battle of divine energy and power, the Traveler didn't hold much of an advantage over the Randan Overlord. Both sides condensed their divine power into weapons, shattering space and blurring time. However, all of this had very limited effect on the gods, whose essence was immortal. The shattering of space and the passage of time wouldn't fundamentally weaken them.
Just like an entropy weapon hitting an ordinary person instantly ages them by thousands of years, turning them into ash, while hitting Boss Pi merely makes him age a little. For a god, this passage of time is actually the most ineffective attack.
The two sides conflated the physical universe and the Warp within a galaxy into a tangled mess. Unspeakable power shattered all non-divine matter within. Even a glance in that direction was extremely dangerous, for the knowledge and power hidden within could drive a mortal to madness in an instant. The memetic interference of knowledge and power had already caused severe pollution to mortals. The two racial gods were striving to prevent the spread of this pollution. An invisible black curtain obscured the battlefield, making everything within it invisible to mortals or demons.
