The morning of the second day came very late.

It doesn't mean the sky is dark; it's just that the girl slept for too long and opened her eyes to the warm glow of the morning and noon.

Pulling at the zipper of her sleeping bag, she broke free from the cocoon-like bedding. This was probably the best sleep Nanyin had ever had.

Tranquility, warmth, and anticipation for the future.

Even she struggled to open her eyelids, and upon waking, her thoughts were slow and she was slightly dazed.

"Buy?"

Fortunately, a familiar whisper awakened the girl's mind.

As my gaze shifted to the side, Sylveon's delicate face also came into view.

Without making any big movements, the little guy simply waved a ribbon and took out a comb and hair clip that had been prepared in advance from inside the tent to tidy up the messy hair.

Did I oversleep?

She reached out and groped around the sleeping bag a few times, and after a few soft clattering sounds, she successfully retrieved the watch.

The scale is pointing to the left, and the shifting pointer tells me that it's past nine o'clock and I'm heading towards noon.

"Buy~"

While gently comforting her, the little beast twisted the girl's side hair into a braid and pulled it behind her. Taking advantage of the dazed state after the long dream, it carefully clipped the Eevee hair clip in place, looked her up and down, and nodded with satisfaction.

She didn't pay any attention to her child's little thoughts. Nan Yin simply gently hugged the former, lifted the curtain, and walked outside.

Unlike the tranquil space inside the tent, the melodious birdsong and the crackling of the fire were the first sounds to reach the ear. Immediately afterward, the princess with the pink diamond on her head turned her head to look at the sound and gazed into the distance.

Upon seeing the girl she longed for, she murmured her longing with joy, a longing she had felt after a night apart.

"Nanyin~"

"I'm here."

A simple greeting precedes the fragrance that wafts into the air.

Did you make breakfast?

"Yes, it's the soup-making method you taught me before, Nan Yin."

Putting away the stirring ladle, the iron pot behind Tianxi contained a pale yellow broth, which was stirred by a gentle breeze. The fried tofu floating on the surface rippled slightly, stirring the cilantro pieces that garnished it.

"Yeah, Nan Yin, come quick! Tianxi's cooking is amazing too, it instantly made me feel all sleepy."

With soup still clinging to her lips, Korni pushed aside the weeds and cleared away the dust, making room for the girls to gather around the campfire.

"It's just that Nanyin music is well-taught."

The voice was barely audible, but a shy blush had already appeared on the tips of the little one's ears.

"Thank you for your help."

Her words carried an apology. After living with the children for so many days, Nan Yin had come to regard cooking as her responsibility. Now that she had troubled the children, she naturally felt ashamed.

"It's no trouble at all. We've always been the ones being taken care of by you."

Rejecting the previous statement, Diancie brought out a bowl and plate and filled the girl's bowl to the brim.

"..."

No longer speaking or hesitating, Nan Yin simply lowered her eyelids, held the spoon handle, and sipped the still-warm soup, keeping her thoughts of gratitude hidden deep within her heart.

Such days and nights are the best reward for her hard work and dedication.

As the warmth dispelled the drowsiness from her eyes, the girl realized that the little indigo beast had disappeared.

Using her telekinesis to capture information, she saw Scorpion lowering its tail and, along with the Slowpoke lying beside it, fishing for river fish, mimicking the actions of the creature.

Although no living being would be fooled by those poisonous stingers.

That was the idea, but after a short wait, several Magikarp spontaneously surfaced, foaming at the mouth.

To retract the foreword, this also seems to be a means of adapting to the environment.

Meeting the little guy's smug gaze, and putting the many materials it had collected into her backpack, Nan Yin couldn't help but sigh that it was precisely because of the former's preferences that she was able to create certain things with strict requirements.

Features include advanced Paluk balls, unique saddles, and exclusive energy cubes.

She tidied up the piled-up luggage and cleaned up the remaining trash. Although she didn't consider herself a saint, she would still do her best to do what she could.

After all, it is this world that has given me the happiness and warmth I have today, and so many well-behaved children by my side.

"Let's go."

After fastening the straps of their ankle boots and straightening their knee-high stockings, the girls nodded in acknowledgment, and without further hesitation, they embarked on their journey.

She had decided on her destination a few days prior—the Basilica di Barfam, Carlos's famous museum. Her reason for going was not only to learn more about the history of this land, but also to explore the reasons why the three dragons of Unova left their mark.

The two places were not too far apart, and with the speed of lightning bestowed by the sacred bird, the old-fashioned town soon appeared in the corner of the field of vision.

After leaping off Zapdos's back, and supporting her friend who was seeing stars, Nan Yin deliberately slowed down the flight this time and also bought motion sickness medicine for her friend in advance.

Therefore, the former's symptoms were not particularly severe.

"Can you still walk?"

The girl never beats around the bush when she asks questions; she only considers her words appropriately based on the facts.

And now is the time to be certain.

"It's ok."

Her stomach was still churning, but looking at Nan Yin's close gaze, Ke Erni forced a smile and suppressed her discomfort.

She didn't want to reveal her vulnerability and cause the other person to worry too much; this was her only stubbornness.

That being said, the tension in the muscles and the feedback from the waveguide both tell the former what the truth is.

Looking at the girl's face, Nan Yin didn't say a word. She simply put her arm around Ke Erni's waist, then supported her neck and shoulders, and helped her walk slowly forward.

Silence is a way to maintain the self-respect of both parties and a hidden act of goodwill. As for physical contact, the girl has never cared much about it and treats it as nothing.

Stepping into the interior of Gumu Town, one can see the ingenious combination of ancient fortresses and modern architecture in this land.

Towering spire stands tall, cylindrical masonry walls cling to it, and statues of people are everywhere.

If I had to describe it in simple terms, it would simply be—

"Upright and vigorous".

Together with Diancie, they marveled at the opulent interior decorations and intricate curves. As they approached, they arrived at the midpoint of their journey: the Balfam Palace.

After handing over the pre-purchased tickets, this 300-year-old building truly unveiled its mysterious veil to each other.

As they climbed the stairs leading to the upper floors, the scenery before their eyes changed one after another, as if they were actually walking into a Gaulish castle.

Various mottled paintings and all kinds of luxurious objects are just appetizers.

As you walk further in, many exquisitely carved statues come into view one by one.

"That statue looks like the old king from before."

Pointing her finger at the large sculpture behind the clay giant, Korni couldn't help but exclaim in surprise.

This is undeniable; without even getting close, these ancient traces come rushing in through the sights and descriptions, interpreting the weight of history.

Stopping our pace doesn't mean we've lost interest; it means we've reached the point where we want to get a closer look at Nanyin music.

Standing to the side, wings outstretched, heads raised in stare-at-a-time, are two majestic dragon-shaped statues, also known as the Three Dragons of the Way, the heroes who saved the people of the world.

Looking to the left, she first looked at Reshiram, the dragon god who symbolized reality.

With its cloud-like plumage, smooth shoulders and waist, and slender neck, strength and beauty are embodied in the same moment. Further down, the tail end, resembling a machine, complements the long back fur, creating a harmonious blend of technology and biology, just like in the present moment.

As the waveguide unintentionally touched it, Nan Yin actually penetrated the stone statue and saw the pure white crystals that were shining brightly inside.

[Item: Bright Stone; Characteristics: Unique, Eternal]

[Description: The form Reshiram took after his physical body was destroyed; it is said that he awaits the arrival of a hero.]

The description in the words has entered my mind, and a calm and ethereal voice is singing in my ears.

That was the call from the Dragon God, directly to the heart.

"The destined one, please look up."

P.S.: That's all for today's 2000 words. Time to take a break. Thanks for your hard work, everyone.

Also, it's the beginning of the month, so I'd like to ask for everyone's votes (whispering).

Happy April Fool's Day! Sending love~

Chapter Seventy-One: Acknowledgment and the Legendary Hero

2500 years ago, a meteorite fell from the sky and crashed to the earth. Through plate tectonics and natural evolution, the Dragon Tower was born.

The legendary power reflected in the world; the wings of the dragon god cast shadows. People sought powerful strength and spiritual support, and gradually, they spontaneously gathered on this land, thus forming the original region.

However, things are unpredictable. In order to obtain more land and necessary resources, wars between nations inevitably broke out. Fortunately, a pair of twin heroes adapted to the times and led the way.

They ascended the Dragon Tower, seeking the legendary power. The Dragon God was moved by their sincerity and descended upon the battlefield to quell the conflict. The land at the edge of the sea, a place where diverse cultures converged, was named the United Nations, a nation known for its inclusiveness and annexation.

After the war, the two heroes' ideals gradually diverged. The elder brother hoped to construct reality, while the younger brother sought to pursue ideals. Their conflict intensified, eventually escalating into a struggle. The dragon god who had once helped them also split into two opposing spirits.

The black dragon who pursues ideals and leads the world toward hope is named Zekrom; the white dragon who pursues truth and leads the world toward goodness is named Reshiram.

This renewed war lasted for several years, but there was no result. The two dragons, due to excessive exhaustion, perished one after another, turning into stubborn stones and wandering in unknown corners of the world.

The twin heroes realized their mistakes, but it was too late. The earth's veins shattered, the mountains and rivers were destroyed, and they prayed to the power of Victini, the god of victory, and gave their lives to restore the former environment and reconcile the divided land.

Finally, as time passed, the dragon god's broken body transformed into the neutralized Kyurem, quietly awaiting the awakening of truth and ideals in the giant's cave.

This is the story of the founding of the United States, and the origin and division of the Three Dragons of the Way.

Driven by a thirst for knowledge and a desire to explore, Nan Yin never imagined that she would be able to truly touch this legend that she had only heard about before.

As the words described, she raised her head and looked straight ahead. In her field of vision, soft white light was intertwined above the pure-colored crystal, and hazy lines were vaguely outlining its shape.

First, her azure eyes; then, her soft white feathers; and finally, her slender, snowy neck and graceful figure.

Looking back at Korni, and seeing that she had no reaction and even seemed confused, Nan Yin confirmed her earlier thought.

This is not a real, tangible thing, but an illusion that exists only in the mind.

Without saying anything more, the elegant and graceful white dragon simply lowered its head and quietly gazed at the white-haired girl.

"you......"

I couldn't help but use honorifics; the Balfam Temple was less than half the size of the Dragon God.

With a flap of its wings, it can soar through the blue sky and land right in front of you, thus occupying every corner of your field of vision.

Even with its illusory size, Reshiram surpassed all the Pokémon Nan Yin had ever seen so far, and under its calm and gentle gaze, she felt a subtle pressure and lowered her eyes.

Unlike cute creatures like mythical beasts, and unlike sacred birds that live in flocks, its inner emotions are expressed as endless sighs.

—This is the real legendary Pokémon.

Thinking this through, almost immediately the girl turned her gaze to the majestic black dragon statue standing on the other side.

However, the solid rock and empty space inside refuted the idea that Nanyin had spontaneously arisen.

[The dragon of ideals, Zekrom, has awakened; however, the hero has been misled and embarked on a path of no return.]

The same voice that noticed the confusion in the girl's eyes and brows, as soft as a cloud and as deep as soil, immediately appeared in the girl's mind, offering appropriate guidance.

Lacking the arrogance of a legend, his demeanor and words revealed the dragon god's peace and his unique concern for the former.

The exchange of thoughts was completely undisguised. Seeing the gentle white dragon cast her gaze upon her and lower her snowy neck to her side, Nan Yin also realized that she seemed to be special to the other party.

Based on the titles of the destined ones, she spontaneously compared them to the twin heroes in the biographies who saved Unova and were affirmed by the Dragon God.

[Just as you thought, humankind, you possess the truth within you and the potential to become a hero.]

A drop of water falls into a pond, creating ripples that are words that reach the depths of the heart and a response to thoughts.

"Booy?!"
