The afterlife blew up Gensokyo

When the police arrived at the scene, the magical boy had already left using his magic, leaving behind only a charred, dried-up corpse.
Two weeks later, the live stream about the magical boy officially started online. Faced with the unknown, mysterious, and powerful forces, the data detected from the corpse of the Corpse King, and the magical boy's warnings about the end of the world, the country that had been deliberately suppressing this news and public opinion finally chose to compromise and began to actively cooperate.
Two and a half months later, in the face of a massive tsunami that swept across multiple countries, the legendary magical boy single-handedly quelled the tsunami and saved countless lives, becoming an instant household name worldwide, all the while being broadcast live online.
At this point, the die was cast.
Three months later, the virus finally broke out in full force, and the end of the world was declared. However, with the entire world's population having developed immunity, this full-scale outbreak of the virus had no effect whatsoever. Instead, it accelerated human evolution, and many people with supernatural abilities appeared around the world.
Thus, humanity entered the era of superpowers.
But in this new world filled with dazzling stars, the once-illustrious magical boy has never appeared again.
Three years later, at the seaside.
"...That's right, that's how it is. When I excitedly ran to tell them the good news, I found that the brother and sister who used to live next door to me had left sometime ago, probably continuing their travels."
Lying comfortably in the sun lounger, Su Ning looked at his wife with a sigh.
In the entire world, the only person who knew he was that magical boy was his wife—his former lover who sacrificed herself to save him during the apocalypse.
Although the apocalypse did not come thanks to his efforts, the two of them still met as if by fate. Su Ning did not hide anything from his wife, and even told her about his rebirth.
He was content with his peaceful life, but there was still a slight lingering unease in his heart...
Reaching out to pick up her two-year-old son who had walked up to her, Su Ning spoke to him with an unusually kind smile.
"Son, do you want to become a hero admired by all?"

Chapter Eight: A Bizarre Beginning and an Absurd World
The table swallowed my hand and let out a satisfied burp.
On the mottled, yellowed wall, these words were written in large characters in blood.
This is an ordinary room with a bed, a desk, a trash can, a lamp, a kitchen, a toilet, and a wardrobe.
It was dark, and a light rain was falling outside the window. The dim yellow light above flickered.
"This world makes me feel very uncomfortable. What kind of world is this?"
Looking at the words on the wall, Yukari Yakumo couldn't help but shrink back slightly.
"It's like a world on the verge of destruction; we're too late."
"Looking closer to the wall with great interest," Shi Bai replied.
"As for why we ended up in this room, to be honest, I don't know either. This world is a complete mystery... But I haven't encountered anything this interesting in a long time."
"Interesting? I just feel a chill run down my spine."
Looking at the desk by the window, still dripping blood from its underside onto the floor, Yukari Yakumo frowned deeply.
"In the last world, a virus wiped out the world. In this world, are these everyday household items turned into man-eating monsters?"
"If only it were that simple. The world seems far more complicated than I imagined... I'll be fine, but you'd better be careful."
After glancing at Yakumo Yukari, Shi Bai turned and walked to the wardrobe placed by the window, then casually opened the wardrobe door.
"Although you spent most of your time at home watching TV series online in the previous world, leaving all the things that you should have done to that tool, overall... it was interesting."
When his gaze fell upon the contents of the wardrobe, Shi Bai smiled and raised an eyebrow with great interest.
Inside the wardrobe, several clean human skins were neatly hung out to dry, their empty eye sockets staring blankly in his direction.
"I don't find this place interesting at all. The world reeks of rotting food, making me want to vomit."
With a casual wave of her hand, she sliced the desk that had been quietly moving toward her in half. Yukari Yakumo made no attempt to hide the disgust in her words, especially when she saw a pile of cleanly gnawed bones rolling out of the desk she had cut open.
"It's obvious that these pieces of furniture have come to life, but even furniture that has come to life is still just furniture."
He casually closed the wardrobe door, shutting out the empty eyes of the human skin, glanced at the desk where Yakumo Yukari had killed someone, and shrugged indifferently.
"They are still made of wood, so they are easy to kill. Even a simple fire can burn them all down."
Walking over to the desk that had been cut in half and was lying on the ground twitching slightly, Shi Bai reached out and picked up a piece of white paper mixed in with the bones. After glancing at the contents of the paper, he looked at Yakumo Yukari.
“You can take a look at this blank sheet of paper; there’s something very interesting written on it.”
"You'd better keep that piece of white paper away from me. I don't want to see teeth suddenly grow out of a piece of paper, pounce on my face, and try to bite me to death."
Frowning, Yukari Yakumo walked to Shibai's side and looked at the white paper. However, after seeing the contents recorded on the paper, she was stunned.

The cigarette in my hand is smiling at me, because I don't smoke.
The trash can kept moving because it was trying to kick out the garbage inside, but unfortunately, it always failed.
The floor was awakened by the noise from the trash can, and in a fit of rage, kicked it towards the door, intending to throw it outside, but I picked it up and brought it back.
There was a constant, faint chewing sound coming from inside the wardrobe. I patted the wardrobe to try and quiet it down, and the wardrobe nodded in understanding and lowered its voice.
There are two hands knocking on the door, but those hands aren't mine. I can't open the door.
The potted plant in the room was startled by the knocking at the door and started crying, so it watered itself and then hid in the corner.
[Because no one answered the door, the hands left, but I know they'll come back tomorrow night.]
There are eyes outside the window, floating there in a group. I can hear them calling me to come out and play. But I can't go out, because it's a trap. It will be better during the day; they'll disappear then.
The clock I bought must have been lazy again. It used up five batteries in one night and didn't move a single second. I grabbed it and gave it a good beating, and finally it behaved. If the clock doesn't keep running, it won't get light.
Zhong ran the rest of the time quickly, and then it was dawn. The eyes outside the window disappeared, and I turned around, wanting to chat with the trash can, but the trash can ignored me.
It's raining outside, the rain is so loud, and I see the raindrops smiling at me from outside the window.
[The eyes reappeared, pressed against the glass window, staring intently at me. I played Go with them using a marker, and I lost. They cheated; their eyes were densely packed across the entire pane of glass.]
The hands are back again. They've been banging on the door, making a lot of noise. I peeked through the crack in the door, and saw that the hands had multiplied into many more; they were trying to break the door down. I couldn't fight them off.
Ignoring the lighter's pleas, I threw it towards the hand outside the door. The fire started, scalding my hand, and then the hand ran away.
Fire let out a satisfied burp and was quietly stuffed into the light bulb. Now I had a light bulb that could keep burning forever.
The light bulb wriggled, making a sound of dissatisfaction as if it couldn't fit, but I still forced it in.
It was very noisy outside, so I opened the window and smashed the light bulb out. The bright light chased away a large number of limbs outside, leaving only the bloodstains from the broken bulb. Then they came to play with me again.
Fire is important; without light, it's dangerous. Light is brightness, darkness is blackness. My shadow wandered aimlessly, eventually being swallowed by the floor.
I drew an outline on the ground with a marker to represent my shadow, and let it follow me. The outline nodded in agreement.
The rain stopped, but there were many puddles outside. A person stepped into a puddle, and the reflection in the water distorted his body, twisting and crushing his bones and internal organs. The puddle swallowed him.
The outside world is dangerous; staying in my own house is the safest option. But the house pushed me out, so I could only grab the potted plants that were also kicked out and walk out the door.
Fortunately, the rain has stopped and the sun is out. The sun is my companion, and it happily gave me a golden armor, which I put on.
Now, I must live.
————————————————————
The writing on the white paper was quite neat, but the content of it was so shocking that it sent a chill down one's spine.
"...What kind of absurd world is this?"
After reading the contents recorded on the white paper, Yukari Yakumo turned her head slightly pale and looked at the dark window. She had never paid much attention to it before, so she had never looked out the window carefully, but now she realized that what was clinging to the window were all countless eyes.
—These eyes were fixed on them without blinking.
"You call this kind of world absurd? You've never even seen what a truly absurd world looks like. You'd go insane within seconds of entering a world like that..."
Looking down at his shadow on the floor in the dim light above, Shi Bai realized that, just as recorded on the white paper, the shadows of Shi Bai and Yakumo Yukari had been swallowed up by the floor, which even let out a rather comfortable burp.
After thinking for a moment, Shi Bai gently kicked the floor. Countless tiny cracks spread outwards from his feet, and wisps of black shadow emerged from the cracks, quickly converging at their feet and reforming their shadows.
"Let's find the alarm clock first."
Shi Bai folded the white paper in his hand into four pieces and casually tossed it toward the trash can.
"This world is quite interesting; I'd like to explore it a bit more."
"This isn't interesting, this is clearly absurd!"
Watching the trash can at the kitchen door eagerly open its blood-red maw and swallow the white paper whole, and hearing the rather horrifying chewing sounds coming from inside the trash can, Yakumo Yukari's face turned even paler.
"Can we get out of this world soon? I don't want to stay in this world anymore."
"You can't accept this? Just think of these things as monsters, right? It should be that simple."
Pointing to the countless pairs of eyes clinging densely to the glass window, Shi Bai spoke with a serious expression.
"Look, everyone's been watching us. You're supposed to be a dignified sage among demons, how can you back down in front of a demon with so little power?"
"...Just because you're not afraid doesn't mean I'm not afraid. I'd rather fight someone far stronger than me than stay in this weird place any longer."
Clutching Shi Bai's clothes tightly with one hand, Yakumo Yukari's expression was quite unpleasant.
"Okay, okay, let's leave as soon as possible, alright?"
Reaching under his pillow, Shi Bai pulled out the alarm clock that he had hidden himself from, looking somewhat amused and exasperated.
"A dignified sage of demons would be afraid of something like this? This thing is much more attractive than those disgusting deformities made up of countless organs, and it's quite friendly too. Look, the bed is waving to us and giving us a warm welcome, and the other furniture is also celebrating enthusiastically... Look, the thing above our heads is dancing, don't you want to come and admire it?"
“…I want to kill everything in this house.”
Looking at the house that had suddenly become incredibly lively and the furniture that had gathered around her feet or in front of her, after a moment of silent silence, Yakumo Yukari, who was hiding behind Shi Bai, spoke softly.
In an instant, the light bulb overhead stopped dancing, the trash can obediently returned to its original position, the two shadows clapping enthusiastically at their feet stopped moving, and the bed became incredibly quiet.
However, outside the window, the number of shadows gathering there and peering into the room was increasing.
"Anyone who lives in a house like this for less than a day will go crazy. If there are any other living people in the world, they will all be crazy."
"No, I don't think the world is that simple."
Shrugging indifferently, Shi Bai was about to take out batteries to power the alarm clock when the hour and minute hands on the clock suddenly started running rapidly on their own.
In just a few seconds, the sky had brightened considerably. The eyes that had been gathered at the window seemed to be startled, swarming up like flies and then quickly disappearing from their sight.
"This guy is pretty sensible."
Somewhat surprised, Shi Bai glanced at the alarm clock in his hand that was obediently remaining still, then turned to look at Yakumo Yukari beside him.
"Have you ever thought that it's not just these pieces of furniture that have become sentient, but also the organs of people's bodies?"
"........."
As she imagined countless eyes, internal organs, tongues, and other organs gathered together like those eyes in her mind, Yakumo Yukari's face immediately turned extremely pale.
"Okay, let's go."
With a smile, Shi Bai casually stuffed the alarm clock into his pocket and walked towards the door first.

Startled awake from a nightmare, Lin Xiaoyu found her pillow soaked with cold sweat.
"Phew... thank goodness it was just a dream... is it because I've been thinking about it all day, so I'm dreaming about it at night?"
Feeling inexplicably relieved, Lin Xiaoyu turned her head, intending to get up and go to the bathroom. But as soon as she turned her head, she saw an evil, indescribable object squatting on the headboard of her bed, staring straight at her.
On what could be called a head, a single eye had sprung up; to be precise, this eye occupied ninety percent of what could be called a face. Compared to its large, eerie eye socket, its pupil appeared minuscule. The pupil's color was not the usual jet black or azure blue, but a cursed, malevolent white, resembling the pale belly of a fish or a long-soaked corpse—a pathetic color devoid of life. It exuded a putrid, sinister stench.
This hideous monster had a thin, long neck twisted into a contorted shape with both acute and obtuse angles by an indescribable, eerie force. Yet it felt no discomfort from this, coldly glaring at every creation in this wretched universe with the patience of a demon, leaving no doubt that the biological laws of this world were ineffective against it.
Lin Xiaoyu quickly put on her glasses and examined the object closely, only to discover that it was actually a desk lamp.
"Seriously, they've all gone mad from sleeping..."
Rubbing her eyes, Lin Xiaoyu muttered something under her breath.
