Almost without hesitation—
Sue raised her hand first, followed by Vervie, and Kosmo silently raised his arm; Gretchen stood on tiptoe and raised her small hand high, Sakura also slowly raised her hand, and Aponia also made a gesture of blessing.
Most surprisingly, Mebius also slowly raised his slender arm.
"It seems the outcome is quite obvious," Eden announced.
[Kevin's] gaze shifted from the crowd back to Kevin's face: "Then we will do everything in our power to teach you everything we have."
Kevin's lips curled into a genuine smile: "I couldn't be happier."
The two Kevins stared at each other from a distance of several meters.
Kevin saw a flicker of emotion in Kevin's eyes that he couldn't decipher—nostalgia? Regret? Or some kind of complex feeling of envy?
“Follow me,” [Kevin] said curtly, turning towards the database. “First, you need to understand the whole story.”
Alicia skipped along, shouting, "Wait for me! I want to come too!"
Sue and Eden exchanged a glance and slowly followed. The others dispersed in twos and threes, but everyone knew that this was just the beginning—the Land of the Dead was about to enter an extraordinary period.
-
"It still doesn't work." Looking at the failed experiment again, Otto gently tapped his arm with his finger.
"As expected, the authority of the Herrscher of the Void is still needed."
Perhaps he should try to reach out to those two people, one of whom is the World Serpent Lord—Kevin Kaslana, who possesses the Second Divine Key Beacon.
The other is someone willing to spread their wings and provide shelter for the Herrscher of the Void—Xiling.
He was confident he could make a deal with the Lord of the World Serpent, but... he chose someone else.
Otto turned on the communicator
“Amber arranged a flight for me to Sky City.”
"Yes."
After turning off the communicator, Otto turned his gaze to Durandal, who was walking in his direction.
"Your Excellency, is there anything I can help you with?" Durandal asked with a puzzled look after bowing.
"Please come with me."
"Yes."
Not long after, a plane began its journey to Sky City.

Chapter 134 Xiling and Otto
"Hey, is Ah Tui coming back to cook tonight?"
"roll!"
"Okay." Xiling hung up the phone and bowed slightly to Kiana.
"Looks like we'll have to figure out what to do for dinner tonight. How about we just order takeout?"
However, Kiana excitedly jumped up from the sofa, making an "X" shape with her hands. "No, let's go out to eat tonight! I found a restaurant that looked really good last time, let's go together! Wait for me, I'm going to change now!"
After leaving those words, Kiana ran straight back to her room to change her clothes.
Xiling rolled his eyes but didn't refuse. As long as the other person was happy, he didn't care.
Kiana opened her wardrobe in the room and looked at the clothes inside. Most of them were actually given to her by Remien. She never thought about buying clothes back then.
"This one looks nice."
"This one is alright too."
Kiana glanced at the time and realized she couldn't let things continue like this.
"That's it."
A few minutes later, the door opened, and Kiana, wearing denim shorts and a white shirt, came out. She looked at Xiling, who was still sitting on the sofa playing on her phone, and smiled as she walked over and took one of Xiling's hands in each.
"Let's go, I'm starving."
"Can't you just let me finish this game?" Xiling said irritably.
"Let's go, let's go, we have plenty of time to play tonight."
-
"Is this the place you're talking about?" Xiling looked at the shop in front of her, which had a simple yet cozy decor.
"Yes, this is it!" Kiana responded to Xiling and then waved to a staff member.
"Please take our order here."
Soon, a waiter came to Xiling's table with a menu.
Kiana took the menu from the waiter and quickly selected her destination. However, when she turned to a certain page, she saw a couple's set meal on the menu. Staring at this set meal, Kiana glanced at Xiling, who was playing on her phone.
"...Let's forget about it."
After ordering her own food, Kiana handed the menu to Xiling.
"I've made my choice, it's your turn."
"Okay, let me see." Xiling took the menu, glanced at it casually, and soon, as if he had seen something, his pupils widened in shock. He immediately looked at the waiter with a serious expression.
"Please give me a couple's set meal."
"Huh?" Kiana looked at Xiling with a blank expression.
"Ok."
While Kiana was still in a daze, the waiter had already taken the menu with a smile.
Seeing Kiana's bewildered expression, Xiling gave her a thumbs up.
"I've never had a couple's set meal in my life. If I see this today and don't try it, how can I not do it for myself!"
Kiana smiled with relief as she looked at the guy giving her a thumbs-up.
"Then I want to eat some too."
"You've already ordered enough. Finish your own first," Xiling said irritably.
"I don't care! I don't care, I don't care, I just want to eat!" Kiana immediately started to whine.
All eyes began to turn to Xiling's table. Noticing the stares, Xiling rolled her eyes at Kiana.
"Eat, eat, eat, I've given you all the food, how old are you? You're acting like a little kid."
Upon hearing Xiling's agreement, Kiana smiled again and gave Xiling a peace sign.
"It's all because you always treat me like a child, I just went along with you."
"You're blaming me now."
"Hmph~" Kiana ignored Xiling and hummed softly, swaying her body gently.
Seeing Kiana's happy face, Xiling snorted and turned to look out the window, where she saw an unexpected figure. The other person noticed Xiling, looked at her, and waved to her with a smile. Beside the other person, the blonde knight princess stared seriously at Xiling.
"An unexpected guest," Xiling thought to herself, then smiled at Kiana.
"Something came up, I have to go out for a bit."
Kiana snapped out of her cheerful humming and looked at Xiling with a puzzled expression. "What happened?"
“Someone came all this way to see me, so I definitely have to help him up.” Xiling stood up from her chair.
"You can eat here slowly, I'll be back in a bit."
"I'll go with you!" Kiana was about to stand up when she saw Xiling make an X with her hands.
"No need, I can go by myself. Just stay here."
After leaving those words, Xiling didn't linger any longer. She went to the cashier, paid, and left.
Kiana watched Xiling's departing figure, from inside the store to outside, until Xiling came to the side of a blond man. Kiana's pupils suddenly dilated.
"O... Otto!"
Almost the instant she saw Otto, Kiana's emotions changed drastically, and her actions clearly drew the attention of the three people outside the store.
Watching the figure whose aura began to change with his emotions, Durandal slowly began to exert her strength. If anything happened to him, she would subdue him immediately.
But soon her body relaxed, because after taking a few deep breaths, the figure's emotions actually stabilized.
"Calm down, calm down, you need to calm down. Xiling is here, everything will be alright." Kiana suppressed her anger, but her gaze never left the outside world.
"It seems she can control her emotions well now, and I'm happy for her." Otto's lips curled up slightly, as if he were genuinely happy for Kiana.
"Do whatever makes you happy. Did you come here to see me?" Xiling looked at Otto with a very indifferent gaze, and even her tone was the same.
“Of course, my friend. I came here specifically for you. Would it be convenient for us to find a place to sit down and have a good chat?” Otto’s manner and speech were very elegant, making it difficult for strangers to feel any ill will towards him.
Of course, those who know the other person will indeed feel that the other person is being pretentious.
But this didn't matter to Xiling.
"Then follow me." Xiling led the way and headed towards a certain place.
Otto smiled and followed Xiling without saying anything. Meanwhile, Kiana kept her eyes fixed on the outside, and Durandal's gaze never left Kiana.
Suddenly Xiling stopped and turned to look at Durandal. "Could you do me a favor?"
Durandal withdrew her gaze from Kiana and looked at Xiling with a puzzled expression.
"Have you eaten?" Xiling asked.
Durandal didn't know why the other person would ask such a question, but she shook her head very honestly.
"We haven't eaten yet."
Just then, Otto spoke up with a smile. "Let's go eat first, Durandal."
Yulandel was somewhat confused as to why his own bishop was saying the same thing.
Just then, Xiling pointed in a direction, and there was Kiana staring at her intently.
"I'll trouble you to have dinner with that guy."
Durandal wanted to refuse; how could she allow the bishop to act alone with this extremely dangerous fellow in front of her?
But then Otto smiled and said, "We have already disturbed their meal by not informing them of our arrival in advance. It would be very inappropriate to leave a young girl to eat alone in a restaurant."
"So Durandal, go, go and keep her company."
“…Yes, sir.”
Seeing the other person's furrowed brows and expression of both confusion and obedience, Xiling spoke up. "Don't worry, I won't lay a hand on your bishop yet."
Otto laughed. "Thank you for your leniency."
The two walked off in one direction, leaving Durandal standing there and Kiana watching everything from inside the restaurant.
-
"Why did you suddenly think of coming to find me?" Xiling asked curiously as she walked down the street.
Hearing Xiling's question, Otto smiled and said, "If you ask why, it's probably because of my intuition. My intuition is always very accurate."
"You actually believe this? Shouldn't the answer be determined by evaluation and calculation?"
Otto shook his head slightly, as if he had heard an interesting argument. "It seems you do have some... interesting misunderstandings about me."
He spoke casually, as if he were conducting an academic discussion: "A plan is not a precise experiment in a laboratory. Research requires absolute, cold data, and rigorous logical deduction to point to a single answer."
He paused, his gaze fixed on something in the distance, as if staring at something unseen. "But the plan... is constantly being disturbed by a variable called ''. Humans are such wondrous and complex creatures. A heinous butcher might be awakened by conscience in a moment and suddenly realize his mistakes. And a virtuous person who has done good deeds all their life might, under the cruel tricks of fate, have their hands stained with indelible blood... The possibilities and leaps brought about by these variables are something you simply cannot predict or calculate with formulas."
In the end, his tone carried a hint of indescribable emotion, as if recalling countless fragments of the past, which ultimately culminated in a vague, gentle head-shaking gesture.
"Sounds like... you're quite experienced." Xiling's tone remained calm. "You must have experienced plenty of these unexpected script derailments, right?"
