After the tram passed several stops, Alex got off and looked around. This was still in the downtown area, and it was dinner time, which was also the peak time for people.

Walking into an alley, she took out a wooden board, stuck it against the wall, and used it to build up to the roof. Alex drew her sword, performed a wall jump followed by a Shunpo, and leaped to the roof of the building next door.

She checked the mini-map, confirmed the direction, and ran towards the coordinates where the witch had escaped with the witch's barrier the night before, right on the rooftop.

She avoided all places where ordinary people might appear along the way, and tried to go into alleys. She would often encounter small mice that happened to dart across the ground. At these times, she could use the bodies of these small animals to shorten her journey with her Phantom Sword.

Soon, Alex arrived at the familiar street. There were far fewer people around, and it was getting closer to a residential area. Looking up, she could see a tunnel under maintenance not far away.

This is where she and Xiangzi met the witch last night.

As soon as Alex stepped into the construction site, she felt as if she had entered another world, and then her eyes lit up.
