This is my second book on the shelf and the first book to come to this site.

A few months ago, I was still on a small website, finishing my own flop novel.

I didn't expect that in the blink of an eye I would get the first place in the same period and be recommended by Sanjiang. This rapid rise really makes people feel unreal.

I know I haven't been writing novels for a long time and have very little experience. Writing long novels is a real test of my writing skills and plot control. Every time I try to perfect the outline, I get completely lost. Not to mention creating deep characters, I always feel like I'm completely outshined by the great writers.

But my mentality is fine. I won't lose my mind or get overly stressed because of my grades. I will follow the steps and calm down to finish writing this book.

I'd also like to thank my editor, Sister Zhe Yu, for her valuable suggestions while I was writing this book! I pledge allegiance to Sister Zhe Yu (break my crutches!)

I hope to make some progress this time and work hard to improve my level!

Then let’s talk about what everyone asked:

1. Does the writing style look familiar?

Things like writing style can be changed. Before writing this book, I read all of Dragon Clan 1-5, Dragon King 1, and Dragon Clan Stranger.

(The Zhou family, Westminster Abbey, and the Order of Solomon's Temple are not original. Their settings are all from "Dragon Tribe Strange Stories". The story of the Dragon Tribe focuses on the perspective of the secret party, and the Strange Stories is a side story, mainly about the stories of the mixed-bloods outside the secret party)

It took me more than a month to research the setting and timeline, and some of the writing styles have become a bit like the original. (It makes me feel numb after reading it XD)

Earlier chapters of this book have some narration-style dialogue and a lot of text without paragraphs, which is caused by watching too much Dragon Clan. These problems will be gradually corrected.

2. When did the Holy Grail War come?

There will definitely be a Holy Grail War, but it just needs some events to pave the way. After all, this is still a world of dragons, and the Holy Grail system and the Throne of Heroes cannot appear out of thin air.

But I'm ready!

In addition to the existing Atlas Court, we try to create the Clock Tower, the Holy Church, and the Wandering Sea. Except for the outrageous aliens unique to Type-Moon, other local things are modified as much as possible!

3. We need more female protagonists!

This is my first time using the character adding function on Qidian, and to be honest, I feel a little conflicted.

Because the characters appear gradually according to the development of the story, I added the heroine character according to the current story.

If I add it in advance, it will feel a bit strange if I don’t write about her appearance for a while, but if I don’t add it, it will be easy to misunderstand that there is no such heroine (?)

According to the outline, in addition to the heroines who appear, Xia Mi and Eri are also heroines who occupy important roles (after thinking about it, I decided to add them in, and appear sooner or later to avoid misunderstandings)

Other characters will be added as the story progresses (I try not to write a vase-type heroine)

Chapter 72 Secret Party: Then I leave?

Ange felt that the Queen Wa was showing a big attitude.

Directly refuting the actions of the secret party from a historical perspective is the most obvious way to establish authority.

He really couldn't refute it.

The secret party has an ancient heritage. It took so many years of accumulation to expand to the point of being the "world's number one mixed-race force."

This expansion process was certainly not a peaceful and tranquil one, but rather one filled with blood and gore. The ultimate outcome was the victory of the Secret Party, which meant the defeat of the other half-blood forces.

But Ange couldn't refute like this. He came here to negotiate, not to further intensify the conflict with these families. So in the first game, Ange chose to suffer in silence, and Wazhu took the lead.

Next, Lord Wa did not let the clean and bright table sit idle, but ordered people to put on it the "evidence" that had made the secret party extremely nervous recently.

"First, the 'testimony' of Fujiwara Nobunosuke, a member of your secret party, the Gattuso family. His accusations are simple and clear..."

"Sorry, regarding this matter, Mr. Frost, the acting head of the Gattuso family, also has evidence to present. It includes records of missions he assigned for family purposes, relevant communication records, and records of Gattuso family marriage negotiations..."

Ange raised his hand to signal, and asked Cheng Shuangfan to get the equipment in time and retrieve the evidence sent by Frost.

The Wa Lord simply glanced up, seemingly thinking these counterattacks were insignificant. She then continued to order people to present a mountain of evidence:

"Don't worry, we still have it here. This is the analysis report of the monster corpse we found at the scene and the traces of the alchemy array left in the park."

"This corpse resembles Deadpool, but it has undergone further alchemical processing, similar to the alchemical array within the park. After repeated comparisons and research by our family, we have determined that it is a product of your Western alchemy and does not conform to our Divine Artifacts."

Combined with the "historical criticism" not long ago, Wazhu pointed suspicion to the secret party in almost every word and sentence.

"That's reasonable," Anger nodded. "But it must be pointed out that the cutting-edge field of alchemy in this world is not controlled by the secret party, but exists among the pure-blooded dragons. So, what you provided..."

"Oh?"

Wazhu sarcastically said, "The Deadpool experiment records dug out from the Chen family also match the technology in the aforementioned evidence. Could it be that the True Dragon would also cooperate with such petty thieves as the Chen family?"

"The connection between the Chen family and Gattuso goes far beyond this so-called 'marriage'? Do you really think we can't uncover... the Chen family's secret connections with your secret party over the years?"

Seeing that Lord Wa was about to bring up old grudges, Angé looked around at the other heads of the noble families who had remained silent.

Some people looked arrogant, some raised their eyebrows as if they were watching a show with great interest, some had stern faces and narrowed their eyes slightly, with a hint of coldness... Most of them did not look in a good mood.

"I'm afraid this time, the battle will not go well."

Ange recalled Frost's tired voice. It seemed that there was really something hidden between their two families, and it was the kind of secret that could not be revealed even if he died.

Gattuso... the Chen family... an invisible black hand seemed to stretch out from the top of the secret party, controlling huge resources and manpower, continuing to parasitize on the secret party with strong foundation, and quietly growing and developing.

It's only been two or three years since the Greenland Sea incident, but the tragedy is still fresh in our memory.

At that time, the "Prince" of Hunter Network announced the fragments of the copper pillar salvaged from the Greenland Sea. The copper pillar is the carrier of the dragon clan's historical records and can be said to be a ready-made precious historical material of the dragon clan. This attracted the attention of the secret party.

Then the "Crown Prince" sent the coordinates of the "Ancient Dragon Embryo" located in the Greenland Sea.

The secret party was skeptical about this.

Could the intelligence the "Crown Prince" kindly provided be bait? Is it really necessary to send the Executive Division to the Greenland Sea to contact some ancient dragon embryo?

The top secret party members argued fiercely about this, but the school board at that time finally approved the Greenland Sea operation proposal. As a result, almost all the personnel in the operation were wiped out, and only one student survived. Schneider was attacked and injured during the rescue, and half of his face was completely shriveled.

If you think about it carefully, although the ancient dragon embryo is tempting, it is not advisable to take action before the situation is clear.

There must be someone hiding in the dark pushing this matter forward. The secret party is not only watched by external enemies, but also has treacherous elements within.

Ange raised his head and sighed silently. Finally, he said to the Lord of Wa, "There is no possibility that the Secret Party will cooperate with dragons. This is the iron rule that the Secret Party has adhered to for thousands of years, and it is also the inner conviction of countless dragon slayers."

In other situations, this would sound like an oath, but in a negotiation, it is more easily understood as an excuse or prevarication, so Wazhu reacted indifferently and waited to see what Ange would do next.

"However, the secret party has grown to such a large scale that it is inevitable that there will be people who betray their ideals and compatriots and cross the line for the sake of profit."

Ange's next sentence surprised Lord Wa a little, and he actually opened his mouth and chose to give in.

"It's a pity that after all these years, I still didn't realize they were hiding so deeply. This is my personal oversight."

Cheng Shuangfan was also shocked. It was only the second round of confrontation, and Principal Angers, who came on behalf of the secret party, chose to admit defeat so quickly?

"Don't look at me in surprise," Ange admitted the problem lightly, but the light in his eyes was like that of a still young lion.

"I'm a moderate within the Secret Party, definitely not an old stubborn person willing to talk after a fight. But my stance is also very clear. The Secret Party's dragon-slaying mission will never waver. I still believe that the young people of the Shenzhou branch are full of passion and have a passionate heart to slay dragons..."

"However, those with ulterior motives have squandered the youth's heroic spirit and attempted to prevent our secret party from establishing a long-lasting and solid relationship of peace and friendship with the aristocratic families."

Lord Wa nodded. This old man was not just a leader of the secret party in vain. He had no intention of taking the blame from the beginning. Instead, he chose to retreat in order to advance, and transformed the enemy pointed at by the Shenzhou family from the secret party as a whole to "individuals".

In fact, she also prepared a considerable amount of negative information about the Chen family, such as the gangster transaction records between the Chen family and the "secret party scum" boar Neo, and the secret party's Japanese branch.

But now Angers has labeled them as "individuals" with one stick.

It doesn’t matter, she also has a set of corresponding boxing techniques.

"This should have been your secret party's internal affairs, but the incident occurred on Shenzhou territory. I imagine that for a long time, the price these people paid for their mischief has been paid by Shenzhou. As the saying goes, every wrong has its perpetrator, every debt has its creditor..."

"But now Mr. Ange refers to them as individuals, and doesn't seem to specify the person behind the scenes. So, if we don't point to the secret party, who should we ask for this price?"

"Or does Mr. Ange intend to ask us to wait until eternity, for you to uncover the truth behind this?"

cost?

Faced with the questioning, Angé felt a little relieved. He thought that the highlight was coming, and the Shenzhou family agreed to the negotiations for their own interests.

As long as the accusations made by Shenzhou can be withdrawn and the secret party can be freed from "stigmatization", all of these demands can be negotiated.

The beauty of negotiation lies in satisfying each party's core demands and striving for marginal benefits while making compromises.

"Regarding the secret party's self-examination, it won't happen overnight," Ange said, making a gesture of embarrassment. "But I can assure the heads of the families present here that the secret party will only swing its sword against dragons, and never point it at our own people."

"Wow, you secret party members, you guys are shouting slogans about slaying dragons, but you don't have many achievements to show for it."

Wa replied with a sarcastic remark.

The last time the secret party openly fought the Dragon King was during the "Summer Mourning" incident a hundred years ago. The secret party is too embarrassed to brag about this record that came at the cost of the annihilation of its top leaders.

In comparison, the casualties in the dragon incident handled by the Shenzhou family this time were much smaller. Emiya and the Zhou family's Dragon-Severing Platform even defeated Odin, who was suspected to be the Dragon King, head-on.

Ange was speechless for a moment. He truly felt the embarrassing situation of the secret party in this incident: it was the first time in history that they did not participate in the entire process, but were instead thrown dirty water on.

People have good reasons to doubt the "uncleanliness" of the secret party, so much so that they are now even questioning the professional ability of the dragon slayer.

But the incident was over, and Ange couldn't possibly ask for another chance to "prove his ability"...

Angers appeared calm on the surface and praised the handling of the incident at the right time:

"The Zhou family's Dragon-Severing Platform truly lives up to its reputation. When it's still, nothing happens; when it's in motion, it makes a stunning debut. I heard that 'God Slayer' Emiya was also a young talent discovered by the Zhou family?"

"...At such a young age, he's truly remarkable. This reminds me of my close friend, Meinecke Cassel. Back then, I was still unknown, but he had already shown his talent and became a leader of the Lionheart Society. If he hadn't perished together with the Dragon King, the secret party's dragon-slaying mission would have flourished."

Ange's expression was timely, his demeanor finally like a centenarian recalling the glorious past, lamenting the fleeting nature of time. "If only this Emiya had been discovered by our secret party in his early years..."

Wazhu interrupted, "So, you want to win him over in front of me?"

Her face darkened and her tone became gloomy.

Ange didn't look embarrassed at all. In fact, his character also includes that of an educator. It was extremely natural for him to look at Emiya and say such words.

"It's true that 'good food is never too late, good talent is never too late.' Even though the Secret Party has its shortcomings, it also has a cutting-edge educational environment and resource advantages. We will absolutely not hesitate to devote resources to every talented person."

"For a talent as capable as Emiya, our secret party will certainly provide him with the best treatment and resources..."

Although Ange seldom takes charge of matters such as the admissions office, such promises keep popping out of his mouth like strings of pearls... In short, the secret party has a strong foundation and resources, and is definitely not a gathering place for incompetent and mediocre people as Lord Wa said.

Besides, what if there really is a chance to get treasure?

If he could get Emiya to join the secret party, Ange would accept it even if he had to suffer heavy losses in this negotiation, and would even give up the position of leader. He would wake up laughing in his dreams.

Because Emiya joining the secret party will only boost the latter's prestige - although with the help of the Dragon-Severing Platform, it is also a direct kill of the Dragon King, which is equivalent to a living Menech. Who dares to object?

"Wait a minute, this has gotten off topic," Wazhu ordered someone to come forward and serve the tea. Angé's tactics of attack and defense were wearing thin on her patience; she wasn't one to be easily led astray. "Let's get back to the point and discuss compensation."

"We can promise not to pursue the incident caused by the secret party behind the incident any further."

"Oh?" Ange chatted with her about this and that, actually he also wanted to avoid the negotiation disadvantage. The performance of the secret party in this incident was not remarkable, and there were not many areas where they were strong.

However, the first thing Wa said was "I won't pursue it." This was something Ange hadn't expected. Did she also want to "retreat in order to advance"? What did she want?

Angé took a sip of tea and exclaimed that the aroma of Wuyi Dahongpao was truly unique. At the same time, he silently said "but" to Lord Wa in his heart.

"However," Wazhu indeed made a turn, "given the abominable and serious nature of this incident, including the disappointing performance of the secret party, we request..."

"Your branch is disbanded and withdraws from Shenzhou. From now on, you are not allowed to set foot on Shenzhou soil."

Ange's hand, holding the teacup, nearly trembled. His expression grew serious. "I can't agree to this kind of thing on my own. This involves personnel changes for the entire branch, and a meeting of all the board members is required to make a decision."

"Then instead of disbanding, you're forbidden from interfering in the internal affairs of the dragons in Shenzhou."

“…”No, what’s the difference between this and disbanding?

"In addition, we also demand the cancellation of the preparatory classes and admissions offices run by the Secret Party in the Shenzhou region. Your recruitment of talent will cease from today."

boom.

Lord Wa put down the teacup with a slight sound. At the same time, the heads of other families, who had originally kept their eyes downcast, also turned their attention to her.

That powerful gaze...as if it wanted to kill Ange with just the look.

So, this is the real reason why the Shenzhou families are causing trouble?

Ange felt vaguely that he had grasped the truth, but...

"No, that's impossible. This isn't just a matter for the secret party. There are a huge number of wild hybrids in the Divine Land. If we don't recruit and educate them, once a hybrid is misguided and awakened, it is very likely to cause chaos!"

"Then there's no need to bother the secret party with worrying about it. It's just about recruiting talents and nurturing them. This is something you secret party can do, but we can't."

This is the final step to reveal the true purpose.

It was like a wake-up call, and Ange suddenly woke up. Forcing the Secret Party to clear its name was just a pretext; the real purpose was to eradicate the Secret Party's influence in China!

Now that Angers has admitted that the secret party itself has problems, he has to either take the blame and face relentless stigmatization, or withdraw from China. What's the choice?

Emiya quietly closed the door, turned around, and saw Nono's peaceful sick face.
