The priests in the audience were in an uproar, and Lifar, who had just discovered he was under attack, was also startled. More bullets rained down on him, but they were all blocked by the energy shield.

Lifar, so frightened that his legs went limp, couldn't help but feel fortunate that the portable shield Leon gave him was indeed as reliable as Leon said. Then he tremblingly retrieved the words Leon had said to him when he was attacked, which were recorded in the database.

"They were furious! Those elders from the Foundry Council, because I exposed the truth, they mercilessly extended their butcher knives to me!"

He turned up the brightness of his energy shield so that everyone could see that he had survived the attack of the Skitarii unscathed. "But Om Messiah protected me! He rewards me, a devout believer who dares to defend the property of Om Messiah!"

"My companions, there is no need to be lost! Take action to protect our assets and the sacred production line! The light of Om Messiah will shine upon each and every one of us!"

As soon as he finished speaking, the vanguard soldiers of the Crusader Army carrying radium carbines also arrived at the scene.

They launched an attack on Lifar using weapons equipped with high-energy lasers. The laser beams, filled with the aura of death, fell on the energy shield, and the powerful radiation energy caused the energy shield to flicker.

Lifar was startled. He had no intention of staying here and quickly jumped off the Titan's arms.

The vanguard soldiers who had lost their target began to disperse the priests gathered under the Titan, but the priests who had been encouraged by Lifar's words were not afraid at all. They took out their weapons and started to fight back.

Although the priests' counterattacks were not very systematic, their various weapons still overwhelmed the Crusaders. However, as more Crusaders arrived at the scene, the priests, who were outnumbered, began to feel a little overwhelmed.

Suppressed by the Crusaders, they gradually retreated.

But the explosive bombs whizzing from behind them tore the advancing vanguard of the Crusader Army into pieces, and in an instant, the spirits of all the mechanical priests were lifted.

"Don't be afraid of the powerful! Defending the glory of Om Messiah is defending our own wealth!"

Leon held aloft the Solar Battle Axe. Behind him stood Astartes warriors wielding various Monster Hunter "specialties," including greatswords, shield axes, and Silver Rathalos Bolters. "Astartes also support our just cause! Forward, priests! Expel the Forge Council who have betrayed the glory of Om Messiah. Leave no one behind!"

As the most critical new force, Li Ang led the team into the battlefield!

Despite being the Sage of Huangquan No. 8, no one cared about his identity in the chaotic battlefield. Given that he was a Sage and the most powerful person on the field, Maxim's mechanical priests spontaneously gathered around him.

They advanced in a group and quickly suppressed the Crusaders in the area.

Although the Crusaders were still sending more troops, the priests guarding the key passes would no longer be overwhelmed by simple numerical superiority.

In addition, with Astarte killing the commander of the Crusaders, the Crusaders were in chaos and could not overwhelm these priests with their numerical advantage for a while.

Chaos spread across the Forge World as the exchange of fire began.

Realizing that the Crusaders alone were no longer able to defeat the wave of rebellion, the Deputy Foundry Supervisor personally took over command of the Crusaders.

He tried to attack the best breakthrough points according to his logical analysis, but Kurland was obviously more experienced than him. The small number of Imperial Fists warriors had already ambushed these best "breakthrough points".

When the Skitarii commandos attempted to break through these so-called best passes, the sudden burst of bolter fire combined with explosive barrels dropped from buildings wiped out the Skitarii vanguard.

The Deputy Forge Master quickly located the Imperial Fists from the direction of their fire. However, the Imperial Fists, having completed their interception, had already retreated. As more and more priests and their servitors joined this "righteous cause," the front lines no longer required Astartes to maintain them.

These civil engineering experts began to build layers of defense behind the front line.

Just as Leon was building a defense line on the street with his professional counterpart, the Imperial Fists, an unfamiliar communication request came into Leon's brain.

He answered the call and found the face of the deputy foundry supervisor appeared in his mind. Although that face had long been heavily mechanized, Leon could still see a strange anger in it.

"Sage Leon of Huangquan No. 8, were you the one who instigated Sage Lifar to start this riot on Maxim?"

The Deputy Foundry Supervisor's distorted face almost filled the entire screen. "I will catch you, torture your logic center with waste code, destroy all your prosthetics with galvanic electricity, and then use the clause in the Foundry Act that incites the internal affairs of other forging planets as a complaint to hand you over to Mars for trial!"

"Incitement? Riot?"

Li Ang laughed.

"Do not."

He denied the casting director and then responded bluntly:

“This is a war!”

Chapter 64: Rust Seeker.

The deputy foundry supervisor was silent for a moment. Leon could feel that he was trembling. It seemed that his intelligence core had never calculated that Leon would make such a declaration.

"War? You think this is war?"

The deputy supervisor finally responded coldly: "Then I will give you the response you want! I will tear off your head and crush your mind in battle. I promise Om Messiah that even if you are from Huangquan No. 8, the probability of me completing it is 100%!"

"When my Skitarii bring you to me, don't regret it, because you started this war yourself!"

After saying this, he hung up. But the deputy foundry supervisor was far less calm and assertive than he had been during the call. As soon as the call was disconnected, he angrily overturned the table.

"These lunatics and beasts from Huangquan No. 8!"

He had already given Leon a way out; if it had simply been incitement, there might have been room for negotiation. But the other party had actually taken the initiative to escalate the situation to war, a war of gears under the witness of the Om Messiah!

Burning rage surged in the chest of the Deputy Foundry Supervisor. It was the first time he had felt such a vivid emotion since the installation of the emotion suppressor.

His rising anger made him want to tear the other person into pieces immediately, but his logical center forced him to calm down and think about a few issues.

The purpose of war is to gain benefits. So what is the other side's goal in launching a war? What benefits do they need?

They only numbered a hundred or so Astartes. Even if they incited some of the Mechanicus they were about to abandon, their numbers were definitely not enough to sustain a war against the Forge World. Where did their confidence come from?

The unknown is always the biggest enemy of logic. Too many blanks have caused an intractable deadlock in the deputy foundry supervisor's thinking.

The logic of the Yellow Springs Sage No. 8 across from him was a chaotic mess of unpredictable thoughts. This feeling of mental stagnation made the Deputy Foundry Supervisor very uncomfortable.

He waved his hands in frustration, and the forger, realizing something was amiss, stopped his sarcasm. He simply asked, "Do you need me to detonate the production line?"

"Need not."

The Deputy Foundry Supervisor tried to reason with himself: "This rebellion hasn't spread to the entire Foundry World yet. Detonating the production line now will only escalate the situation."

He fixed his gaze on the stationary Warlord-class Titan. "Can we get in touch with Captain Christina? The Titan hasn't been repaired yet?"

"After the riot started, we lost contact with Titan and the priest who was checking on Titan."

The Arch-Sage of the Forge explained, "The infantry guards of the Titan Order are protecting the Titan from anyone approaching. However, they will not take any further action until they receive orders from Christina."

"There won't be any further action. They won't realize it's too late until that bug from Huangquan No. 8 leads the Imperial Fists to defend the front and then invade the Titan's cockpit!"

The Vice-Overseer of the Forge cursed the Titan Order mercilessly, but his rebuke would not change the situation. With the help of the Imperial Fists, the Mechanical Priests had built a simple but solid defense line, their fierce firepower overwhelming the Rangers and Vanguards.

Some Astartes wearing power armor even approached the Crusaders under the cover of firepower. The galvanic guns that detonated electromagnetic force and the laser guns that dominated by radiation could hardly cause fatal damage to the Astartes wearing ceramic steel power armor.

The Astartes led by Kurland also took advantage of this to break into the ranks of the Crusader Army. They raised their chainsaw swords and started a ruthless slaughter.

The calculated probability told the Deputy Foundry Supervisor that in this battle with only the Rangers, Vanguards and the inactive Titan Guards, the probability of the Astartes led by Leon consolidating their front and invading the Titans was over 90%.

Titan is the token of allegiance that Mars specifically requested, and is the absolute weak point of the Deputy Foundry Supervisor.

Although he didn't know what Leon wanted to obtain in this forging world, the deputy forging supervisor could almost confirm that it was this group of people who paralyzed Titan.

He knew without any calculations that those Titans were the key link in Leon's plan!

Realizing that the Titan Guards were unreliable, the Deputy Foundry Supervisor had no choice but to raise the stakes himself. He gritted his teeth and decided to pull out his best weapon.

"Move the transport ship carrying the Skitarii into low Earth orbit!"

He sent a message to the Mechanicus transport fleet in orbit preparing for the evacuation: "Drop the Rustseeker Squadron!"

Rustseekers are the close-quarters combatants of the Skitarii. Highly mechanized, they charge into enemy lines at astonishing speed, then decimate their targets with furious speed and force using melee weapons. Their twin sonic blades embody the Mechanicum's unwavering application of the laws of physics.

When this sonic short blade is turned on, it will emit a series of sound waves generated by ultra-high frequency vibrations. Although it is not as powerful as a power weapon, its lethality is even greater than that of a power weapon.

Its primary method of damage is to emit a large number of sound waves of varying frequencies upon contact and impact. The reflected sound waves then detect the object's molecular vibration frequency, causing the blade to resonate at the same frequency and emit resonant waves. The target's molecular structure resonates, causing it to instantly disintegrate at the molecular level.

This principle means that the Rust Seekers' first attack is often easily blocked, and just when the opponent thinks it will be an easy battle, the sonic blade that has detected the frequency of the object's molecular vibration will cut the opponent in two with the second blow with thunderous force.

The only regret is that Maxim does not have a production line for sonic blades. This squadron of Rust Seekers is the hard-earned capital accumulated by the deputy foundry supervisor over many years.

Looking at the drop pod carrying the Rustseekers airdropped from orbit, the Deputy Foundry Supervisor felt a pang of pain. But seeing the Astartes slaughtering the Hunters with chainsaw swords in hand, the Deputy Foundry Supervisor felt that the investment was worth it.

He was certain that the Rustseekers would defeat this group of Astartes. As long as the defensive line built by the Astartes fell, they would repair the Titan as quickly as possible and obtain the letter of allegiance that would allow him to be accepted by Mars!

The airborne capsule fell to the ground like a meteor, and the loud noise of the crash echoed in the streets where Leon and his team were defending. In the dust raised by the shock wave, Leon keenly noticed the figures that were looming in the dust.

Iron-gray limbs made almost entirely of metal, pale blue blades, and unique ball-shaped joints...

Li Ang's pupils shrank: "Rust Seeker?"

Chapter 65: The Power of the Hunter.

Li Ang was no stranger to Rust Seekers. In fact, his unit, Huangquan No. 8, was particularly fond of these biochemically modified soldiers who could operate in stealth.

He was just a little surprised that a small forging world like Maxim could have a special unit like the Rustseeker.

The military forces of the Adeptus Mechanicus are usually composed of three parts: the Om Messianic Guard, the Skitarii, and the Titan Adeptus.

The nature of the Royal Guards is similar to that of religious crusaders. They are religious armies that believe in the Om Messiah and are assembled by the local Forge World using its own influence. Some knight families that are affiliated with the Forge World are among them.

The Titan Order is a transcendent force that controls the divine machinery. Starting from the Predator-class Titan, a Titan Order may be able to influence the direction of the entire war on a minor battlefield.

The Crusaders are the standing armed forces of the Forge World, composed of semi-mechanized transformed soldiers.

Unlike smaller Forge Worlds that lacked the Praetorian Guard and Titan Orders, every Forge World had a Skitarii. However, even within the same Skitarii structure, there were distinctions between high and low ranks.

The Rustseekers, who belong to the Sikarian system of the Skitarii, can well reflect the difference between ordinary Skitarii and special Skitarii.

Unlike the semi-mechanized Rangers or Vanguards, the Rustseekers, whose transformations left them with little more than a brain, were essentially the equivalent of the now-banned Mechanicus Cybernetic Corps. While they still belonged to the Skitarii's battle formations, their unique characteristics earned them the name Sikarian.

The Skitarii of the Sikarian Combat Series were all fanatical warriors transformed to the point of being reduced to a single head. Now, wielding their sonic blades, they were ready to demonstrate the might they had earned through their devotion to the Om Messiah!

"Kurland, retreat!"

Li Ang warned sharply: "Don't let them touch you! Even if you do, don't use the same part of your body to withstand their second blow!"

Even the Imperial Fists did not know much about these rarely seen vanguards of the Mechanicum. They thought they were just ordinary reinforcements like the Hunters, but Kurland led his team forward, striving to suppress the enemy before they even stepped onto the battlefield.

But those iron-gray figures in the smoke had already left the drop pods. Clad in the red of the Mechanicum, they transformed into crimson ghosts amidst the smoke. The abundant power provided by the microreactors on their backs and the inhuman agility afforded by their spherical joints allowed them to close in on the Imperial Fists warriors in the blink of an eye!

Kurland had already discovered something was wrong after being reminded by Leon, and he was even more surprised that the other party was showing a speed that was faster than Astarte.

"Form a line!"

Kurland used his bolter to push back the approaching Rustseekers: "Alternately cover the retreat!"

The Imperial Fists quickly gathered, but the Rustseekers' agility allowed them to capture a lone Imperial Fists warrior. The sonic blades struck the Imperial Fists' breastplate, forcing the warrior to hold his chainsword across his chest to block the blow.

The chainsaw sword easily blocked the first slash. Seeing that the attack was unsuccessful, the rust remover who launched the attack withdrew and handed the attack over to another rust remover.

Seeing a new opponent, the Imperial Fists warrior tried to repeat his old trick, but he never expected his chainsword to break with the blow. The sonic blade pierced through the breastplate and sank into the warrior's chest!

The Red Ghost drew his sword, drawing a streak of crimson blood from Astarte's chest. Seeing his few remaining brothers fall, Kurland's eyes glared:

"What's going on! Isn't it okay to just not withstand the second attack?"

"They have a data link that transmits data to each other. If a part of the body is stabbed, all of them can get the analyzed information. This way, no matter who launches the next attack on the same part, it will be penetrating."

Leon immediately discerned the truth. He realized that this team of Rust Removers was no match for the current Imperial Fists. "Retreat, Kurland. I'll take over the situation here."

The Elu cats nearby pounced fiercely, carrying a stretcher and holding up their psychic shields, they braved the hail of bullets and reached the fallen Imperial Fists warrior. They heaved the warrior onto the stretcher. The Rustseekers, intent on killing the Astartes, naturally wouldn't watch these cats carry him away in front of them. But just as their sonic blades were about to fall, they were intercepted mid-air by Leon's solar-powered battle axe.

The solar-powered battle axe that intercepted the sonic blade trapped the Rust Seeker who was swinging the blade. Leon swung the battle axe down, splitting the immobilized Rust Seeker into two.

He roughly ripped a cable from the Rust Remover and connected it to his own body, intercepting the Rust Removers' local area network. A huge and chaotic data stream poured out of his body, and countless garbage codes interfered with the data transmission between the Rust Removers.

Taking advantage of the time when the rust removers were disturbed, he swung his axe and chopped down a few more rust removers, then turned around and whispered a reminder to Kurland:

"Retreat, Kurland, retreat to the foot of the Titan and attack the infantry guarding it. Act as if we are going to hijack the Titan!"

Kurland nodded and retreated towards the Titan with the stretcher-carrying Felycat. Sergeant Arlo led the soldiers of the Second Legion to the front. Armed with Monster Hunter weapons, they surrounded Leon and formed an impenetrable line of defense.

The deputy foundry supervisor who was observing the battle from a distance frowned, as he noticed something was wrong.

If a group of Imperial Fists warriors can't defeat them, can they just replace them with another group of Imperial Fists warriors?

The weapons they held looked strange, but from the Deputy Forge Supervisor's perspective, their lethality was probably even less than that of ordinary power swords. What was the point of using such weapons against the Rustseekers?

Even if that sage destroyed the data link between the Rust Seekers...

He secretly deduced the probability of winning or losing this battle in his intelligence core, but no matter how hard he tried, he couldn't see the probability of the Rust Seekers losing. But when the warriors began to fight the Rust Seekers, the Deputy Foundry Supervisor realized that his judgment was ridiculously wrong.

He saw a warrior holding a slender blade who remained calm in the face of the sonic blade slashed by the Rust Seeker. He took a step back with the Rust Seeker like a ghost, then slashed forward and cut the Rust Seeker in half. Even the blade emitted a strange red light!

He saw a warrior holding a shield and a long sword who faced the Rust Seeker's attack without dodging or evading. The Rust Seeker slashed at the shield several times in succession, but failed to break the shield.

Instead, the warrior sheathed his sword into his shield, transforming it into a battle axe. Though the weapon lacked any decomposition capabilities, the axe's impact carried terrifying kinetic energy, shredding several Rustseekers to shreds!

There was even a warrior armed with a one-handed sword and a small round shield fighting with several Rustseekers, although his attack was not as unstoppable as the first warrior, and his defense was not as indestructible as the second warrior.

Yet, he was able to roll and dodge effortlessly under the siege of several Rustseekers, while also having the leisure to throw items like grenades to assist his teammates. His quick reaction made it impossible for the Rustseekers, who were even faster than the Astartes, to catch up!

There were also dual swords, greatswords, and other weapons. Every time the Astartes wielding these strange weapons unleashed a new technique, the Rustseekers' chances of winning head-on would plummet. Every swing of their swords was a death knell for the Rustseekers.

Looking at this far-from-expected scene, the Deputy Foundry Supervisor nearly popped his eyes out of his head. He muttered in disbelief:
