Since the update of Millennium Dawn, this MOD has much more content in politics and economy than the original version. It feels like half of "Victoria 3" and can make non-war players less bored when farming.

The reason why Changchun suddenly wanted to play Millennium Dawn was because she recently discovered a China reset MOD called "The Great Revival", and she wanted to see what the difference was between this MOD and the previous Red Dream.

I asked netizens about this before, and they said that this is much better than Red Dream; this MOD only has one line of the real plane, there is no blue line or extreme left line, the national policy is very detailed, and there are many immersive events.

This led many players to question in the MOD comment section whether the author of the MOD was an official who was tasked by the organization to create this MOD. Later, the author personally clarified that he was just an ordinary person.

After Changchun opened the tightrope, he carefully checked the AI's behavior before starting a new game. After confirming that the behavior of AI Russia, AI Ukraine, AI Kazakhstan, and AI Japan was historical (i.e., the socialist path), he started the game. After all, that's how reality (in the book) is, so there's nothing wrong with it.

"Hey, the first BGM loaded...isn't this "Guanshan Yue" from the National Treasure program?" Changchun initially thought that he would hear the theme song of Millennium Dawn, but he never expected it to be a very Chinese-style orchestral music that combines tradition and modernity.

Although Changchun had heard this song several times, she couldn't help but listen to the whole song. Changchun was deeply moved and gave this song a very high evaluation:

"The whole piece begins with stillness and then moves on to movement. The climax is majestic and imposing... The final section before the closing is full of vigor and excitement before returning to tranquility. It gives people a sense of vicissitudes of life and yet an endless cycle of life. It inexplicably brings tears to my eyes. It's truly a great piece!"

(Guan Shan Yue is really good, the author highly recommends it.)

After entering the game, Changchun browsed through the National Spirit section and commented, "A lot of things are written in great detail, and the buffs and debuffs given are very consistent with China's actual situation around 2000.

Then she opened the national policy. The main line of domestic affairs of the national policy was very organized. From 386, to 486, and then to 586, there was a main line running through it, and there were also densely packed branch lines, which reflected in detail what each term had done.

"This national policy is brilliantly designed, detailing every major accomplishment of each administration. The buffs and introductions to the policy are all very insightful. This author is truly talented; it's a shame he didn't join the Party and work in propaganda."

The author explained in the MOD introduction in the Creative Workshop that he is not a party member and will probably not join the party in the future, so Changchun feels it is a pity.

As mentioned before, Millennium Dawn has an economic system compared to the original Highwire, so fiscal surplus is very important in this game. If the interest rate on foreign debt is too high, the country will collapse and development will be difficult.

"Historically, China had foreign debt of 1476.3 billion US dollars in 2000. This MOD restores this very well. As for fiscal revenue and expenditure, it is a small deficit..." Changchun looked at the various items in the game, seeming to be thinking about something.

Suddenly, she smiled optimistically. "Hey, it's okay, it's okay. This isn't the first time we've played Millennium Dawn. As long as we give Changchun ten years, it's no problem to bring China's economy back to where it was in 2018!"

Thus, Changchun began his career of taking up new posts in the country...ahem...will.

After playing for an entire afternoon, Changchun saved the game and exited. People say a cup of tea and a pack of cigarettes can make up a whole day playing Paradox. But how could Changchun, a Party member with excellent self-control, possibly neglect food and sleep over a game?

Besides, this isn't a short holiday, so it's not suitable to play Paradox all day. Otherwise, it's easy to feel like you're wasting your time, and in the end it's as if you didn't take any holiday at all.

After closing the game, Changchun decided to take care of his other affairs (not in a sly way). People live in society, not in a vacuum. There are always things like family and friends that interrupt your rhythm. There's really nothing you can do about it.

That night, after finishing her work, Changchun sat down at her computer again and noticed a game had automatically updated. She clicked on it, and it was a combination of GAL and Auto Chess—"Resist the Succubus: The End of the Female Knight Corrupted by the Magical Mark"—a new DLC had been released, and it was free.

It is easy to guess the content of this game just by looking at the name. It is definitely not a serious game.

I bought this game because I was interested in the subject matter, or the subject matter was attractive.

The game's theme is roughly this: the heroine, Celine, is a paladin and the lord of Linguang City. She has a firm belief in justice, a strong sense of principle, and loves her people like her own children. She once repelled the demons' attacks when people were most desperate.

Until a new demon leader, Beth (a succubus), suddenly appeared. She took advantage of the heroine's sleep and carved a magic pattern on her lower abdomen. When the strange pattern slowly emerged, the desperate countdown to the siege officially began.

As the city lord, will you uphold your faith and fight with all your might, or choose to sink into your desires? Faced with the increasingly fierce attacks of the demons, will you use your own strength to replenish the treasury emptied by the war, or will you stick to the bottom line and restrain your desires?

Is there a ray of hope ahead, or a dead end?

The main storyline has three endings: a bad ending, a normal ending, and a good ending. Although there are three endings, there are actually only two, because the normal ending is not much better and can almost be classified as a bad ending.

The first time Changchun played the main storyline, he got the good ending. The prerequisite for getting the good ending was that every time Celine couldn't help but feel a little bit excited during the interlude, she must not give in to her desires and must suppress her desire to regenerate herself.

"Are you kidding? When it comes to a decisive battle, no matter how strong your desire is, you have to hold it back. Can't you tell what the main contradiction is? Even if holding back will lead to the enemy getting stronger (game setting), that's not okay!" Changchun was very determined when playing the game.

Later, Changchun worked out the remaining two endings. Maybe because the first time was the best, the remaining two endings did not make much of a difference to Changchun, and he felt very sorry instead.

One fell into the hands of the enemy and became a Star Fury, while the other defended the city, but the magic pattern turned the heroine into a powerful slut in the star universe, ignoring state affairs all day long. In the end, the entire Linguang City degenerated into a big brothel. Who wouldn't sigh after seeing this?

The latest free DLC expands on the bad ending. Changchun found the introduction very interesting and couldn't wait to play it.

The content of the DLC is roughly as follows: After the fall of Linguang City, Celine was captured in the demon base and transformed into a succubus. As a result, Celine relied on her rock-hard will to resist her first estrus.

Beth, the fun-loving succubus, decided to "let the tiger go back to the mountain" after seeing this scene, in order to see whether Celine could stick to her original intention in this form and whether she could still defend Linguang City.

More than two hours later, the computer screen returned to the main menu. Changchun reflected on the plot: "It was quite interesting at the beginning, but something went wrong in the middle and the end..."

"In general, the storyline of the succubus is driven by the conflicting forces between the city lord's rationality and faith, and his instincts and desires after becoming a succubus.

Simply put, Celine's political tactics were relatively immature, causing her to avoid many correct answers. The disparity between her own efforts and the public's perception, coupled with the succubus's subconscious influence, gradually darkened her, leading her to the succubus-like character of the Queen and ultimately her downfall.

She became increasingly dictatorial and domineering, turning everyone around her into her slaves, using them for pleasure all day long. She would verbally abuse and whip anyone who wasn't satisfied. She also imposed a high-handed rule on the society of Linguang City, and anyone who pointed out her faults to her face would be arrested by the guards and taken to the castle as a wrathful punishment..."

Changchun couldn't help but lament when he said this, "Changchun doesn't like this kind of ending. I like a good ending where not only the city is defended, but the trust of the people is regained, and at the same time, my own physiological needs don't have to be suppressed too much."

Changchun then proceeded to analyze the entire process in detail, to understand why Celine, who had been able to resist the succubus's estrus, ultimately fell to this point. The first two paragraphs were merely general analyses; now, the purpose was to clarify Celine's specific missteps.

"First, Celine failed to understand the complexity of the masses. With the general public's low level of education and dialectical thinking, with those harboring ill intentions within, and facing a demonic attack from without, confessing her situation to the public at this moment is an extremely inappropriate choice.

It's no exaggeration to say that this approach would not only significantly destabilize society and hinder unity in the fight against the demons, but would also disrupt Celine's own emotions. From a broader perspective, it would be completely detrimental and ultimately unhelpful. Even if the information were to be announced, it would be best to wait until victory was achieved.

Second, Celine failed to control her emotions during the negotiations. The people elected a representative to negotiate with Celine, proposing that Celine voluntarily resign and hand over the position to Count Ålesund in order to appease public concerns.

Although Celine saw the trap set by the people's representatives, she failed to remain calm and rational. In the end, she angrily scolded the guards and directly ordered them to leave the castle. This gave others the opportunity to make a big fuss.

Third, after choosing to confess, Celine didn't immediately manipulate public opinion. Chairman Mao said, "If we don't seize the high ground of public opinion, the enemy will." It turned out that Count Ålesund was indeed the one who bribed the people and manipulated public opinion to oppose Celine's leadership.

Fourth, after returning to Linguang City, Celine did not take many actions that could give the people actual trust, such as punishing corrupt officials, arresting hooligans, banning unscrupulous businessmen, giving the masses visible and direct benefits, mobilizing the masses, etc.

Maybe Yaheng (the leader of the Knights) did a good job in maintaining public order, but because

This was all he could do within the scope of his authority, and Yaheng did not use this to publicize that it was Celine's achievement, thus missing a great opportunity to alleviate public concerns.

Fifth, Celine, knowing full well that public opinion was in crisis, secretly ran out of town to relax. Not only did she relax, she also went to a deserted alley to generate energy for herself.

Sister, can you generate electricity outside at this critical moment? Can't you just hold back and do it back in the castle? If someone finds out and the news gets out, I'll be in trouble even if I jump into the Volga River!

As expected, she was followed the moment she left the city. The stalker was none other than the public representative who had recently approached her for negotiations. The representative not only wanted to assassinate Celine, but also wanted to publicize what he had witnessed. In desperation, Celine resorted to a desperate tactic—charming the public representative, which marked the beginning of her further downfall.

Sixth, after Celine discovered that Count Ålesund was the culprit, she went to his mansion alone to settle the score. Surrounded by assassins, she was forced to use her charm to break the situation, which further revealed her subconscious succubus nature.

Seventh, the two Star Furies that Celine was forced to accept - the People's Representative and Count Ålesund - became the last straw that broke the camel's back. In the process of serving Celine, they eventually led to the awakening of the queen-like succubus consciousness in Celine's heart. From then on, Celine basically ignored state affairs.

So, looking at the entire plot, Celine is like Emperor Chongzhen, who avoided all the right options in domestic affairs, and with the strong external pressure, she ended up with an irreversible end.

After Changchun finished complaining, he quit the game regretfully.

After she quit the game, she was still thinking, "It's obvious that Celine lacks political ability. She is more suitable to be a warrior than a politician.

If it were Changchun, I wouldn't have ended up like Celine! This is the confidence that Marxism has given me. The invincible materialist dialectics always guides those who use it wisely to face endless complex situations.

As for the succubus's physiological needs, it was shown at the beginning that they can be completely overcome by willpower. Celine's downfall was mainly due to her own mistakes, which caused the deterioration of the objective environment and in turn affected herself.

Changchun couldn't have done so many wrong things, so naturally he wouldn't have fallen into depravity. Also, do I really need someone to satisfy my sexual needs? As a lord, it's not unreasonable for me to raise dozens of male livestock, right?

Besides, I'm not like Celine, who has no self-control. If Big Head can't even control Little Head, what's the point of being a Communist Party member?

Don’t think that I am self-motivated when I have nothing to do. The gameplay and scenes are as intense as the scenes in the anime books. I can control myself very well. Once there is something important to do, I will immediately stop without hesitation and turn to work mode. I just want to ask Celine if she can do it?

Besides, if the succubus's identity and abilities were used correctly and skillfully, they would benefit Linguang City and its people. The nature of the abilities wasn't important; what mattered was how they were used and what their motivations were. It was a shame Celine didn't realize this.

If it were Changchun, those extremely corrupt officials, gangsters, and local tyrants would be waiting to be exhausted and killed. This way, we can deal with the dark side of society while also meeting our daily physiological needs. Isn't that wonderful?

Chapter 455: The Eve of the Founding of New Japan

Throughout July and early August, the Japanese Communist Party was busy doing various political work to prepare for the founding of the country.

The establishment of a capital city and some iconic symbols such as the national flag and emblem are necessary and important.

Let's first talk about the official capital. As we all know, Tokyo has been Japan's capital since the Meiji Restoration. However, in reality, Japan has never had a legal capital; the seat of the Emperor and the central government has always been the default capital.

In order to establish a nation and a national central government, the Japanese Communist Party must choose a place as its official capital. However, there are some minor disagreements within the Japanese Communist Party over this matter.

"Comrade Chairman, Kyoto is not suitable to be the capital of a national government. It has to be Tokyo." Nakano Hiroharu advised Ibaraki Hanasu.

Ibaraki Hanafu shook his head and said, "Tokyo? No, no, that place is too bloated. In the past, when the Liberal Democratic Party was in power, the Liberal Democratic Party begged everyone not to crowd into Tokyo, and even formulated a series of measures.

The capital of a regime inherently promotes economic development in the region where it's located. Kyoto is currently underdeveloped, so establishing a capital there would benefit Kyoto's development in all aspects. Wouldn't that promote balanced regional development? We are now close to China, and Kyoto is closer to China than Tokyo. Wouldn't that facilitate communication?

Besides, even if we don’t talk about the economy, the capital city only needs to ensure administrative and cultural functions. The economic function is secondary. Isn’t Kyoto suitable?

Internationally, Washington is also experiencing this; Beijing has also been shifting non-capital functions over the past seven or eight years. Furthermore, after a year in Kyoto, we've already established the capital's functions, so there's really no need to do so in Tokyo."

"Comrade Chairman, our party's old headquarters is in Tokyo, where we have the largest and most complete network of Party organizations at the grassroots level. Even after a year of construction in Kyoto, the scale and sophistication of Tokyo's administrative facilities are still far beyond Kyoto's reach.

"This is especially true for our Party's old headquarters, which we finally managed to reclaim. It would be a shame to abandon it. Furthermore, the grassroots Party organizations in Tokyo are still being rebuilt, and I believe the Central Committee's presence in Tokyo will greatly assist in their restoration," explained Hiroharu Nakano.

Then Nakano continued: "If it is close to China, we should choose Beijing.

If so, then China didn't establish Harbin as its capital for exchanges with the Soviet Union. Comrade Chairman, I suggest you reconsider this.

You're perfectly fine with holding onto your opinion, but I personally don't think a majority of the Politburo members will agree with you. Not to mention that the decision on the capital still needs to be made through a vote with the other democratic parties. Furthermore, if you're so obsessed with Kyoto, the remnants of the Liberal Democratic Party will likely link you to Ibaraki Douji.

"Let those reactionaries do whatever they want. They'll always find a pretext to accuse someone." After a long moment of thought, Ibaraki Hanafugi decided to back down. "Well, if Kyoto doesn't become the capital, it could be a secondary capital, right?"

 Nakano Koji: "..."

Finally, after Ibaraki Hanasu's efforts, the Central Political Bureau agreed to her suggestion of "using Kyoto as a secondary capital in case of emergency."

The most difficult aspect of preparing for nation-building is undoubtedly managing relations with other political parties. Should they cooperate or be eliminated? Should they have a single-party government or rotate power?

The Japanese Communist Party stated to other parties that anyone who is willing to serve the people, willing to clean up the mess left by the Liberal Democratic Party, and willing to build a more equitable and prosperous Japan is a friend. They should hold a political consultative conference together to discuss the future path.

At the meeting, other parties were mainly concerned about two issues: whether Japan's democratic politics could be maintained, and why it had to take the socialist path. They also discussed why the ruling party had to be the Japanese Communist Party and other parties could only be in the opposition, as well as the issue of nationalization of the military.

The Japanese Communist Party painstakingly and meticulously explained these issues, and every member of the Central Political Bureau was mobilized to address the questions posed by other parties.

First, the Japanese Communist Party expounded on Marxist democratic theory and, using vivid domestic and international facts, pointed out the class nature of democracy and the diversity of its forms, and the essential difference between multi-party rule and one-party rule.

The form of democracy is certainly important, but if democracy is not put into practice, does not reflect the people's right to be masters of their own country, and does not ensure the well-being of the people, then no matter how multi-party the system is, how many rotations of power there are, or what kind of election method is used, it is all false democracy.

Second, the JCP has demonstrated that socialism is the only way out of Japan's current social problems. Building socialism is an unprecedented undertaking in Japan, and it is impossible without a Marxist party of considerable size and sustained political power. The key lies in ensuring that this party remains detached from reality and the masses.

Third, the JCP being the sole ruling party does not mean that other parties must remain in the permanent opposition. On the contrary, other parties can become participating parties. The JCP and other parties should have a long-term relationship of coexistence, cooperation, and mutual supervision, rather than an opposition relationship.

Specifically, political parties can participate in the consultation on major national policies and the selection of government personnel, participate in the management of state affairs, and participate in the formulation and implementation of national guidelines, policies, laws and regulations.

The opposition party can only hold on to its existing parliamentary seats and influence the ruling party through voting on bills and political lobbying. This is the essential difference between political parties and opposition parties.

Fourth, the Japanese Communist Party explicitly stated that nationalizing the military was absolutely impossible. The Japanese Communist Party explained that, first, the People's Revolutionary Army was founded by the Japanese Communist Party. Second, the military as a whole may appear neutral, but in reality, it is anything but neutral.

On the contrary, due to the influence of the real social environment, members of the military always have political leanings of one kind or another. Moreover, the Self-Defense Forces themselves have been trained in ideology, which is a manifestation of ideology. Therefore, neutrality itself is a false proposition.

Ideologicalization itself is a neutral term; the key question is what kind of ideology it is? Is it a right-wing military that represents the plutocratic bureaucracy, or a left-wing military that stands on the side of the people?

Practice has proven that political power comes from the barrel of a gun. If we had not chosen revolution, the Liberal Democratic Party would still be wreaking havoc in Tokyo. And people's power must be defended by a military that stands on the side of the people. How can we ensure the military's people-centered stance? Only the absolute leadership of the proletarian party over the military can ensure this.

This is just as Lenin pointed out: "There are two institutions that best characterize this state machine: bureaucracy and the standing army." Therefore, the issue of the army's affiliation is not a question that can be discussed.

After answering these most important questions, the Japanese Communist Party also responded to other questions one by one, gradually alleviating or dispelling other parties' concerns and misunderstandings about the Japanese Communist Party.

After more than two weeks of lengthy discussions, the Japanese Communist Party reached a consensus with other independents including the Constitutional Democratic Party, the Social Democratic Party, the Democratic Party for the People, and the Reiwa Shinsengumi.

Huh? Some people ask where the Japan Restoration Party has gone? It's a staunchly neoliberal right-wing group. Headquartered in Osaka, it was banned by the Japanese Communist Party during the first wave of the revolution. The only parties left in Japan now are left-wing or center-left parties, as well as centrists and other remnants of the student movement of the last century.

All parties recognized the ruling status of the Japanese Communist Party and accepted its leadership. The next day, they held a political consultative conference to discuss matters related to nation-building, such as the capital, the style of the national flag and emblem, and the formulation of a set of programmatic documents for use during the transition period.

On the day the Japanese Communist Party delegation returned to headquarters after reaching an agreement with the other parties, Ibaraki Hanasu praised each of the attendees. "Over the past two weeks, I've been so tired I've almost lost my temper. Thank you all for your joint efforts. When everyone adds fuel, the flames rise!"

 “No hand

It's hard to say if we have the support of the military. Perhaps the fact that we have an army is the ultimate reason why other parties are willing to sit down and cooperate with us.

"It's important to speak the truth, but you need to have the right tools to get the other party to calm down and listen to you," said one representative.

Three days before the founding ceremony, the Japanese Political Consultative Conference formally adopted the "Common Guidelines of the Japanese People's Political Consultative Conference", which serves as a programmatic document for the transition period to socialism and serves as a temporary constitution.

The meeting also passed resolutions on the national flag, national emblem, and national anthem, designated Tokyo as the legal capital and Kyoto as the legal secondary capital, and decided to hold the founding ceremony in Tokyo on August 7.

The Common Program is divided into two major parts: the preface and the general outline.

The preface first introduces the social background and practical needs for the formulation of the "Common Program", and introduces the nature of the CPPCC at the current stage.
