Marvel Salted Fish Kryptonian

Henry, back to his normal life, still wanders on the periphery of a certain circle, not quite sure whether to enter or not. His daily routine consists of work at Stark Films and spending time with his girlfriend during breaks from filming.
Charlize Theron's life is very different from the past now that her work is starting to get on track.
Sometimes, evening acting practice would be replaced with script readings, with Henry helping her figure out how to play the role. Charlize would first present her ideas, and then Henry would add to them.
These scripts may not necessarily be the roles that I got, and some may just be parts of the scripts that I got for the audition roles. But Charlize will still spend time thinking about how to perform.
Although most of the time they spend together is occupied by work, they always have some time to spend together whenever they meet.
Charlize also seems to prefer this way of getting along, rather than allowing herself to be surrounded by meticulous love and then get lost in it.
Although his acting training sessions were much less frequent than before, Henry still watched movies, either in the cinema or by renting videotapes.
This wasn't to say he never read or looked at comics, but when it came to turning pages of paper, he would involuntarily use super speed to finish reading in seconds without anyone around.
In comparison, once a videotape is played, it will last for an hour or two.
Unlike today's digital images, videotapes can be played back at multiple times without distortion. Fast-forwarding a videotape fills up the image with noise, making it impossible to make out anything.
So this is an activity that can effectively waste time, which is very precious for him, a Kryptonian with super speed.
Don't ask why I don't do some scientific research when I have time. If I want to do research, I need to have a goal. Do I really want to sail to the stars and the sea? That's not something that can be solved by simply flying into the sky...
Henry watches at least one movie a day, cuddles his girlfriend whenever she's around, and spends the rest of his time doing research. This is his daily routine these days.
Before work, he would usually return his expired videotapes at Blockbuster, so he could grab a different breakfast on the way.
Henry felt that he would live this kind of decadent life for the rest of his life, where he had no worries about money, had girls to hug, and could slack off at work.
But today's Blockbuster... was attacked by terrorists?
A lone police car was parked at the entrance, alongside vehicles belonging to local security personnel. One of the floor-to-ceiling windows on the front of Blockbuster was broken, and the police who arrived had hastily put up some cordon tape to prevent anyone from entering.
Henry walked forward and looked inside. The interior of Blockbuster looked like it had been attacked by a catapult. There was a large hole in the ceiling, and there were signs of things being smashed inside.
In front of the shattered French window stood a damaged human-shaped sign. It was from one of the hit movies of 94, "True Lies," starring Arnold Schwarzenegger.
However, most of the male protagonist's part was destroyed, leaving only the portrait of the female lead Jamie Lee Curtis and the recognizable movie title in the lower half.
"Hey, what are you doing!" the policeman behind shouted.
Henry quickly raised the bag in his hand. "I'm here to return the videotape, sir. Today is the deadline. But...it looks like they can still open?"
Knowing that it was a serious matter and that the person was standing outside the cordon and not trying to get in, the police stopped saying anything.
Instead, the fat security guard in charge of this area said, "You should put the videotape in the 24-hour return box. The police have already collected the evidence this morning."
"Now we just have to wait for the Blockbuster people to come in and clean up the place and restore it to its original state. When they get here, they'll also take care of the returned tapes in the return box."
Seeing the fat security guard coming over, Henry asked while sorting out the videotapes: "What happened? There's a big hole in the ceiling. Could it be a meteorite?
"If a meteorite of that size had fallen, the entire Blockbuster would have been blown up. It wouldn't have just smashed some videotape racks. Could it be that some mutants are fighting here?"
The fat security guard seemed to be having a hard time speaking out, and he blurted out, "No, I've already told the FBI. It was a woman in a green bodysuit who fell from the sky. The window was broken by a laser."
"The woman also went to the nearby RadioShack and looted some communications equipment. I don't know what she took; I'll have to wait for the RadioShack employees to come and count it.
"If you had come earlier, you might have seen her. But there was another fight, and she ran after someone, and the FBI ran after her. Then there was no one here anymore.
"Oh, that's not right to say there's no one. There was an unlucky guy who was left behind. He's young, but his hairline has receded quite a bit, and his forehead is very bald. He'll be bald sooner or later. He was picked up not long ago."
Chapter 342: The Skrulls Appear
After finishing his words in one breath, the fat security guard suddenly added, "Do you believe it?"
If it were in the world before the time travel, Henry would never believe anything the fat security guard said, because what he said was too unbelievable.
A woman falling from the sky? This isn't City Hunter, where brides will fall from the sky.
But this is the Marvel Universe, and it's hard not to think of a certain woman in this development. This is the origin film of Captain Marvel, Marvel's officially recognized superpower.
In reality, the memories of those movies were so distant that Henry usually didn't pay much attention to them. But with his super brain's memory, with just a hint of something, he could quickly follow the clues and remember everything.
However, the plot of a movie can't be relied upon for foresight. Even a slight difference in the course of events could easily lead to a completely different outcome. Furthermore, a two-hour film can't possibly reveal all the details of the changes.
So Henry made up his mind not to get involved this time and decided to ignore the matter.
There won’t be another Mystique who will force me to go on a mission to fight a group of unknown aliens.
...I always feel like I've raised the flag. The more I say no, the more it happens.
...Well, I haven't felt this way before. The more I talked about it, the more I felt something was wrong. Henry shook his head quickly, as if to shake off bad luck.
However, Henry couldn't ignore the fat security guard's eagerness to talk. "Believe it, of course I believe it. Mutants have already messed up the world enough, so if there are more weird things, it's no surprise."
"Yeah. But then they just laughed at me, saying how could such a thing be possible."
Henry lowered his voice pretentiously and said, "Have you ever thought that maybe they just use this statement to make you shut up?"
The security guard followed Henry's example and whispered, "I think so too. So what do you think I should do?"
"Sell the news to a tabloid reporter and earn some beer money. What else do you want to do? Do you think you can kill the Predator in the jungle like Arnold did and take away his high-tech equipment? I think the chances of being killed by a self-explosion are higher."
"That's true." The pot-bellied security guard patted his belly, but his eyes were not as hot as at the beginning.
Henry clapped his hands after putting the organized tapes into the return box. "Done. Let's go. How long will you guys have to wait?"
The fat security guard said, "I don't know either. Logically, after I reported what happened here, the company should have notified Blockbuster and Ruixia. Someone from them should have come a long time ago, but no one has shown up yet. I don't know what's going on."
"Well, I have to go to work. I'm leaving now."
"Yeah." The two people who met by chance didn't say goodbye or anything like that. They just nodded and parted ways.
While Henry was returning the videotape and chatting with the fat security guard, a group of people gathered on the rooftop in the distance. They were dressed in different styles, including blue-collar workers, white-collar workers, men, women, young and old.
Henry was wary of this gathering of people. If they were FBI or LAPD agents, and their target was him, he would have to start looking for an escape route.
The method of escape is very simple. As long as you disappear from the other party's sight for a short time and are not captured by the surveillance camera, you can immediately use super speed or fly away.
With this trick, no one has been able to stop him yet. Henry has practiced Batman's true vanishing technique very diligently.
He had already been stopped by the FBI twice for no apparent reason and taken to inexplicable places. Even if he was a fool, Henry knew this shouldn't happen a third time.
Otherwise, as a Kryptonian, I would be inexplicably stopped by people from these official organizations, and they would just put a hat on me and take me away. It would be really annoying.
So whenever Henry felt he was being targeted, he would plan his escape route. The moment his opponent made a move, he would disappear without a trace. Unless he sent Quicksilver after him!
However, I heard this guy left the X-Men and didn't stay at the school for gifted youngsters. X-Men members come and go, with only a few remaining members. It's not surprising that some join and some leave.
The group of people in the distance didn't seem to want to do anything to him, they just gathered together and talked. Henry stopped paying attention to them.
Little did they know that the target of their discussion was precisely them. Or rather, they were surprised to see an alien life form, a Kryptonian, on the C-53 planet in the Kree Empire's star sequence that was home to life.
"Are you sure that guy who looks like a native of the planet is a Kryptonian cockroach?"
A Skrull said seriously: "Kryptonians have DNA locks. They are one of the very few life forms in the universe that we cannot completely copy and transform. It is impossible to mistake them.
"My ability can only replicate his appearance. If I try to go further, I'll encounter rejection. Of course, I can't even make his DNA identical."
"Yes, I can confirm that it was a Kryptonian cockroach. Although we haven't encountered Kryptonians in a long time in our history, their description of rejecting our type's ability to transform is exactly the same as what I encountered. This is proof."
This group of people are the Skrulls, a highly technologically advanced alien race that accidentally landed on Earth. Their racial innate ability is to transform into any living or non-living thing they see, and to acquire short-term memories.
Because of their talents, the Skrulls have a natural aversion to races with similar abilities or those that can restrain their abilities.
For example, the DeBerry people, who approached Earth three years ago to steal the power of the Phoenix, are also able to mimic the life forms of other races, although they do not share the same DNA at the level.
However, due to the power of the Deberi, their forces have been repeatedly attacked by the Skrull Empire in the universe. This is because the Deberi's home planet is within the territory of the Shi'ar Empire, which is why they were not exterminated by the Skrulls.
The Krypton of this universe also seemed to have some connection with the Skrulls. Judging from the names these Skrulls used, the relationship wasn't friendly. Henry, who wasn't paying attention to this, had no idea of all this.
But even if he noticed, he couldn't decipher the Skrull language he heard for the first time. Although Henry had learned many languages with the support of his super brain, they were not all the known languages on Earth, let alone regional dialects.
So even if Henry noticed the strange conversation, he probably wouldn't have taken it to heart.
Chapter 343: Work at Stark Films
However, this group of Skrulls did not give up their attention on this Kryptonian just because of Henry's indifference.
One of them asked, "How do we deal with this Kryptonian cockroach? This isn't a galaxy with green stars. And we don't have the conditions to transform stars right now."
"Well, do any of you remember the characteristics of Kryptonians? I only remember that they become very weak under red stars, and are weakened to the point of death under green stars."
"Who would remember the defeated enemy from nine thousand years ago? I only remember their performance under the red and green stars. The red star is the star type of the Krypton system, and the green star of the Barrington System is the battlefield where the Skrull Empire defeated the Kryptonian fleet."
'So what would become of the Kryptonians under a yellow star?'
All the Skrulls looked up at the sunlight. Unfortunately, human pupils and optic nerves could not withstand the brightness of the sunlight. Their eyes could not bear the stimulation, tears welled up, and they fell into a temporary blindness.
Well, they're soldiers, which means they're all terrible students. Who even remembers the detailed history of the Skrull Empire? Their teachers would be happy to know about Kryptonians.
"Looks like we have no choice but to contact General Talos and ask him what he's going to do. Hopefully, this Kryptonian cockroach won't interfere with our plans."
This group of Skrulls came from the same battleship. Unfortunately, their battleship was destroyed by the Kree elite interstellar team, so the soldiers on board could only take the escape pod and make an emergency landing on the planet code-named C-53.
General Talos was the leader of this group of Skrulls, so when they were in doubt, they naturally thought of this leader.
But after landing on Earth, most of them lost contact with each other.
Following their code of conduct, they immediately transformed into the appearance of the planet's natives to avoid detection by the indigenous government. Disguise was always a priority for the Skrulls, especially since their normal forms differed significantly.
Now, they have to find a way to reconnect with each other.
However, the opinion of contacting the leader was not agreed by everyone.
As the most ambitious Skrull, Irving said: "The reason why Krypton is rejected by the entire universe and even the mother planet is blocked by the Phantom Zone, people inside can't get out and people outside can't get in, there must be a reason.
"General Talos has his own goals to pursue. Shouldn't we share his worries and deal with this Kryptonian ourselves? We don't know how this Kryptonian broke through the blockade and arrived at Planet C-53, nor do we know his purpose."
"What if he's colluding with the Kree? What if he's hindering General Talos's actions? Even if we can't kill him, at least we have to make sure he can't cause us any trouble."
The Skrulls present looked at each other, and one of them asked, "Irving, what are you going to do? Are you going to try to assassinate him?"
"No, let's do what we do best. Infiltrate the indigenous government of this planet and have them help us eliminate that Kryptonian. We just need to find a way to sow discord between the two sides. The key to our operation is still to stay hidden."
All the Skrulls nodded in agreement with Irving's opinion. Espionage and infiltration were essential skills for nearly every adult Skrull. Sowing discord was a skill they excelled at.
Although this was their first time on this backward planet, they quickly found the best way to frame someone in this indigenous society from the stolen appearances and short-term memories.
Everyone has found a suitable role and entry point for themselves. If the current identity is not suitable, they will steal another one.
This was a daily routine for the Skrulls, and everyone was adept at running such a thing.
Of course, it was impossible for a man who was being targeted to realize that he was being plotted against before he even came into contact with the other party. Henry still went to work according to his usual habits.
The first task, of course, is to monitor the maintenance and upgrade progress of a series of film post-production software. The next task is to monitor the progress of research on UHD codecs.
Because many of the software are jointly developed, Henry imported git, a distributed version control software for joint development and version control on the server within the local area network.
This way, he doesn't have to visit every department in person. Instead, he can check the update progress in Git to get a general idea of the software's status. A Gantt chart shows everyone's ideal progress, and if anyone falls short, he can simply check in.
Although CVS, a GNU General Public License-licensed software, had long been available for such collaboration, it had limitations and flaws, so Henry simply switched to the more user-friendly Git.
Because it was backed by the Hollywood Boy supercomputer and servers for network functionality, this Git software naturally caught Tony Stark's eye and was naturally adopted for internal use within Stark Industries.
Henry's condition was simple: use GNU, and he would provide people for subsequent maintenance, and then you could use it freely.
Tony Stark certainly wouldn't object, as the only version that would be released would be the public version. The upgraded version for internal use was an internal matter, including encryption and upgraded network security measures.
This is true of many GNU-licensed software. Anyone with the ability to modify it will make changes to suit their needs. As long as they don't sell it commercially, it's still within the scope of the license.
As for whether the modified version will be made public, that depends on the circumstances. Stark Industries' use of the software involves company secrets and programs under development, so they certainly won't foolishly expose it, allowing those with ulterior motives to exploit vulnerabilities.
Besides these official tasks, Henry inevitably used the supercomputer's resources for some personal work, primarily developing his own EDA and simulation software.
When the chip manufacturing process reaches the nano level, Henry has a high chance of making mistakes if he relies solely on the previous method, that is, using the super brain to think, coordinate the senses of the whole body and use tools to rub the chip by hand.
With such a small process, one mistake will render the entire chip scrapped and everything will have to start from scratch.
In order to reduce such situations, it is better to design and simulate the operation first to see what the situation will be. This will be less frustrating than just rubbing it by hand and then failing.
On the other hand, Henry also began to explore topological core architectures, moving towards the field of quantum computers. This would avoid blindly improving traditional manufacturing processes simply to speed up the computer's instruction cycle.
Without Tony Stark's enthusiastic sponsorship, it would take an indefinite amount of time to develop these supercomputers with only the homemade tools at home.
As Henry has high-level permissions and can secretly obtain administrator permissions when necessary, it is extremely easy for him to do his own things without being discovered.
Only when Tony came to the West Coast did Henry exercise some restraint in using the supercomputer.
As for whether the young master discovered his own affairs, Henry didn't care much. Just like Henry would try to hack into the virtual host used by Tony Stark to see if there was any black technology worth studying.
Another less important task is that the production department will put the screened projects or scripts on Henry's desk for selection, along with the production department's evaluation results, publicity methods and expected profits.
