This time, Feng Xiuyu was really frightened. After all, anybody who woke up to find a dead body staring straight at them would be terrified to pieces.

"Father, it must have been Feng Tianlan! She hung this corpse at my door to frighten me," Feng Xiuyu's face was pale as she angrily screamed. "Father, kill her now! Kill that despicable girl!"

"Yu'er," Xu Jiayi chided her.

"What's going on?" Feng Xiang's face was grave as he questioned Xu Jiayi. "Did you send someone to kill her?"

"She deserves to die! I want her to die!" Feng Xiuyu hated Feng Tianlan so much. She couldn't hide how much she wanted her to die anymore.

Xu Jiayi saw that Feng Xiang was becoming angry, so she quickly explained, "I didn't send someone to kill her. I just wanted someone to teach her a lesson on Yu'er's behalf."

She wondered: since when was Feng Tianlan so tricky to deal with? She wanted to kill Feng Tianlan as soon as possible. But then, she thought about the treasure and told herself that she had to keep it together.

"I told you to control your anger already. It's only a month until my birthday celebration, and then we'll get the token. After that, I don't care how she dies," Feng Xiang angrily stared at the both of them. "I will pretend that this whole thing didn't happen, but neither of you is to step outside until Pei'er comes back."

"Father!" Feng Xiuyu clutched her blanket as she shouted back, "Mother and I didn't do anything wrong. Why are you grounding us! Why!"

Xu Jiayi tried to soothe Feng Xiuyu with a gentle voice, "Listen to your father. You're always losing control of your temper. That's why you keep getting the short end of the stick."

"But Mother…" Feng Xiuyu was angry and felt unfairly treated, but there was nothing else she could do except lie in bed and cry in agony.

"Take good care of Yu'er. I don't want any more accidents."

Feng Xiang turned to leave, snorting as he walked past the corpse. That was definitely a killer. He was not sent just to teach Feng Tianlan a lesson, as his wife had said. But Xu Jiayi was useful to him in other ways, so he wasn't going to do anything to her. It wasn't really a bad thing to give Feng Tianlan a warning.

Xu Jiayi sat at her daughter's bedside and watched as Feng Xiuyu continued to howl and cry. She sighed and scolded her, "Yu'er, I've told you time and again to control your anger. Why can't you just hold it in?"

"How can you expect me to hold it in? I'm going to become a concubine! Once I'm a concubine, I'll be oppressed by the wife! You came in as a concubine too. Shouldn't you understand this better than I do?"

When Feng Xiuyu mentioned her past, Xu Jiayi shouted, "Yu'er!"

PAK! Before she could finish her sentence, she felt a hard slap across her face, which stunned her for a few moments. Tears filled her eyes as she said, "Mother! You hit me! How could you hit me!"

Her mother had never hit her, and her father never shouted at her. Feng Tianlan had caused this change in them. Now, her father had grounded her, and her mother had slapped her.

Hate! All Feng Xiuyu felt toward Feng Tianlan was intense hatred!

"Once we get the treasure, we can kill her. So what if we receive the token as part of your dowry as a concubine? We'll kill her the moment we get the treasure, and you won't be married yet.
