The Fake Daughter Is Not Innocent

Xiao Ying thought for a moment and took out a transparent folder from her bag. The plastic was quite hard.

She asked, “Will this do?”

Zhou Yao nodded.

He grabbed the folder and tore it in half. Then, he slid it through the opening in the door, finding the correct spot, and swiped it across forcefully.

The door opened.

Xiao Ying could not help but open her mouth wide. She looked at Zhou Yao in shock and said, “You even know how to break locks?”

Zhou Yao looked at her and did not speak.

Xiao Ying gave him a thumbs up.

“You were too cool just now,” she said.

This was the first time she had seen someone unlock a door like that. She felt that she had learned something new.

Zhou Yao’s ears reddened, trembling awkwardly.

The two of them successfully entered the house.

When they looked through the window earlier, it was a little blurry.

Now, the furniture in the house was clearly reflected in their eyes.

There was a huge cabinet that looked a little old. On it were some documents, including the one that the manager had just used.

In front of the cabinet were a few wooden boxes that looked like coffins.

Xiao Ying first picked up the documents and read through them. On it were some unknown codes, times, symptoms, and delivery addresses.

Every record was different, except for the delivery address.

The first address was University A.

The rest were all at Saint Forest Hospital.

Xiao Ying looked at the first message. Code 001; 01/23/2016; Hysteria; University A.

This timing coincided with the time she had gotten the monkey.

“These records show the time and symptoms of the monkeys’ deaths and where they were sent.”

Zhou Yao noticed this and nodded.

There was a noise outside the door and they quickly went out, closing the door behind them and hiding.

The manager had returned, but the box in his hand was already gone.

She watched him enter and pick up the documents they had just touched.

Xiao Ying’s heart rose to her throat. Fortunately, he did not notice anything wrong.

He double-checked the times on the document and left.

Xiao Ying and Zhou Yao found what they wanted to know and did not stay for long.

They left the zoo.

Their destination was Saint Forest Hospital.

Saint Forest Hospital was a private hospital. It was not well known and Xiao Ying could only collect a few pieces of information online.

It felt even stranger.

The two of them took a taxi there, and a huge sign was hanging outside.

It was a three-story building, and patients were coming and going through the entrance.

From the glass door at the door, she could see the queue line in the lobby. It looked very normal.

Xiao Ying did not choose to enter through the front door. Instead, she circled around the hospital and indeed discovered a secret door.

The last recorded time on the documents at the zoo was today.

The box that the zoo manager had brought out must have contained a monkey’s corpse. It was impossible for them to enter through the front door in broad daylight, so there was only one possibility. This hospital must have a back door.

She had just turned a corner when she heard movement.

The two of them stayed in place warily. They quietly peeked their heads out.

A van was parked in front of a door, and a group of people in white coats were carrying things back and forth.

Xiao Ying and Zhou Yao looked at each other.

A voice suddenly sounded from behind them.

“What are you doing?” The person who spoke also leaned over and looked out from their angle.
