The Alpha's Return

Praneeth took the highest seat at the head of the table. But, none of the politicians, the actors, and the celebrities even questioned his authority.

"Well then, last time this happened, the council of ten lost a member. Let us hope that we are prepared this time.", Praneeth said softly.

"We promised never to talk about that!", One of the women, the same who was speaking earlier spat out.

"The situation demands it, Adrienna. It is not like I can change the past. We can only learn from the past, and hope to fix the future. I am just here to warn you of the hundred things that can possibly go wrong.", Praneeth sighed. He leaned back to his chair, crossing his legs..

"Well, what is the plan then? Are we going to allow him to completely turn and let him go through with his revenge, or do we stop him before that happens?", a man asked.

"I was not the one who called you here. Lucas did. I just did as I was instructed. Lucas very well knows the gravity of the situation, and the moment that his eyes turned red, he got you guys here. I am sure that it is best to allow him to go through with the fight, and then we can go in.", Michael pitched in.

"Are you an idiot? Fenrir is strongest when the blood is thick.", the same man retorted.

"Do you think that it is easy, staying put for a month after your own beta tries to kill you? Lucas was not still all these years. He was making amends. His entire pack is full of rejects, orphans, the people that the society cast away. He was trying to correct the mistakes that he made before. If he doesn't fix this mishap now, I am afraid that he will descend into an unsavable state.", Michael sighed.

"All his amends mean nothing. Nothing he can ever do will change what he did in the past.", the man spat.

"At least he tries. That means that he has his bloodlust in control. When I first met Lucas, he was the most blood thirsty person I had ever seen. Over the years, that changed. I will not let all that go to waste. He should be able to let go of the past, let him do that one thing.", Praneeth said.

"But, that might come at the cost of someone innocent. What are you going to so then?", the same man retorted.

"I will be there. Every time Lucas went berserk, I was there. This time will be no different. It was my responsibility. Last I checked, no one became the new High Priest.", Praneeth said with that same soft tone.

"High priest my foot. Hypocrite. Do you think that I don't know about the number of times you change bodies? Which poor boy sacrifices his life for you to get this body?", the man scoffed.

Praneeth opened his eyes wide with anger. Then, on his forehead, a slit appeared. It started opening up slowly, and it revealed a truly terrifying sight. Praneeth had a third eye on his forehead.

The man closed his ears, but it seemed that the rest of the people in the room were unaffected. Praneeth closed his eyes, and so did his third eye. He breathed in and out a few times and opened his eyes again.

"Come on, we have more important things to decide. Arthur, you should shut up if you have nothing to offer to this discussion.", Michael said. The man turned his face to the other way, his face still dark.

The opinions across the room were varied, and they finally held a vote.

"Well then, I believe all of us agree in that Lucas will be allowed to take his revenge on his beta.", Praneeth asked everyone.
