The Alpha's Return

"What do you mean by 'He's still alive?'!!!", Peter shouted. In front of him was a veil, and behind that veil was the rough outline of a woman. And from the body shape, this woman was clearly quite the voluptuous one.

"Never raise that tone with me.", a soft melodious voice came from the woman. Immediately, Peter could feel a thousand knives pressing against him, or at least, it seemed like it.

"You really don't know who your alpha was? I wonder how he kept it under wraps with his own pack. Hmmm.... to think that they don't know.", the woman pondered out loud..

"What do you mean by that? What are you talking about.", Peter asked the woman.

"I mean, if you actually killed Lucas, then the whole of Brooklyn, no, the whole of New York would be in shambled right now. Have you seen the news today? That is clearly not the case.", the woman said.

"The whole of New York would be in shambles? Are you joking with me right now? Lucas was so weak that I could kill him on my own if I really wanted to try.", Peter had a smug look.

"Kekeke. You are not Lucas' beta are you? Lucas couldn't possibly have bit you.", the woman asked.

"What do you mean I am not his beta? I am the alpha now. I wasn't bit by him, but I was his beta.", Peter responded swiftly, clearly offended.

"You weren't bit by him? Hmph. I though that he did. Then how did he take you into his pack? Alpha's are very careful in this regard. Hold on.. wait a minute.. are you all strays?", the woman asked, amused by this conversation.

Peter looked away. His face was ugly. He bit his lip and stared down with shame.

The woman chuckled. "No wonder you know nothing about the red wolf. Haha, and to think that I spent so much on you, to get that wolfsbane and give you all that poison to weaken him over time. I knew I placed too much trust in you. See yourself out. I am going to have to look for someone that I can trust to finish the job", she said. The door behind them opened all of a sudden.

"What do you mean by that? I did everything that you ever wanted. I betrayed my own alpha so that I can become one, and now you are saying that I am not even that? You are the one that caused all of this. You should comen-", Peter raged when the woman coldly retorted, "Get out."

Peter fell back immediately as he fell behind the door. The door closed shut on his face. Peter bit his lip with anger, but the injury healed in a heart beat.

"Lucas.. Even in your death you are causing trouble for me. Don't worry. I will take you out of whatever grave you are lying at and then I shall claim my prize.", the angry face changed to one much worse. It felt like all the darkness in the world could be felt in that wicked smile of his.

Inside the room,

"Peter had given my name out. We have to complete this before Fenrir wakes up, or we are going to be in big trouble. Send a pack after him. Raeger seems like he is very free lately. Send him over. I want this done swift and easy. He should be very injured and still recovering from the wolfsbane variant.", the woman said coldly.

"Yes Marquess", a voice came from seemingly nowhere.

"Oh, and, after all of this is over, I want Lucas' pack annihilated. No survivors."

"Including Peter?", the second voice asked.

"Including Peter."
