【jaytim】Falling In Love In Just a Week
Chapter 9 9
This time Bart brought Tim back to Gotham.Kang was called back to see some Kryptonian war again - Tim wasn't quite sure what that was about.Usually, he would ask clearly, such as what kind of conspiracy and tricks General Zod and other Kryptonians are up to, but unfortunately he doesn't have the extra energy to take care of others at the moment.
Tim didn't tell Jason the exact time he arrived at the apartment. To his surprise Jason didn't cut the rope. But that's not surprising either. Now that he is familiar with Jason's personality, the other party may just want to be a good person, and after Tim comes back and talks to him, he will make a clean break.Maybe the two of them would do it together, which Tim had heard a lot of soul mates do.
"Hi."
"Oh my God!" Tim yelled in shock when he heard Kashan's voice. The TV was on, and she was sitting on his sofa eating rice crackers. "What are you doing here?"
Kassan pointed to the TV. "I'm watching How I Met Your Mother, and it's great."
A heartbreaking reality show about soul mates. "Are you watching this?"
Cassan nodded. "You don't like it?"
"No, I don't care." Tim sat down next to her, and Cassie handed him the rice cracker candy with a smile.
"Would you like some?"
"It's mine," Tim said, taking some, showing the girl his face. She continued to look at the TV. "So...why are you here?"
"Stephanie and Jason were out," Kassan explained. She took the remote control and raised her hand to turn off the TV. "I want to wait for you here. Tell Jason you're back and I'll let him know."
Tim felt his mouth go dry. "Why isn't he waiting for me here?"
"Said he didn't want to sound like a pervert," Kassan replied.
Tim chuckled.A pervert.Like how many times he hadn't popped up at Tim's safehouse, bloodied the couch, ordered Tim to bandage him, turned around and left without saying thank you.
"So you want to tell him now?"
Kassan shrugged. "Do you want me to inform him?"
Tim was questioned.Did he want Jason to come over right away?He had spent the whole day rehearsing for the inevitable, yet he still didn't feel ready for the end. "I have no idea."
"Then I won't tell him."
"Thank you."
Cassan smiled at him and picked up the remote again. "Watch an episode together?"
Tim relaxes beside him. "OK."
————————————————————
Tim didn't actually talk until they had watched two episodes.
"I'm scared, Kassan."
"I understand," she said. "It's really scary."
Tim stared at his red line.God, he'd looked at it literally a million times in the past week, to the window where the red line was gone.Kassan's red line follows the same direction, probably because Stephanie and Jason are now together.
"Are you afraid?"
"Of course," Kassan said. "Stephanie was dating you. I'm pretty sure she'll break it."
"She didn't."
Kashan smiled softly. "No, she didn't."
Tim lifted his knees to his chest. "He doesn't want a soulmate," Tim whispers. "but me--"
"You like him," Kassan said. "But, do you want him to be your soul mate?"
Tim turned crimson. "Thought," he admitted softly. "I want."
"Then tell him."
Tim knew she was right and he had to tell Jason.Even though being rejected is heartbreaking, Jason has a right to know the truth. There is still a small chance, maybe Jason will respond...
Kashan reached into the pocket of her purple sweater. It was a messer sweater, and it was cute how Cassan acted in her girlfriend merchandise. She pulls out her unmuted phone, and now that Tim has turned the TV off again, her typing and texting is the only sound in the apartment.
"Then I'm leaving. He'll be there in a moment." Kassan got up from the sofa and put her hand on Tim's shoulder. "tell him."
Tim couldn't help but smile. "Do I have any other options?"
"There's always a choice." She put her hand on Tim's heart and walked out the door.Tim sighed and lay back on the couch.Raise your arm and watch the scene where the red line moves with each flick of his hand.
The door clicked and he remembered that he had given Jason the key sometime last week. The door opened, but he didn't move, listening to Jason's familiar footsteps entering the apartment.
"Hi," Jason greeted, sounding breathless.Tim dropped his arms and slowly straightened up and turned around.
"You came running," Tim pointed out.Jason's hair curled up in all directions, and his cheeks were slightly flushed. He was wearing a leather jacket and a red motorcycle helmet tucked under his arm.
"Tsk, otherwise how do you think I came back so quickly?" He walked into the room and put the helmet right on the sofa table in front of Tim.
"You don't have to worry about it," Tim said.
"Can I take it easy?" Jason took off his jacket and threw it on the sofa next to Tim. "You know, I'm kind of mad at you."
"Oh." Tim pursed his lips. "I understand. I'm sorry."
Jason took a breath and finally sat down next to Tim. "You're an idiot."
"Well, I'm often silly."
"Really?"
"Not really."
Jason snorted and rolled his eyes. "I'm not mad at you anymore, Tim. I mean, I'm kind of annoyed, but I can't—when I see you in person, I just..." He shrugged. "Why did you leave?"
"I can't stay there," Tim said. "I woke up with you next to me. What else could I do? Pretend that day never happened?"
Hearing this Jason shook his head. "Why do you always wishful thinking that I want to pretend nothing happened?"
"How would I know! Is there any other way out for us? We're not—" Tim's voice trails off. "I can't stay because I wake up scared I have to cut the rope, get it? I can't."
Jason stared at him with wide eyes. "I didn't cut the rope."
"Notice it to me."
"I can't believe you told Stephen I could break the rope."
Tim shrugged. "Sooner or later. You don't need both parties to do this."
"Then why don't you do it?"
"You know why." Isn't that obvious enough?
"Maybe I want to hear it from you, baby bird."
"Because I don't want to break it, satisfied! I don't want to give it up just yet."
"It?" Jason raised his hand. "The red line? Because you desperately want a soul mate?"
"No, because I desperately want you to be my soul mate."
Jason smiled. "Is it so hard to say it?"
"Yes, dumbass."
Jason's smile grew brighter. He put his outstretched hand behind the other's head, and as soon as he pulled Tim hard enough, he kissed.Tim was suddenly kissed, he was shocked and confused, but everything about Jason puzzled him.
"What is this for?"
"I don't know what I want," Jason said quietly from this distance. His hand was still on the back of Tim's head, and they were so close together. "I don't want a soul mate, never did. But baby bird—I want you. I long for you."
Tim's heart rate started to climb. "You... mean?"
"You think I'm someone who just sleeps with anyone?"
Tim blushed. "I don't know much about you." He had gained a huge amount of information about Jason in just one week, but there were still many things he didn't know about. He wants to know everything about each other.
"That's true," Jason said. "All I want to say is, I like you. I don't want to cut the red thread."
Tim let out a small scream. "Really?"
"Yes."
Tim held Jason's head and kissed it, a little stubble could be felt under his fingertips, and his body leaned forward until there was no gap in the middle. "I like you too," Tim said, climbing onto Jason's lap.
Jason grinned. "Great," he pecked Tim's lips one last time. "You know, the whole soulmate thing, it's still too much for me. It's—it's all fate and eternity and stuff? I just wish I could slow it down. Considering we both do it, They are still a couple bound by fate, my request is really strange."
Tim snorted.
"But I want to give it a chance. If you want to... I don't think being a soulmate is so bad if it's you."
"Tacky," Tim said.
"Shut up." Jason blushed. "I've been thinking about it for a long time, what should I say to you, to save face?"
"Is there anything else in the back?"
"Well, it did. Stephen helped me. It's embarrassing, so I won't let you know." Tim pouted. "It's no use pouting, baby bird, it's not good to be cute."
cute.
"What did she say?"
"She's been laughing at me," Jason said truthfully. "Said we used to be on each other's throats, and I hated the soul mate thing, and within a week I completely lost it. She said it was like a soul mate romance movie. Real-life Pride and Prejudice."
Tim is overjoyed. "She was absolutely right."
"What did Kassan say?" Jason asked.
“She just sat there, ate up my popcorn pops, and watched Romance How I Met Your Mother and complained about Ted Mosby’s hair,” Tim said.Jason couldn't be happier.
"It's Kassan. I love her."
"Me too."
------------------
"It's fake." Black Mask laughed so wildly that his head almost fell off. "I've been figuring out for a week who that poor thing on the other side of your red line is. Who would believe it turned out to be another bat cub." He turned to Tim. "I should have thought that you, too, had disappeared from the streets for a week."
Tim sighed, watching as Jason punched Black Mask again, and the crime lord fell.
"Well, busy with my lover," Jason said.
"Red Hood!" Tim said hastily. Can't believe Jason called him 'lovers' in black mask.
"Isn't it right? It's not wrong."
Black Mask laughed and got up. "The little couple is so sweet, but it doesn't change the fact that you are doing useless work."
Jason let out a long sigh and kicked him over. "Okay, tie him up, the GCPD is coming, let's withdraw."
Tim glanced at Black Mask.He remembers Jason telling him that Black Mask was there when the first red-string pull happened, and Jason had to run.It was the first time they went out on the street since the incident, and Jason vowed to take the man to prison and make an understanding of it.Tim was sure he wanted to do more than get Black Mask arrested, but let him escape for the time being.
"The reds." Bruce's Batman voice came suddenly.
Jason wailed loudly. "Dad, can't you let us go?" Tim looked up with him.Bruce was crouching on the stone statue above his head.
"I see you still have the rope."
"Talk about a hammer, and you keep it for yourself," Jason said.
"The batcave saw me after the patrol," Bruce left, flying off into the night.
"He's so annoying," Jason's words and Tim's asking 'What do you think he's going to do? ' at exactly the same time.
"I don't know, maybe give us another booklet." Jason said seriously.
Tim sighs. He wasn't looking forward to Bruce's lecture at all. However, Jason was right, people who were still involved with Selena were not qualified to teach them a lesson.

Dick gasped with excitement when they reached the Batcave.
"You still have the red thread! I knew it! I'm so happy for you!"
Damian smacked his mouth as usual, showing disgust in his eyes.
"Shut up, little Douding," Jason preempted the boy before he could speak.Damian glared at him.
"Todd, what did you call me just now?"
Bruce walked right past them and took off his mask.He sat down in the chair in front of the Batcomputer, which swung around towards them. "Speak."
"Where does that begin," Tim began. He looked at Damian and Dick. "Do they have to listen too?"
"Must!" Dick yelled.
"If you don't see the excitement, you don't see it for nothing," Damian said with his arms folded.
"You guys leave," Bruce ordered.Damian still wanted to protest, but Dick had already grabbed the little brother by the arm and dragged him away.
"We're going to keep the red line," Jason said.
"You've always had a bad relationship," Bruce pointed out. "Keep fighting."
Tim shrugged. "People change."
"In just one week?"
Jason brushed his hair. "I said, B, you have nothing to do here. He loves me and I love him. Don't worry about it."
"Except I do have to worry," Bruce said. "You're still legally dead."
"Oh," Tim said. "So...you didn't come to break us up?"
Bruce shook his head. "No. You guys have to come up with a new identity that allows you to be seen in public. Tim is a public figure who disappears for a week and reappears with his soul mate. The public will want to know who that person is. "
And that person couldn't be Jason.
"We can figure it out," Tim assured Bruce. "I once created an uncle for myself out of thin air."
Hearing this Bruce laughed, maybe remembering that he even fooled Bruce. "That's good. I'm relieved."
"Wait, that's it? Don't say a few words about us? At least a group of relatives and friends threaten*?" Jason questioned.
"Both of you are my sons."
Jason made a face. "Stop mentioning this soon."
Tim snickered and elbowed his boyfriend. "Just be glad. There's nothing worse. Let's go."
----------------------
"A press conference?" Tim yelled. "You just go out and—" He tugged at the hair on his head in frustration.
"What? You don't want people to know that we're bound?" Jason raised his neck and asked back.
Tim glared at him. "Don't try to blackmail me with this."
"Let me justify a few words. It was Luo who said it was a good idea. In fact, she proposed it. It is said that strange things happen every day in Gotham, and it is not uncommon for someone to be resurrected."
"Harper!" Tim huffed. "Harper can only come up with bad ideas. Just like you. Are you really going to hold a press conference, go out in a big way, and announce that you are Bruce Wayne's long-lost son, and you are bound to me?"
Jason was all smiles. "Hey, this is a real romance. I'm sure a producer will come to us right away and buy the story rights to make a movie. It's a pity they don't know that we are still Red Hood and Red Robin, otherwise the box office Absolutely paid off."
Tim can't laugh or cry. "Jason, we are not short of money. You are now officially Bruce Wayne's legal son and are no longer dead."
Jason hesitated. "That's right. Then do you think I have a share in the inheritance?"
Tim buried his face in his palms. He needs to calm down first.Jason put his arm around Tim's waist and pulled him closer to him.
"Listen, baby bird. I'm sorry."

"Yes. I just... don't want to live my whole life under another name. I like who Jason Todd is. And I want to have my own life," Jason explained. Then, he added in a deeper and richer voice, "With you."
Tim melted instantly. "Jie, do you really think that a few sweet words can coax me to agree?"
"Can you?"
"I hate it when you're right." Tim put his hand on the back of Jason's neck and kissed him.Jason's smile curved around his lips. "Even if you change from a legal death to my legal adoptive brother."
Jason raised his right hand tied with a red thread and shook it three times. "Don't forget, soul mate. No one will gossip. It's all fate."
Tim turned red in the face. "You're really messing around with that word right now."
