【jaytim】Falling In Love In Just a Week
Chapter 6 6
Tim lay all over Jason, waking up from his sleep.
This posture is really indecent. His face was buried in Jason's chest (naked, Jason doesn't like to wear clothes when he sleeps), his head was resting on Jason's arm, and a leg and arm were still hanging on Jason's body. The discovery made him go numb.
"Finally enough sleep?"
Tim closes his eyes as soon as he hears a husky voice above his head.My god, I'm so embarrassed.Just pretend to be asleep.
"Tim, I know you're awake."
Tim rolled off of Jason with a groan, and turned to cover his flushed cheeks. "How long have you been awake?"
"Half an hour?" Jason sat up and stretched his arms. "I'm going to break my arm. Your head is heavy."
Tim wishes he could hide forever. He buried his face in the pillow and moaned silently. "Why didn't you wake me up!" After speaking, he finally dared to look up.His hair was like a chicken coop, and his bangs blocked his eyes, but even so, he could still see Jason across the way through the black locks.
"I just kill people, I'm not a monster." Jason said.
Tim blows bangs from his face and his hair falls back.Jason chuckled, pushed back the hair on his face and tucked it behind him.Such intimacy nearly cooked Tim.
"Jason—"
"Sorry." Jason immediately put his hand down.
"I should apologize," Tim said, sitting up.
Jason tilted his head. "So, decide not to continue being an asshole?"
Tim hugged the pillow tightly to his chest. "Yes," he said, "but first I need coffee."
"It's a small thing." Jason rolled out of bed, and Tim gasped.
"Jason! You—where are your fucking pants?!" He knew Jason was wearing pants when he went to bed. He's shirtless but at least he's wearing one underneath.Except for the red shorts that Tim wasn't staring at, he was almost naked in front of Tim at this moment.
"It's so hot, I took it off last night."
"For God's sake, put it on."
"What's the matter, Timmy, are you satisfied with what you see?"
Tim threw the pillow at him without saying a word. Although he was trained by Batman himself to bully the lie detector, he can't tell lies now.Jason laughed and caught the pillow.
"Okay, okay." He put his trousers back on, and they walked to the kitchen together.Tim looks at the red thread; it's grown long and trails loosely across the floor between them.
"You like to cuddle when you sleep?" Jason said as Tim opened the refrigerator door while Tim was making coffee.
Tim made a face. "Just don't mention it. Kang and Bart have been laughing at me for a long time about this."
"Huh? Have you hugged speedsters and clones? I thought I was special." Jason joked.
Tim was silent. He couldn't figure out why Jason was so fond of joking this morning, it was obvious that the two of them had a... very unpleasant fight last night. "Jason—"
"Eat first," Jason interrupted him. "Let's talk after eating."
Tim gave him a grateful smile. "good."
------------------
After eating, brushing teeth, and taking a shower. After tidying up, they met in the living room.Tim sat awkwardly on the corner of the sofa, afraid he wasn't far enough away from Jason. He hugged a sofa cushion in front of him.No matter what happens next, this thing is his strong shield.
"Sorry," Tim said quietly. "I was so good at finding trouble last night."
Jason hummed. "No, it's my fault."
Tim was surprised. "You apologize? For what?"
"I didn't think about that at all. You... you want a soul mate. I thought you had no idea about a soul mate like I do," Jason explained. He held a cup of hot tea in his hand. His favorite Earl Gray tea. "When you found out that that person was me, you must have been hit hard."
Tim didn't know what to say for a moment. "A lot of people don't want a soulmate," he said. "it's not your fault."
Jason turned to look at him. "I just never thought you'd be different. You—in the line of work, we're soul mates is a drag. And you're the perfect little soldier for Bruce, Detective. Thought you'd It's harsher than him."
Tim glared at him. "Don't call me that," he said. "I'm not Bruce's perfect soldier. Bruce has Selena too."
Jason sighed. "Then why? Aren't your parents not soul mates?"
"No, but, I..." Tim shrugged, squeezing the pillow harder. "So stupid. Forget it, I forgive you."
"I want to hear it." Jason turned around completely this time. "please tell me."
Tim pursed his lips. "I knew my parents weren't soul mates. My mother found her one before marriage and then split up with him right after seven days of redline. I could see how my parents didn't get along. Happiness. I always wonder what life would have been like if my mother hadn't cut the red thread. Maybe she would have been happy.
You know, after Stephen and Kassan met, I really hated the so-called red line during that time.Of course I am happy for them now, but at the time it was as if you introduced your girlfriend to your friend, and the red thread decided their marriage without authorization. "
Jason looked at Tim and listened silently. It's weird, how he feels about Stephanie and Kassan, what about his parents, what about soul mates in general, things that he doesn't tell anyone else.
"I'm sad. But I saw how happy they were together, and I was relieved because I thought..." Tim looked straight at the ring finger and the knot on the ring finger, "It's okay , I will find my own one day, and then I will understand."
"Tim—"
"It wasn't your fault," Tim said. "It's just that fate likes to play tricks on me. I know it's silly to say that, but you don't have to blame yourself too much. I'm a mature adult who can stand up to it, and I shouldn't have the old-fashioned soulmate dream. Especially as a vigilante. He chuckled, but Jason put his hand on Tim's shoulder.
"It's normal to be upset," Jason said. "I'm sorry, but I can't give you what you want. I really hope... hope that there is another person waiting for you at the other end of the red line."
Tim looked up, and the two happened to meet each other's eyes. "I always thought you hated me."
Jason sneered. "Obviously that's not the case. I don't think I ever did. But I can understand it the other way around."
"I didn't," Tim confessed. "Never had."
"You should hate me. I'm a complete asshole."
Tim is happy. "It's too innocent for you to say that you are too innocent."
Jason also smiled, just curled his lips, but there was no doubt that he was smiling. "Shut up. I'm sorry, Tim. For what I did to you and continue to treat you so badly. Calling you a 'replacement'. And taking away your cheesy old-timer's chance at true love gone."
Tim gave him a pillow slap. "Stop making fun of me!"
Laughing Jason grabbed the pillow. "Why do you still hit me with a pillow like this?"
"Don't laugh at me again, and I won't hit you."
"It's too easy to tease you," Jason said.Tim pouted and Jason giggled. He leaned back, his head thrown back, on the back of the sofa. "Do you know why I never wanted a soul mate?"
"Never?" Tim asked.
"Never," Jason popped the no. "Maybe it's flattering in your eyes, but growing up in Crime Alley, you know it's shit. I've seen pimps, drug dealers, sadists hanging around on a red string, and the thought of who they're with Tethered together, with fate forcing them to live together for no reason, it makes me so fucking mad. They don't deserve to be loved at all, and the people on the other side of the red line deserve someone better."
Now it was Jason's turn to pinch the pillow. He turned slightly to look at Tim. "My mom had a soul mate," he said.Catherine Todd, Tim doesn't know much about her except what's on file. She is a drug addict, not Jason's biological mother, but they depend on each other for life.Jason didn't mention her much. "She would tell me about that guy once in a while. She loved him."
"And what happened?" Tim asked.
"They met and spent seven days together. I didn't even know the man's name, and she didn't tell me. They were young at the time, and I think she was about your age when she met the man. She said he was Dude from Gotham's elite, she fell in love that week. He charmed her, flooded her with good looks and life, and she fell for the idiot. Wait until Red Monday is over, and the guy… ...severe the relationship neatly, because she is the bottom of Gotham, and he can't be seen with such a soul mate by his side." Jason's tone was full of hatred and anger.
Tim knows this type of story all too well. His mother was an example, except for one thing, the two had no feelings for each other.Or at least Tim doesn't know if her partner is in love with her, but it's over before the love begins.
"The worst part is, she didn't complain at all," Jason said. "That bastard played with her and broke her heart. In the end, she still loved her heart and soul. My dad knew about it. Whenever she mentioned that man, he would beat her up."
Tim took a sharp breath. "Jason, I don't know this. I'm sorry..."
"You're not talking nonsense, baby bird. How could you know?" Jason sighed. "Soul mates are both angels and devils. There's the romantic, love-at-first-sight match of a devil bastard and his best friend. Most of the time, however, it's the opposite and leaves you and everyone around you scrambling. They're stupid, I Hate them. I've seen the shit they do, the shit they do to people like my mother."
Tim's heart aches for Jason. He moved closer, but didn't know what to do.hug him? They're not that close, are they?He just put his hand on Jason's. This gesture made the red thread of the two entangled in each other's hands, which made them even more intimate somehow.
"I understand," he said quietly.
"I can't give you what you want," Jason said. "But hey—you can still find love. Tens of thousands of people can be happy without a soulmate, can't they? It's just—I can't be that one. Obviously, even if I don't hate the soulmate thing. We The two are definitely not a suitable couple."
Tim grinned ugly. "That's right." Saying it himself was more painful than he imagined.
"But I mean it," Jason said. "Yesterday. I said I hope at least we can turn enemies into friends."
Tim smiles. "I feel fine."
"Then I'm very happy."
"Don't get too complacent," Tim said.
Jason just smiled. "Okay, stalker."
Tim blushed. "Shut up." He moved his hands from Jason's back to his lap. "Thank you for telling what's on your mind."
Jason shrugged. "You also told me that it would be fair for me to show," he said. "By the way, among your titan friends..."
"Anyone bound? No, I was the first one." Doesn't matter, anyway, his red thread broke after two days. "You know, if I as a child knew that you were my soul mate, I would definitely go crazy with joy."
Jason sat up straight. "Who? Me?"
"You were Robin then."
"Yeah, but I'm second," Jason said. "The second generation is nothing to look at. The first generation makes people miss it, or is it just a Robin and you don't pick it?"
Tim shook his head. "First of all, Dick is so much older than me. Second, you were my Robin. I adored you."
Jason chuckled. "I'm going to you. I thought..."
"how?"
"That's right, I'm at the bottom of everyone's favorite list."
Tim grins. "What are you talking about, that's Damian."
"You're right. Thanks Tim. You must be disappointed, though, that the childhood hero turned into what he is now."
"Not disappointed," Tim said. "Except for when you beat me up. But we're friends now, which is much better than I thought when I was a kid."
"Wow, your mouth is sweet, baby bird." Jason's ears turned red after he finished teasing Tim. "Hey, do you want to make some gestures?"
"what?"
"I mean—we're getting sentimental here, it's not my thing," Jason said. "And I haven't been active for a long time. It's going to rust."
Tim rolled his eyes first and smiled. "It's only been a few days. Well, let's compete."
------------------
He misses fighting people so much. He's been working out alone in his room for the past few days, yet it's his nature to play against other people. So did Jason.
They're in sync, their movements are in sync, their bodies fit so seamlessly that Tim is frankly intimidated.Rivalry - it's fun.Dodge Jason's attack, move around him, use your own speed and agility to make up for the gap in strength and size between the two sides, and counterattack Jason.Jason even offered to use a long stick, which, of course, was Tim's forte. After all, this is the weapon he chose himself.
I don't know how long they fought, and Tim was sweating and panting by the end. Both were stripped and shirtless, and Tim must admit, he was starting to get distracted.
I can't control my stupid brain anymore. It's likely that it's not just the brain that responds to Jason.Don't be so hard, Tim was thinking, Jason suddenly restrained him when he was not paying attention, Tim's back was pressed against Jason's chest, and the stick swung around Tim's throat.
"Be careful, baby bird," Jason joked. "pay attention."
Tim grunted. He didn't pay attention enough. It's just that the focus of attention is not right. He elbowed back and broke free from the opponent's hand. Then he turned sideways and raised his leg to bring Jason down, and the situation was reversed. This time it was Tim who held the stick against the opponent's jaw and held Jason down.
A smile played on Tim's lips. "What did you just say?"
"Damn it." Jason let out a breath. "alright, you win."
Tim blinked, watching Jason lying beneath him, their bare chests so close together, himself straddling each other.Jason didn't say a word, just stared at Tim fiercely, and Tim was terrified.
He got up quickly. "That's all for today," he said, holding out his hand to the other party.Jason took over and pulled himself up.
"Yes," Jason whispered, looking away. "You're right."
One more day, he told himself.Just one more day and it's over and you can stop thinking about how fucking good Jason Todd is.
----------------
"Why are you following me?" Tim demanded. After all, as soon as he turned around, Jason's chest rushed towards him.
"I'm sleeping here, do you still need to ask?"
"But the rope is so long." They got along so well, how could it be shortened. It was a good day. They stretched their bodies and talked about some inner thoughts.
"Rope, it's rope again." Jason rolled his eyes and lay down on the bed. "You want to sleep on the sofa and go to sleep by yourself, the place is so hard. I've had enough sleep. A rich young man like you should at least buy a more comfortable sofa."
You are also a wealthy young man from a rich family, and Wayne's name is there, Tim refrained from arguing. "but I……"
Jason glanced up at him, lips curled up. "Why? The problem of hugging people after falling asleep embarrasses you?"
exactly. "Shut up."
"I don't mind. You can lie on me." Jason opened his arms. For God's sake, does this guy know how much of an influence he has on Tim.
"I don't think that's a good idea—Jay!" Jason had pulled Tim all over himself.Jason's laughter was transmitted completely through the vibration of his chest.
"It's not fun!"
"It's interesting."
Tim looked up and found that their faces were almost touching. He caught his breath and rolled off Jason. "We're going to block the middle," he proclaimed. "I took out all the pillows and put a wall in between."
"Just toss around on the bed, baby bird"
This damn nickname is just adding to the chaos!Tim groans in frustration. He knew quite well what was wrong with him.He also understands that denying and denying won't help... But what else can he do at this stage.
This posture is really indecent. His face was buried in Jason's chest (naked, Jason doesn't like to wear clothes when he sleeps), his head was resting on Jason's arm, and a leg and arm were still hanging on Jason's body. The discovery made him go numb.
