HP Dawn Night
Chapter 14 Slytherin vs. Gryffindor
News came from Gryffindor the day after Hallowe'en - Potter and Weasley stunned the troll and saved Hermione Granger.
Potter was a hero again, much to Draco's displeasure.
After entering November, the weather gradually turned cold. The mountains around the school were gray and covered with ice and snow, and the lake was as hard, cold and beautiful as a diamond. There is frost every morning, which makes us put on gloves one after another. Some students who are afraid of the cold have already wrapped themselves tightly with hats and scarves.
"This damn weather." Pansy pushed open the door of the lounge and stumbled in. Behind her, Blaise was not doing well, his hair seemed to be covered with frost.
Draco and I quickly got up to make room near the fireplace, and they both sat down unceremoniously, looking terribly cold.Trembling, Pansy took off her gloves and took out a rolled note from her pocket:
"We met Professor Snape on our way back from the library, and he asked me to bring this to you."
"Thank you." I unfolded the note, and it was in my father's handwriting:
"Your extracurricular tutoring is suspended once this week. Wait for my next message." How concise and to the point, it's completely father's style.
My extracurricular tutoring officially started in the second week after school started, and I had to receive individual guidance from my father every Friday night. My father didn't think it was necessary for me to start learning Occlumency in a hurry, so he always taught me some extensions in tutoring, and by this opportunity I had already learned a few Occlumency spells first.
"What's wrong?" Draco asked, fiddling with a planetarium.
"Father said to suspend a tutoring session." I crumpled up the parchment and threw it into the fire, watching it turn to ashes.Pansy interrupted suddenly:
"Professor Snape's leg appears to be injured."
Seeing me looking over suspiciously, Blaise added: "It looks pretty serious, and I'm limping when I walk."
I thought about it, and decided to write another letter to my mother, asking her to send me some balm and a strong white moss compound.Father should use it.
"By the way, the Quidditch season has begun." I let Bethany fly away, and when I returned to the sofa, Draco had put down his planetarium and was lazily saying, "Let's bet Potter can How about a few minutes on the broom?"
"Even if Gryffindor beat us, they still didn't have as many points as us in the House Cup," Pansy said.
"Potter's training is very intensive." I remembered seeing Potter walking on the Quidditch pitch with a broom before, and couldn't help saying, "I hope Flint's tactics will work."
Slytherins seem to favor tall, muscular builds when it comes to their Quidditch players - such as Marcus Flint, Derian Pusey and Terrence Higgins, all of whom have superb His muscles are full of momentum every time he stops there.
"I hope so," Pansy continued.
Slytherins have always had a much more refined way of expressing their affection. The seniors were talking about making a banner for the competition, and they had prepared some glittery snake badges with the words 'Slytherin must win'.
"It seems that we plan to continue to win the Academy Cup this year." Draco said while taking out his wizard chess, "Anyone want to play a game with me?"
"Hey, Blaise, Draco will call you again." Both Pansy and I had already experienced Draco's chess skills, so we urged Blaise to fight together.
"Why don't we change something to play, such as a killing game?" Blaise said preparedly.
"What's that?" I asked curiously.
"Well...it's actually a kind of Muggle game, if you're not interested, forget it." Blaise said meaningfully.I think he's clearly pushing the boundaries of Draco and Pansy.
Sure enough, Draco and Pansy frowned in unison.
"Tell me!" I asked before the two of them could speak.
"A very popular game among Muggle kids," Blaise said slowly, and I noticed that Draco and Pansy were clearly interested in his words. "Everyone plays a role. Civilian, killer or The police, and one person is the judge, and everyone must obey the judge's password instructions."
He stopped abruptly at this point.I'm listening with gusto:
"You haven't said how to play yet."
Brestan smiled calmly and spread his hands: "Forget it. After all, it's not very good to play Muggle games in the Slytherin lounge. Besides, I can't explain it clearly. You have to play it to know."
The three of us didn't speak for a while.
"Otherwise the four of us first..." Pan Xi hesitated for a while before saying.
"Unfortunately, there must be at least six people in this game." Blaise explained with a smile.
Pansy flinched sullenly.I also feel the same: after all, there are too few games in the wizarding world! And Draco, although he tried his best to look disinterested, unfortunately his expression gave himself away.
On Saturday morning, I received the medicine from my mother.I was relieved that she didn't ask me what I wanted them for.
I wanted to get it to my father as soon as possible, but the Slytherins wouldn't let anyone miss a Quidditch match. So I had to put them in my schoolbag and give them to my father after the game.
"Come on, Higgins!"
"Well done, Flint!" The Slytherins encouraged each other, "Won Potter!"
"Yes, let Gryffindor go home crying!"
The Slytherins didn't end up with banners, but everyone wore special badges that glowed and flashed. It looks much more refined than the Gryffindor banner——
"They used sheets for banners?" Draco looked in Gryffindor's direction in disgust.
"That Granger's magic is passable." Pansy commented critically.Ever since Pansy successfully cast the Levitating Charm in the Charms class, her interest in spells has skyrocketed, and she flips through the book "Introduction to Interesting Magic" all day long.
Gryffindor's Angelina Johnson scored and the game started to look less friendly.A golden light flashed, and Lee Jordan shouted, "Is that the Snitch?"
Flint nearly knocked Potter off the ground, and Alicia Spinnet made the penalty for Gryffindor. Then Slytherin scored a goal.
"What's wrong with Potter?" Blaise stood up suddenly. It was the same throughout the stands, people talking and talking, while Potter hung dangerously in midair, his broomstick twitching and writhing wildly.Potter managed to keep himself from being thrown with only one hand.
"Someone tampered with Potter's halo!" Draco said with a worried face.
"But unless it's... dark magic, no jinx can interfere with a broomstick, let alone a Nimbus 2000." The broomstick struggled so hard that Potter was on the verge of falling. The Weasley twins tried to get closer to him, but the moment they got closer, the broomstick shot higher.
"Something has to be done." Blaise murmured looking at Potter's situation.
But in mid-air, Potter was suddenly able to climb back to his broom.
"What's the matter?" I noticed that the teacher's bench was in chaos, but there was something more noticeable - Potter was descending rapidly, covering his mouth with his hand, as if he was about to spit out something.
"Merlin!" Potter landed on all fours, and then he seemed to cough for a while, and when he straightened up and raised his hand, we all saw the Snitch desperately flopping in his hand.
"That's absolutely impossible! He didn't catch it!" Draco said angrily. The vast majority of Slytherins agree with him, and are in a bad mood.
"It's okay, we still have games." After returning to the lounge, the members of the Slytherin team gathered to comfort each other.
Curses about Potter spit from their mouths now and then.
"It's a pity that we lost to Gryffindor, but I don't think gathering in the lounge and cursing Potter will improve anything." Blaise glanced at them and said coldly.
"At least they should think about their reasons." Pencey was the first to agree with Blaise.Draco glanced at me and sighed:
"The godfather should not be happy."
Pansy and Blaise looked at me.
As a result, I found that the group of people not far away was also quietly looking at me.As soon as it came into my sight, I immediately avoided it.
"I'll go find my father." Their eyes were too hot, making me feel as if I had taken on the important task of calming my father's anger. This is when I suddenly remembered that I hadn't given him the medicine yet, so I decided to send it before lunch.
—By the way, avoid the crowd in the lounge.
The underground corridor was still dark and cold. When I knocked on the door of the office, my father was standing in front of a cauldron peeling the fruit of life.
"Vio?" He was obviously surprised when he saw me, "I told you to wait for my next message." Father put down the life fruit, walked around the crucible and walked behind the desk.I noticed that he did have trouble moving his legs.
"Here are some emollients and white moss, I think maybe you need it." I put the two bottles on his desk and added, "The enhanced version is definitely useful."
But my father's cold eyes obviously did not mean that he appreciated my little humor.
"I haven't... uh... finished my History of Magic essay. I'm going back first, bye!" I made up a fake reason and planned to get away.
"Wait a minute." My father stopped me unexpectedly, and he handed me an old notebook, "Professor Flitwick said that your grades in Charms are very good, I assume you will like these interesting ones." Little curse?"
It seems that this is my father's notes back then. Now I really need an extra small charm to show my magic level-after all, Slytherin depends on strength to speak. So I happily took it: "That's great, thank you."
"These are elementary spells, not offensive." Father's cool voice came over, "Just play with them once in a while, don't think about using them to duel with others—such as in the dormitory."
Potter was a hero again, much to Draco's displeasure.
