Chapter 1: Collision

In Chongqing on September [-]rd, the sun was still warm at five o'clock, and there were still cicadas screaming tirelessly on the trees, like the heat in the air. It was almost evening, and there was still no sign of disappearing. The regular calls, combined with the gurgling of the suitcase under Wei Ning's feet, formed a tiring symphony.

On the platform where the high-speed rail came out, there were several long lines of people who wanted to take the bus to the university town. Wei Ning narrowed his short-sighted eyes slightly, and discerned the school sign in front of the line, and found that it was the shortest line.

There are constant chatter and laughter, voices coming from the surroundings, and occasional nagging voices from parents, "I'm going to college, do my own things, this time I will leave it to you..."

With a bag on his back and a suitcase in his hand, Wei Ning stood out among the freshmen surrounded by their parents.

The buses drove away one by one, and they arrived in front of Wei Ning in a short while. Wei Ning sat down next to the driver uncle, reached out and took out the mask to put it on. This action made the enthusiastic driver uncle grin and ask: "Young man, what are you talking about?" Gao, are you still motion sick?"

Wei Ning pulled off half of the mask and said with a smile: "The distance is short and you won't get dizzy. It will take an hour to check the route, so wear some insurance."

The uncle heard that Wei Ning did not speak Sichuan dialect, so he smiled and said in Mandarin: "Most of the people here are locals, brother, don't mind the dialect just now."

"No, no, I just don't know if there will be a traffic jam in a while?" Wei Ning asked curiously.

After listening to the driver, the uncle replied heartily: "It's just a short while, it will be much faster when we get to the front. Those cars go to the main city, and my car goes to the suburbs."

Wei Ning knew that the school was in the suburbs. When he heard that there was no traffic jam, he took off the mask and put it back in his bag. Looking at the scenery along the road, he found that many street trees turned out to be ginkgo biloba, with fan-shaped leaves, very recognizable.

As the driver said, the journey was very smooth. It took only five or ten minutes to jump out of the car. The enthusiastic driver waved to Wei Ning before driving forward gracefully.

The place where we got off the bus was facing the school gate, and the flow of people walked in spontaneously. In the evening sun, Wei Ning looked up at the place where he would study for the next four years.

There is a deep green in the eyes, with lush trees on both sides, and a circle of green halo in the evening. The white school gate looks inclusive and heavy under the heavy green package.

As if the fatigue from the journey had been soothed, a relaxed smile appeared on Wei Ning's handsome face.

The twittering crowd immediately flocked to the reception area for freshmen. Wei Ning looked up at the banners at the various reception areas—the Teachers College, the Law School, the Psychology College... he was in front of the "College of Liberal Arts", and he didn't expect the suitcase behind him to be suddenly smashed by something. After pushing it, he fell back uncontrollably. Adding the weight of the box itself, Wei Ning almost brought him down. Fortunately, Wei Ning held on tightly and managed to stand on his toes.

Then a person quickly ran over to the side, bringing a gust of hot wind.

"He Qianshu, don't run away, you just want to leave without apologizing when you bump into your junior? I've seen it all!" The senior at the reception stood up, pointing at the human who ran in front of Wei Ning.

It was a very tall boy, wearing a red and white ball uniform, and his running posture was smooth and vigorous.

"Hey, I said He Qian... I'm obviously going to pick up the ball. Tell me about you. You are so cute, but why do you have such bad eyes?" The man turned around. He was quite tall, with very handsome features and broken hair. His eyes were narrow and affectionate, Wei Ning couldn't help but stare blankly.

He moved his long legs, swayed over, and said sincerely, "I'm sorry, junior, did you hit something?"

"No." Wei Ning said succinctly.

"Hey, junior is this year's freshman? With this height, are you interested in joining our basketball club? It's time to recruit new students." He Qianshu walked up to him, as if he had just noticed Wei Ning's height, and spoke in a low voice. the voice asked.

"He Qianshu, you! Junior, don't pay attention to him. This person is used to joking. I am He Qian, a sophomore in the Faculty of Arts. I will take you to go through the formalities to get the dormitory supplies first." He Qian gave He Qianshu a look, and then Pulling Wei Ning, he walked out quickly.

Hearing the familiar tone, Wei Ning wanted to come to meet this boy, senior sister. After thanking senior sister, he turned to look at He Qianshu who was still standing at the reception desk. She also stretched out her hand to him and shook it left and right.

Wei Ning quietly followed her senior sister to go through various procedures. Although He Qian was petite, she was unambiguous when queuing up. She went through registration, received dormitory supplies, and then applied for a campus card. After a series of procedures, it was already close to seven o'clock , the two happened to be walking on a street full of shops.

"There is a food street near here. There are all kinds of snacks, fruit shops and second-hand bookstores here. If Wei Ning wants to change your taste, you can find everything here~" He Qian assured her.

Wei Ning looked at the bustling winding street in front of him. There were several fruit shops in front of him, followed by various snack shops. The crowds were bustling with people looking for food. At dinner time, is there any restaurant recommended by Senior Sister, I will treat Senior Sister to dinner."

"Haha, no need, senior sister, I'm going to lose weight at night, and I haven't eaten staple food lately~" He Qian laughed out loud after hearing Wei Ning's words.

Wei Ning looked at the petite figure of the senior, and didn't know how to interface...

"Is it okay to skip the staple food and the juice? It's not good for my senior to lead me through such a long queue for nothing."

Seeing Wei Ning's insistence, He Qian could only laugh and said, "Then bring me a glass of kiwi juice, by the way, without sugar."

Just imagining the sourness without sugar in his mind, Wei Ning's eyes twitched, and he walked to the first drink shop in the food street to buy juice.

After a little stroll, the two of them came to the intersection of the food street in a short while. Going up is the dormitory where Wei Ning lives. The senior sister has to turn left and go back. She waved at Wei Ning with a juice and said with a smile: "Wei Ning, go down!" see you again~"

Wei Ning sent his senior sister away, and went back to buy daily necessities, such as quilts and pillows, and the rest, such as washbasins and mats, had to be bought by himself.

Back to the door of the dormitory with big bags and small bags. This dormitory building, the senior sister said, is one of the oldest dormitory buildings. The outside is gray and white walls. When you walk in, the stairs are also gray and white. The railings are a little rusty, and the walls are like It had just been painted, and the fresh white was a bit harsh.

When Wei Ning had just finished receiving the dormitory supplies, Wei Ning glanced roughly at the interior of the dormitory, and only noticed that there were four gray iron frame beds, a ceiling fan in the middle, and four desks put together underneath. There is a balcony which is clean and airy.

Now there are only Wei Ning's things, and I was the first one to come on the first day when I wanted to sign up.

Wei Ning chose the bed on the left side of the door, fetched water to wipe the floor of the bed frame, and turned on the fan. When fetching water, he accidentally discovered that there was a water heater in the bathroom. I have seen the structure of the iron frame bed before, so I have to say that I was a little surprised.

Tidying up the trivial matters until nine o'clock, Wei Ning fell directly on the bed after washing, and looked at his phone before going to sleep, quietly, without any calls or text messages, and smiled self-deprecatingly.

Tired of running around and sitting on the train for so long and going through formalities everywhere on campus, Wei Ning soon fell asleep.
