Mingjing Temple is one of the largest temples near the capital.

The temple is large and famous, with many monks and pilgrims. It was built in the suburbs more than 20 miles away from Beijing.

Yun Qi felt the popularity of Mingjing Temple while he was still in the carriage.

The snow on the road was cleaned, and there were many small stalls on the side, selling incense candle offerings, fruits and vegetables, hot tea, and lottery fortune-telling. Although it was cold, there were many customers.

The arrival of the monks at Kudu Temple and the reverence for Buddhism in today’s world have also indirectly promoted the business of surrounding temples—if you can’t go to Kudu Temple, then go to other temples to burn more incense sticks.

However, although Mingjing Temple is lively, ordinary pilgrims are concentrated in the front hall. After all, they burn incense and worship Buddha here.

The apse is much cleaner, but there are also many people. Most of the people who come to play or rest are scholars or family members of wealthy families.

Emperor Qiandi and Yun Qi and their group, although their clothes were not luxurious, none of them would look down upon them.

The Buddha worshiped, the lottery was drawn, the sesame oil was added, and the long-burning lamp was lit. I went to the plum garden smoothly, saw the murals, appreciated the poems left by literati and inkmen, and ate the most famous vegetarian meal in Mingjing Temple. .

Yunqi, who grew up in a temple, realized for the first time that there are so many famous temples in the temple, and it is by no means as simple as morning and evening classes, cleaning, eating and sleeping.

The vegetarian restaurant in Mingjing Temple is well-deserved, and the taste is quite good. The vegetarian chicken tastes like chicken, and the vegetarian lamb tastes like mutton. Even the steamed buns are extra soft and delicious, and the mushroom soup is even more delicious. Yun Qi drank a small cup and then ordered a second cup .

Yun Qi was still drinking soup, Emperor Qian had already had a plate of oranges after dinner, and said while eating, "Where are we going next?"

Yun Qi took a sip of the soup and looked up, only to realize that everyone's eyes were on him, and he asked in astonishment, "Ask me?"

Emperor Qian said: "If you don't ask, who are you asking?"

Yun Qi said angrily: "How do I know!"

Shouldn't you guys arrange this kind of thing, and I'll walk around with you, and it's enough to be a cover?

You actually came to ask me!

I have only been in the capital for a few days?

You landlords are too dishonest!

Emperor Qian coughed dryly: "Why don't you make a fortune?"

"It doesn't count!"

Yun Qi finished the last sip of soup, took another steamed bun, and handed it to Qing Yi: "Keep Fat Duner for dinner at night."

"Go!" Emperor Qian handed the peeled orange to the young man beside him, and said, "I said, don't embarrass me? I... I give you so much money a year. You bet on horses yesterday." You have won a lot, isn't it enough for you to eat a few buns?"

Juzi Yunqi also likes to eat, took it and stuffed a piece into his mouth, and said casually: "Momo with eggs, where else can I sell it?"

Emperor Qian was slightly taken aback, and glanced at Zhang Cheng. Zhang Cheng stepped forward and put one in his sleeve, and said with a smile: "This bun, even the little ones like to eat tight."

Yun Qi said: "Why is it so troublesome, if you really want to find evidence, you can go to their kitchen to find out. The vegetarian chicken is filled with minced meat, the vegetarian noodles are boiled with high broth, and the mushroom soup is filled with poppies."

Emperor Qian said: "You know you still eat?"

Not only eat, but also eat more than him!

Yun Qi said: "Why don't you eat delicious food? I haven't kept the precepts."

He eats vegetarian every day in Kudu Temple, so he will be greedy too!

"This..." Emperor Qian ordered the food on the table: "Is it also calculated?"

Yun Qi shook his head: "It was eaten."

He is not a god, he can count anything.

"You really grew up in a monk's temple?"

Such a tricky tongue, can the monk temple keep it?

Yun Qi ignored him.

After eating vegetarian food, they followed fate again, rejected the guidance of the monks in the temple, and started to wander in the back garden.

The team was a little loose, but basically, Qin Yi and the others followed Qiandi, Qiandi followed Yunqi, Yunqi followed Pangdun, and as for Pangdun...God knows what it is following.

The team became more and more scattered, and finally they all went their own way.

……

In the dense forest, there is a pond with a radius of ten feet, surrounded by stone steps. In the middle of the pond stands a statue of Bodhisattva, with kind eyebrows, kind eyes and compassionate faces.

There was ice in the middle of the pond, but the surrounding ice cubes were smashed to reveal crystal clear water.

On the edge of the pool, an old woman dressed luxuriously and with four pretty little maids folded her hands together and chanted scriptures with her eyes closed. Two young novice monks stood beside her. fish.

The old woman was chanting sutras when she suddenly heard movement beside her. She opened her eyes and was about to reprimand her, but she found that at some point on the ground, there was a fat little milk dog, which was leaning over the water basin curiously. Looking inside, the fish inside jumped wildly in shock.

The old woman frowned, the girl yelled "go" twice, stomped her feet a few times, the little milk dog whimpered in fright, turned around and ran away.

The old woman was about to ask the novice at the side where the dog came from, when she saw a white-clothed boy, Shi Shiran, coming from the path in the forest, and the wronged little milk dog rushed to his feet, complaining .

The young man picked up the little puppy and walked over, glanced into the water basin, then turned to the old woman, and asked, "Before the Bodhisattva, if you do this evil thing, aren't you afraid that your life will be lost?"

The old woman was thinking, whose child is this, born so beautiful, when she was about to ask, when she heard such a sentence, her face suddenly turned ugly.

The girl next to her said angrily: "What are you talking about? What evil? My old lady is merciful, and she came here to release life in the ice and snow, just to do good deeds and accumulate virtue. What nonsense are you talking about?"

Pointing to the wooden basin, he said triumphantly: "This pure golden carp has heard scriptures in front of the Bodhisattva, and this tortoise has a lifespan of ten thousand years. Saving its life is better than a hundred..."

The young man let out an "oh", his eyes fell on the ancient stone tablet beside him, and he said, "So this is the release pool!"

The girl said: "Is this the first time you come to the temple? You don't even know about the release pool! Now that you know, why don't you ask our old lady for your sins?"

Yun Qi said: "I don't know how much happiness these little turtles can increase, but I do know that such a small turtle lives freely in the water, even if it is accidentally caught by a fisherman, it will be released back, so as not to be caught by a fisherman. Killed in vain.

"But now, they are sold for sky-high prices, no one puts them back into the water, but brings them here for sale, eight out of ten are tossed to death before being released.

"As for these golden carps, I don't know if they listened to the scriptures in front of the Bodhisattva, but I do know that they were caught and released, released and caught, caught and released...until they die."

The little girl was speechless, and looked at the old woman in a daze.

Yun Qi said: "I heard that after spring every year, hundreds of people come here to release animals in this small one every day...Even if one person only releases one, it will be 30 in [-] days, and [-] in ten years. strip……

"I'm just curious, can this small pool support 30 fish?

"Also... the 30 fish in here, where are they now?"

Yun Qi raised his eyes, looked at the old lady, and asked: "This old lady, are you releasing or killing?"

A look of hesitation flashed in the old woman's eyes, and her eyes wandered between Yunqi, the wooden basin and the Bodhisattva in the center of the pond.

Yun Qi said again: "People in the world praise Bodhisattva's thousand-handed, thousand-eyed, omniscient, but on the other hand think that doing good things in front of Bodhisattva is considered merit, and bad things are done behind Bodhisattva's back, and then there is no sin... How ridiculous?"

After finishing speaking, he ignored them, hugged Xiaopangdun and left, and said in a low voice: "Release life, release life, what kind of life are you releasing? Eat less, it's called life release."

Several people looked at each other, the little girl looked at his back, then looked at the old woman, and said: "Old lady, in this life, we still won't let it go!"

……

Not long after Yun Qi left the release pool, he met someone, a master in cassock, with kind eyebrows and kind eyes, and a few long beards fluttering.

"The poor monk is kind and polite. Dare I ask this little benefactor, where did he come from?"

Yun Qi smiled and said, "Jiangnan."

"It turned out to be a person from the south of the Yangtze River, so it's no wonder that he is so beautiful." Master Ci'an praised, and then said: "The poor monk used to practice in the south of the Yangtze River in the past, and the scene of the south of the Yangtze River is still fresh in my memory... I don't know where the fairyland of the little benefactor is in the south of the Yangtze River , why don’t you see your companions by your side?”

Master Ci'an's voice was calm and moving, and Yun Qi didn't feel bored while talking to him, and unconsciously walked further and further away.

Ci'an suddenly said "Ah", and said: "It's the poor monk's fault. It's rare to meet him, but he brought the benefactor here without knowing it... Not far in front is the poor monk's Zen room, the little benefactor might as well go in and have a drink." tea, and the poor monk will send the little benefactor back?"

Yun Qi said: "Then bother."

In Master Ci'an's meditation room, water is readily available, and you sit on the fire, and you can get tea as soon as you brew it.

Yun Qi took a sip and said, "Does Master live alone?"

Master Ci'an nodded and said, "Exactly."

Yun Qi said: "Why don't you let a few young novice monks serve you?"

Master Ci'an shook his head and said, "The Buddha said that all living beings are equal, not to mention being disciples of the same Buddhist sect, how can there be any distinction between high and low? Is there any reason for people to serve them?"

Yun Qi smiled, lowered his head and took another sip of tea.

Master Ci'an looked at him and said with a smile: "The benefactor thinks, how about the tea here...?"

"Okay?"

Yun Qi closed his eyes, shook his head, wanted to get up, but fell down again, and said: "I'm so sleepy...head, dizzy."

"Dizzy? Just faint!"

Seeing Yun Qi lying motionless on the table, Ci'an sneered and said, "I didn't even look at where this place is, but I came here to talk nonsense... If it wasn't for the good skin you gave birth to... Humph!"

He carried Yun Qi on his back effortlessly, and said: "This look, even if it's not good, I'm afraid I can't help but want to try something new... Wait until night... Hehehe... Buddha, I The first to hurt you!"
