What Ford called a big, chunky thing, what Navejit called a Type VI, rolled into the jungle.

This armored vehicle is equipped with rebound armor, and if you try to hit it with heavy fire, then you have to measure the consequences of being hit by your own shells.

"Get out of here." Khan made a decisive decision.

"Oh." Betty was loading her gun, she had already seen the zombies following around the armored vehicle, "I'm afraid it will be difficult to carry out your order, boss."

"Wow." Navejit raised his gun excitedly, "I'm so glad to meet you, Betty, you're still so beautiful! And boss, you're still so handsome!"

Betty rolled her eyes at him, and when Ford landed on the head of a zombie, he tore the zombie in half with his bare hands.

It has to be said that mermaids are actually a fighting race.

Zombies are still appearing in a steady stream, but not all zombies have weapons.

This somewhat relieved Khan.

He took over the photon cannon that Betty had snatched and bombarded the ground ahead a few times. Thanks to the powerful shells, at least it was very convenient and quick to use them to make holes.

A huge, deep pit.

The armored vehicles of the zombies lived up to expectations and fell into the pit.

But more roars came.

"Get out of here." Khan repeated his order again, and Betty and Navejit really stopped fighting, and even Ford ran in the direction they came from obediently.

Arthur was still standing beside Khan.

"I said leave, leave, here, here." Khan's tone was terrible, his voice sounded harsh and cold, "Can't you understand human language?"

"I know when to leave." Arthur responded as he beat the zombie, thick and sharp scales grew on his arms. "Why don't you take care of yourself first?"

"How can I expect that little mermaid head of yours to understand such complicated things."

"At least my mermaid skills are no worse than yours!" Arthur viciously tore up a zombie.

"Get a weapon!"

"No!"

"Then you should avoid this one," Khan said to his merfolk after blowing the head off a sneaking zombie, "You're welcome."

"I didn't intend to thank you."

"Oh." The human voice was low and hoarse, full of magnetism, "Thank you so much for telling me."

Arthur responded by smashing a zombie's spine.

They spent more than half of their time arguing and less than half of their time running away.

Can't help but make people mutter, it's really a miracle that they escaped unharmed.

Now, all the merfolk and the three humans are hiding in a building.

The building used to be a shopping mall, most of its floors were surrounded by vines, only the top few floors broke free from the shackles of plants and pointed straight to the sky.

This is probably the tallest building in the city.

Arthur and his party climbed to the top of the building, where they could have a panoramic view of everything around them.

But the city is no longer what it used to be. Now, as far as their eyes can see, there are endless jungles, and there are five vertical and horizontal traces in these jungles, which are the green passages crushed by the armored vehicles of the zombies.

Now, these armored vehicles surrounded the base of the building.

There are also a steady stream of zombies rushing towards this direction. Their movement speed is not very fast, but judging from the trembling bushes, there are definitely a lot of them.

An atmosphere of silence spread between the mermaid and the humans.

This is probably a very bad situation. Every human or mermaid is evaluating their chances of escaping.

"I don't want my brains eaten by zombies at all," Navejit murmured.

"I'd rather they eat your tongue first." Betty was checking her ammo. "The bad news is, I only have the last clip left."

Ford shrugged: "Don't look at me, I won't use your human weapons, if there is water, we can escape."

Neither Arthur nor his humans spoke. They each occupied a corner, and the atmosphere between each other was as stiff as cement under their feet.

The zombies were crowded at the bottom of the building, they didn't make any attack, they didn't know what they were waiting for, in fact, they just kept gathering.

Navejit waited for a while, and finally he couldn't help but said to Ford: "Why aren't Arthur and the boss talking?"

"Arthur is angry." Ford observed for a while, and came to this conclusion, "Your boss is also angry."

"Oh, this is amazing." Navejit blinked, "I haven't seen my boss angry! Not that he has a good temper, but, in fact, you see, he never does it for anyone angry."

"I really hope they can have a good talk and work out what's going on between them."

"Better fix the zombies before they attack," Betty interjected.

"But, let me say something first." Navejit rubbed his face, "I'm hungry, does anyone want to taste dinner with me first, you can choose apple-flavored nutritional supplements and apple-flavored nutrients."

Night began to fall.

Arthur and the others no longer bothered to count how many zombies surrounded the bottom of the building, they imagined that the number must be terrifying.

The mermaid's eyesight was not affected in the dark, and Ford could still clearly see the expression on his friend's face.

Arthur and Ford sit on their skateboards.

The Khan stood by the railing of the roof.

They divided into groups to watch the night, Betty and Navejit in one group, Arthur, Ford and Khan in one group, and Navejit watched Ford with a sympathetic look.

In fact, Ford only worried about his friends.

"You should talk," said Ford, not trying to lower his voice at all. "Talk and resolve the conflict between you."

"I don't want to talk to him." Arthur muttered vaguely.

"Hey, Arthur." Ford continued to comfort his friend, "I know you are still angry that your humans left you, but I believe you are not as angry as you believe."

"He doesn't even think we're friends, he doesn't trust me at all!"

"But he's your human being," said Ford quietly. "You can fight with him, but you won't hate him forever, will you?"

A hesitant look appeared on Arthur's face.

Finally, five minutes later, Arthur appeared next to Khan wearing his new towel.

Khan stared at the mermaid and the ridiculous towel in front of him.

Oh, is his mermaid trying to make him laugh?

But Arthur just glared at his human being angrily, and he said, "So, now, you still think we are not friends, right?"

Khan looked at his mermaid silently, and finally he said, "It's pointless to be obsessed with this. I thank you for the help you gave me, but I don't need friends."

"Oh." Arthur couldn't help rolling his eyes, "So you just don't understand what your human being means to mermaids, right?"

Khan continued to remain silent, which represented acquiescence.

"I have never regarded you as a pet. Mermaids keep humans in captivity and humans keep pets in captivity. It is not a concept at all." Arthur said, "Mermaid humans represent friends, brothers, and partners to mermaids. It is a very complicated relationship, and once a mermaid wants to establish such a relationship with a human, then he must be very serious, very serious."

"It sounds like you're talking about soul mates." Navejit whispered to Ford, and they now formed a three-person team to eavesdrop on the corner, "What else is a mermaid?"

"We are mermaids." Ford said seriously, but Navejit obviously didn't believe it.

"Oh, a contract between a mermaid and a human?" Betty whispered, "It sounds very romantic."

But the results of Arthur's conversation with Khan were not optimistic.

"I'm afraid you don't understand me, whatever you want from me," Khan replied in his grim voice, "None of what you say means anything to me."

"No matter what you say." Arthur seemed no longer angry, "You are my human being, so I have a responsibility to you."
